Chapter XV: Happiness, Wisconsin
Tobey
"Tobey, I thought I told to you to clean up," Mr. Wu barked as I looked up from Nana's book. "How do you expect customers to come here if they see a dirty restaurant?" he asked as he bellowed as I sighed and put down the book.
"Work, work, work!" I said imitating Mr. Wu as I started to mop the floor. I thought there had to be an easier way to do this. I looked up at where Nana kept her spells and smiled. "I wonder," I said walking over to them when I was shocked. "HEY!" I shouted as I realized Nana had put a spell on them.
"You really didn't think that Nana would leave her book of spells out where you can see it without some way to prevent you from using it," I heard Sue ask as she and Danielle came down the steps. "Besides, don't you remember the last time you used a spell to clean up?" she asked sternly.
"Uh, not really," I said lying as Sue sighed.
"Never mind, we have deliveries to make," she said as they walked out of the kitchen and I went back to reading Nana's book on the Pars Phasma or whatever she called it.
Annalise
"I love modern Technology," as I hacked into the Academy's security cams and downloaded some videos of Speed Stain and that little brat Danielle before opening up my video editing software. If father wants proof I'll give him proof.
While I was waiting for the video to finishing downloading, I thought I heard a noise outside the hall. "What now?" I moaned as I placed my ear to the door. I heard people talking it sounded like that losers Speed hangs out with.
"Do you see anything yet?" Connor's voice asked, he seemed worried, "I thought Headmaster would be here by now?" he said as my heart skipped a beat fearing they found out that I wrote the article and ratted me out.
"Those dweebs will pay!" I hissed under my breath as I heard a beeping noising. I looked towards my monitor seeing my videos were downloaded. "Perfect," I said as I went back to seat and began working on the 'proof' of Speed's cruelty.
Maddie
"Did take care of that little girl?" I asked my darling Vladdie as he came back in the room smiling. I can't stand those things and keep asking them to throw back in the streets or just dispose of them. However my Vlad is kind and won't think of it.
"Yes my dear, she won't open her mouth without thinking ever again," he said as he walked in and sat down beside me. "Why she stood up for the boy is beyond me my dear," he explained as I made a face at him. "What's wrong?" he asked concerned.
"You have a bit of blood on your face Vladimir," I told him as he look surprised and took out a handkerchief and wiped it off smiling.
"Thank you my dear," he said as his eyes darted around apprehensively like something wasn't right. He stood up and searched the room.
"What's wrong Vlad?" I asked him worriedly as he pulled out a small crystal that he kept around his neck. He placed his hand on it and transformed into ghostly/magickal self.
"I heard something outside," he said walking out of the room to find out what was going on.
Imhotep
"I will," Clockwork said as he walked forward while Akhenaton handed him a white robe. The master of time removed his cloak revealing a ring of graying hair on the back his scalp. "Tell me what to do," he instructs the Pharaoh.
"Walk into the pool," Akhenaton told him as he removed his Nemes revealing his elongated skull shaved bald before he too entered into the water. "Tempus Clockwork, brother of Chronos Clockwork why do you come to the Aten's sacred waters?" he asked the ghost.
"I come seeking purification so I might visit he who enlightens the universe with wisdom," he said as the king looked to him intently.
The father of Egyptian Monotheism stretched out his hands placing them on the ghost shoulders, "In the name of Aten, giver of light and warmth, Egypt's one and true god I plunge you into the icy waters of purity…," he said pushing the ghost beneath the water.
Clockwork stayed under for awhile before the king pulled him up, "in the name of great Aten who has shed his skin for our use, I consecrate you in his name," he said taking some gold dust and drawing a sun on Clockwork's forehead before the ghost left the pool and I stepped forward.
When we were both cleansed, we walked outside the temple and looked out to the Sacred City. Everything seemed the same at first then something wondrous occurred.
A large crystal pyramid appeared in the sky made of purest clear quartz. Covering the crystals was a layer of gold and silver dust causing it to sparkle as light shone into the monument. However the pyramid's most unique and strange feature was that it seemed to vibrate creating a pleasing sound resembling mystics chanting.
"What is it?" I asked amazed at the sight before us. I was baffled how it stayed in the air and how it was unable to cast a shadow.
"It's your destination, but the road you must travel is difficult and many a philosopher and occultist have stumbled reaching it," Akhenaton said placing his headdress back on as I turn to him.
"Are you coming with us?" I ask him as he frowns and shakes his head.
"Nay, the Divine has decreed that I am to eternally remain here to serve in the name of Aten," he said sadly bowing his head for a second before looking at us. "I do wish you blessing and luck on your jounry," he said before we left for our goal.
Tucker
hat happened to her?" I asked Headmaster as I rubbed the last bit of sleep dust from my eyes and watched Headmaster take care of Sam. He examined with the eye of a doctor and checking her vital signs.
"It appears she just fainted, she'll be fine," Spritle said as he turned to Speed, "now what were you doing in Alpha Corridor," he asked as Speed sighed knowing full well he would need to tell him about his plan.
"We had figured Annalise was behind that fake news story and wanted to stop her before she spread more lies," he said, "We wouldn't have done it unless we were 100% sure that she was behind it," he said as the headmaster thought about the story he was told.
"I thought I told that I would handle it," he scolded the younger racer who shrank back like a pet being yelled at, "I should have expelled for trespassing, but seeing as I know you get this investigative side from me I won't" he said as turning back to the unconscious Goth. "Take her back to her dorm and make sure she gets plenty of rest," he said as Speed and X picked her up and took her back to the dorm.
"Thank you headmaster," Connor said as we followed them back to the room, "I always knew you being related to Headmaster Spritle would come in handy," he said as Lucy just shook her head in disbelief.
Wednesday Addams
I crept up to what looked an unguarded window and tried to open it but it was locked too tight, "Blast it!" I cursed as I strained to open but gave up and started to rethink my plan. "There has to…," I began to say until I heard a noise.
I looked up and saw the three green vultures Uncle Fester saw earlier but there was something different about them. They seemed younger and fiercer. They feather were slicked back and the beaks were like a hawks.
"I don't know about you about I haven't felt this good since the Fall of Rome," the one in the front said happily as I ducked behind a tree to avoid detection.
"What happened to those guys?" I asked myself peeking out as I heard a noise and looked down to see I snapped a branch. "Oh no," I said as I saw them turn to face me.
"It's one of those weird people, get her, I'm sure Vlad has a big reward for her," one of them said as I started to run away from them before I was captured.
"Have…to…get…," I panted as I ran back to the window only to feel something wrap across my ankle and hoist me up in there. "HELP!" I shouted as I tried to break free but couldn't.
"There is no one to help you now," a voice said as I saw a pair of two red eyes stare at me coldly as I swallowed hard, for the first time in my life I am frightened.
