Chapter 25: Picnic

Ryoma opened the curtains of their bedroom and couldn't help but winced at the intensity of the sun's rays so early in the morning. Sakuno let out a groan and pulled the covers over her head. Ryoma chuckled and laid on top of his wife causing her to let out a surprised squeal. "Ryoma! You're heavy!" Sakuno grunted trying to push her husband off of her stomach.

Ryoma didn't budge, "It's so bright outside."
"Mou!"

"Let's have a picnic." Ryoma stated.

Sakuno giggled. "And I'm guessing you want me to get the food?"
Ryoma looked up with puppy eyes. "Your cooking is the best."

Sakuno playfully smacked him, "If you get off I'll do it."
Ryoma smiled and gave his wife a soft kiss. "Thank you."
Sakuno couldn't help but smile back. "No problem."
A Few Hours Later

Aoi squealed when the car stopped. "Onii-Chan are we here?" Aoi asked excitedly.

Ryosuke unbuckled his seat belt and smiled, "Uh huh."
Ryoma opened Aoi's door and helped her out. Sakuno climbed out of the car and Ryosuke helped with the picnic blanket trying to find the perfect place with shade. Aoi squealed and raced after her brother. Ryoma grabbed the basket from Sakuno and wrapped his other arm around her waist and followed behind their children. "Aoi wants to fly her kite!" Aoi said as she jumped up and down.

Ryoma picked up his daughter. "If that's what you want hime, then that is what we're going to do."
"YAY!" Aoi squealed.

Ryosuke grabbed the kite and handed it to their father. "Ready?" Ryoma asked.

"Hai!" The two children chorus in.

Ryoma starts running with the kite and the kids watch as it lifts off going higher and higher in the sky. "WAAA!" They chime together.

Sakuno giggle as she watches them play. Sakuno started to take out their lunch. "It's time to eat!" She called.

The three of them raced to the picnic blanket with their hands covered in dirt and grass. Sakuno handed them all wipes. They all wiped their hands and faces and dined on the yummy food that Sakuno made. "Arigato!" They all said together.

Aoi and Ryosuke hugged their parents. "Arigato! We love you." They said.

Sakuno gasped and started to cry. "Ah! Okaa-San is crying!" Aoi screamed and started to panic.

Sakuno wiped her tears. "No, Okaa-San is just so happy that she couldn't help but cry."
Ryoma hugged his wife. "Okaa-San and Oto-San are very happy that you love us and we love you guys too."
Ryosuke and Aoi smiled and joined in with the hug.
