MERRY CHRISTMAS! Yippee! Now this is my Christmas gift to you! If you don't celebrate Christmas well consider this is a very early or late birthday present!
So this is a very special chapter in my opinion so let's begin!
…
Max's POV
"We need to talk" I told him.
He only nodded. To be honest, I had no idea what to say. Yesterday we had almost kissed and this morning we made out. I don't think it's normal to just randomly kiss your friends.
"I know it's not" Fang mumbled.
Did I say that out loud? I let out a big sigh. The throbbing headache I have isn't helping either. The bell ran signaling that class has started but Fang and I didn't budge and we stayed in an awkward silence.
Fang suddenly became interested at his shoes while I fiddled with my fingers.
"Fang?" I asked not looking up.
"Yes?" He said, his voice filled with anxiousness.
"What do we do?" I asked.
He sighed. "Max, I'm not going to deny it anymore. I really like you. You're different from all the other girls. You're sarcastic, spunky, independent, yet you want someone to be there for you. You're selfless, and you put others in front of you. You could care less what people think of you. And yet you have your weaknesses. How does that song go? The one that says you don't know you're beautiful. Well, that's how it is. You say you're not beautiful but you are. You're gorgeous inside and out. And the last few months that I've known you have definitely been the best few months I've had in a really, really, really, long time. I don't want to do anything that will ruin our friendship." He finished.
I looked up at him, my eyes filled with shock. I was speechless. How was I supposed to react? Only one guy before has told me I was beautiful, that I was perfect how I was. But when Fang said it, it was different. I believed him. At the moment, I could care less what's going on because at this very moment, I wanted him.
I threw my arms around his neck and kissed him. I didn't care of the consequences. With Fang, I could be happy, sad, angry, and myself, and he would stick right by my side. I felt safe with him and it felt so right.
When we pulled away to catch some air, my arms still around his neck and his hands still on my waist, I couldn't stop the smile that formed on my lips.
"You know, friends don't kiss." Fang said once he caught his breath.
I laid my head on his chest and he laid his chin on top of my head. I breathed in his scent. The vanilla aroma dancing through my nose.
"You know what, I don't care." I told him truthfully.
"You know Fang." I started.
"Yes?"
"I really like you too. You're mysterious, yet it suits you. You've been nothing but there for me, that's something I could never repair for. And you've opened yourself of to me on your own record. You haven't run away yet and I don't know, you're just so unique. I can't go on how gorgeous you are now but you are pretty fabulous if I say so myself." I said.
Fang chuckled. A comfortable silence came down between us to only be broken by Fang.
"What do we do now?" He asked, his voice muffled by my hair.
"We could give it a try, I mean if you want to." I suggested.
"I would love to" He said which only made me hug him tighter.
"I'll take you out tonight." He said.
"As a date?" I asked, hopeful.
"As a date!" He confirmed. If it was possible, the smile on my face only grew.
…
This is a very short yet sweet chapter in my opinion. So they're not officially dating but they're going on a date! Yay!
Question of the Chapter: Where should Fang take Max on their date?
I really want to know. I have absolutely no idea.
