Chapter 25: Speed of Sound Part 1
I HAVE SURVIVED THE HORRORS KNOWN AS MIDTERMS! Those tests were long and hard, but being me, I prevailed and finished them.
Now this world was an idea that I've been planning from the creation of this story. This arc will be a little hard to write, but I'll manage, because I am awesome.

Sora and the gang had disembarked from the Gummi Ship and were exploring the new world. They were walking through a city that had a lot of tall buildings and elevated highways.
"Woah, this place is amazing," Sora said as he looked around.
"What's the matter? Never been in the big city before?" Shin asked.
Sora shook his head and said, "I've been to many worlds, but the only place that was highly advanced was inside a computer.
Terra raised an eyebrow and asked, "Inside a computer?"
"I'll have to show you if we go back to Radiant Garden," Sora said. He then turned to Aqua and asked, "Have you been anywhere that was super advanced?
Aqua put a hand on her chin and said, "I was inside a giant spaceship once. I had a peculiar adventure involving a little alien. The people who were on the ship called him Experiment 626."
"I remember running into a pair of weirdos who were searching for something that went by the same name when I was with the Organization," Roxas said.
"Sounds like that thing was more trouble than it was worth," Shin said.
"He wasn't that bad, he just had a large curiosity that caused him to do some mischief," Aqua said.
"Reminds me of a friend," Sora said. The group continued walking through the city, admiring the advanced buildings until they reached a park. They entered and saw that there was a little playgroud with children playing.
"Ahhh, such a peaceful place," Aqua said as she leaned against a tree.
"Remind me, why did we come here again?" Roxas asked as he jumped and sat on a tree branch.
"It was a new world, so I wanted to explore it. Harmless curiosity," Sora said as he stretched his arms.
"Well, knowing our luck, there's going to be trouble sooner or later," Shin said as he laid down on the grass, Terra sitting next to him.
"Don't talk like that, you'll jinx us," the blond female said as she poked him on the forehead. Shin just smirked and closed his eyes as he relaxed on the grass.
Sora was walking through the park as he took in the peaceful winds that slightly ruffled his hair. He eventually came upon a group of kids who were having a picnic. There were two boys and two girls, with one of the girls in a wheelchair. There was something about the girl in the wheelchair that seemed familier to Sora. Sora shook his head and walked further into the small forest when he saw a familier figure.
"Cherubimon," Sora said, gaining the Dark Lord's attention. The mutant bunny turned around and saw the Keyblade's Chosen One behind him.
"Ah, how nice to see you again Sora," Cherubimon greeted.
"What are you doing here?" Sora asked.
"My Emperor sensed an imbalance in the Realm of Light that lasted for only a hour before an energy was felt here. I was sent to investigate," Cherubimon answered.
"What kind of energy?" Sora inquired.
Cherubimon glanced back to the group of kids before saying, "A Princess of Heart has lost the purity of her heart, and a new one was chosen to replace her. I have my suspicions that it is the girl in the wheelchair."
"How does a Princess of Heart lose their light?" Sora wondered.
"It has happened in the past, and we have deduced it to being something done by Kingdom Hearts. Apparently, a Princess will lose their light if they die, or give in to the darkness, which the latter option rarely happens. Somethimes it will happen if a Princess is in so much danger, either from the dangers of their own world or rouge forces of darkness, that Kingdom Hearts will place their duty on another to try and prevent a loss of life." Cherubimon explained.
"So a Princess died?" Sora asked.
The Dark Lord shook his head and said, "No, the Emperor knows how all the changes feel, and it just felt like a normal change from an old Princess to a new Princess. He even knows who the old Princess was.
"Who was it?" Sora asked.
Cherubimon put a hand to his chin and said, "Um...it was a girl named...Abby? Alicia? Aeris? Alice? Yes, Alice. Apparently, her innocent and curious nature keeps getting her in trouble with a self proclaimed ruler of her world."
"Right, the Queen of Hearts," Sora said with a annoyed tone.
"Sora?" a voice called out. Sora and Cherubimon turned and saw that Roxas was approaching them and stood next to Sora.
"Who's this?" Roxas asked.
"This is the guy who allowed you to be your own person," Sora said.
Cherubimon had a confused look on his face and said, "This is your Nobody? I though that all Nobodies look like their others except with minor differences."
"Well I've got somebody else's heart inside me, so it affected his appearance," Sora explained.
