Chapter 25
Last time on; Was it Fate or Destiny?;
After that she gave Sting a kiss straight on the lips but it was more of a peck. Rogue started shocked and Loke just smiled and rolled his eyes. There was still so much that Rogue didn't know but that was ok. It's Sting choice after all.
"Welcome home Sting-Kun." Meredy spoke
"I'm glad to be home." Sting told her
"What the fuck was that?" Rogue asked looking between Meredy and Sting
Loke moved towards a table at the side next to the door and poured out some water while rolling his eyes at what Meredy and Sting had just done. Meredy just dragged Sting past Rogue and onto the sofa at the foot of Loke's bed. Rogue followed them with his eyes still not moving from his spot. Loke carried the tray of water towards the small table that was in front of the sofa and set it down before sitting on the floor at Meredy's feet.
"Is anyone going to answer my damn question?" Rogue asked yet another question
"Just come sit with us." Sting told him
Rogue huffed and joined Loke on the floor next to Sting. Still wanting his question to be answered and felt a bit annoyed that everyone seemed to be ignoring him.
Meredy got a glass of water and drank half of it before passing it to Sting who finished it. Loke rolled his eyes at this and paid attention to Rogue's facial expression because it was something he had never seen before and he saw Sting and Meredy act like this all the time.
"Just answer the poor guy's question." Loke told Sting taking a sip of his water
"I want to know who he is." Meredy said looking at Rogue carefully observing him
Sting was smiling and Rogue was freaked out with the way she was staring and since she was kinda leaning on Sting's lap he could see a bit of her cleavage. Meredy finally stop staring and had her elbows on Sting's lap with her head on her hands looking up at Sting now.
"Where did you get him?" She asked
"I'm not a dog." Rogue snapped at her
"He's my best friend." Sting told her
"He seems nice." Meredy commented before changing her position to having her head on Sting's lap facing upwards and laying on her back, with her feet hanging off the side of the sofa
Rogue reached for a glass trying to be patient and wait for Sting to explain who the pink haired girl was who practically all over him. Loke just wished he dad wouldn't come back home now and find them.
"I'm Sting's big sister." Meredy said playing with Sting's hands
"You look nothing a like." Rogue said
Does she think I'm stupid or something? Rogue thought
"Their relationship is more like they wish they were related because they seem related in the way they act towards each other." Loke explained
"It's a long story." Sting told him
"Everything is a long story with you." Rogue commented
You have no fucking clue. Loke thought
"Sting?" Meredy said
"Yeah?"
"Isn't today the day?" She asked looking at him
"Yeah."
"You know you don't have to keep it together." Meredy reminded him
"Yeah."
"So then why do you seem happy?" Meredy asked
Loke studied him now realizing it. Rogue checked his phone for any missed message Levy might have sent and received none. Meredy and Sting kept eye contact while she was trying to read him. Sting knew he couldn't hide anything from Meredy or Loke but he had nothing to hide. He was just happy today of all days and he didn't know why.
"What's up?" Loke asked seeing now that Sting was generally happy
"What changed?" Meredy asked
"I don't know."
"What happened yesterday?" Loke asked
"Oh he went out with Lucy for the whole day." Rogue answered
"Lucy?" Meredy asked looking at Loke then back at Sting
"It's a girl that goes to our school; she doesn't leave Sting a lot." Rogue told her
"She's kinda clingy." Loke mentioned
"She's just going through a hard time with her dad at stuff." Sting said
Meredy nodded taking it all in. Not really caring that much about the said girl and she went back to looking at Sting asking him a question with just her eyes. Their connection was so that amazing that they knew what the other was thinking from their facial expression. So Sting sighed and knew he now had some explaining to do to Loke and Meredy.
"So she came over in the morning," Sting started
{At Lucy's House}
Lucy opened the door and closed it behind her. Rufus was already there getting dressed because the Heartfilia estate was quite far from where they lived. It would take them an hour to get there.
