"So you have all arrived." A man sat alone in a throne where he was surrounded by different skulls that was the ornament for his seat.
The first to arrive were Raiga and Lapu, then Nanami and Veshiro. Everyone looked at each other and nodded, acknowledging each other's existence. Nanami and Lapu shared a longer, deeper look that Raiga and Veshiro noticed.
Then came Kagaro, Sumi, and James with Vang on his shoulder. Who all looked relief to see there friends.
Finally, the last to arrive was suppose to be Daeh, but it was Lioness, Cheetah, Tiger and the rest of the resistance.
"Where is Captain?" Asked Sumi.
"Him and my husband, Lion, are being held back by Ymir." Said Lioness with a saddened look.
"How?" Kagaro could not believe one of the new emperor are in Vadhala, knowing exactly where they were.
With Daeh and Lion
"Be safe my dear." Lion said to himself where Daeh could hear him clearly.
"She will be alright." Daeh smiled at Lion then turning his gaze at the two people in front of them.
Tizheruk returned despite fleeing earlier only to have some very powerful company. Ymir was with him arriving via a frozen chariot, standing between Daeh and his crew.
"You are Daeh, the Yonko killer. I am not impressed." Ymir was true to his reputation, he had a frozen beard and ice for a body. He carried a spikey mace that was also made of ice. Everything about him was ice, even his personality. He took two steps forward, every footsteps froze the very ground he stood on. Then he grabbed his maced, lifted it above his head, and slammed it to the ground, causing a series of ice spikes emerging from the point of impact toward Daeh and Lion.
Daeh stood in place creating enough repelling force to destroy any ice that got near him. Though Lion was gone, disappearing from everyone's sight.
'Go get em Lion' This was part of the plan, Daeh would distract the duo while Lion gets behind them and end this quickly.
"Got you.." Tizheruk apprehended Lion before he could slice Ymir's throat. Tizheruk has turned into his snake form, coiling around Lion's body.
"Damn it!" Lion struggled to escape the hold, to no avail. He was trapped.
"It's just you Yonko killer." Ymir, despite his muscular stature, was able to leap quickly. He held his mace with one hand and his other hand turned into an ice spear. He aimed his spear at Daeh which was destroyed with Daeh's gravity shield. Then Ymir followed with his mace what slammed at the edge of Daeh's shield.
"How is your mace not destroyed." He used more force, creating more repelling force yet the mace remained whole, and Ymir remaining where he was, trying to get through the shield to smash Daeh.
"This is all Yonko Killer?" Ymir surrounded his whole body in ice then creating a Jetstream of ice behind his hands to push his hands through Daeh's shield. "Learn from this day Yonko Killer!" Ymir's mace pushed through Daeh's shield, almost connecting at Daeh's face. Luckily Daeh jumped away in time.
The impact of the mace hitting the floor caused a crater to form where Daeh once stood.
"You must be thinking why I am here." Ymir lifted his mace, putting it on his shoulder. "Your people are in my Island. Frigid Wasteland Island to be exact." He remained in his place. "I am here to teach you a lesson."
Lion reverted to his human form, shrinking enough that he slid through the grasp of the snake, then he turned back to his lion form, grabbing the snake by his neck. "Got you now snake!"
The snake struggled at the grasped of the Lion, being the former right hand man of the previous Chief was no joke.
"Damn you..." Said Tizheruk as he tried to get away from the firm grasp of the man.
Meanwhile Ymir continued to bombard Daeh, keeping him on the defensive.
Daeh felt like Ymir wasn't trying to kill him, he was trying to hold him from getting to Chief, but why...
Bishiou Armada vs Chief Typhon
"You are all welcome to your funerals." Chief stood from his throne, unleashing a powerful wave of pure energy. The suddenly his legs turned into different animal legs, then his hands turned into different animal arms. Then he got bigger and bigger growing all sorts of body parts such as stinger, tail, to list a few. His skin was a dark blue color, and his eyes were pure white.
"I am Typhon, Chief of Vadhala." Then he struck all the people in the room at the same time, connecting with Tiger and Cheetah. Everyone else was able to dodge.
"Fast..." Said Vang and Raiga at the same time. Meanwhile Veshiro and Lapu were able to stand on their own from pure adrenaline, though that will not last long.
"Watch out!" Vang was zoning out when someone pushed him out of the way, a scorpion tail zoomed past his head, nearly killing him. He looked at his savior, it was James. "Be careful Vang!" He nodded, getting his head back in place.