Cherubimon chuckled and said, "You're just full of surprises. Well I'm afraid I must depart for now. A little warning though, three of the Seekers originate from this world. Little birdies are telling me that they may try to conquer this place soon." With that, the Dark Lord vanished in a Corridor of Darkness, leaving the two Keyblade Wielders alone.
"I now understand what Aeleus meant by 'mutant bunny'," Roxas said. Sora nodded before turning and walking back towards where the others were, Roxas followed him. The returned to see Shin sitting on a tree branch while Terra and Aqua were sitting on a nearby bench conversing.
"Hey," Sora called out, startling Shin and causing him to fall off the branch and land on his face, causing everyone to laugh.
"Yeah yeah, laugh at the pain of the handsome man," Shin said as he stood up.
"But I didn't fall on my face," Shinryu said. Shin rolled his eyes and focused on Sora as he cleared his throat to address the group.
"I have learned that a Princess of Heart is here," Sora said, shocking the entire group.
"But, this isn't a world that any of them live in," Aqua said.
"I thought that you had met them all," Terra said.
"Explain this confusion," Shinryu commanded.
Sora looked at Aqua and asked, "Remember Cherubimon?"
Aqua looked confused for a minute before asking, "The freaky bunny?"
Suddenly, a lightning bolt struck the ground next to her, causing her to jump back. When the small dust cloud cleared, a message was written next to her. It said, "I am NOT related to a bunny in ANY WAY! X-(" Everyone looked at the message and took a step away from the blunette.
"What?" she asked.
"We're not getting hit by lightning," they chorused causing Aqua to sweatdrop.
"Please, that was just a freaky lightning bolt. There's no way that mutant rabb-" The sound of thunder prevented Aqua from finishing her sentence as she looked up and saw that a single dark cloud was among all the white ones, right above her, sparking with electricity.
"Moving on, what did that bu-handsome devil want?" Aqua asked as she corrected herself. The thunder cloud dissapeared, causing her to let out a sigh of relief.
"Strange," Sora said as he held a hand to his chest, right over his heart, "I felt a pain in my heart when you said handsome."
Shin had a mischevious glint in his eye before asking, "Ventus' heart is inside you correct?" Sora nodded, and Shin grinned and said, "I rest my case." Everyone realized what Shin was talking about and began to laugh, except Aqua who's brain was trying to process the new information.
'Ven might like me? But, we're just friends, right?' Aqua thought as a faint blush settled on her cheeks.
"All right, can we get back to the topic at hand?" Roxas asked.
"Right right," Sora said, "Apparently a Princess of Heart was replaced, and the new one is on this world."
"Are you sure you can trust this guy?" Shin asked.
Sora shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well, we don't know a lot about him, or this Emperor guy, but he hasn't given us a reason not to believe him."
"Fair enough," Shin said. "So what are we going to do now?"
"He also said that some Seekers of Darkness are going to try and take over this world soon," Roxas began, "so we should stay here and try to get rid of them, for good."
"You seem determined about this," Terra said.
"Well, the sooner we get rid of them, the sooner we can prevent a calamity from happening," Roxas said.
"True," Aqua agreed.
"So, aside from what we will do, what do we do NOW," Sora asked. Before Shin could voice his opinion, a large explosion came from further into the park. The heroes looked at each other before running towards the area and seeing a peculiar sight.
There was a giant, red machine with alot of lights on the top part of its body. There were two energy wings located on its back that were allowing it to fly. On its right hand it had an energy cannon that was in the shape of a cylinder. Its left hand was a giant drill. It had two legs on the bottom that were also emitting an energy that allowed it to fly. It had two feet and a tail underneath the main body. Also coming out of its back were two arms that had spheres attatched to them, inside one sphere were the group of kids that Sora saw before. In the other sphere was Cherubimon, who was constantly punching against his prison. In the cockpit of the machine was a...round, bald man with a big mustache. He was wearing a red suit with yellow buttons.
"HOHOHO! My plan for revenge is almost complete!" The man said in an annoying voice.
"Doctor, you should keep it down, you might get a sore throat again," A yellow robot with a large head said as he flew next to the giant machine in a hovercraft. Next to him was a blue robot with a large body in another hovercraft.
"Shut up you insufferable buffoons!" The man yelled, causing the two to flinch and move away from him.
"Let me out of here or you're going to get it!" Cherubimon commanded as he continuously punched the sphere.
