Mistpeak Valley Wolves
"Oh my god!" Rene shivered as they reached the small town of Mistpeak.
"This must be the Dweller's home" Connor said looking around.
"How can these people stand living up here in the freezing cold with forest all around them?" Rene asked.
"I think it's a Dweller thing but it's not that bad" Connor said looking around all the small cabins and stores.
"What is the mission here?" Silver asked.
"According to Gabriel the leader of the Dwellers would make a good ally if we help him" Connor said.
"Sounds promising" Rene said as they headed up a hill to the largest house in the area.
Upon reaching it Connor knocked on the door as a very large and tall man answered the door as Connor, Silver and Rene had to bend their heads back just to look up at him.
"Uh hi? We wish to speak to the Mayor" Connor said.
"Hn" the man grunted gesturing them in.
"Now that's a big man" Silver said as they headed in.
Upon first look they saw the house was nicely decorated with beautiful handmade furniture and then Connor approached a picture of King Adam with his arm wrapped around Ana with Sabine, Page, Ben, Kalin, Jasper, Logan and Ginjer all in front of Walter Statue looking happy.
"Who is it Avalanche?" a man asked as Connor and Rene looked over to see a well-dressed man with black hair combed back and glasses walk in while holding some papers.
"Uh" Avalanche grunted as the man smiled.
"Never mind, welcome to my home I am Mayor Aeson, I know who you. I saw you on TV I love the show by the way, made Lucifer look like a fool."
"Then you must know why we're here then?" Rene said.
"Yes. You wish to get Mistpeak involved in this war you're brining. I must say I am not completely comfortable with the idea" Aeson said.
"What can we do to convince you then?" Connor asked.
"As you already know Lucifer is killing the forests and wildlife and because of this the wolves have been coming around to close to the village, our live stock are the main targets and in some cases some people, we believe there is something off about these wolves" Aeson said.
"Off how?" Silver asked.
"We they don't talk like you but they don't howl, they're organized more than normal wolves."
"That dose sound off."
"And here another thing they watch the village at night, you can see their eyes every night, waiting for something."
"So you want us to get them to back off from hunting the livestock?" Silver asked.
"I was asking to kill some and scare them off but you can try that too" Aeson said.
"We'll see what we can do" Connor said as he Rene and Silver left the house and headed down the hill and past the village.
"Strange wolves that don't howl? How strange" Rene said.
"Indeed, I smell wolf scent all over the woods but a majority of it's coming from the mountains" Silver said.
"I heard of some caves in the Mistpeak Valley that seems promising" Rene said.
"Let's see what were up against than" Connor said as they left the gate to the Dweller Town and into Mistpeak Valley.
"God I hate this cold!" Ren growled as they headed into the valley and across a bridge.
"It's not bothering me" Silver smirked.
"I will make a fur coat out of you mutt if your keep rubbing it in" Rene said.
"Okay enough you two" Connor said as Silver growled.
"They're here" Silver growled as Connor and Rene looked around to see the wolves watching from high rocks and from the woods but not approaching them.
"They're they watching" Rene said.
"I know it's a bit uneasy" Connor said.
"Silver try talking to them" Rene said.
"Fine" Silver said as he growled a few times and waited a few seconds, "well that is rude! They won't even try to talk to me!"
"Look over there" Connor said pointing to the cave, "let's find out what they got in their den."
"Right behind you" Rene said as they entered Chillbreathe Caverns.
"Whoa" Connor said looking around then spotted touches on the walls.
"Someone lit those touches" Rene said.
"I smell...a human up ahead" Silver said.
Upon doing deeper in the cave the three stopped when they saw a throne of bones and fur with a man sitting on it with a white wolf head covering the top half of his head.
"Welcome" the man said as the wolves all began to surrounded them.
"Who the hell are you?" Connor asked as he noticed the man had a wolf amulet around his neck.
"I am the King of the Wolves and you're in my domain."
"Why are you having the wolves spy on the village?" Connor asked.
"Waiting for their command of course, I was waiting for when you'd come here hero" he said holding up Connor wanted poster.
"You were expecting us?" Connor said.
"I want to make a deal, my wolves do everything I command we could be a good ally to you in this war."
"What do you want?" Connor asked.
"My wolves tire from sheep meat and cow right now they are waiting for my order to let them run wild in the village."
"You can't do that! They would kill innocent people!" Silver said.
"Of course we won't have to resort to that if the hero here looks away" the man smirked.
"As if! Like I would allow a whole village to be slaughtered!" Connor yelled.
"Connor! That necklace, it's controlling the wolves!" Rene said.
"Kill them" the king said as the wolves began to growl and approach.
"Hn" Rene said pulling out two guns.
"Wait! They're being controlled I got an idea" Connor said as one of his Gauntlets glowed, "Time Control!"