"Lucy, is that you?" Rufus called from up stairs
"Yeah, I'm going to get ready right now. Don't worry." Lucy called back
"I delivered the message you wanted me to give to Sting." Rufus yelled so she could hear him
"Thanks." Lucy said climbing the stairs.
She sighed disappointed that her actions were rushed and she didn't think that by asking Rufus to do that she may have or may have not ruined her chances. Honestly that was all she was thinking about. The only thing stopping her form marching over to Sting's house was the fact that she had to get dressed for the dinner and she also didn't want to seem desperate, even though she was very, very desperate.
"You might want to pack a small bag. I doubt we're coming back before midnight," Rufus told her exiting in a tux with a red bow tie. "Don't wear red by the way. Yukino is wearing red."
"Why? I look amazing in red, meanie." Lucy joked entering her room
"That's what you think," Rufus played along "be ready in 15."
There goes my bubble bath, heck I can't even shower now. Lucy thought walking to her closet. She looked at what she hadn't worn yet. It wasn't like she had a small choice of clothing but what she was thinking of wearing was out of the question now since Sting wasn't coming.
Instead of wearing a cute mid-thigh length pink dress with a medium sized bow at the back she had to find something more formal because that was more formal fun.
"What am I going to do?" Lucy asked herself
Then she received a text. She looked into her bag for her phone and finally found it when the vibrations stopped. It was from Sting.
Hey, Meredy here. I jst like found out who the f*ck u are and I hav to say the story was quite funny. I jst wanted u to know tht Sting-kun isn't really tht interested. Yeah I heard about the kiss nd stuff. – xxx Lov Meredy
Lucy just looked at her screen not knowing how she should react to the text. However she had a feeling that if she ever meet this Meredy girl, she would fucking punch her. No doubt.
Who the fuck does this bitch think she is? What right does she have to tell me all this crap about how Sting feels? Fuck her. Lucy thought while texting back a quick reply

I also think Sting can speak for himself and tht wasn't me, if u knew the story u wld knw that I was in shock from falling of a 6 meter cliff. She hit send and felt better. With a new sense of angry she grabbed a strapless silver mid-thigh length dress (silver at the top but then it flows to black like skirt). It hugged her around her bust and then flowed to mid-thigh. At the back it showed some skin in the shape of a heart. She paired them up with some sliver 4 inch heels. Going to sit on the dressing table she plugged in her hair curler and started to curl her hair happy the she had let it grow over the summer to reach past her shoulders. Then she went to put on some eyeliner, mascara and lip-gloss trying to keep it all natural. She looked at her full length mirror and loved what she saw. She found a small bag to put her lip gloss, phone and tissues. Her phone buzzed again.
I really hav to stop leavin my phone where my friends can reach it. I'm sooo srry abt Meredy. She's really overprotective of me. She calls it lov. – Sting
Who is she?
That's the only thing Lucy could think to ask. She wanted to know why she was overprotective and how she knew Sting and what their relationship was. She felt like a jealous girlfriend but what made the feeling worse was the fact that she wasn't his girlfriend probably wouldn't be.
Sting would be able to answer that if I didn't have his phone and if he weren't fighting with Meredy. She's just his close friend. – Loke :D
This was ridiculous. Lucy sighed in frustration and didn't even bother to reply. She would rather have him answer that to him face to face than over the phone because she doesn't seem to actually be talking to him and more to his friends. At least now she knew that he was chilling with Rogue, Loke and some bitch named Meredy.
Lucy made her way down stairs where Rufus and Yukino were having a very funny conversation because they were both laughing at time. Lucy smiled at least her brother and everyone around her seemed to be having a great relationship.
"You're already ready?" Rufus asked spotting her
"I'm on time." Lucy said
"It took you 30 minutes." Rufus told her
"She curled her hair, that's why." Yukino told him smiling at her
"You both look quite stunning." Rufus said before heading out the door.
It was now 7:00 and the dinner started at 8:00 sharp. They had an hour and he wasn't planning on coming late to the first family dinner after his dad had just gotten out of a comma.