"You're not going anywhere. I may not know you, but I know you are a friend of Sonic. After all, he's friends with a lot of bunnies," the man said.
A tick mark appeared on Cherubimon's head and he shouted, "I AM NOT A BUNNY!"
"Doctor Eggman, I do not think it is wise to anger him," The blue robot said.
"Please, what can he do when he's trapped inside my indestructable prison?" Eggman asked.
"Let us go you creep!" One of the boys yelled.
"Silence you vermin! You're my bait to getting Sonic out in the open. Back to you, of course you're a bunny, I haven't seen any elephant anthros so you're a bunny!" Eggman shouted.
Cherubimon was growling as electricity surged through his hands. "For the last time..." he said as dark clouds gathered overhead, "I AM NOT A BUNNY! STORM OF JUDGEMENT!" Cherubimon roared as large lightning bolts struck the ground around the machine. One struck his prison and caused it to shatter. Cherubimon then zoomed towards the cockpit as the machine was already moving away from the enraged bunn-, I mean, fallen angel.
"Think we should help?" Shin asked.
"Why wouldn't we?" Aqua asked.
"That guy has everything under control," Shin said, watching the lightning show.
"True, but those children could get hurt by his rampage," Terra said.
"She's right," Roxas agreed.
Shin sighed and said, "Fine, I just wanted to relax on a world without having to get into a fight.
"Let's go!" Sora shouted as he summoned his Keyblade Glider, Aqua and Roxas following his lead. Shin summoned his wings while Terra floated using magic. The five heroes then flew after the rampaging Cherubimon, who was chasing Eggman.
(Elsewhere)
"It's been a long time since I've seen Cherubimon get that angry," The Emperor said as he watched the event unfold.
"I would have imagined that a Dark Lord would be more controled," Sephiroth said as he watched.
The Emperor chuckled and said, "We don't like being professional to often. I mean, we can be professional, we just don't like acting like it too often. We prefer to acting like ourselves rather than acting like boring businessmen."
Sephiroth nodded and said, "I see, so who would be the strongest among the Dark Lords?"
"No one is the strongest," he began, "each one has their own strengths and weaknesses. If you were to compare people as a whole, then they would win and lose in certain catagories, showing that there is no real winner. If you were to ask who was the strongest in a specific category, then I could answer you."
"Then how would you gauge all the Dark Lords?"
The Emperor sighed and said, "In terms of strength, then the Dark Lord of the Land is the strongest. Speed is a tie between the Dark Lords of the Sky and Black Ops. The Dark Lord of the Science Division is the most intelligent. When it comes to battle strategy, then it is a four way tie between Cherubimon and the Dark Lords of the Land, Sky, and Sea. When it comes to endurance, then it's down to Cherubimon. As you can see, each one of them is unique in their own way."
"What about when they stand together, side by side?" Sephiroth asked.
The Emperor gave a laugh and said, "They are unstopable."
(Back with Sora)
(Battle Music-Egg Dragoon-Sonic Unleashed)
Roxas flew alongside the machine and shot at it with his Oblivion Guns. The dark bullets made small dents in the machines armor.
"Stay away from my beautiful Egg Dragoon you brats!" Eggman yelled as he took a swing at Roxas with the drill. Roxas jumped over the drill as his Glider flew underneath it. When he landed, he took a shot at the cockpit, but he hit the armor around it.
"Now!" he yelled. A half mile away, Aqua fired an arrow from her bow and destroyed the arm holding the last sphere. The capsule fell, into Terra's waiting arms, who then flew them to someplace safe.
"How is she so strong Bocoe?" the yellow robot asked.
"I do not know Decoe," Bocoe replied.
"It's because she's special," the two turned around to see Shin floating behind them with his arms crossed. The two robots went wide eyed before they flew away, with Shin right behind them.
"I do not thing Doctor Eggman was prepared for this!" Decoe yelled.
"Oh really? I did not notice!" Bocoe sarcastically yelled back. Shin just sighed and flew after them.
Cherubimon had charged some electricity in his fist and began to pound away at the Dragoon. He was knocked away by the cannon and flew past Sora who was flying towards the Egg Dragoon and held the Lady Luck in his hands. He tried to get close to the cockpit, but had to fly away to avoid the drill arm.
"Why does everyone have to play the hero in this town?" Eggman whined as he pulled his nonexistent hair in frustration.
