BlackLynx17: I decided to have an early update this week. I'm supposed to be finishing my anime series I started watching, but instead I'm going to give you all some drama! I've been watching Fairy Tail a lot lately and I've been trying to rewatch them all. There's a lot of episodes though, so it's been keeping me busy. Anyone been reading the knew chapters?! I won't spoil anything if you haven't, I suggest that you start though. You're really missing something.
AAA Chapter 25
"Do you see her Levy?"
I took my glasses off as I started scanning around the library; I didn't spot any scarlet so I shook my head lightly at her.
"The chances of her coming again at lunch aren't high, just look how many people there are here." I said.
She wouldn't come when there was a lot of people, that's why she comes after school. She's probably ashamed of being an otaku, or is at least trying to hide that part of her from friends. The library is practically deserted after school since people have better things to do than read.
"So she's not here?" Wendy asked.
I sighed out through my nose, "no. She's not going to be here until after school, and that's if we're lucky."
"But I have a really important lesson for our club today... I could reschedule, but... oh well. There's only one thing we can do that will solve our problems." Wendy nodded her head as if she was agreeing with herself.
She suddenly stood up from the table and started walking over to the head of the library. I quickly gathered up my things and rushed to follow after her.
"And what's that?!" I asked with my eyebrows raised.
"The obvious answer! If she won't come to us, then we'll have to go to her! We're going to have to find her ourselves! Hurry up Levy!" Wendy cheered.
"What?" I gasped pausing where I was.
Wendy didn't wait for me as she walked over to the front counter of the library and started talking to the librarian, asking if she knew of a girl with scarlet long hair. I quickly ran up towards her and listened to her excuse on wanting to find her, because obviously we weren't going to get a name by saying we wanted her to join our anime club. She came up with a lie saying a scarlet haired girl dropped her folder and we wanted to return it. It worked like a charm, Erza Scarlet was her name.
"Thank you very much, let's go Levy." Wendy said walking out of there.
"Wendy! We're not about to ask around the whole school for a girl named Erza Scarlet!" I announced once we walked out.
Wendy sighed and turned around; she walked over to me and stared up. Even though I was short, Wendy was even shorter making me feel pretty tall. She tried reaching for my neck and held up my Grell glasses.
"Glasses on Levy." She told me.
Glasses on? I skeptically reached for my glasses and placed them on my face, taking a deep breath. Alright, so maybe asking around for Erza Scarlet wasn't going to be so bad. I mean, at least we know her name right? It wasn't like we were going to ask people if they knew a girl with scarlet hair.
"Where do you wanna start?" I asked.
Wendy grinned, nodding at me. "Much better, let's go Grevy!"
I giggled behind a hand, "Why Grevy?" I asked, though I had an idea.
"Because when you put on GRELL's glasses you become GREvy, a little more courageous than Levy. Hello, excuse me. Do you know a girl named Erza Scarlet?" Wendy asked.
I rolled my eyes and started asking around with her. At the end we didn't find anyone who knew Erza Scarlet, which must have meant Erza wasn't that popular. She was beautiful though so you would think that someone would know who she was. Maybe we were just asking the wrong people then? Most of the students we asked were freshman and sophomores, we'd probably have more luck with juniors and seniors. We didn't get to check if my idea would be more effective since near the last few minutes of lunch, Erza found us.
"Erza!" Wendy smiled, waving her hand like they were old friends.
I admire my president's courage soooo much. I wonder what makes her so confident to random people she's just met? Erza looked mad as she walked over to us, a glare on her face.
"Are you the two who have been asking around for me?" She asked, her voice solid.
I flinched back and tried to hide behind Wendy, which wasn't very successful since she was shorter than me.
"Yup! We're them!" Wendy said with a smile.
NO! WENDY! If looks could kill we'd be dead. Erza huffed lightly and crossed her arms over her chest, tapping her foot.
"Well, what do you want?" Erza asked.
"We want you to join our anime club!" Wendy told her flat out.
I dared to look up at the scary scarlet girl; she had a very amused expression on her face as she stared down at the two of us.
"You weren't joking last time when you said that?" She asked tilting her head.
"I never joke about anime." Wendy said seriously.
"Kid, I don't even like anime." Erza said.
"That's not true, my friend Grevy here says she's seen you renting manga books from the library all the time, but in secret though. Are you ashamed of being an otaku?" Wendy asked.
WENDY! WHY ARE YOU PUTTING ME ON THE SPOT?! Erza moved her gaze towards me and I smiled weakly, waving my fingers at her.
"Hello." I squeaked.
"Ota-what?" She asked.
