A/N: I wonder what is going on with Autumn and by the way Immortal is planning it looks like things are going to get a lot worse for her and Bobby .

Chapter 24 : Trust Test
Impact Zone
Autumn surprisingly made it through the sit down interview with Jeremy Borash without falling asleep do to the restlessness she had the previous night . Autumn was walking through the Impact Zone when she saw Chris Harris talking on the phone to someone . She looked at him curiously at first , but didn ' t thinking anymore on any suspicion . The fact that he was helping to get rid of Immortal despite his lack of judgment when the Wildcat sided with them made her admire what he was doing . In a lot of ways Autumn had always wished over the years when she was growing up that maybe her father would see the era of his ways and wouldn ' t treat her like crap anymore , but that was never the case .
" Autumn ? " Chris had finally spotted her wondering what she was doing in the Impact Zone .
" I didn ' t mean for this to look like I was eavesdropping , because I wasn ' t . " Autumn said .
" Hmm , you seem more forgiving than the others , well outside of Storm . " Chris said looking at her .
" Its a long story . " Autumn said .
" So , what are you doing here on your day off ? " Chris not pressing the issue .
" Interview with JB . " Autumn said honestly .
" So , you are fitting into the routine of being a pro-wrestler then . " Chris said .
" Yeah , but I prefer the in ring and fan interaction part next to the other stuff . " Autumn said .
" We all do . " Chris looked at her .
" So , how are you holding up with everything ? " Autumn asked .
" The guys still don ' t trust me and I am having to watch the man I saw as mentor allow the company he founded and I love get run down by an idiot . " Harris said .
" Bischoff will be thrown out of Impact and Jarrett will eventually see his error in judgment when he decided to trust Bischoff . But , as far as the guys trusting you it will just take time Chris . " Autumn said .
" I don ' t know how Storm is so forgiving after I turned my back on him and what we stood for when TNA first came into existence . " Harris said .
" You would have to ask Storm that question . " Autumn said .
" Well , I better go and see if Sting needs me for anything . " Harris said walking a way .
Later That Night - Autumn ' s Apartment
Autumn had been dozing off on the couch while watching TV when she finally went to sleep . Then woke up all of a sudden due to have another vivid nightmare of her father and the wicked people from her hometown torturing Bobby in front of her again . Autumn grabbed her cell phone and called Bobby .
" Hello , " Bobby voice was clear on the other end .
" Bobby , its Autumn , " Autumn said .
" Hey , Autumn , what ' s up ? " Bobby could hear the quivering in her voice .
" Are you free to come over , I had a nightmare of home and my father ? " Autumn asked .
" Yeah , of course babe , I will be right over . " Bobby said as they both hung up the phone .
Bobby arrived at Autumn ' s apartment not long after they hung up the phones . Bobby used the spare key that Autumn had given him not to long ago and went in to find her in her room on the bed hunging her knees close to her and crying .
" Autumn , " Bobby came to her , sitting on the bed and hunging her close to him .
" Bobby , I ' m scared , these nightmares won ' t go away . " Autumn said now crying on Roode ' s shoulders .
" They will with me here , when did the nightmares start ? " Bobby asked .
" Last night , not long after I started receiving cryptic text messages from some mystery person . " Autumn said .
" What ? When did the text messages start ? " Bobby asked even more concerned .
" Two days ago . " Autumn said .
" About what ? " Bobby pressed on .
" All of them are about the same thing , who ever is sending me the text messages keeps bringing up my past , something about someone digging into my past . " Autumn said .
" That ' s not a good thing Autumn , your past is that place the other guys from Fortune and myself took you away from . " Roode said .
" Which they shouldn ' t be able to get that information without my say so or a court order . " Autumn said .
" Explain that last part , " Bobby said .
" A couple of months after you took me to CanAm , I had a thought of what if my father tried to come after me and I figured that he could go to the courthouse and find out that I was living in Detriot or where ever else I ended up in the future . So , D' Amore and I had my record sealed unless I consent to someone looking at them . " Autumn said .
" So , who could be looking at them ? " Bobby asked .
" I don ' t know , but would I be wrong to think that maybe its one of the guys from Immortal ? " Autumn asked .
" It could be and I will have someone look it to , but how would someone know that Immortal is digging up information on you unless they ' re someone close to Immortal or was in Immortal at one point . " Bobby said .
" You have anyone in mind cause I am drawing a blank . " Autumn said .
" Let me see your phone and see if there is a number . " Roode said .
Autumn got up and retrieved her phone from the living room and gave it to Bobby . Roode looked at the caller ID and saw the number , but also saw that there was no name on the number .
" Whose numbers do you have that we could rule out ? " Roode asked .
" You , the rest of Fortune , Traci , Sting , Petey , Scott D ' Amore , Impact Office in Nashville , and CanAm . " Autumn said .
" So , you don ' t have Wildcat ' s number or any of the guys from the X-Division ? " Bobby asked .
" Nope , " Autumn said as Bobby dialed a number on his phone .
