Okay people…This is it now. Destiny of Life has officially reached its end point now. And sadly that means the Trilogy will be coming to an end in this chapter too. It has been a long journey which has spanned far into a few years. Let's get straight to it.
Chapter 25: A Fresh Start
One week has passed ever since the ceremony held by the Blue birds to say goodbye to Carly and Dez. And also over one week now since the death of Rawk and Jollo who were sworn to destroy and kill the last hopes of the Spix Macaw race just out of some insane path and Destiny which they believe would save the Jungle from being corrupted.
But the physical wounds have healed now from what had happened the day. However some of the mental wounds were not as easy to heal from the day. One's like Lyra still had to come to terms that Carly was truly killed and it was by their own father it was too. But they knew life must go on and they had to look to the future now.
That sentiment is what we're pushing Blu and Jewel to have a fresh new beginning with their four children to have great lives. Not looking back on the past and never letting it get in the way of what they had in store now for life. However they knew they weren't completely free from danger, the Jungle despite how peaceful and tranquil it was, there was still danger such as Eagle's and other potential predators in addition to other birds who may want to compete.
Blu was standing at the entrance to the hollow looking to the views while the kids were playing together and in their tag games they could fly now as Selene had picked up the ability of flight after her wings' nerve system had finally been able to develop enough for her to gain control of her wing at long last.
Blu however was distracted by looking to the view of the sun which provided him with some comfort. Jewel who had been preening her feathers came out and stood next to Blu saying "You know Blu…I have been thinking". Blu immediately shifted his attention towards he "What is it Jewel?" She leaned against him saying " Do you think it is time we moved to a new Tree".
Blu was surprised this question had surfaced to him before he found a reply for her "What, how come you want to move home?" Jewel looked down to this and said "Maybe it is time we had a fresh start somewhere else. You know have a change of scenery and give the kids somewhere new to explore". Blu was confused and asked "Do birds usually move nests, Jewel".
Jewel made a smile towards this and gave him a nuzzle "I see even though you have lived in the jungle for a long time now. You are still learning things". Blu tilted his head a little before nodding "Of course, you can't expect me to become Mr Jungle in just a year…Do you". Jewel amusingly shook her head towards him "No I don't, no one becomes perfect at jungle life easily. No I just think, a fresh start in a new home where we can put the past to rest and somewhere new would be good for us".
Blu looked down a little as he thought about this for a moment before he looked to her "It doesn't sound like a bad idea to be honest Jewel. Maybe it might be good for us all". Jewel smiled "I though you would agree so I told mom and Dad to come today so they can give us what they think towards it".
Blu's smile immediately faded towards this and he let out a sigh "Can you at least inform me about things you do". Jewel immediate narrowed her eyes a little "Now don't tell me you don't do things without telling me". Blu quickly nodded towards this assertion "No I don't". Jewel smiled but kept her eyes narrowed at him for a few moments.
Blu sighed a little and relented to his mate's look of slight frustration "Okay, maybe a little". Jewel shook her head a little before looking away "Ahhh, maybe I still need to sort you out a little then". Blu narrowed his eyes a little himself before saying "Hey, you're just as bad so you have no ground to stand on here".
Jewel tilted her head and made a little giggle towards him "I see you noticed after all. Anyway, when I told him, Dad had a proposal in mind which could benefit all of us apparently and so far everyone else has come into agreement with it and we are the last that need to hear it".
Blu was now very curious towards this proposal "Hmm…If everyone else has agreed towards it so far then it must be a pretty good idea he has in mind". Jewel agreed and looked down to the kids who were all playing happily playing together. She leaned against him smiling towards this saying "The kids, looking so happy. I am just glad we were able to make sure they get to continue their lives on their way to growing up".
Blu wrapped a wing around her agreeing "Yeah, it is a great thing. I always say it but I never expected to ever become a father and now it is one of the greatest experiences. The other getting to spend my life with you". Jewel smiling deeply planted a kiss on the side of his face saying "I am the exact same my love hawk".
Blu returned the feeling by giving her a nuzzle before saying "It is the best Job and purpose of life I could ever ask for. Being a father and a mate". Jewel smiling deeply towards him again spoke "You are such a smooth talker Blu, do you know that". Blu looked to her and innocently spoke "If saying the truth is smooth talking then I am guilty I am afraid".
Jewel couldn't help it from that comment and ended up making a giggle towards him "Ah, Blu, what will I do with you. You're too much". Blu then narrowed one eye and said "Love me". Jewel gave him a seductive look before seductively whispering to him and wrapping her wings around him "I think I can do that Blu". She suddenly pulled him into a passionate kiss as their beaks connected.
They both enjoyed to usual feeling, no matter how often it happened, it never got old for them. When they separated they held each other for a moment until they heard a voice "Blu, Jewel". They saw both Jonas and Azura approach and land on the branch close by. "Hey mom, dad". Everyone said hello's to each other before Blu started "So Jewel tells me you have a sort of idea of proposal".
Jonas nodded to confirm the answer to Blu's statement "Yes, after everything that has happened it got me thinking. And everyone agrees to it so far". Jewel then kindly said to him "Alright then so let's hear it". Jonas cleared his throat before he begun with his idea "Well, I believe this could fit the statement a fresh start…anyway it's…"
A couple of days later…
A lot of changes have been carried out over the last few days. Ever since everyone came into an agreement over how they were going to proceed with the future now. Blu and Jewel with standing with the kids on the ground outside the hollow that had been home to them when they all first started their new life.