"Otaku. You don't even know what an Otaku is? You must still be a newbie. That's alright though, we don't judge at AAA. Please join our club." Wendy said bowing lightly.
"Um, I'm sorry girly but I'm not joining whatever you just said. Please stop asking people about me and leave me alone. Thanks." Erza said then turned around.
"Wait!" Wendy said grabbing her coat.
DANGER WENDY! DANGER! HAVE YOU BEEN IGNORING HER GLARE ALL THIS TIME?!
"You don't have to join, alright? But just come to our meeting after school! Just check out what our club is like, it's in building D and our door has all these anime things, you can't miss it! Please!" Wendy begged.
"I'm busy."
"Well make some time!" I blurted out.
Erza stared at me, but I stared over at Wendy as I stopped hiding. She was doing her best right now for our club, so I should be trying to do the very same since it was my club too.
"All About Anime Club is wonderful, if you love anime even in the slightest you'll love this club. We have so many amazing people in there and I'm sure you'll enjoy it, if not... if not... I'll be your servant for a week!" I said.
I saw something sparkle in Erza's eyes when I said that.
"Grevy! You don't have to-"
"Okay, deal."
We both turned our heads back to Erza, "huh?"
"We have a deal. I'll come after school and if I don't like it then you'll be my servant. Building D, anime door, can't miss right?" She asked.
The two of us nodded our heads.
"See you there then." Erza smiled before walking off.
That smiles sent shivers down my spine. Once she was out of sight I collapsed to my knees and started taking deep breaths.
"Grevy, what did you do?" Wendy asked kneeling next to me.
"I gave us the chance to have a new member." I smiled at her, it was an empty smile though.
"She agreed to have you as a servant though! I don't think I want someone like that in our club." Wendy paled.
I giggled, it was empty as well. "Don't worry Wendy, you wanted her right? If that's the case then she shouldn't be too bad."
Wendy frowned at me before sighing, "thanks Levy. But if you're going to be her servant then I will as well!" She said.
"Wendy-"
"No! I won't let you go through it alone! I've made up my mind!"
I leaned down and hugged Wendy close, "thank you."
I don't think I've ever had a friend like this before.
The clock on the wall, covered in anime stickers of Heart No Kuni No Alice thanks to Gray and Juvia, ticked slowly. We all sat down on desks just staring at the door, covered in a giant poster with all 150 original Pokemon that we all drew a few clubs ago. The sound of the ticking was loud as everyone stayed quiet and just stared at the door.
"What are we waiting for again?" Natsu asked, breaking the silence.
"For our new maybe member." Wendy answered.
"Is she lost? Ow." Romeo said.
"It's not funny Romeo."
"Speak for yourself."
Everyone got quiet again when footsteps started echoing through the hall. Seconds later the door open and Erza walked in, her hair fluttering as she looked up and stared at us all. Someone gasped really loudly.
"ERZA!"
We all turned and saw Natsu as white as snow, he wasn't the only one though. Gray looked equally as pale and before anyone of us knew it the two of them were hugging like old friends and smiling, sweat running down their faces.
"Hey E-e-Erza." Natsu cheered.
"Hey Erza! See us? Haven't fought in a while!" Gray said after.
I looked back at Erza and saw a smirk on her face; she brushed some of her hair away behind her ear.
"Natsu, Gray. I was unaware you both were in anime club, let alone in a club together. How's that turning out?" She asked.
"Better than you'd think." Natsu said in a normal voice.
"Natsu! Gray! Front and center!" Wendy yelled.
Natsu and Gray looked at each other and shrugged before walking over in front of her.
"How come the two of you didn't tell me you had an anime friend!" She yelled.
"She's not really a friend."
"Yeah, more like our class president. She's the one who always tries to stop our fights." Gray further explained.
"Besides, we never even noticed that she liked anime."
Wendy narrowed her eyes at the two, "likely story."
"Hey, you're Jellal's friend right?" Laxus asked walking over.
Two conversations were going on at once and I didn't know who to listen to. Natsu and Gray explaining how they knew Erza or Erza and Laxus talking about a person named Jellal. Wendy would want me to hear Erza so I turned my attention to her.
"Yeah, I remember seeing you two before." Erza said pointing at Laxus and Freed, "friends?" She asked.
"Not really, I know he has a thing for anime though. What's your story?" Laxus asked.
"Ain't got one, only here to collect my prize." Erza said with a smile as she turned to look at me.
Laxus followed her gaze and frowned at me, "what does she me-"
"Alright everybody! I'd like you to meet our new friend! Would you like to introduce yourself Erza?" Wendy asked walking up to her.