" Hey , Storm , it ' s Bobby , can you do me a favor ? " Bobby asked as he picked up a pen and piece of paper from Autumn ' s nightstand .
Autumn looked at him for a moment .
" Can you give me Chris ' s number ? " Bobby asked .
Autumn looked even more confused at him wondering what he was doing .
" Okay , thanks , no that ' s it , I need to call him for a reason . I ' ll tell you later , alright bye . " Bobby said hanging up the phone .
" What do you need Chris ' s phone number for ? " Autumn asked .
" To check and see if it was him calling you . " Bobby looked at her .
" Bobby , be careful what you say to him . " Autumn said .
" Look , baby , I am not judging him or accusing him , but we have to be safe . " Bobby looked at the number Storm had given him and then at Autumn ' s phone realizing it wasn ' t the same number .
Autumn watched him for a moment .
" Its not the same number . " Bobby said .
" Do you think he would who it might be ? " Autumn questioned .
" I will call him and find out . " Bobby said dialing the number Storm had given him to call the Wildcat .
Bobby waited for a moment to allow Chris the chance to answer turning his phone on speaker phone this time .
" Hello , " Chris ' s voice was clear on the phone .
" Hello , Chris , it ' s Bobby , " Bobby letting Chris know who was talking to him .
" Roode , how did you get this number ? " Chris asked .
" From Storm . " Bobby answered .
" Okay , so , what can I do for you ? " Chris asked .
" Answer a few questions that I have . " Bobby said .
" Over the phone may not be a good idea . " Chris said .
" I agree , " Bobby said .
Autumn looked at Bobby to give Chris permission to come to her apartment , because she would like to hear the questions and answers for herself .
" Look , I will give you address to Autumn ' s apartment , come here preferably tonight . " Roode making Chris realized he meant it .
" Sure thing , " Chris said .
" Also know that if this address falls into the hands of Immortal or anyone else that would want to hurt Autumn . I will not hesitate to make your life miserable Cat . " Roode said .
" I understand , " Harris agreed , then Bobby gave him the address and they hung up the phones .
Autumn looked at Roode for a minute .
" What ' s on your mind babe ? " Roode asked .
" You ' re still suspicious of him . " Autumn said .
" Autumn , I don ' t like seeing the people I care about get hurt . So , yes I am still cautious of Harris . He choose to side with Immortal and mess with Storm . Storm is like my brother and the last thing I want to see is for him to get hurt and the same goes for you . I love you with everything I am and the last thing I want to see happen is for some to hurt you , so , if protecting you means keeping an eye the Wildcat then that ' s what I will do . " Bobby said pulling Autumn into his arms holding her close .
" For some reason , I don ' t feel like Harris is wanting to hurt anyone again and I also feel like Sting has been mentoring him ever since he left Immortal . But , I do know he is remorseful about turning his back on Storm and the rest of you . " Autumn said .
" How do you know that ? " Bobby asked concerned .
Autumn told him about seeing Harris at the Impact Zone after her interview and what they had talked about .
" So , he realizes that most of the people are cautious of him ? " Roode asked .
" Yes , but he also regrets allowing himself to be manipulated by Immortal and letting them use him to try and bring down TNA . " Autumn said .
" Which means he realizes what he did wrong and really is trying to make up for it . " Bobby sighed realizing that maybe Chris could be trusted .
Just then a knock came at Autumn ' s Apartment door , Bobby got up and let Chris in the apartment .
" Hey , " Chris said as he walked in .
" Bobby ' s got questions . " Autumn said looking at Roode .
" Yes , I do , because someone maybe trying to hurt Autumn and some has also been contacting her mysterious either to try and scare her or warn her . " Bobby said .
" And you think its me calling her , cause I know I haven ' t done anything to hurt Autumn ? " Chris questioned .
" I know its not you , already checked her caller ID and it doesn ' t match your phone number . But , I do think it could be someone connected to Immortal or that was apart of Immortal at some point . " Roode looked at Chris .
Autumn watched them conversing wondering if she should have called someone more neutral over to make sure the two boys didn ' t get out of hand .
" So , what do you want to know ? " Chris asked .
Bobby took out Autumn ' s cell phone and showed the mystery number to Chris .
" Does this number look familiar to you ? " Roode asked .
Chris looked at it for a moment thinking and then realized it was someone Sting had been trying to get in contact with for a while now .
" Yes , I know who it is and Sting ' s been looking for him . " Chris said .
" Him ? " Bobby and Autumn both asked .
" Jeff Hardy , " Chris said .
Bobby and Autumn both looked at each other knowing that Jeff had been the number one guy in Immortal until the incident at Victory Road .
" Jeff Hardy ? " Bobby asked .
" Yeah , I guess you could say Sting has an invested interest in making sure Jeff comes clean this time and clears his head of the lies Bischoff fed him while he was in Immortal . I was trying to get in contact with him early when Autumn saw me at the Impact Zone , but still nothing . " Harris said .