"We can't lose time people. Let's go, let's go." Rufus hurried them along
{Loke's house}
"Seriously why would you send that?" Sting yelled at Meredy who was ignoring him checking out her nails
After Sting had told them the story of yesterday, Meredy wanted to find out more about Lucy after all so she demanded that Sting tell her all about his new school and not leave a detail out. He left Lucy's story out because she trusted him with it and that was the only thing that he didn't tell her.
Loke and Rogue who had already heard and lived the story moved on to playing on Loke's Xbox.
"Ok, look," Meredy said calmly "I'm sorry. It was just impulse and I don't know."
Sting studied her for about a minute before going and looking for his phone that Loke had taken a few seconds after Sting had thrown it on Loke's bed and began yelling at Meredy.
"Give it back." Sting said to Loke
"Hey, I was trying to clear things up for poor Lucy." Loke told him
"I don't care." Sting said getting back his phone
"So are we going to like go anywhere?" Rogue asked getting bored of Loke's room
"I don't know," Loke said "I'm like on house arrest because I left and stuff though my dad's cool with what I want to do now. He's punishing me for leaving like I did."
"He's punishing me too," Meredy said sitting on Loke's bed "I can't do any work and I'm not going to get paid for a month."
"You work here?" Rogue asked
"Yeah, I'm a maid here." Meredy told him
"She's my maid and my best friend." Loke informed him
"What about Aries?" Sting asked
"She's not allowed to step foot in the house on weekends and we're only allowed to have an hour a day to talk when she brings my homework," Loke explained "She's having dinner with us today however so that father can get to know her better, her idea."
Loke ran a hand through his hair frustrated with his situation even though it was a small punishment he still didn't like not being able to see Aries all day. He didn't missed going to school however the rest of his so called friends that weren't really his friend's just classmates who he despised to no end because they were stuck up rich boys. They were already paired off and due to marry some rich girl or boy somewhere expanding their family state and he knew that going back to school would earn him some gossiping because by now everyone should know that he Loke King was not going to be expanding his family's fortune. He didn't mind though, he had something that the others didn't and that was true love and he loved it.
"She still hates me right?" Meredy asked
"Every girl hates you." Sting told her
"Whose fault is that?" Meredy asked looking at Loke and at Sting one at a time
"Don't go looking at us." Loke said
"You guys are just so good and making me feel so unimportant." Rogue told them not meaning to say it out loud
"Sorry buddy," Sting apologized "We can leave if you want."
"No!" Meredy yelled jumping off the bed "You can't leave, stay the night. We can have sleepovers and be rebellious like we used to when we were younger."
The three of them shared a look – Meredy, Sting and Loke, Rogue isn't apart of them – smiling at the memories of not so long ago when they would stay up late at night having fun and playing games. The three of them were practically always together and Meredy missed that.
"Rogue can even join," Meredy went on "just don't leave just yet. We can be the three King's, just like we used to be. It's been 7 years."
Meredy had tears in her eyes that hadn't fallen yet and Loke and Sting both rushed to her and hugged her knowing what she was going through. Sting sighed and looked at Rogue who by all means felt awkward in the situation. Rogue sighed anyway and nodded meaning "Yeah we can stay." Sting smiled at him and went back to trying to calm Meredy down.
"Hey, 7 years isn't that much." Loke whispered in her ear
"I'm an idiot." Sting whispered in her other ear
"No you're not." Meredy said making it loud enough for only them to hear
"No, I think he kinda is." Loke joked still whispering
"No, I'm an idiot because I never told you how amazing stunning and beautiful you look." Sting told Meredy kissing the side of her head
"Like a gem." Loke added
"The three King's forever." Meredy smiled embracing them both
"Forever." Sting and Loke spoke
Rogue just sat there looking at the three of them and envying their deep connection to each other and their group name that didn't make sense because Meredy was a girl. He was about to point out that fact when Sting rushed out of the hug and started clearing the water, Loke started arranging the game area and Meredy came over to him and dragged him to the next room. It all happened so fast that he didn't have time to argue and ask questions. Soon Sting joined them in the study and shut the door.
