"So she's still not talking to you eh?" Helga said as her and Brainy watched Lila from their spot under the big oak tree in the school courtyard.

"Nope," he sighed giving her a feeble smile "Won't even give me the time of day. She won't even look at me."

Helga grumbled and pushed her hair out of her face studying the girl in question with careful eyes. Ever since she had got back from the hospital Lila had been warmer to her but there was still something off about her. Like she was harboring a grudge against her.

"What happened between you two?" she asked watching carefully as the red heads eyes flicked over to them for about the fifth time that minute. A sneaky suspicion forming in her gut.

"Well, she was practicing her dancing in the choir room and I saw that she was having trouble so I went to help her. After the number I kinda...well I kissed her and she went all 'I can't do this' on me." Brainy said blushing "God, I'm so stupid."

Helga said nothing but watched closely as Lil laughed at something that Arnold and Gerald were saying. She watched her body language and the way she would look over at the two of them suddenly. Her eyes flashed with an underlying emotion that Helga recognized only too well. Her hand reached out invoulentarily and she clamped it down on Brainy's arm. He yelped making several people look over at them. Brainy whipped over to look at the blonde and asked her what was up.

"I'm Lila!" she said in an excited whisper her eyes gleaming with discovery.

"Umm...no you're not. You're Helga remember? Are those meds finally getting to that pretty little head of yours?" he put a hand to her forhead as if taking her temperature but she only slapped it away and took his hand in hers.

"No you idiot, don't you see what's happening here? " She waited for him to reply but was only greeted with a blank stare. She rolled her eyes "The roles have reversed Brainy! She's me, I'm her, and your Arnold. Get what I'm saying."

Brainy started and lurched forward his eyes turning wide "So it's not me she was rejecting!? She was just..."

"She just thought that we...eww..that we were something!" Helga giggled "That's why she freaked out when you kissed her. Not because of you but because of me!"

Brainy smiled and ruffled HElga's hair pulling her into a tight hug "You are a little geinus you know that? Okay so now that we know the problem, how are we going to fix it?"

"How do we fix everything now adays?" Helga asked "We put it into song."

"Umm..Helgs after all that has happened between us I don't think she will just sit there and allow me to sing to her."

"Then we will have to make it so she doesn't have a choice." the girl smirked rubbing her hands together evilly.

Brainy looked at her with worried eyes and scooted away from her on the grass "Okay there psycho what's the plan."

"Have you ever been on TV?" she asked

"And today with us our special guest is non other than Johnny Stitches original it girl herself Helga Summers."

Helga smiled in the chair at the camera's that swivled to face her. She struggled to keep her composure as she heard whispers and some jeers come from the crowd watching her. "Hello everyone it's so good to be here." she said in a perky tone that wasn't at all like her normal self. She could see her group of friends out of the corner of her eyes laughing and she fought to keep a straight face.

"Well Miss Helga, we are so glad to have you here with us today." the woman said smiling down at her with a vibrant flamingo pink smile "Now I realize that this is your first public appearance since you were hospitalized for stress is that correct."

Helga gave a nervous giggle and clasped her hands tightly in her lap looking down to make sure that her lacy sleeve was covering all signs of the scar going down her wrist. "Yes, I was hospitalized. I just overworked myself and was severly dehydrated and just collapsed. I didn't even realize just how hard I was working."

"I see," the woman said smiling a meschievious glint in her eyes that made the class in the wings flinch. "Now there have been some rumors that I would like to address, if you don't mind."

Helga pulled her face into a calm smile and shook her head "Not at all, go right ahead."

"Okay, there have been some rumors that you attempted suicide in that hotel and that yuo were only saved by your boyfriend, if I remember correctly."

Arnold tensed and his fingers flexed before tightening up into a fist. His teeth grit together and he felt the overwhelming urge to punch the lady but then Helga laughed loudly and shook her head looking over to him.

"I can assure you that I did not intentionally harm myself nor did I have the urge to commit suicide. Though it is true that my 'friend' Arnold did save my life. He found me passed out on the floor."

Arnold's face creased into a frown as the word friend left her lips and hung in the air.

"I see," the lady said leaning back in her chair obviously dissapointed not to have the big scoop that she wanted. But Helga just smiled polietly at her and shook a strand of golden hair from her eyes. "So how are you doing with your recovery? How are you keeping the stress at bay?"

Helga's smile widened and she stood suddenly from her chair "I am so glad you asked that." She said smoothing out the skirt of her light pink, lace, skater dress. "But instead of telling you, I would rather show you. If you don't mind."

the lady nodded and forced a smile on her face. Helga looked up directly at the center camera and said in a commanding tone "LIGHTS!"