" Why would Jeff try to warn me about what Immortal is doing unless it has something to do with Matt ? " Autumn asked then looked at Bobby .
" You don ' t think Matt could be using like Jeff did at Victory Road ? " Bobby asked .
" Matt ' s been having some problem with substance abuse , mainly alcohol , but not on the same level as Jeff ' s situation . Matt has another skill set that Immortal values very highly , outside of the wrestling . " Harris being honest with Bobby .
" And that is ? " Bobby asked .
" His ability to find information and use a computer . " Harris said making Autumn look at Bobby .
" Could Matt have the ability to look into my past ? " Autumn asked Bobby .
" He shouldn ' t be able to after what you told me . " Roode said .
" What are you two talking about ? " Chris questioned .
" Would Matt be skilled enough to get into sealed records illegally ? " Autumn asked .
" Not sure , but I wouldn ' t put it past him . " Chris said .
" How would you be able to know if some is getting into sealed records ? " Autumn asked .
" The people that sealed them has the power to look into it and so does a judge or attorney if permitted . " Bobby said .
" I am still confused ? " Harris looking at Autumn and Bobby .
" Do you know about my childhood , Chris ? " Autumn asked .
" Yes , Storm , AJ , Daniels , and Kazarian told me . " Harris still being honest .
" Then you know what myself and the rest of Fortune had to do to get her out and that I am the one who took her to Petey and D' Amore to be trained ? " Bobby questioned .
" Yes , I do . " Harris looked at Bobby .
" And you know about my dad and the people in the town I grew up ? " Autumn asked .
Harris nodded his head yes , but looked at them confused with all of the questions they both were giving him .
" Few months after I started training with Petey and Scott , I decided to have my records sealed just to be safe from my dad or anyone else in my childhood home that may come looking for me . " Autumn said .
" So , you think someone is digging up stuff on your past through the sealed in order to hurt you . " Harris said to show he understood what she was saying .
" Yes , but not to hurt just me , I think they are trying to hurt someone else very close to me . " Autumn said .
" Who ? " Bobby and Chris both asked .
Bobby was extra curious at this point because she had only mentioned her getting hurt and not someone else .
Autumn looked at Bobby for a moment .
" If my nightmare is right then they are planning on hurting you as well , Bobby . " Autumn said keeping the tears back that was trying to escape her , crying in front of Bobby was one thing , but she didn ' t want to start tearing up with Harris still in her apartment .
" Have you guys told the others about this ? " Chris asked .
" Not , yet , but we will tomorrow . " Bobby said looking at Autumn who nodded her head in agreement .
" Anything else , I can do for you ? " Harris asked .
" Yeah , you said Autumn caught you on the phone with someone earlier at the Impact Zone ? You mind telling us who ? " Bobby asked this was a test to see if Chris could be trusted .
" Two people actually , the first one was Devon Dudley , I was hoping he might of heard from Jeff Hardy and Sting wants Devon ' s help , but has told me what he exactly wants Devon to do . The second was Chyna , " Chris said .
" Chyna ? " Bobby and Autumn both asked .
" Yes , Kurt Angle and Chyna will be dealing with Jeff and Karen Jarrett to keep them from interferring in the title match between Storm and Bully Ray . " Chris said .
" Thank God , cause that will be the same day I have to face Madison again in the Knockouts number one contenders tournament and the last thing I want is Karen getting involved . " Autumn said .
" Which means Storm won ' t be the only one saved by Angle and Chyna taking on the Jarretts . " Chris said .
" Exactly , " Roode said .
" Not to mention , I have a friend coming to help me with the finals in the tournament and I already ran it by the TNA Executives to make sure she will be allowed to help . " Autumn smirked .
" Friend ? " Roode asked and Chris looked at her .
" Yep , you will find out tomorrow with everyone else . " Autumn smiled bigger .
" Okay , so , do you need to know anything else ? " Chris asked .
" Yeah , I have one last question before you leave . " Bobby looked at him serious .
" Go ahead and ask . " Harris said .
" You have come clean to Sting , Storm , and Autumn , but why have you left me out Chris ? " Roode asked finally getting to what he want to ask Chris for awhile .
" Bobby , if I had come clean to you before proving myself to you by actions would you have believed me ? " Harris asked .
" No , you did hurt Storm , the same guy you asked me to watch after when you left TNA for the other company . " Bobby said .
" Exactly , " Chris said standing up and moving towards the door .
" Chris , as far as I am concerned now you have proven to me that you can be trusted again . " Bobby said making Chris turn to look at him .
" You mean that ? " Chris asked .
Autumn was looking at the both of them letting the boys settle the issues between them .
" Yes , I do , but don ' t think I ' m not going to keep my eye on you any less with Immortal still around , Cat . " Bobby said .
" No problem . " Harris said .
" Thank you for being honest with me tonight . " Roode giving his hand to Chris .
" Sure thing and thank you for having Storm ' s back when I was being an idiot . " Chris said shaking Bobby ' s hand .
Chris then left the apartment .
" That went well , " Autumn said walking towards her room .