"Because it's the right thing to do when we have to deal with madmans like you," Sora said as he launched a Firaga spell. The Egg Dragoon just blocked it with the cannon and proceeded to fire several energy blasts at Sora from the feet. The teen flew away as the energy blasts followed him. Sora noticed this and grew a mischievous grin on his face as he then made a sharp U-Turn and flew back towards the Egg Dragoon, decreasing his speed. Once he was close to the Dragoon, and the energy blasts were right behind him, he made a turn to the right and increased his speed, watching as the energy blasts impacted against the Dragoon, causing small pillars of ice to appear on the surface of the mech.
"No! Look what you've done!" Eggman yelled as he tried to swat Sora out of the sky. Sora flew out of his reach and went for cover. Roxas had snuck up behind him and went to strike the cockpit.
"Now you're...gone?" Eggman was not in the cockpit, but the Egg Dragoon was still moving because it tried to knock him out of the sky.
"Found you!" Terra cried as she saw that Eggman had moved to another cockpit under the main body of the machine. She tried to hit him with a Thunder spell, but was knocked away by the drill.
"Terra!" Aqua yelled as she flew after the girl, catching her before she hit the ground.
"I've had enough of this," Cherubimon growled as he held a bolt of lightning in his hand. he launched himself towards the mech and stabbed the Dragoon with the bolt and ripped off a panel of the machine.
"Get away!" Eggman yelled as he stabbed Cherubimon with the drill, causing everyone to gasp.
"Do you really think that this can stop me?" Cherubimon asked, startling everyone present.
"But...how?" Eggman asked, shocked.
Cherubimon gave off a malicious grin and said, "Sorry, secret." He then exploded into millions of dark orbs and flew around the machine. Eggman was starting to panic as he tried to destroy the orbs, only for them to swiftly evade his attacks and surround the Egg Dragoon. Suddenly, half of the orbs flew towards the city, leaving everyone wondering what was going on. When they returned, they had a red aura around them. Then, the orbs that didn't have an aura around them reformed Cherubimon's head, chest, and arms. In his hand was ann orange seal.
"Here it comes!" the Emperor said as he and Sephiroth observed.
"I bring forth all the wrath within this city," Cherubimon chanted as the seal began to glow a bright orange. All of the orbs lost their glow as their red aura flowed into the seal.
"Let all of the anger and hate within this world flow into your being," the seal then floated into the air and began to glow brighter.
"And unleash your burning rage onto my enemies!" The light then began to take the shape of a large humanoid figure. He wore a red cloak that had several black parts on it that were decorated by a gold trimming. He had two large, bat-like wings that each had three horns on them. He had a pendant around his neck that had an eye design on it. On his cone-like head were two horns and an evil eye design on his forehead.
The figure looked around and said, "I was expecting to be summoned to a chaotic battle, not a peaceful dump."
Cherubimon scoffed and said, "Sorry, but I need you to get rid of this annoying pest, he's been getting on my nerves."
The figure just crossed his arms and said, "This is such a waste of time."
"GET TO IT DAEMON!" Cherubimon roared as lightning cackled around him.
Daemon sighed and said, "Well, I could use the workout."
"Great, more freaks, just what I need!" Eggman whined. Upon hearing that, our heroes stepped away just as a roaring fire surrounded Daemon.
"Remember what Shin said about standing back and watching?" Sora asked.
"Yes, what about it?" Roxas asked.
"We should have done that," Sora said.
"I agree," Aqua said.
"I second that motion," Terra said.
"Glad to see that you agree with me now." Everyone turned around to see Shin standing there with Bocoe and Decoe tied up behind him.
"How long have you been standing there?" Sora asked.
"Since that guy over there turned into tiny orbs," Shin said.
"What did that insignificant, fat, worthless insect call me?" Daemon asked as the fire grew bigger. Eggman was sweating so hard, you would think that he was working out.
Cherubimon grinned and said, "A freak." Daemon let out a roar of anger as the area around his feet was burned to a crisp.
"Evil Flapping!" Daemon flapped his wings and created a large gust of wind with his wings that pushed the Egg Dragoon away and onto its back. Eggman had tried to get away, but the demonic being wasn't going to let that happen.
"Hammer Knuckle!" Daemon clasped his hands together and smashed them onto the Egg Dragoons body. The machine was able to withstand the attack for only so long before the metal began to dent and break.
"Stop! You're ruining it!" Eggman cried.