"What the fuck?" Rogue finally spoke earning him a smack on the head from Sting
"Shh." Meredy whispered and leaned her head against the door.
There was a knock on Loke's bedroom door and Sting and Meredy froze. Rogue just looked around at the surprising small study wondering what types of books that Loke would have.
"Yes, Father." Loke said
"Where is Meredy?" Loke's father spoke
Meredy started to open the door and stepped out before closing it quickly so he didn't see Sting or Rogue.
"You called Master." Meredy spoke
"Yes, tonight we're going to the Heartfilia estate for dinner. Don't ask any questions Loke," He said "It's not to set you up with his daughter just a friendly thing. He just came out of a coma and so we thought bets to discuss the cancelation over dinner."
"Father, what about Aries coming over?" Loke asked
"She'll join us of course. Sting can join us too but no one else," He said "Meredy shall get you prepped and ready in 10 minutes."
Sting sighed and knew he had to come out of hiding. He told Rogue not to move and he opened the door and then closed it quickly like Meredy had done only seconds ago.
"Mr. King." Sting greeted
"I think I preferred when you called me Mr. Moustache" Mr. King said
"Touché." Sting joked
"Finally earned your respect, have I not." Mr. King said
"Yes you have sir." Sting said and they smiled at each other
"I'm off to get ready and Aries should be arriving in 10 minutes. It shall take us about 20 minutes to get there, try and look presentable." Mr. King said as he left the room
Rogue then came out of the Study having heard everything that was said. Meredy ran to Loke's closet to pick out two of his best suits and threw them on the bed. Then she ran out of the room and came back with three dresses in her hand.
"People we have to get a move on," She yelled at the boys just standing there "Rogue we'll get one of the drivers to take you home because there is no way you can stay here. Master would never allow it."
"I don't mind but I can drive." Rogue pointed out
"Sunday is their day off. Sting wouldn't be able to go back." Meredy told him grabbing the phone
Sting and Loke started to move, going towards Loke's bed to decide who got which outfit. Loke took the white shirt with the dress pants. Sting took the sea blue shirt and they both started to change as fast as they could. Once Meredy was off the phone she told Rogue to go to the front gate. Rogue didn't even say goodbye because Meredy pushed him out of the room and turned to face the other two.
"Loke tuck your shirt in and leave two buttons. Sting untuck your shirt and also leave two buttons," Meredy commanded "your shoes should do Sting but Loke get the fancy ones."
They did as told and Meredy laid out the three dresses and waited for them to come over and help her chose. 7 minutes were left. She smiled liking the challenge. There was a pink one, a white one and a blue one.
"The pink goes with your hair." Loke said
"It would be too much." She agreed moving it away from the others
"You can't match with my boyfriend." Aries' voice came from the door
They all turned to face her as she wore a beautiful white dress herself. Loke made his way over to her and gave her a quick kiss.
"Sorry about the change of plans." Loke apologised holding her hand
"I don't mind." Aries assured him
"Love birds," Meredy said "I guess I'll just have to match you Sting."
"Don't care." Sting tod her
"I do now come on; you have to do my make up." Meredy dragged him into the bathroom
Sting didn't even bother protesting but he did blush in embarrassment. Loke and Aries just laughed a little to themselves. Loke liked moments like this because he was surrounded with people he loved and he wished they would never end.
"You look stunning, like the stars in the sky." Loke complimented her
"Don't look bad yourself." Aries told him kissing him
They made out just a little. 4 minutes later Sting and Meredy came out and still found them kissing. Meredy gave them a few more seconds before coughing a little. They broke apart and blushed.
"Don't got that much time people." Meredy said
"Right." Aries said opening the door and everyone else followed after her.
"You look well Aries." Meredy said
"You could look better Meredy." Aries said back giving a fake smile
"Play nice." Loke said
"The bitch started it." Meredy said
"Says the hore." Aries said
Meredy huffed and walked a tad bit faster than the rest and Sting followed her pace to try and get her to calm down a bit. Loke sighed and faced Aries. Aries just looked anywhere but him.
