June 25th, 2002

The months rolled passed as Harry and Ginny got on with their lives. A normality that had not been common in their lives had settled over them and they lived…well they lived like newlyweds; going to and from work, laughing, being normal, and being together. To Ginny it felt nice. It was normal, for once in her life she felt normal.

This June was warm. On particular Saturday both Ginny and Harry were still sleeping after a long week of work.

Harry's eyes opened slowly, squinted from the sun streaming into the windows. Ginny's head rested on his chest, her hair fanned out behind her. She clutched at Harry's shirt with one of her hands.

"How did I get so lucky?" He whispered, to what he thought was himself. Ginny, however, was wide awake.

She smiled, "You shouldn't stare. It is considered rude in some places."

"I thought you were sleeping." He ran a hand down her arm.

Ginny mumbled something before Harry pulled her so she was right on top of him.

"We have lunch with everyone from Hogwarts today." He told her before capturing her lips with his own.

"And when do we have to be there?" She asked, moving towards his neck. She giggled as a moan forced its way from Harry's throat.

"In a half hour. We're meeting them at half eleven." He told her. His hands moved to her hips and he flipped her over so he was hovering over her, "If we did that then we never make in time." He gave her a final kiss before rolling off the bed and walking into the bathroom.

"You tease!" Ginny called after him. She put on her robe and made her way down the hall to check on Teddy who was most likely still asleep. Last night had been their Friday night game night. Fred and Angelina, Ron and Hermione, Bill and Fleur, and their kids had come over to play different muggle board games last night and they hadn't left until very late.

Like she suspected Teddy was still sound asleep, curled up with a grey wolf that had been the Harry's very first gift to his godson.

She watched his little chest rise and fall as he breathed deeply in sleep. She should wake him up but he just looked so peaceful. Deciding to leave him sleeping a little while longer Ginny walked back to her room. She could hear the shower running. She smiled to herself before slipping through the door and dropping her robe.

So what if they were a little late.

"Sorry! Sorry, I know we're late, Teddy got us all caught up." Ginny recited their rehearsed excuse.

The couple were at least an hour late to the lunch and when they rushed in nearly every single friend that sat in the private parlour turned and looked at them with a knowing look. Harry smirked a little while Ginny gently shoved him and blushed a deep red.

"Ginny!" Luna came from the crowd hugging Ginny tightly.

"Luna! You didn't say that you were coming back! How was the trip? Did you end up seeing that man –" Ginny stopped as a tall sandy haired man came to stand next to Luna. Her eyes widened as he kissed her check and wound an arm around her, "You must be Rolf then?" She said to him.

"That's right." He held out a hand to Ginny. She took it easily, "Writing about me, are we Luna?" She blushed before Rolf moved away again and engaged in a conversation with Dean.

"I don't think I have ever seen you blush before Luna. What's between you two then?"

"Nothing. We met in Germany and we just never really parted. He…well he pretty much followed me through Holland and then all the way to Brazil." Luna looked at her feet, a blush creeping up her neck again.

"That's so romantic!" Ginny gushed.

"What's so romantic?" Harry put an arm around Ginny's shoulders and handed her a drink.

"Luna is telling me how her and Rolf got together." Harry tried to look interested.

"It's alright Harry. I can see that the story is not that interesting to you." Luna said smiling slightly. He was still the young man that was embarrassed at any type of mushy romance that Ginny often talked about. Luna was often reminded of the boy in fifth year. Her first friend.

"It's good to see you Luna." He said giving her a friendly smile.

"The same to you Harry."

"Right, well this all very good and all but I still have heard the story. Go away Harry so Luna can tell me the story without having to look at you all uncomfortable." Harry frowned slightly before Ginny kissed him and pushed him away from them.

"You two seem okay then?" Luna asked.

"What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean Ginny. In one letter you mention that you're pregnant, then I don't hear from you for weeks," Ginny couldn't look at her, "then out of the blue I get a letter from Harry begging me to come home because you've fallen into this depression again."

"I'm fine Luna." Luna looked at her with disbelieving eyes, "Really I'm fine."

"But you're not. You're not fine Ginny, I can see it in your eyes." Luna looked around, gesturing to Alicia who was standing in Oliver's arms, "I saw how you avoided Alicia when you came in."