"Good! Now stay there and die! Double Dust!" Daemon yelled as he ripped off the Dragoon's arms. The top part of the machine began to spark and smoke due to malfunctions. Eggman typed in an command and the cockpit moved to a lower part of the machine where the legs and tail separated and grew wings. The mini dragon then flew away while Daemon continued to pound away at the abandoned machine.

"Enough Daemon, he got away," Cherubimon said as he approached the demon. Said demon began to calm down and floated away from the wreck. "And so did his pawns." Shin turned around to see the lack of captured robots and cut rope in their place.
"I thought I had that rope tied upnice and tight," Shin said as he picked up a piece.
"They probably had a hidden blade on them," Roxas said as he observed the Dark Lord conversing with Daemon.
"You let your anger get the better of you again," Daemon said.
Cherubimon sighed and said, "You know that I hate being called a bunny."
"According to Ravemon, you didn't mind when you were a Lopmon," Daemon pointed out.
"I was cute and fuzzy!" Cherubimon protested.
Daemon chuckled and said, "Fine fine, just remember to summon me when you're in a war. I want to cause as much destruction as possible." With that, Daemon vanished into the seal which floated into Cherubimon's hand.
Said Dark Lord turned and faced the heroes and said, "I'd love to stay and chat, but now I have to go and write my report, until next time." He then bowed and vanished into a Corridor of Darkness.
"Now what?" Aqua asked.
"Let's go check on those kids," Sora suggested, to which everyone agreed. Terra then took everyone to where she hid the children.
(Back With The Emperor)
"Wasn't that a grand show?" the Emperor asked Sephiroth who was leaning against the wall.
"I'll admit, I am impressed, Cherubimon impressed me," the One Winged Angel said.
"If you think that you've seen everything, you'll be surprised later on," the Emperor said as he snickered.
"I'll be waiting to see your true abilities," Sephiroth said.
"That won't be happening for some time," the Emperor began, "I still need to wait for one of the Dark Lords to return from his mission and bring me the items needed to break the seals on me."
"They must be strong seals if they are able to contain you," Sephiroth said.
"Yes, unfortunately they are, however, they will be broken before the Seekers of Darkness are destroyed," the Emperor said as he clenched his fist. "By the way, we have company." The two dark figures turned and saw that there was a small army of egg shaped orange robots with cartoonish faces that looked like Eggman.
"Well, looks like I can get some exercise of my own," the Emperor said as he stretched his legs.
"Allow me to take care of this, I want to see how my training has been going," Sephiroth said as he stepped forward.
"Fine. But I get the next wave!" the Emperor yelled to him as he stepped back.
(Battle Music-Natsu vs. Dyst-Fairy Tail: The Phoenix Priestess)
Sephiroth vanished in a storm of black feathers and appeared behind ten robots with the Masamune in his outstretched hand. The machines were cut into pieces as soon as he reappeared, and he then raced off towards the other machines as they slowly advanced towards him. The One Winged Angel used his sword as a lance and impaled it into three robots before he pulled it out and watched them explode.
"Vanish," Sephiroth said as he flapped his wing and rose in the air. He then dove towards a robot that was larger than the rest of the machines, and was holding a large hammer. He dodged the hammer swing and cut the robots head off before diving into a large group of robots and slicing them in half.
Sephiroth then glanced to his left and saw that a small group of robots were wielding swords and shields. The Dark Angel chuckled and slowly walked towards them while they charged towards him. He humored himself by matching them blow for blow before he sliced them in half.
"Pathetic, Shinra made better machines than these," Sephiroth muttered as he continuously cut through robots with ease. He quickly moved to the side to avoid a bullet that was aimed at his head. The One Winged Angel turned and saw that several robots were holding either guns or rocket launchers.
"Well well, this might be interesting." Sephiroth then darted towards the robots, leaving afterimages in his wake. The robots, who were stupidly firing at the afterimages, didn't notice that Sephiroth had already sliced them in half until he snapped his fingers, turning the robots into scrap metal.
"Meteor." Sephiroth, deciding to finish this, summoned a swarm of meteors from the sky to bombard the remaining machines. All of them were crushed by the overpowering gavity powered rocks from the stars. He then walked back towards the Emperor who was clapping at the display.
(Music End)
"You've improved from the last time we met," the Emperor said as he clapped his hands.
"There is always more room for improvement," Sephiroth said as he dismissed Masamune.