"I know you don't quite like her but please just try to be nice." Loke begged
"I just won't talk to her." Aries compromised
{At the Heartfilia Estate}
"Aren't we going to start eating?" Lucy asked her father
"We're waiting for a dear friend of mine." Jude told her
"Is it a work mate father?" Rufus asked
"You could say that." Jude said
"This is quite a dining room." Yukino commented
"Thank you, I got all these art pieces on sale." Jude informed her
Right then Virgo entered the room and everyone turned to face her.
"Master, the guests have arrived." Virgo spoke
"Oh finally." Jude said standing up
Mr. King entered followed by Loke and Aries and then Sting and Meredy right behind whispering to each other. Rufus, Yukino and Lucy stood up and smiled at them.
"King, I'm so glad you could make it on such the short notice," Jude said "please sit."
"It's quite ok. I'm glad you invite us," Mr. King said as he took his sit "This is my son Loke and his girlfriend Aries. She was already coming over for dinner at our house so I said she should come with us here instead of cancelling."
"It's nice to meet you sir." Loke spoke
"A pleasure I'm sure." Jude said
"This is his closet friend Sting and Meredy." Mr. King stopped the introductions
"You're looking well Jude." Sting spoke
"You are to my dear boy," Jude said smiling "Lucy told me you couldn't make it."
"That's a whole other story." Sting said
Jude laughed and the conversations started flowing as the food was served. Lucy looked at Sting who when he wasn't talking engaging to much of the conversation at the table was whispering and laughing with the Meredy girl and she couldn't help but feel a tad bit jealous. So she decided to just concentrate on her food and keep track of the conversation.
"So Meredy why is a young girl like you working as a maid in the King household." Jude asked
"My mother passed away when I was quite young so when I came at Masters door and asked if I could leave there explaining my situation he accepted and I'm so grateful I just decided to work there as well. He pays for all my basic needs and pays me for what I do for Loke." Meredy explained
"She's practically like family in a way." Mr. King said
"I'm I like family?" Sting asked
"You wish." Mr. King joked
"I'll take that as a yes." Sting said
Mr. King laughed. The diner was light hearted and everyone had something to say but Lucy wasn't participating much in the conversations. She was too busy sending daggers and wishing for Meredy to disappear. Aries wasn't part of the conversations either but that was because she was too shy to speak up but now and then Loke and her would talk and joke a bit. Yukino was enjoying herself and got to learn more about Mr Heartfilia, Rufus of course was talking for her at times but she didn't mind because she felt nervous when asked some questions. Meredy was enjoying herself talking when she needed to and joking around with Sting. She caught Lucy staring at her a number of times and always made it her job to doing something simple with Sting just to see her reaction, they were funny.
This blonde is way too easy to make mad and jealous. It's fun. Meredy thought
I hate that little good for nothing bitch. She's a maid and she should stick to her job instead of flirting with her master's son's friend. Lucy thought
Girls are so clueless. I can see what's going on between the two of you. Sting thought smiling to himself
"I know what you're doing." Sting whispered to Meredy
"It's too fan." Meredy whispered back
"Stop it before Mr. King notices." Sting warned her
"Fine. You know I'm so glad that you're feeling better than you usually feel on today."
"Me too. I think I'll see her grave after this though."
"I'll come with you."
"I don't mind."
They smiled at each other and turned back to eating their food. No one heard and no one noticed except Lucy. Diner went on anyway and was having a fun time even Jude was smiling.
OMG! Guy's I love you sooo much. I swear the reviews are just amazing. They just kept coming and people kept following and requesting and I was nearly crying and because of that, because of your love for the story and your support I just felt the need to get this chapter to ASAP. I hope you love it. Keep the reviews coming because they so motivate me to write and I just love them. Now you know who Meredy is! I just love adding her into the story…hehe. Thanks so much guys…I'm so glad you like my story. It's long just for you and the next chapter might be shorter, I don't know we'll wait and see.