"I didn't – " Ginny started but Luna cut her off.

"No Ginny. You can't stand the fact that she is pregnant and you're not. You aren't being honest with yourself." Luna looked at her friend honestly, "Ginny it will happen one day, for you and Harry but you can't lie to yourself like this. You have to talk to someone."

"No one understands what this feels like Luna. No one, not even Harry gets it." Ginny placed her drink down and wrapped her arms around herself.

"Talk to me Ginny. You're my best friend and I'm here for you but you can't let yourself go into this deep hole that you have built for yourself."

"I've been fine for months now Luna, I'm getting better." Ginny tried to find the words to describe her feelings, "It's…I just find it…It's hard to see them so happy when I was supposed to be that happy. I want to be that happy."

"And you will be!" Luna put an arm around her best friend, "And when you have that beautiful baby they will have the best godparent ever."

Ginny gave Luna a confused look, "Huh?"

"Well, I will be the kid's godparent; you would have to pick me." Luna laughed before hugging Ginny tightly and pulling her over to the bar for another drink.

Harry, however, was watching the exchange between the best friends from the other side of the parlour. He had small smile on his face as he watched a genuine smile cross Ginny's face. She was so glad to finally have her best friend back.

"Harry? Harry?" Hermione waved a hand in front of his face, "Are you even listening to me?"

"Huh?"

"Oh never mind." Hermione slumped back in her chair as she watched Draco and Astoria. Harry noticed them enter as well. He watched as Neville shook his hand and they shared a light smile. Hannah hugged Astoria and gushed over her ring.

They must have gotten married then, Harry thought to himself. Harry moved to get up but was blocked by Ron.

"Can't believe that stupid git is here. I know Nev is all chummy with him now but man, he has some nerve coming here." Ron sat himself next to Hermione. Harry sighed. This grudge seemed like it might last forever. Harry caught Draco's eye. He watched him excuse himself and make his way over to the trio.

"Hi there." Harry thought he seemed nervous. Draco was playing with the wedding band on his finger and was shooting glances at Ron.

"Hi Draco. What brings you here?" Harry asked him, also shooting a nervous glance at Ron, who had a very sour look on his face.

"Nev invited me. Astoria and Hannah get along and have kinda forced us into a friendship." He laughed nervously, his eyes darting towards Ron again, "I was hoping I could actually talk to you three."

Harry sat up a little straighter as Draco took a seat around the table. One deep breath after the other. It's almost laughable, thought Harry as he watched Draco play with his wedding band.

"I need to apologise. It should have been done a long time ago but the point is," Another deep breath, "The point is that I'm doing it now. I'm sorry. For everything that I have done."

Hermione smiled, "Thank you Draco. That must have been –"

"That is no way near enough." Ron blurted out.

"Ron!" Hermione looked outraged at her husband.

"What?! It's true. How can he expect us to forgive him after everything he did to us?" Ron said, slamming his drink on the table. Many heads had turned their way. Hermione frowned at him.

"No, he's right." Draco said cutting any arguments from Hermione, "There's nothing I can say for the way I acted towards you all in school or during the war. I covered my own ass and I ended up on the wrong side."

"You did what you were told or you would have died." Harry said quietly. He had already made his peace with the Malfoys. Well, two of them anyway. He had let go of any anger towards Draco or Narcissa when she saved him, when she lied for him.

"That's right. You covered your own ass and watch Hermione get tortured in your drawing room." Ron pushed his chair out and stormed out of the bar. Hermione apologised quickly to Draco and Harry and ran after him. Harry sighed.

"I'm sorry. He's still trying to get past your part in the whole Malfoy Manor capture I guess. Still fresh for them." Harry said, leaning forward.

"It's fine. Really, I wish I had done something but Aunt Bella was…well, she was crazy." Draco said, "I don't expect him to ever forgive but we run in the same circles now," Draco gestured to those around them, "I don't want it to be awkward."

"I get it," Harry told him. He looked over to where Ginny, Hannah, Luna and Astoria were laughing amongst themselves, "He'll come around but for now, I think, lay off and let him cool down."

Draco nodded and mumbled a reply as Astoria came and dragged him away.