Blu could remember the day when he and Jewel were first released into the wild when Jewel was carrying Azul, Selvey and Roxo. They were searching for a home and they eventually came upon here. Jewel had shown him how to make the nest and set up a home. The nest now however was taken apart as the place as no longer in use now.
Blu then looked to the kids saying "Alright kids, say goodbye to our old home now". The kids all waved to the hollow entrance and said together "Goodbye home". Blu then looked to Jewel "I am still amazed we are doing this idea of Jonas's". Jewel looked to him "I know, I can see the benefits of it and we never have to travel far just to see them. When he found it I was amazed".
Blu looked down "Yeah, forming a Clan…The Blue macaw Clan". Jewel nodded "However we aren't going to live as a clan, just together among the tree's as we claim a territory around us". Blu sighed "Which a clan does. At least it is just our area and not intruding on anyone else's".
Jewel then turned around "Anyway, we better get there now. I am sure everyone else will be and we want to make sure we take one of the best trees". Blu quickly nodded "Yeah we better had, we don't want to miss out on this". Jewel then spread her wings and took off "Let's go then everyone". One by one the kids took off following their mothers lead.
Blu looked at the home one more time and said "Goodbye…You have been a great first home and you have had some wonderful memories. You will be missed". Blu then turned and quickly took off to catch up with everyone who were only a couple of seconds ahead of him. They took a flight which sent them a little further away from the City of Rio.
Eventually after minutes of flying they arrived at the area they were shown yesterday. There as a ton of rocks which sort of went around a small area of trees, plenty of bush and grass. There was even a stream that ran through it on one half of the part. To Blu it seemed like a paradise and best of all it is unused by another which is extremely rare these days.
They all flew towards it and as they approached they caught sight of a few blue birds standing on the grassy leafy parts. They saw it was Asra, Pearl and Azura.
They all smiled and Jewel called out to them "Hey everyone". They all looked and waved as Jewel landed down first followed by the kids and Blu in the end. Azura happily spoke to them "I see you have arrived at last". Jewel nodded to her mother "Yeah we were just letting the kids say goodbye to home before coming here". Asra smiled happily "This place is amazing, everything you need for a paradise home, and food is available too, and how it was unused before us we do not know". Blu looked around to see a couple of birds were not here and got curious "Where are the others".
Azura was happy to answer the question "They are currently making homes in the tree's here, and don't worry we save one for you which I believe is perfect for you as you have these little ones to think about as well". Blu and Jewel smiled happily as Roxo asked "Does it have space where we can all sleep separately". Selvey got excited "Does it have openings to look out of".
Azul was the next to speak "Can we play games in there". Azura was amused and said "Why don't you all come and see it. I am sure you will all love it". Azul, Selvey and Roxo excitedly went to join while Selene stayed. Blu leaned down to her "Go on Selene, go and see our new home". The chick was wondering but saw Azura go and went for it.
Blu and Jewel chuckled and watched as they kids immediately got to exploring. Pearl quickly spoke up "So how do you feel about moving to a new place". Blu decided he wasn't going to lie and he said "Well, I was hesitant at first but seeing this place. I have to admit, I am greatly impressed. This place has everything. You could make a colony with this territory".
Asra agreed completely "Yeah, us Blue macaws got to stick together now. This is our new home and we will bring our species back up starting from here as a united race". Asra and Pearl proceeded to walk off while Blu looked away and around the place. He was genuinely impressed while Jewel grabbed him and held him "You are so excited Blu, make sure you let the kids be more excited".
Blu ended up making a grin towards her "Yeah, I can't argue with this place. I might be the perfect place for raising our children". Jewel smiling gave Blu a kiss on his cheek and said "Yes it will be Blu". They held each other as they looked to the views of their new establishment.
Blu who was looking to the views had a thought to himself "Ever since I came to the jungle and after everything I have experienced. I have been finding myself wondering. Is this truly the place I want or deserve to be? After everything, With Nigel, Cyro, Rawk and Jollo. I was always wondering, Can true peace and happiness be achieved in the jungle".
Jewel then looked to him and gave him another kiss on the cheek "Come one my love hawk, let's go see our new home now". Jewel turned away and Blu turned around and watched her walk off and prepare to take off towards a tree. He smiled deeply and came to one answer "Yes it is possible, I now see what I had been missing out on until I came to Rio".
Jewel looked back to him "Come on then my Blu bird". Blu who smiled towards his nickname "Coming my Precious Jewel". They both walked off together into their new home. This place, this part of the jungle, was now the true now home of the remaining Spix blue macaws. And they were ready to live in it. Here was where their lives would truly begin and it will happen for the rest of their lives now. As one thing is for sure, a bright future is ahead for all of them especially Blu and Jewel who were the pride of the family with their connection and nothing would ever change that.
And that is it now. It has truly come to an end now. I am a little sad but happy. I knew one day this trilogy would have to come to an end. And I am glad I got to see every bit of it to the end.
Thank each and every one of you for you endless support toward my trilogy. I love you all for supporting and inspiring me to push myself to do this trilogy. This has been one of my best trilogies in my fanfiction career and it will be for good.
For me now however I am going to take a break from Rio fanfiction so I can visit my other fanfiction and explore my ideas for them. However this doesn't mean I will be quitting Rio fanfiction. I will most likely return and continue but for now. I am out of ideas and I want to recharge my love for Rio fanfiction.
