Me: After spending a lot of time putting this aside, mostly because I was thinking about how to approach this, I'm finally doing the chapter that's in Drake's POV. I was trying to approach this because I'm not very good at expression the personality of a character I don't know well, like Drake. But that's just in my opinion, and I figured that if I was going to find out if that was wrong, it might as well be now or never.
Gretel: Finally! I want the world to see that Drake isn't bad.
Hansel: She's really nice, once you get to know her.
Me: Yeah, it's actually because of these two that I'm working on this now. Anyways, I think I got a basic idea. But I'm also going to change my plans up a bit. Not only is this in Drake's POV, but it's also in Gretel and Hansel's POV, in that exact order!
Gretel: YAY!
Hansel: Finally, the people get to see things work out from our perspective… and all the misadventures we get ourselves into.
Me: Anyways, if one of you two don't mind, you can do the disclaimer.
Gretel and Hansel: li43101 doesn't own anything except herself, her OC's, and the mansion that this story takes place in, along with her idea to do this. Everything and everyone else belong to their respective owners.
Drake's POV
I gave up yelling at Kaito about how South gets him and I don't about two hours ago. It seems kind of pointless now. He's almost worse than Luka when it comes to stubbornness. As I was walking around the mansion, trying to figure out how to go about doing this, when a door opened up behind me. I ignored whoever it was, I was in the middle of thinking and-
"Hello!" I stopped. Two voices, ones that sound like younger versions of Rin and Len, spoke from behind me. I turned around, my metallic green hair whipping as I did so. Standing behind me were… 6 year olds? What the h*ll? They look like twins. And they looked exactly alike Rin and Len in terms of facial looks. The boy had the same blonde hair that's in a ponytail as Len, and the one that looked like Rin had the same shoulder-length blonde hair. They both had blue eyes. They both wore a white shirt, white socks, and black shoes. The boy had a yellow tie and black pants, while the girl had a yellow ribbon wrapped around the collar of her shirt and a black skirt. The girl also had a white bow on a white headband. I was confused upon seeing these lookalikes (I guess that's the word), and simply blinked in confusion.
"Um, hello?" I asked. They both were smiling angelically at me.
"I'm Gretel," The girl said.
"And I'm Hansel," The boy said. The boy (Hansel) then bowed slightly while the girl (Gretel) grabbed the ends of her dressed and curtseyed.
"We are pleased to meet you!" They both said in unison.
… I'm not sure what to do in this situation. Respond? Ignore them? Glomp them to death?
"… Um… I'm Dracobella Micano, but call me Drake," I said.
"Ah… We heard about you!" Gretel said cheerfully.
"You did?" I asked.
"From Ms. Kayo!" Hansel responded. I grimaced.
"Oh… her…" I said in distaste. Great, Luka-san probably told them that I was a horrible person, or something like that. That b-
"She said that you were a really nice person! Even though you practically hate her and Riliane, she says that deep down, she knows you're a really nice person!" My thought process was interrupted by Gretel, causing me to blink in surprise.
"W-What?" I asked in shock and disbelief.
"Even though she doesn't show it, Ms. Kayo actually holds a lot of respect of you. She knows that you have random flashbacks and that your eyes shrink and that you get a massive headache. She says that you hold up well even with all of that and the crap that people give you very well," Hansel said.
"I… I never knew that…" I wasn't sure how to react. Luka-san… actually cares about me?
"She also said something about, 'I'll help her get a boy if she wants, she just needs to give me the word,' or something like that. I'm not too sure. We were too busy eating the cookies that Mistress Conchita gave us," Gretel said. I blinked. L-Luka-san can help me get a boyfriend?!
"I see… I actually need to talk to Luka. Do you know where she is?" I asked.
"She's in the library room from what I heard," Hansel answered. Great, she's in the one place in this building that I don't really remember where it is.
"Um… I don't know where that is… Can you two please show me the way?" I asked.
"Sure!" Gretel answered. Gretel grabbed my left and, Hansel grabbing my right, and they both gently pulled me forward. I'm still unsure about what to think of these two. I mean, they are adorable, but this is the first that I'm seeing them. Just who are they?