"Alright Sumi, Nanami, try to hold as much of his limbs as possible!" Ordered Kagaro who was parrying a crab claw and praying mantis' claw.
The two girls did as they were instructed, Sumi gathered metal with her magnetism and held some of Typhon's limbs down. Then Nanami did the same by using her plants. Yet Typhon still had many weapons in his arsenal.
This was a living nightmare, the man who was the father of all animal was their enemy.
"This is why they fear him." Said Lioness as she swiped at an incoming stinger. "He had the power of all the Zohan Fruit user combined!" Lioness received a claw scratch on her shoulder as she was trying to parry an incoming stinger.
"Damn it!" Raiga turned into a lightning bolt and zapped through some of the body parts in order to stopped their movements, yet he was caught by a gorilla arm, knocking him to the ground. Then an elephant feet stomped him without stopping.
Vang caught the next elephant leg stomp and punched it with his earthquake infused punch. But his victory was short as hundreds if snake tails coiled together and knocked him to the farthest corner. Kagaro took Raiga and tossed him to James who then brought the lightning user to Nanami for healing.
"Hold the line, everyone group up!" Exclaimed Kagaro in which case everyone complied. Kagaro, James, Sumi, Lioness, Veshiro and Lapu stood in a formation in which they protected the people in the middle. Nanami was healing Raiga and Vang who were both knocked out cold.
Everyone was working well enough for a group that were exhausted from other encounters. Cheetah and Tiger soon joined, waking up from their slumber. "Just hold the line!"
After Kagaro's order, Lapu was hit by a ox horn followed by Veshiro who was kicked by a kangaroo leg. Kagaro quickly left his position which Sumi covered in order to deliver the two new injured to Nanami. She was already sweating from pure exhaustion, specially since the trio who were first to arrive at Vadhala had little to no rest.
Just as Kagaro was about to return to his position, James was knocked out by a crab claw, sending his body passed Kagaro.
"No..." Lioness was stopped repeatedly by cow legs, Cheetah and Tiger abandoned their position to save Lioness only to be caught in the same situation.
"No..no..." Sumi was the only one left, holding her own as she spewed all her power in protecting Nanami and the wounded. She knew she could not hold Typhon much longer, she looked back at Kagaro, with a loving look in her eyes as if it was going to be goodbye and smiled. She mouthed 'Thank you' and received a claw though her chest Kagaro was enraged only to lose hope once more as the bombardment of Typhon penetrated the metallic protection that Sumi no longer controlled.
"NO!" Kagaro witnessed as Typhone hit Nanami with several different animal limbs all over her body, knocking her out cold. Then he used a gorilla arm and tossed her in the sky, and knocked her back in the ground with a snake tail.
"You are the only one left Kagaro." Typhon hovered over Kagaro with all his animal limbs trembling for more blood. "Everyone you know will die by my hands."
"I will not let you!" Kagaro covered his body in Haki, retrieving a bone sword in both hands. He charged at Typhon who tried to kill him at every opportunity. He would connect with several of his limbs but Kagaro would get up and continued on his ultimate goal.
He ran up the snake tail of Tyhon while dodging and swiping at incoming attacks. He received a punch to his gut but he stabbed the arm and tossed it to the side continuing on. Kagaro would receive heavy damage yet he would continue on.
Image of Sumi receiving a deadly blow flashed in his mind, more so than the injury of his other friends. Her body falling lifelessly to the ground as the claw of Typhon retracted. That moment replayed in his mind as he was now blinded in rage. All pain, all anger, all the tragedy he was experiencing right now, he momentarily forgot. His mission now is to kill Typhon, even if it means his own death.
...In the Ship's Library weeks ago(Chapter6: Two Stowaways)
"I'm bored." Sumi said to Kagaro who was avidly watching the surrounding for incoming threats.
"That may be but we must maintain our duties." Replied Kagaro who continued to scan the surrounding.
"But we have our sensory Haki to sense if anyone is coming! Come on Kagaro, lets go to the Library." Before Kagaro could respond, Sumi dragged him to the Library, running in front of him as she pulled his arms.
The feeling of her hands were soft, comforting... right. Yet Kagaro did not dwell on his thoughts for too long as they soon arrived at the Library. Sumi sat herself in front of her mapping table, while Kagaro sat on the opposite side.
"Soooo.." Sumi began to draw on her map, continuing from where she left off. "..how are you Kagaro?"
"Um..okay I guess." replied the First Mate.
