Disclaimer: Supernatural ain't mine.
Warning: Spoilers for The Things We Left Behind (10x09).
A/N: Hello all and welcome to my story that hasn't been updated since dinosaurs roamed the Earth! :D :D
So as to no confuse anyone, here is the formatting of the story-
Italics are Claire "praying" or "speaking" to her dad, Jimmy Novak. Somewhere in Supernatural, didn't they said that any thoughts directed to an angel is seen as praying (aka, that angel will hear you)? Either way, that's my logic for Claire's pray/talking.
Non-italics describe what is happening. So, even if these are also Claire's thought, these are just general things that Castiel/Jimmy don't hear.
Anyways! I know I'm a bit late to the party on this one, but I couldn't NOT write a piece for the episode that finally, finally acknowledges Jimmy! Without further adieu...
Read, enjoy, review! :D
Daddy,
Where are you? I need you.
I'm marching like soldiers, I'm hating on them all- every bit of faith and all the Christians. And we all are as rotted as our faith.
I'm falling apart, I'm breaking even though you said I wouldn't. He took me and you said that was bad, so I let myself go and I let you go and now life is just go-go-go.
"Let us pray" and now I'm screaming. My teeth are clenched and my throat is tight, my fists are shaking and my eyes are dead. I'm screaming but you don't come.
I had faith once, daddy. Like you said I should. You said it would save us, but faith invited the devil into our home.
I'm gonna run, run, run away from this place. Don't worry though, follow the trail of screams and you'll be able to find me.
The devil was once an angel- you taught me that. You said faith and goodness would keep him at bay. You said don't believe the devil when he whispers in your ear.
My name is Claire and that's short for Trouble. I'm a rat and thief and I'm turning away from all that makes us rotted. I'm never gonna pray again.
But you never said what would happen if all angels are devils. You listened to his whispers, Daddy.
I'm never going to make it out of Pontiac. I'm trapped forever, like father like daughter. The system keeps finding me, but you don't even though I'm still leaving screams like bread crumbs.
WHY WHY WHY.
I'm a frequent flyer and I don't ever get visitors, but there is one now and I don't understand.
Your father's here to see you. The guard says.
Daddy?
And you appear.
Hello Claire, it's been a long time. Daddy says.
I don't have to scream anymore.
I don't have to scream anymore.
I'm not your father. The devil says.
I get it now.

You can't hear anything, can you Daddy?
It doesn't matter how much I scream.
Because you're dead, dead, dead.
I can't stop screaming.