After turning two corners, we eventually stopped at a door. The two left, telling me that if I ever wanted to talk to them, to find them two doors to the right of Conchita's if you were facing the hallway from her doorway. With that, they left. Cautiously looking at the door, I eventually grasped the handle and turned it. When I opened it, I was not expecting the sight I saw.
Sitting in a chair facing the door at the far end of the room right next to a table was Luka-san. There were two cups on saucers, along with a teapot. There was also a cup with sugar in it, and a small spoon in it as well. Luka-san was reading a book, her eyes glazing over it at a leisure pace. She never looked up, not even when I turned around and closed the door.
"I was expecting you Drake. Would you like some tea?" I jumped at the sound of her voice and turned around. She was looking up at me, her eyes telling me that she knew I had entered the room and that she was just simply waiting until the door was closed to speak. I looked at the tea pot with some caution.
"Um… Sure?" I hesitated, but soon walked over and found myself sitting at a small table in the library across from Luka-san, who had closed the book and set it aside on the table. She stood up and gently poured tea into the cup closest to me, and then the other one.
"Do you usually take tea with sugar?" Luka-san asked. I shook my head, and she responded, "That's fine. Everyone has their own preferences. I honestly like my tea with sugar." She grabbed the saucer and the handle of the cup, held it up, and took a sip of the tea. Hesitantly, I did the same. Wow, this tea is actually quite good! Did she make it herself?
"So… Why are you being so kind to me? I mean, I've been so mean to you and all…" I asked, wanting to know the answer from Luka-san herself. She took a quick sip before lowering the saucer and cup.
"Drake, you may be mean to me, but there are people that are meaner to me than you. H*ll, I'm more mean to myself than you are to me, and trust me that happens more often than one would think. Besides, not only have you been reborn like us, but you're a Vocaloid like us. We're all got into this huge chaotic mess together, and we're all eventually leave this huge chaotic mess together… Besides, I know how it feels to hate someone for no good reasons," Luka-san answered.
I… I never knew… This has to be the nicest thing Luka-san has ever said to me… She's not that bad… Actually, now that I think about it, why did I hate her in the first place? Oh, that doesn't matter right now. I have a question for her right now.
"So… Hansel and Gretel told me that you can help me get a boyfriend, basically…" I said before taking a sip of the tea. Luka-san nodded.
"Well, you already know that Gallerian has chosen Agent South Dakota as his girlfriend… How about Prussia?" She asked. I blinked. I mean, I do like Prussia, but…
"Doesn't he have a thing for Miku?" I asked. Luka-san chuckled to herself.
"That was just a front. In reality, Prussia was doing that in order to annoy her. Something about her reactions remind him of Hungary's or something. Anyways, he's yours to freely flirt with and to freely make out with," She bluntly said. I almost blushed at that, but I kept my composure.
~ Five days later… ~
After I finished my tea, Luka-san excused me from our… 'Chat' I guess? Anyways, when I had left, I'd gone to my room and thought things over for the next few days. More specifically, how am I going to reveal my feelings that have grown over the past few days to Prussia? A thought came to my mind that caused me to sit up straight in my bed. Luka-san told me that we were going to have a ball of sorts soon, and that it would be the perfect time to try to get my feelings for Prussia out. Quickly, I got out and headed towards Hansel and Gretel's room. When I got in however, I found myself gaping at the room.
The room was as big as the living room, which is huge! The walls were unpainted, but the floor had an orange colored rug. There were two X-box's (two of both One and 360), two Wii's systems with four controllers (two black, two white), two of each PlayStation model, you name it, they have it! They even have a 60-inch TV in their! Their bed was a bunk bed, and honestly they looked so similar that I can't tell which ones Gretel's and which one's Hansel's. Speaking of those two, they were sitting at a kotatsu (where on earth did they get that from?! I've never seen one here before, and Miku certainly never talked about there being one here), their attention now towards me.
