Chapter 25: They promised

Apartment

Beth's POV

"What do you mean? They were there!" I argued, practically yelling. "You could have let them."

Mich wasn't paying attention. She was staring at the floor. "We know that! We can't just let them visit us. Look what they did on Mich?!" Haley yelled back.

Haley and I were staring at each other. Our faces were closer, her fiery red eyes flared. "Stop it!" Cornelia snapped. "This isn't gonna work if were all fighting!"

We all stopped. This always happens when were fighting. Since Cornelia is good in convincing other people, we listen to her. But that doesn't mean she's the meanest of all of us. We just respect her that's all.

"First things first, Mich." She looked at Mich, but she did not look back. "What did Raph do to you? If you won't tell, it's not gonna solve anything."

We sat down. Gladly, Mich suppressed a good smile. "Technically, they did it. Not Raph. Remember the dates?" We nod.

Mich continues, "Well, Raph brought me to a wrestling tournament, which I think it's pretty cool and awesome. But I heard them, so I eavesdrop. Donnie was mocking me because they think I'm an idiot who fall for someone who is tough."

I gave her a confusing look, "Wait. That's it? Just a misunderstanding? This is nonsense." I stumped on the ground. "This is totally pointless. We ignored them for that? Give me a break."

There was a silence. Haley was thinking but she spoke first, "But it's not that pointless. You see, Mich wants them to be responsible on what to say. Right Mich?"

She smiled a little bit, "Ye-ah. That's it. We can't just let them say those things on us. They can't judge us."

"I still don't get it. It's just a big misunderstanding. Why do we have to ignored them?" I asked. I looked at Cornelia, maybe she can support me.

Cornelia was still confused, by the look on her face. She totally is. "We owe them an apology."

"What?" I was shocked. "You're joking right?"

She gave me that serious look, "No I'm not. C'mon girls, let's apologize to them." She waited outside while the three of us, were covered with confusion and some of us are speechless.