"Lame! You're lame!" She stopped her drawing and placed both hands on the table, leaning over so that they were face to face. "You have to have some kind of story to tell me."
Being this close to Sumi made Kagaro nervous yet he was comfortable, as if this was suppose to happen. The feeling was right, he had the inclination to kiss her right then and their but she might not like it.
"Umm..Well when I was a kid nobody like me?" He wasn't sure what to say so he said something about his childhood yet it came out as a question.
"I knew that Kagaro, tell me something else I don't know." She had a look in her the pleaded him to open up, he was mesmerize by her that his heart spoke before his head.
"I have loved you since the first time I saw you..." He has done it know. She's going to hate him and it's going to be awkward seeing each other in the ship.
Sumi was shocked by what he said and sat back down on her seat, feverishly returning to her drawing. Despite the darkness of the room and a lone candlelight in front of Sumi, Kagaro could tell she was flustered.
"Oh..interesting." She laughed awkwardly.
'Shit what do I do now.' Kagaro debated, yet he knew what he had to do. 'Here goes nothing.' Kagaro stood up and leaned toward Sumi, grabbing her face and planting a soft kiss on her lips. The kiss lasted only for a moment and he moved an inch away from her, looking at her eyes. 'Did I do the right thing?' He thought.
"Why..." She had many emotions in her head yet she knew what she wanted. "...Did you stop?" Then she grabbed Kagaro's face and continued where they left off. This time the kiss lasted longer. They both stopped and returned to their seat. Both were flustered yet Kagaro was more confident that he was before. So he told her once more.
"That day I saw you back in our Island...I have loved you since then." Then it was silence, comfortable as Sumi was just lost for words.
"Thank you for caring for me so much...I feel something for you Kagaro, but I don't want to say it till I'm certain."
"Don't worry, I can wait." Kagaro reached out and held her hands. She rested her head in his hands and sighed comfortably.
"I love you too Kagaro." She said. Then she kissed him in the cheeks again.
For the rest of the night, they got to know more about each other than anyone else on the ship. Not even Isla or Nanami know the things that Kagaro knows about Sumi.
Then it was morning and Lapu caught them playing hooky on their duties.
They have been very busy since that time at the Library so they haven't had much moment together. Everyone noticed the development between the two and everyone approved. While Kagaro and Daeh were having a meeting in his office, Daeh teased Kagaro endlessly, even crying mockingly that Kagaro finally revealed his true feelings.
Yes it was true...he loved her, he loved Sumi Deico.
Back to Present Time
Kagaro continued to run up, using every last bit of his strength to push through Typhon's final defense. "AHHHHHHHH!"
"Impossible!" Typhon shielded his body with his real arms, anticipating Kagaro's strike for his heart.
Kagaro used his sword and aimed for the heart of Typhon, only to miss by a couple of inches.
"Got you!" Typhon used all of his sharp limbs to stab Kagaro all over his body.
Kagaro coughed up blood from receiving so many wounds at one time. 'I will join you soon my love...Sumi..' With his outstretched arm that held the sword which missed the heart of Typhon. He created several bone blades and shot them at the correct location, stabbing the heart of Typhon several times. "...no...I got you.."
"No..." He coughed up a lot of blood as he felt the life escape him. "...I am the Chief of Vadha..." Typhon reverted to his human form, though being big earlier with several limbs had Typhon up in the air, falling from the sky.
Kagaro had a lot of open wounds and now he was falling from the sky. Just before he passed out, he felt lightning passed through his body, then a familiar voice catching him before he could fall to the ground.
"I got you bud." Said Vang.
Lion vs Tizheruk
"It's done you Snake! Get off my land!" Lion could feel energy gather around him as the former Chief was defeated. He could feel it since he was given a new life, chosen by the Gods of Vadhala.
"Damn it! Even if you are the new Chief, King Ymir can still take you both on." The Snake attempted to bite the new Chief only to be caught by the neck once more.
"I, Lion, the new Chief of Vadhala will not be bullied by the likes of you." Then he tossed Tizheruk to the direction of Ymir who caught his officer with one arm. The distraction was enough time for Daeh to create a push force to send Ymir back several yards.
"Leave Ymir! Leave my lands, handle your quarrel elsewhere." Said Lion.
Despite his battle mentality, Ymir knew not to deal with a Yonko and the Chief of Vadhala. "I will comply, but I will find you again Daeh." Ymir created an Ice Chariot and he road away, leaving a trail of ice in his wake.