In that moment Connor ripped the necklace off the king neck and pointed the tip of his blade to the man neck.
"Be careful with that! If anything happened to that were all dead!" the man said as Connor crushed it in his hand and all the wolves eyes stopped glowing and Silver began to growl to them and one back.
"I explained the story and now they want this guy" Silver said.
"No wait please don't let them kill me! I'll do anything!" the man begged.
"He's lying and he's a coward" Silver said.
"Even so get out of here, tell the wolves Silver to let him get a minute head start" Connor said as the man ran and an Alpha approached Connor and growled.
"She says thanks and wants to know what you want as a reward for freeing them of that loon" Silver said.
"All I ask is that they don't hurt anyone who comes to Mistpeak and stick to hunting animals" Connor said as Silver translated and the wolf growled back.
"She say, we sometimes have no choice with our homes being taken by man."
'Tell her that I promise to restore the forest and animals one day and will try to get more food to them."
"She agrees" Silver said.
Later that day they returned to Aeson home to share the news.
"Hmm I guess we can spare some food to the wolves till the woods are returned to us, okay you got a deal my prince" Aeson said.
IIIIIIIIIII
"Now this is interesting" Seth said back at the sanctuary and picked up the Normanomicon, "this dark book been searched for by many who to thought it be here."
"It is also a reason why the dead may no longer leave the Earth" Gabriel said approaching.
"What do you mean?" Seth asked.
"He means Ghosts you thumb sucking ninny!" Ginjer said.
"Shut it! Gabriel you mean to tell me this thing is the reason ghosts still walk the Earth?" Seth asked.
"Indeed the dead spirits may sleep but they cannot cross over, those who lose their will to wait for their eternal peace end up becoming Wisps."
"How sad" Seth said looking at the book.
"The hero will be needing that very soon" Gabriel said.
"That means don't get any ideas Hobbe breathe!" Ginjer said.
"That's it" Seth said going over to a table a picked up a roll of ducktape.
"What are you doing?" Ginjer asked as he saw the gleam in Seth eye.
"Something I should have done a long time ago!" Seth said as Gabriel watched.
"I am staying out of this."
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
"So we we're staying here the night" Rene shivered at the inn at Mistpeak they stayed in.
"We have no choice, man why are my clothes soaked?" Connor asked hanging up his wet clothes by a heater as Rene couldn't help but stare out how well built Connor was.
"Something wrong?" Connor asked.
"Nothing" Rene as she began to remove her wet clothes as Connor blushed and looked away before she pulled her shirt off.
"Even with the heater it's still cold" Rene shivered.
"Glad I have fur" Silver said laying at the end of Connor bed.
"Good thing my underwear dry" Rene said climbing into her bed and wrapped up in the blankets.
"Yeah I know" Connor said removing his pants and hung up the last of his wet clothes and only stood in his boxers as Rene explored the rest of his body with her eyes.
"Well night" Rene said turning her back to him and Silver with a blush.
"Night Connor said turning out the lights.
Later that night Connor was awaken by a lick to his face as he opened his eyes to see Silver.
"What?" Connor yawned.
"Listen" Silver said as Connor listened and heard shivering and looked over to see Rene shivering under her sheets.
"Go lay down with her then" Connor yawned.
"The girl got guns under her pillows. You do it, I like my fur" Silver said.
"Fine" Connor said stepping out of bed and shivered, being exposed to the cold and pulled up Rene blankets and crawled in behind her and wrapped his arms around her as she stopped shivering and turned over to rest her head on his chest.
'Oh crap now I'm stuck' Connor thought.
"Connor" Rene mumbled in her sleep as his eyes widen.
'She dreaming about me, man what am I getting myself into' Connor thought pulling her closer and wrapped the blankets up to them as he fell back to sleep and Silver and Nova watched from Connor bed.
"I hope he choose right" Silver said.
"Uh huh" Nova nodded.
The following morning Rene awoke to a nice warmth and smiled getting more of it and realized it was somebody and blinked her eyes to see Connor in her bed.
'How cute' Rene thought as Connor had a bit of drool coming down the side of his mouth and looked to be having a nice dream.
Rene then looked over to see Silver and Nova also asleep and felt a little temptation as she whipped the drool from his mouth and leaned in and kissed his lips.
'Must be his will that give off that spark' Rene thought as she touched one of the visible glowing blue veins on Connor face and began to traces the ones on his chest.
"Mmm" Connor mumbled before he yawned and looked to see Rene looking at him, "uh...I can explain why I am in your bed."
"Oh really?" Rene smirked.
"You were cold in the middle of the night so I figured I would share my heat" Connor blushed.
"Well thank you for that, come on. We got to get to Millfields" Rene said kissing his check and got out of bed to get dressed.