The Emperor nodded and said, "Spoken like a true warrior. No matter how strong you are, if you stop training your body to get stronger, you will die. Many warriors have fallen from overconfidence, thinking that they are the best in the world."
Sephiroth just nodded and said, "I have seen it happen countless times."
The Emperor then walked past him and said, "Now it is my turn. And to challenge myself, I won't use any of my swords." He then walked to meet the next wave of robots that had appeared. Sephiroth just jumped on top of a nearby building and observed.
(Battle Music-Akatsuki Theme 1-Naruto Shippuden)
"Now I think it's time I cut loose," the Emperor said as he held out his hand and summoned a large scythe. It was made of bones with cracked bones making the large handle. It had a large skull that had the blade coming out of the back of it. On top of the blade was bones that made it look like a wing. (It's like The Harvester from Darksiders).
"Impossible..." Sephiroth whispered as he saw the scythe, his eyes slightly widened.
"Now let's play," The Emperor said as his voice became more demonic, and his wings erupted from his back and he darted towards the army of robots. Several of them began to fire bullets at the Emperor, but he flew right through them and sliced through ten of the robots without stopping his momentum. He then stuck the blade inside the chest of a hammer wielding robot and sliced its upper body in half.
"Come on! Fight harder!" The Emperor was dancing around the small army with ease, not stopping his arm movements as the scythe sliced through machine after machine. He eventually came upon a larger robot that had some golden armor and held a larger hammer.
"Oh boy! A new toy! Let's see how long it takes to break." He then held his scythe at his side and charged it with dark energy. He swung it at the robot and sliced off one of its arms with a downward swipe as a shadowy aura followed the scythes path. The Emperor then turned the scythe and cut off its other arm at the elbow with a diagonal slice. He then roared and sliced the robot in half, observing the wreck that was before him.
The Emperor turned around and dashed towards another group of robots, cutting through them with ease. His scythe then ended up stuck in one machines armor and he couldn't get it out. The Emperor grunted and released the scythe and made a run for the surrounding robots, punching and kicking them out of the way.
"Let's see if I can do it," he said as he held his hand out towards several robots. Out of the ground came a shadowy glob that tried to form a hand, but was unable to and sunk back into the earth.
"Tch, I still can't get it," The Emperor grunted as he jumped back to his scythe and ripped it out of the robot before dashing towards another hammer robot and slicing it to ribbons. He then jumped into the air and landed in the center of the robot army.
"Dark Cyclone Slicer!" The Emperor shouted as he grabbed his scythe with both hands and swung it in a circle, creating a massive gust of wind that sucked up all the robots. They were all sliced to pieces within the cyclone as it tore through the metal armor of the robots. When the dust kicked up from the cyclone disappeared, the Emperor was standing in a field of scrap metal with his arms outstretched and his scythe in one of them.
"A glorious massacre if I do say so myself," he said as he dismissed his scythe and walked out of the field and towards where Sephiroth was.
(Music End)
"I thought that scythe looked familiar," Sephiroth said as he jumped down to meet the Emperor.
"Oh? And where have you seen it before?" the Emperor asked.
"You're The Shadow Reaper, you were a mysterious man in my world," Sephiroth began, "You defended those who were weak and killed the evil men in the world."
The Emperor chuckled and said, "The Shadow Reaper, it's been a long time since I've heard that one."
"There was only one survivor of your wrath however," Sephiroth informed him, causing the Emperor to sulk.
"There goes my perfect record," the Emperor murmured as he sighed. "So what happened to him?"
"Reports say that he turned into a vegetable," Sephiroth said.
"EEEHHH?! A vegetable!? Oh no, what if he was that carrot I ate the other day? I knew that it tasted funny, but I just thought it was the soup that I dipped it in. Oh no, what have I done?! I'VE BECOME A CANNIBAL!" the Emperor panicked, causing Sephiroth to sweatdrop. Yes, it's true. Sephiroth sweatdropped.
"He didn't turn into a food, he went into a vegetative state," Sephiroth explained.
"Thank goodness, I though that I became a monster," the Emperor sighed. Sephiroth looked at him and wondered what it would have been like if he had emotions like that. Sephiroth shook his head to get rid of those thoughts, it was impossible for him to have emotions, right?
(With Sora and Friends)
Sora was trying to break the sphere that contained the group of children with his Keyblade. He was able to make a dent, but it seemed that it was going to be a long time before it broke.