"It is over." Proclaimed the Lion.
"Yeah..." Daeh sighed in relief, knowing full well that his crew could get the job done. Yet he was very worried for their injuries.
"Let's go Daeh, I am worried for my wife and my friends." Lion ran ahead, he was very fast.
Back in the Throne of the Chief
Nanami was now awake, tending to the wounds of Kagaro and Sumi, who were both in life support. Luckily, Raiga closed their wound before more blood could be lost and Vang carried them so that Nanami could perform her treatment.
Lioness is currently tending to Veshiro, and Lapu who are both exhausted from nonstop movement. Cheetah and Tiger aided the newly crowned Chieftess of Vadhala. They awoke after the painstaking scream of the defeated Typhon.
James assisted Nanami with everything she needed, even allowing her to use him as a blade to perform surgery.
Vang and Raiga would gather all the supplies Lioness and Nanami requested, worried for their friends.
"Everyone!" Daeh burst through the door, glad to see everyone was alright. Yet his gaze fell to his first mate and navigator, who were the worst of the bunch. "Are they going to be okay?" Daeh rushed to them, asking Nanami.
"I will try my best Captain." Nanami said, unsure herself if she could save them.
"Kagaro, Sumi, you're both going to be alright right?" To the surprise of Nanami and James, Kagaro held a thumbs up while Sumi moved her hands to hold Kagaro's.
"That's my crew!" Daeh said with a smile. "Yup, they'll be okay." Nanami smiled along with James and everyone in the room.
"Darling, you are okay?" Asked Lionnes while she continued to treat Veshiro and Lapu.
"Yes, I was unwounded. My opponent was a mere division Captain. A pawn of Ymir. And you my dear?"
"I'm a bit tired but otherwise I'm okay. We owe our lives to that Kagaro. He killed Typhon." She stood up, giving instructions to Tiger and Cheetah to continue the treatment.
"We won my dear."
"Yes we have, my Chief."
"It has a ring to it huh? Chief Lion?"
"Yes dear." Lioness giggled and kissed her husband. Then Lion turned to the people who helped them.
"We are in your dept. How can we ever repay you?"
"Nonsense, you did as much to stop your civil war as much as we did." Said Daeh. "It all balances out."
"Well if you put it that way, atleast let us celebrate our victory before you head off?"
"Sure! We can't go anywhere since we have to wait for the recovery of Kagaro and Sumi. But we can't stay for long since people are waiting for us somewhere."
In the darkness of the celebration
"Excellent, lets go Julio, Master Stein is waiting for this one." A man said as he pointed at the dead body of Typhon, the former Chief.
"Yes Netero, I'm on it." Julio grabbed the dead body of a man in the Chief's layer and carried it. Netero grabbed the shoulder of Julio teleporting out of the place.
"Interesting." Little did the duo know, someone was watching them. "I have to report this to my brother..." A set of wings emerged from the women's back and she flew away from the scene. 'Good victory Daeh, my brother Stig will be in contact shortly.' She said in her mind. It was Mimiry Gyr, First Mate of the Grand Force Pirate, sister of Stig Gyr the Yonko, taking an interest on Daeh Uac the Yonko.
Frigid Wasteland Island
Rade vs Qiqirn
"Alright you damn dog, you made my crewmate angry. I'm going to enjoy destroying you!" Rade punched his palms, getting into position to battle the Dog.
"Big words Bishiou, can you back it?" Qiqirn was in his hybrid form, half dog, half human.
"Damn right I can!" Before Qiqirn could reply, Rade was already in front of him. "Start!" The magma user emitted a magma fist from the get go and punched Qiqirn with it. The dog did not have enough time to block so he received majority of the damage. When he finally recovered, Rade continued on his assualt by punching Qiqirn with his magma infused fist.
"This is for Bright!" Rade kept going, not letting up on the Frost Pirate. He created a jetstream of magma and buried Qiqirn in it. To his shock, as the magma began to disperse, Qiqirn remained unharmed.
"I'm Qiqirn, the coldest bald dog you'll ever know!" Qiqirn was now in his full animal form, his bald head shining in the sunlight. The dog charged at Rade, swiping him twice with his right claw. Rade created a magma wall yet he was knocked back on the second strike.
"Strong..." Rade crashed onto the barrier that blocks others from getting in, and the fighters from getting out.
"You've been in the New World long enough Rade, you should know that this is the land of the most powerful." Qiqirnwas now the one who would continue to attack Rade and chase him as soon as he would get up.
