Hiya everyone! OUaT maybe over for the season... but you still have meeee!
Warning: this chapter is a tearjerker... and it is kind of short. I didn't want to drag out the pain...
The two women raced through the trees as fast as they could, until Avery collided with someone and it took them both Avery and whoever she hit off their feet. She looked down. "Neal! The hell?!"
"Ugh… hey Av." He said.
"'Hey'? No, you don't just get to say 'hey' to me. You should be back at the hospital."
"Avery. Are you okay?" Emma said, when she caught up. "Neal, what are you doing here?"
"Like I was going to let you two find Dad without me." Neal said, helping Avery up.
"And Hook?"
"Made him a deal." He shrugged at his sister.
"Asshole." Avery muttered, then the thought that she fell while pregnant washed over her, and tried to hide her panic. While Neal was engrossed in conversation with Emma, she checked the little life within her. The babe was fine and healthy. She smiled to herself.
"Right Avery?" Emma said.
"What?" Avery said.
"I was telling Neal how your dad was kind of…"
"Crazy… got it. Yeah I don't know what the hell that witch did to him." Avery said. Then her phone rang. "Hey Belle, what's up?"
"Emma asked me to look at a symbol on Neal's hand. I found it, and I think you should know first." Belle said.
"Okay…" Avery said worried.
"It's from the vault of the dark one. It's supposed to bring the dark one back to life."
"What's the price?" Avery asked, knowing there was one, there always was a price.
"See… that's the thing… If Neal really did bring back the Dark One… he should be dead." Belle said.
"How the hell then…" but she was cut off by Emma screaming Neal's name. Avery dropped her phone and ran over to them. "Neal…"
"There… there is something wrong with him." Emma said.
"What did you do?" Avery said, but Neal's face kept changing. He seemed like he was morphing. All of a sudden it was her father laying there. "Dad?"
"Avery? Emma?" he asked, then he screamed in pain and Neal was there again.
"Avery, what's happening?" Emma asked.
"Neal… you brought Dad back…" Avery said, trying to be strong. "You.. you were supposed to die."
"Then how am I here?" Neal asked.
"Dad… Dad must have done something. He's inside you… or you're inside him." Avery said.
"How is what even possible?" Emma said.
"I don't know…" Avery responded.
"Split us." Neal struggled out.
"What?" both women shrieked with tears in their eyes.
"I don't know how…" Emma said.
"I… no… I can't." Avery said.
"Avy…" Neal begged.
"Please… please don't make me." Avery cried.
"Only Dad can tell you who the witch is…" Neal said. "He can save all of you. I can't."
"You're my brother…"
"I know… Emma…" Neal said, Emma was sobbing. "Tell Henry… tell him in the end, I was a hero."
"I love you." Emma cried. "Please, don't."
"Avery, do it now…"
"Neal…"
"Averianna." He cried and Avery grunted as she ripped the two men apart. Her father was on his knees beside the sobbing women.
"Bae… Bae?! No… no…"
"Fix it, Daddy…" Avery said, watching Neal struggle to breathe in her arms.
"Avery…"
"Papa! Please!" Avery sobbed, tears flowed from Gold's face as he stood up, Emma was sobbing outright on the ground. Neal was still alive, but barely. Avery leaned down and whispered. "Neal… I'm pregnant… you're an uncle." Neal smiled and chuckled.
"You found Tallahassee. Promise me something."
"Anything." Avery sobbed,
"Help Emma find Tallahassee… please."
"What's Tallahassee?" Avery asked, that made Emma crawl over and hold his hand.
"Promise me." Neal ordered.
"I promise."
"Good… I love all of you." Neal's eyes started to shut.
"No… no… Neal! Come back!" Emma screamed, Avery just sobbed and whispered.
"You were worth it Bae… my big brother." She ran his hand through his hair, Gold held his son's lifeless hand.
"Zelena." He said.
"What?" Emma choked.
"Zelena is the witch. Go… now. She's coming." He ordered, Avery went to take Neal's body.
"No… not now… please." Gold sobbed to his daughter, she nodded and took Emma and poofed back to Charming, who immediately saw the two strongest women in a sobbing mess.
"What happened?"
"Neal's dead." Emma said, then it clicked for Avery.
"And Zelena had something to do with it." She growled.
"Zelena?"
"She's the witch." Avery said, Charming's face went white.
"She's with Snow right now." He said. Avery magicked them outside the door of the apartment and burst in, both Charming and Emma had their guns out. Snow jumped.
"What is going on…" but Avery ignored her and the conversation her and Charming were having. All she heard was bathroom and flicked her wrist, causing both doors to open and she walked in, seeing it empty.
"Damnit!" she screamed, releasing a burst of magic. She leaned against the doorway and began to cry again. Little did she know, Charming had called Archie, and minutes later she felt his arms around her. Regina was there as well.
"Your midwife was the witch." Regina asked.
"She was supposed to be my friend too." Avery said finally. She pulled away from Archie's chest. "She had my father in a cage and she killed my brother… let it be known now that I am going to feed her, her own heart." She growled in anger.
"Avery…" Charming started but Archie held up his hand to stop him.
"We will get Dad back." Was all he said, Avery looked up at him.
"You called him Dad…"
"Yes. He was more of one to me than mine was." Archie shrugged, Avery scoffed.
"That isn't hard, so is Charming, and he is younger than you are."
"And I'd get him from the witch too… but one at a time." Archie wrapped her in a hug and she cried. She cried until she couldn't stop. She felt Emma hug the back of her, Snow's big pregnant belly on her side, Charming behind his wife, and Regina shocked them all by putting her hand on Avery's shoulder and murmuring to her.
"For once Avery… you don't have to be the strong one."
It's okay guys! Neal knew about his niece or nephew and was happy! And yes it's sad, but Zelena just opened up a huge can of hurt for herself! HUGE! And just a sneak peaky for next chapter... Archie even gets kind of dark! Its AWESOME!