Laxus gave her a small glare and I giggled into my hand as Wendy stuck her tongue out at him. Erza smirked as she walked towards the group more, flicking her hair behind her shoulder.
"Erza Scarlet, President of the Junior class, vice president of the Student Council." She said.
I blushed in awe. Not only was she beautiful, but a class president as well? And on the Student Council?! Plus she liked anime! What a perfect role model.
"Scarlet, I've heard of you." Lucy mumbled rubbing her chin.
"She's Titania." Juvia said.
My glasses fell off of my face and I stared wide-eyes at Juvia. I wasn't the only one, I saw Lucy with an equally surprised look on her face.
"Ti-ti-ti-titania?!" She repeated.
"The Titania?!" I gasped after.
No wonder no one recognized the name Erza Scarlet, because they all knew her as only one name, Titania! Wendy looked around, the same as Romeo... strange. Why was he standing so far away from Wendy right now? Usually the two of them were inseparable.
"What's a Titania?" Wendy asked.
Natsu and Gray both cleared their voices, pushing our whiteboard in front of Erza; I saw her feet underneath it peeking out. The two of them took the caps off of markers as they started drawing. I wanted to voice that I didn't think Titania would like that very much, I was curious on what was about to happen though.
"Allow us to explain Pres. Once in every several generations, a wonder woman is born into our world." Natsu said drawing a baby.
"No one can explain it, but that little girl is born with super human powers." Gray said drawing lightning bolts around the baby.
"This wonder woman was born into our generation with the mortal name Erza Scarlet. As she grew up she decided to use her powers for good and protect kids from bullying, depending on who you ask because if you see her in action you start to wonder if the bullies are the ones who need protection." Natsu said erasing the baby and drawing a mean picture of Erza.
"She was given many nicknames, but the one that stuck was Titania." Gray said finishing the story.
The two of them bowed as we clapped and Erza cleared her voice, kicking the whiteboard down. It fell on top of Natsu and Gray and they started struggling to get if off of them.
"Ah-ah-ah-AMAZING! NOW YOU HAVE TO JOIN OUR CLUB! YOUR STORY WAS JUST LIKE AN ANIMES!" Wendy screamed jumping up and down.
Erza rolled her eyes and walked over to a desk, sitting down in it and crossing her legs. She leaned her head against her hand and stared at us.
"Well? Are you going to get started or what?" She asked.
I shivered, but Wendy kept her smile strong. She danced around the room as she stared introducing us.
"I'm Wendy, this is Levy, you know Natsu and Gray, you seemed to know Laxus and Freed, this one right here is Lucy and over here is Juvia with Romeo. Together we are the All About Anime Club, AAA for short. Today everyone I have a wonderful lesson and I'd like to thank Laxus for giving me the idea!" Wendy cheered running towards the closet.
She opened it wide and started reaching for a box on the tippy top shelf. Laxus and Lucy were busy helping lift the whiteboard off of Natsu and Gray so Freed walked over and grabbed the box for her.
"Thanks Freed!" Wendy cheered before opening the box and placing a pair of cat ears on him.
"Here." She said before picking up the box and walking around with it.
She placed Mario and Luigi hats on Natsu and Gray, Pikachu ears on Laxus, a Sonic mask on Juvia, a straw hat on Romeo, a Naruto headband for me, a pair of wings for Lucy, a top had with 10/6 on it for herself and a pair of bunny ears for Erza. She stared at them then watched Wendy as she leaned over and placed it on her head. Alright Wendy, didn't you hear any of the stories about her?!
"Wendy! Why don't you sit next to me?!" I asked waving a hand at her.
"Or, why don't you sit next to us Levy?" Erza smiled kindly at me.
I blinked and found my feet walking over there, sitting on the chair on the left side of her.
"Okay so I asked Laxus how he got into anime, but realized that you all might want to hear it! So today we're all going to go around the room and tell how each one of us got into anime, Laxus goes first!" Wendy cheered.
"Also, I had home ec today so I baked us all a strawberry shortcake! Juvia, would you mind helping me?" Lucy asked holding up her box of cake.
"Gotta go fast." She said getting up.
I saw Erza twitch and go still next to me, um...
"Why do I have to go first?" Laxus asked.
"Because I said so, now go." Wendy responded.
Laxus rolled his eyes, I couldn't take him seriously though with those Pikachu ears. He was so adorable.
"I've always been into music, one day I was walking home from school in the 6th grade and saw these anime girls dancing on a flat screen TV. The song spoke to me and I bought the CD then and there, a week later I found out that the songs were from an anime. I watched it and yeah, otaku life though I've mellowed out and it's whatever now."
"Aw, that's so cute." Natsu said.
