Hey y'all, it's Ender! I hope you're having a great day and I hope to make it even better with this last chapter! NOTE: I do not own Minecraft or any YouTubers mentioned, and really, I don't own anything except this story.

Chapter 25

Seto swallowed, wondering if the spell would work after its receiver had already died. The others hadn't seen him muttering the regeneration spell. He doubted that they would even know it was him after all this was over. But it didn't matter. All that mattered was keeping Richard – or User – whoever he was, alive.

Seto breathed a shaky sigh of relief, unheard as the other's cries of shock rang out when Richard drew in an unsteady breath. Though scarlet blood still coated his shirt, Seto suspected that the gaping hole under it had healed over, leaving nothing but red-smudged skin.

"Give him some space," Seto ordered forcefully as Taylor and Jordan tried to press forward, probably with the intent to make sure Richard was actually alright. "Dragons… I guess you can transform back since we know who you really are now."

With a grudging sigh from both Killer and Brute, they shifted into Tom and Phil respectively. Tom looked apologetic while Phil looked nothing less than irritated – although both had traces of relief on their faces as they gazed at Richard.

"Wh-" Seto shook his head as Richard's unfocused eyes met his and the wizard tried to ask some question or another. Talking wasn't good for regaining strength. He needed to say little and move even less, at least for now.

"From now, avoid spears," Seto reprimanded firmly, although he knew that Richard could see the tears in the corners of his eyes. "And don't do that again."

Richard smiled a little bit before closing his eyes again, this time breathing strongly and steadily. Tom chuckled quietly, as though releasing the stress that had been placed on his shoulders during the battle, and Jordan practically melted with relief.

It was over.

It was finally over.

Everyone was safe. Everyone was alive.

Weren't they?

Seto blinked and gave a quick glance around the battlefield. He saw three distant shapes huddled together – presumably James, Matt, and that new dragon that had shown up, judging by their shapes. Seto could hear a low keening sound on the air but didn't pay much mind to it, assuming that it was just the split earth creaking.

Rain started to fall.

It was cool and hissed pleasantly on the lava. Seto lifted his face to the rain and let it wash away the streaks of blood on his face and clean the cut over his eye. A zombie's sword had grazed him earlier, but it was shallow and wouldn't need much medical attention.

But Seto wondered… what had happened to Jord? The wizard was nowhere to be seen and seemed to have disappeared even before the battle started. There was no sign of his dragon form anywhere and frankly, Seto was worried. After all, it had been Jord who had taught him how to use and control his magic.

"Has anyone seen Jord?" Taylor brought up the question that was floating in Seto's mind. Richard's eyes flashed with panic and appeared to attempt to get to his feet. Seto frowned and knelt next to the wizard, gently pushing him back to the ground. Richard glared at him but the anger was lost in the lakes of worry that drowned his face.

"I'll check," Phil's gaze darkened and Seto couldn't miss the subtle tremour in his voice. As harsh and as cold as Phil tried to be, there were still emotions under his thick shell. He was still worried about his friend – as worried as Richard even.

"So what are you going to do now that you know that we were the dragons?" Tom asked tentatively, after Phil walked off. "Do you think what we wanted you to believe was just a heartless lie?"

"Not at all," Seto said evenly, keeping his gaze steady as he stared at Tom. He could see the worry in the diamond wizard's eyes. "I had suspicions. Jord was a big giveaway – what with his twisted hand, paw, whatever the hell you want to call it anymore."

Richard gave a small grin but his eyes were still shadowed with fear. He gingerly rubbed his chest and winced, drawing his hand away. It was now smudged with drops of blood from his still-bloody shirt.

"Oh!" Taylor suddenly exclaimed, snapping his fingers as though he had an enlightening revelation. "When we were first in Talon Hollow, I stayed in Phil's house, remember? And I saw a green feather floating through the air. It never clicked and I never thought more of it… but that's because as a dragon, Phil has feathers, right?" Taylor smiled triumphantly at Tom, who shrugged apologetically with a half-grin on his face.

"Don't tell him that, or he may bite your face off," Tom hesitated for a second, then added, "In human form."

Jordan chuckled and Seto blinked, feeling tears sting his eyes again. What would they do now – now that this was over? He had grown used to the strain of always being alert and relaxing felt unthinkable. He was sure that they had all been changed by this experience but…

All of a sudden, Phil ran up, his face pale. Matt followed more slowly, holding his helmet under his arm. Without it, Seto could see that the wizard had light ginger hair and like Phil, was ghostly pale. Fear suddenly rooted deep into Seto's stomach as Matt took a deep breath, golden eyes welling up with tears.

"Jord is missing," Matt swallowed. "And James is dead."

Who's ready for the sequel?! UPDATE FROM THE FUTURE: The sequel can be found on my Wattpad, still as Magic, only by 'Shadows-in-Moonlight' instead. Sorry, but there was really no purpose towards me keeping it on FF.

Random Observation: This chapter got finished at 10:45 at night, and I had testing the next morning. Yay for sleep deprived-ness!

DiamondOasis37: So... what are you going to do now that Twisty's gone?

SoulErrorArwitch: Mourn not for Richard... for there was a sorcerer to help him. But instead mourn for James, who was struck down... by a traitor.

Phoenix-Magic: But thank Notch for plot twists... right?! No... probably not.