"Fira!" Sora shouted, deciding to use magic to free the kids from the sphere. The ball of fire made contact with the sphere and bounced off. Sora's eyes widened and he dived out of the way and watched as the spell went towards Shin, who was falling asleep on his feet. The spell hit him in the abdomen, effectively waking him up, and launching him towards Aqua, who failed to move out of the way. The two of them tumbled for a minute before they stopped. Aqua slowly got up and noticed that Shin was underneath her, with his face against her...do I even need to say it? I'm pretty sure you guys know what I'm talking about.
Aqua blushed a bright red and jumped off of him. She noticed that Shin's eyes were wide, and that there was a trail of blood running from his nose. She grew a tick mark on her head and kicked him, sending Shin flying towards a tree, where he slumped against the ground. Terra rushed over to help him.
"Why me?" Shin moaned.
"So...soft..." Shinryu mumbled as he gave a perverted giggle.
"What is this thing made of?" Sora asked as he tried to rest from the effort he gave.
"Let me try," Roxas said as he approached the sphere. He walked up to where the sphere was previously attatched to the Egg Dargoon and observed the severed machinery. He summoned the Oathkeeper and aimed it at the wires.
"Thunder," Roxas said, sending a small surge of electricity through the machine and a small door opened up, letting the kids out.
Sora's mouth was agape as he tried to process how easy Roxas made it look while he just wacked at it. Roxas chuckled and knocked Sora's head, waking him up from his stupor.
"What is wrong with me?" Sora asked.
"Simple, you lived on an island where there was limited technology. I lived in a place where technology was as common as rain," Roxas explained. When he went to pat Sora on the back, he hit nothing and looked to see Sora crouched down facing the tree with a cloud of depression over his head.
"I'm pathetic..." Sora moaned. Roxas sweatdropped and felt a tug on his jacket. He looked and saw that one of the kids was trying to get his attention.
"Thank you for saving us sir," one of the boys said.
"No problem, now I believe introductions are in order, so who are you guys?" Roxas asked.
"My name's Chris Thorndyke," said the first boy. He looked around 12 years old and had reddish hair that was similar to Sora's, except not as spikey. He wore a black shirt underneath a red and white shirt. He wore blue jeans with blue and yellow shoes on his feet.
"I'm Danny," the other boy said. He was dark skinned and wore a black shirt with a green jacket over it. He had light blue jeans and red shoes.
"I'm Frances," said the girl who wasn't in the wheelchair. She had reddish hair like Chris', but it wasn't spikey. She was wearing red overalls with a blue shirt underneath it. She had armbands on her wrists and had red shoes.
"Hello, My name is Helen," said the girl in the wheelchair. She had blonde hair that went to her shoulders. She wore a white blouse with a green bow under a pink vest. She had a pink skirt that went down to her knees and white shoes.
"Nice to meet you all, I'm Roxas, and the depressed kid over there is Sora," Roxas said, jerking his thumb at the still sad Sora.
"I'm Aqua, nice to meet you," the bluenette said as she stepped forward.
Terra then stepped forward while helping Shin, who was holding his side, "My name is Terra, and this is Shin."
"Pain...so much pain..." Shin groaned as he cast Cure on himself repeatedly.
"But it was worth it," Shinryu said. Aqua grew THREE tick marks on her head. Shin flew behind Terra while cursing the ancient dragon for his perverted antics.
"Looks like Sonic wasn't fast enough this time," Danny said, getting everyones attention.
"You dummy, Sonic and Tails went to the moon to look for a Chaos Emerald," Frances said, lightly whacking the dark haired boy on the head.
"Yeah, they said they should be back by tonight," Chris chimed. Shin put a hand to his chin in thought.
'Sonic, where have I heard that name before?' he thought.
"It sounds familiar," Shinryu mumbled.
"Who's Sonic?" Sora asked as he overcame his small depression. Once those words left his mouth, the four kids looked at him like he just grew five heads.
"You never heard of Sonic the Hedgehog?" Chris asked.
"We're not from around here," Aqua said.
Danny let out a sigh of relief and said, "Good, I was afraid that you were all living under a rock for the past year."
"Why would you think that?" Terra asked.
"Because he's a famous hero," Helen said.
Shin then snapped his fingers in relization, "Now I remember! Metal told us about Sonic when we were at the Coliseum."
"Oh yeah! I wonder if he'd come back while we're here?" Sora said.
"He was strong, I still feel the tingling of his electric attacks," Roxas said as he rubbed his arms.