Rade had to think of something quick, he was getting embarrassed, specially for a first division captain. It was time to stop holding back, he was only doing so for the potential to fight either Puro or Lania in the next round. "From the start..." Rade caught the paw of Qiqirn with a magma hand. "...you were no match for me." Rade ignited his palms that burned the paw of the bald dog.
"Ouch! Hot!" Before Qiqirn could place his burning paws to the ground, Rade tightened his grip and created another magma hand to hold the neck of the giant bald dog.
"Burn!" Rade ignited his palms once more, burning the neck of the giant dog.
Qiqirn was burned alive, yet he was unharmed after the victory of Rade was decided.
"Excellent win Rade, First Division Captain of the Bishiou Armada." A voice echoed throughout the whole island, it was game master. "Welcome to the finals."
Puro vs Lania
The environment which the two were fighting was the frozen forest of Frigid Wasteland Island. Luck for Puro, he had alot of covers, unlucky for him, his enemy could get behind him in a second. He had a trick up his sleeve, he just had to time it perfectly.
"Ohohoho Puro of the Bishiou Pirates. You are quiet agile." Lania beamed all over the place, always missing Puro by inches.
"Sorry Admiral, this is my playground." Puro shot three arrows at the Admiral only to have them obliterated in seconds. Then Puro ran quickly around the Admiral, shooting several arrows at once, surrounding the admiral in arrows.
Lania's counter was simple, he turned into a light ray and beamed himself upward. "Here's one for you Puro of the Bishiou Pirates, light umbrella!" Light particles emitted from the admiral, shooting deadly laser in a circle. Puro yet again dodged in the nick of time by jumping back to a farther tree. Though his luck might be nearing his end.
"Surprise Puro of the Bishiou Pirates." Lania got behind Puro, drawing his light sword, just as he was about to stab Puro, the archer pulled out his secret weapon.
"Nope, my surprise first." Puro sliced the light sword of the Marine Admiral and stabbed him with a sea stone tipped arrow. "Eat this!" Victory was in his reach, yet he did not expect the Marine Admiral to have enough strength to draw back his arm and knock the hell out of Puro. The punch was so hard that Puro was knocked out with one strike.
"Ohoho, good one Puro of the Bishiou Pirates." He pulled out the seastone arrow tip with his own hands. "I'm not an admiral for nothing."
"Congratulations Lania, Marine Admiral." It was still Game Master proclaiming the victor. "Welcome to the Finals."
"Your sick game is going to end Game Master." Lania was uncharacteristically serious. "You will die by the end of this games, by my doing."
"HAHAHAHAHA" The Game Master only laughed. "We'll see..."
Akhlut vs Inil
"Do it, seeing as we are allies and I have no more joy in this battle." Inil had one of her sword placed in her heart, with Akhlut holding the other end of the sword.
The duo have agreed that with their alliance, there was no point of their battle. Ymir the Yonko, the King of Akhlut, and Inil the Schibukai were allies. Akhlut pushed the blade through the heart of Inil, the schibukai did not even let out a gasp.
She remained unharmed after the quick match and went on her way. Akhlut was the victor with some technicalities.
"Congratulations, Akhlut, Frost Pirates Guardian of the King. Despite your methods of victory, you did not break any rules, no one surrendered and you did kill your enemy." Game Master had a tinge of anger in her voice. "Welcome to the Finals."
Kaldur vs Eye
"I quit." Eye said simply, the barrier on their battlefield lifted and Eye was on his way back to his ship when Kaldur grabbed him by the shoulder and turned him around.
"Have you no honor?" A random lightning shot at the town, killing someone from the surrender of Eye.
"Shut up punk, I don't want to fight in this stupid games." Eye removed the hands of Kaldur with force, then Kaldur retaliated by wiping out his weapon and slapping Eye's head with his water whip.
"You stupid little..." Each time the duo clashed, a random lightning would form in the main town, killing someone in the process. When all was said and done. They must have killed 23 innocent villagers.
"You bore me fishman." Eye yet again turned around and walked away, Kaldur was in one knee panting. His days on land was enough to drain him of his power. He need to get back to the ocean but the barrier around the island prevents him from going anywhere. Eye continued to walk and Kaldur could not do anything about it.
"Congratulations, Kaldur, Third Sector of the Mermaid Pirates. You killed 23 people in your outside match arena battle, but that's on you." That hardly bothered Kaldur, human died, not his concern. "Welcome to the Finals."