Laxus punched him in the face without a second's hesitation. I didn't flinch; I was so used to the fighting in this club that this was normal to me now.
"Natsu's turn!" Wendy cheered.
"So whoever gets punched in the face gets to go next? Thanks Wendy. I started at a young age, Pokémon man! Ash was the coolest thing, turning his hat to the side before he threw a pokeball." Natsu said turning his Mario hat to the side and throwing a pretend pokeball.
Everyone started laughing but Erza who just eyed Juvia as she started handing everyone cake. As Natsu threw his pokeball out he accidentally hit Juvia on the hip as she was walking by, who in return smirked and shoved his piece of cake in his face.
"Sorry Juvia, this is delicious though Lucy." Natsu said licking the frosting off of his lips.
I giggled while Lucy started crying from laughing so hard. She walked over to him and kissed her cheeks, leaving a frosting mark there.
"You're right, it is good." She giggled licking her lips.
"I guess that means it's Juvia's turn." Natsu laughed.
"I started with Korean dramas when I was in middle school. You know how you watch animes and ads pop up before you get to watch it right?" She asked.
"Boy do we know." Gray laughed.
I smiled.
"Well an anime ad popped up for Full Moon, the storyline and drama had me hooked. I watched the whole season in a day and then just stared watching Korean dramas just for the anime ads before they started. Sure I still watch Korean dramas, but anime is so much more better plus the guys are all way hotter. None of them hotter than Gray though!" Juvia cheered jumping on Gray.
It was a surprise when Gray didn't push her off, I don't think I was looking at this correctly. I placed on my glasses and stared at the two of them, yup it was happening. Gray looked annoyed, but he made no motion whatsoever to push her off. I wonder what happened there?
"Hey, where's my cake?" Gray asked.
"I'll get it!" Juvia said speeding off.
Gray sighed in relief, there it was.
"I guess it's my turn? Same as Natsu, except I was introduced to... everyone... I have an announcement to make." He said taking a deep breath.
"Oh yeah, you were going to say something before right before Levy left?" Wendy asked.
"Yes, everyone I've been lying to all of you since I first joined anime club." Gray said.
My eyebrows furrowed, lying? About what? What could you possibly lie about in anime club that would make you make such a serious face?
"I- thanks Juvia," Gray said taking the cake she handed him. Juvia smiled and sat in the chair next to him, nodding her head.
"I, I-"
"Spit it out already!" Natsu yelled, cake bits spitting out of his mouth.
"IT ISN'T!" Wendy screamed, "YOU DON'T LOVE ANIME?!"
"WHAT?! NO!" Gray yelled back.
"WHAT IS IT THEN!?"
"MY FAVORITE GENRE IS DRAMA! NOT ACTION!"
...
...
"Oh... is that all?" Wendy asked titling her head.
Gray blinked and looked around, no one seemed surprised that much or seemed to care. I didn't see what was wrong with it; you could love more than one genre.
"You're not going to tease me? Natsu?" Gray asked turning his head.
"Bro, this is anime club. If we can't be ourselves here, where can we be? You didn't have to lie." Natsu said.
Gray seemed really touched because he said in the softest voice, "... Natsu."
"JUST KIDDING! OMG THAT'S HILARIOUS! HAHAHAHAHA!" Natsu laughed, his cake falling out of his lap.
Gray's eyebrows twitched before he threw his cake in the air and tackled Natsu out of his seat.
"NO!" Erza screamed.
I saw her get up and rush towards Natsu and Gray... wait a second. She didn't rush towards them, she started kneeling down near the pieces of cake splattered on the floor. I swore I could see this red, evil aura surrounding her as she stood up slowly, looking over at the two boys fighting then proceeded to beat the daylights out of them. I jerked back in my seat while Wendy seemed to be on the edge of hers, smiling like crazy.
"Friends, we're friends." Natsu said loopy when the beat down was over.
"The best of best of friends." Gray said rocking back and forth.
Erza dusted her hands off and went back to her seat, I scooted my chair a few inches away from her.
"Does that mean Erza goes now?" Lucy asked handing me a plate.
"Wait! Gray didn't finish! How were you introduced to anime Gray?" Wendy asked.
Gray shook his head a bit, "oh yeah. Well my big sister used to make me watch her anime dramas everyday when I came home from school. It's like she had nothing better to do and had no one else to watch it with. I got into it that way."
"That's so cute! Thanks for sharing that Gray and don't worry, I'll forgive you for lying since it was such a cute story. Anyways I'll go instead, Erza's here to observe. Well my mother told me I was two when I officially stared watching anime, she'd flip through the channels and I'd always stop crying when Ranma or Inuyasha was on. After that I just grew up on it, I didn't start getting seriously into it though until I met Romeo in middle school." Wendy smiled looking at him.
