"Now, you're going to be getting a map of the building. You're going to use it to navigate the building, and figure out where everything is. You'll find sleeping areas, mess hall, classrooms, armory, and so on. You'll want to learn where everything is by the end of the day, because that's when you're losing the maps. Starting tomorrow, tardiness will be punished with violence."
As he spoke, he started tossing maps on to tables from his position at the head of the room. He aimed for the back row first, and we were all able to catch our maps.