"Oh, hello Drake!" Gretel said happily, a smile appearing on her mouth.
"Do you need us to do something? Because we would be happy to do anything, just as long as it doesn't involve killing Mistress Conchita," Hansel said. Wait, is he saying that the killing of Meiko's off limits, but they don't care if they kill anyone else?!
"Um, I do need help, but it doesn't involve death! I was wondering if you two can help me with something," I explained.
"Oh, what is it?" Gretel asked.
"Well…"
~ Two days later… ~
"How do I look?" I asked Gretel outside of the ballroom hall. To most, I was wearing my regular clothes and accessories, but thanks to Hansel and Gretel, I made it so that only those two and Prussia see that what I'm actually wearing is a beautiful green, spaghetti strapped dress. Gretel and Hansel helped me get it. Gretel took my measurements (I don't know when she did, and I don't think I want to know) and she found a dress fitting those measurements, and apparently Hansel managed to scare the owner of the dress FedEx enough to make the buying and shipping of it free.
"You look amazing Drake-san! Anyways, I got to go check the other girls. I'll see you later Drake-san!" Gretel said cheerfully before turning around and heading towards… South's room, I think? I don't remember. Anyways, I turned towards the door and took a deep breath. Here goes nothing. I opened the door and walked in. The guys were all in tuxedos, excluding Russia. Hansel was waiting for me.
"Hello Ms. Drake. Shall I escort you to your date?" He asked, bowing politely. I blushed, but I managed to nod nonetheless. He then guided me over to where the Prussian was, which was over by the punch table.
Third Person POV
When Gretel entered the ballroom with the rest of the girls, she smiled when she looked over and saw that Drake was laughing and smiling with Prussia. She did not look worried or nervous in anyway. Gretel was honestly happy for her. After everything she's been through, she deserves this. Hansel approached her and the two of them sat down on brown, wooden, cushioned chairs.
"Should we tell her that Kayo-san actually never told us anything about how she felt about Drake, and that we just guessed it all, and that Kayo-san was the one who made her dress?" Hansel asked his twin sister.
"… Nah. She won't find out until the 25th chapter of Units and Vocaloids Don't Mix, Even in Other POV's. I think that, for now, we should just let her enjoy the moment. Besides, she's probably shouldn't find out that the chapter went into third person abruptly because, as Li said, she doesn't know how to do characters she doesn't know very well. Besides, Li never said that this last chapter was going to be a long one or a short one {1}," Gretel answered.
"… Yeah, you're right. Besides, it's probably best until she reads this chapter to find out that the magic we used to make it so that only Prussia and we can see what she's really wearing is actually magic we got from releasing the Seven Deadly Sins," Hansel said. He noticed something and pointed it out to Gretel. It was Allen, and he was standing near them. He didn't appear to have heard any part of their conversation. Then again, they were speaking rather quietly. Gretel and Hansel looked at each other and both nodded.
"This is turning out perfectly," Gretel said cheerfully.
"I agree with you Onee-chan {2}! This is the best night ever…" Hansel started to say before he and Gretel looked at Allen. The older blonde sighed, but smiled.
"Of all time," Allen said. They all laughed at this. This truly was the greatest night ever, of all time… as of right now.
{1} What? I never said any of that. I just said that I was going to make a chapter in your POV Drake. Besides, I really don't know how to express your personality very well! I feel slightly awkward doing, I don't know why! I wanted to stop feeling awkward and not be so nervous so I ended your POV for the chapter like that, I'm sorry if this upsets, I'M ONLY HUMAN! ... Okay, I'm good.
{2} Big sister
Me: Well, that was a lot of fun… I'm going to miss this story.
Hansel: I think you need a break from Vocaloid for a while Ms. Li.
Gretel: Yeah, you stress yourself over this sometimes. It's not good for your health.
Me: … Yeah, you're right. And, to be fair, I wrote literally 4/6 of this chapter yesterday. I do need a break. Hansel and Gretel, if you want to, you can take it away.
Hansel: Thank you all for reading!
Gretel: And thank you all for sticking around for so long! Please review!