"Anyways, what do we do now? We need a place to stay until the Seekers arrive," Aqua said.
"You can stay at my house, I've got plenty of room," Chris said.
"Are you sure? We wouldn't want to bother you," Terra said.
Danny chuckled and said, "Oh don't worry, Chris can fit all of you in his house."
Sora then pointed a finger at Chris and said, "He's going to have half of us sleep on the couch!"
Frances then whispered to Chris, "They'll be surprised when they see your house."
Chris giggled and said, "I'll take a picture."
"Well, I guess we can stay for one night, as long as those two get their own room." Roxas said, pointing at Shin and Terra.
"Why?" Helen asked.
"Trust me, you don't want to know," Roxas told the girl, making her and the other kids wonder what Roxas was talking about.
"Well, we gotta go home, see you guys later," Danny said as he and Frances ran off.
"See ya!" Chris yelled as he waved to them. He grabbed Helen's wheelchair and led Sora and the others out of the park.
"So do you two live together?" Sora asked.
"Nah, Helen's parents had to leave town for a while for their jobs, so she's been staying at my place," Chris explained.
"You two seem like close friends," Aqua said.
"Well we've known each other for a long time, so we kinda are," Helen said, blushing a little. Shin caught her blush and inwardly smirked, knowing what the Princess of Heart was feeling. Eventually they reached a parking lot where they saw a tall skinny man in a tuxedo next to a red car.
"Master Chris, Miss Helen, are you ready to go home now?" the man asked.
"Yeah, but..." Chris trailed off as he looked at Sora and his friends.
"Oh, are your new friends coming home?" the man asked.
"Don't worry about us, we have our own transportation," Roxas said as Sora summoned the Gummi Ship. The two kids and the man stared in awe of the spaceship.
"Wow! Can we go on it?" Helen asked.
"Yeah, can we Mr. Tanaka?" Chris asked the man in the suit.
"As long as you do not cause any problems for them, then it is fine," Mr. Tanaka said. The kids thanked him and followed Aqua as she led them onto the Gummi Ship. Mr. Tanaka then got into the car and drove off to lead the Gummi Ship back to the house.
(To A Calm Emperor)
"I swear, if there's one more wave of these pathetic machines, I'm going to destroy their creator, and then I'm going to send him to the deepest pits of Hell where he'll be-"
"I think we get the idea," Sephiroth said as he pulled a screw out of his hair.
The Emperor took several deep breaths and calmed down. "Now I know how my enemies felt when I had the robot troops swarm their bases, irritated."
"All I have to say, is that their creator has, or had, a lot of spare parts laying around." True to Sephiroth's words, the two dark figures were standing in the middle of the new junkyard. It was filled with junk ranging from robot heads to wires, and the odd spiked hammer here and there.
"Let's look on the bright side, now we have enough metal needed for my robot troops!" the Emperor said as he looked at the vast metal land.
"And just how are you going to transport it to your world?" Sephiroth asked. The Emperor said nothing as he snapped his fingers and summoned several blue-eyed Heartless, mainly Large Bodies and Fat Bandits. They started to pick up the junk and take it into a portal.
"Ah the many uses of the Heartless, they're not just for destruction you know," the Emperor said as he sat down on a piece of rubble and relaxed. Sephiroth was about to say something when the Emperor was then wacked in the back of the head by a giant hammer. The Dark Angel turned and saw that a Large Body was walking around aimlessly while carrying a large hammer.
"Oi! Idiot! The portal's that way!" the Emperor said as he directed the confused Heartless towards the portal. The Large Body then turned around and whacked the Emperor in the face with the hammer as he walked to the portal. The Emperor landed in front of Sephiroth and the Angel had an amused look on his face.
"Not. A. Word." the Emperor growled as he glared at Sephiroth.
What a rush, I'm surprised that I finished this in time. I am really liking the way this story is turning out. With all of my new fans, I was afraid that there wouldn't be any hope for this. I thank you all for your support and suggestions on what to do.

Why? Why are you against my choice of characters? What hatred do you have against Terra Branford? Is it because you had a hard time while playing FFVI? My choice of characters is my own. I have carefully picked them long before I even posted the first chapter, thinking about how they would affect the story. I would not have cared if didn't even say anything at all. But your words have caused me to remove your review. Good day to you sir.
Please review, and make them nicer that that guy's was if you saw it before I removed it.