"I've always heard about it, same as Wendy though; I didn't get serious until I met her." Romeo said.
"So you both got serious because of each other, that's so cute." Lucy smiled at them.
Romeo blushed while Wendy looked away. Lucy blinked and gave me a look, I shrugged. Normally the two of them would laugh at that, this time was different. Laxus suddenly punched Freed out the corner of my eyes and I turned to them.
"That hurt Laxus, huh? Oh, well once I figured Laxus liked anime I started. I couldn't get into the ones he liked though, once I found harems and junk I found my calling. It's never been as serious as you all, anime is the tenth important thing in my life, the other nine being Laxus." Freed said.
Everyone started laughing at that, including me. I even saw a smile from Erza, the smallest one on the corner of her lips.
"Lucy's turn!" Wendy cheered.
"Yeah Lucy!" Natsu cheered.
Lucy finished up passing cake to everyone else before sitting on the chair Natsu was sitting on. Erza seemed to positively glow when she got her piece.
"Well, I actually got into video games first as you can tell by my ribbon." Lucy smiled touching it.
"After the Final Fantasy movie Advent Children came out I started looking for more details about Final Fantasy and ended up finding similar animes. After I started watching a few animes here and there, once I picked up a manga by Arina Tanemura though I was gone." Lucy said.
"And that was everybody! I feel like I know you all a little better now... GAME TIME! I was rereading Fruit Basket and brought us a deck of cards so we can play revolution! Who's down?!" Wendy asked holding up a deck of Hetalia cards.
I peeked up at Erza, she seemed to be in her own little world right now as she enjoyed her cake. My eyebrows furrowed together as I finally took a bite out of mine... it was good. Really good, Erza seemed to be in heaven though. Hmm... maybe she just loved cake.
I completely forgot about Erza as we started getting into our games, laughing up a storm with my friends. I don't think I've ever had this much fun just playing a card game before. I'm so happy I joined this club, I'm so lucky I ran into Mirajane that day. It was like a message sent from above, she was like an angel. Somehow everyone got the idea to write whatever they wanted on the loser's face, I'm pretty sure Natsu was the one who started it. At the end while the sun was setting and school was about to be closed off I went home with cat whiskers, a mustache, some stars on my forehead and a button drawn on my nose.
Laxus got the worse of it; it seems everyone wanted to draw on him. He wasn't angry in the slightest though, Freed on the other hand was another story. The only one who got away drawn free was Erza, who decided to sit and watch and not play the game. Wendy was the perfect anime president for our club. I have yet to have a boring day coming here, even when we relaxed and just watched anime. Before we all left she held up a camera and took a picture of all of us.
"Wait, just one more. Come on Erza." Wendy said.
"No." Erza told her.
Wendy pouted and walked over, marker in hand. She took the cap off and drew a heart right under her eye before grabbing her hands and dragging her over to us.
"It's no fun to watch alone, join us." She said pushing her with the others.
She placed a camera on the desk and set a timer before running back to us. I did the very brave thing to reach for Erza's hand and hold it; she looked at me.
"Thanks for coming." I smiled at her.
She blinked at me and snorted under her breath, probably because of my face. I encouraged her by laughing myself.
"Okay everyone! Say that was a permanent marker!" Wendy cheered.
"WHAT?!" We all screamed.
At the end the picture was all of us glaring at Wendy with our mouths open while she smiled in the middle and held up the peace sign. Everyone went their separate ways except for Wendy, Romeo, Erza and I. We all stayed behind and faced Erza.
"Well?" Wendy asked.
Erza sighed out and gave us a kind smile, "this club... it's nice."
I smiled brightly while Wendy jumped up and cheered.
"I didn't enjoy myself though, like I said before I'm into anime so Levy. I expect you to be waiting for me in front of the school bright and early at six am sharp. Don't be late." Erza said right after.
All our moods plummeted.
"Wait? What?! But you said-!"
"It's a nice club, you all obviously love what you're doing here. The deal was though that I enjoy myself and that didn't happen here." She further explained.
"But-"
"It's alright Wendy." I told her.
"No! It's not! I'm the president, allow me to take her place!" Wendy said.
"My deal was with Levy Wendy, not you."
"But-!"
"It's alright Wendy, I knew what I was getting myself into." I said.
"I feel like I failed you though!" Wendy started crying.
Erza made a face and bent down, rubbing Wendy's head.
"I'm sorry, you were just wrong about me though; it wasn't you fault. I just don't share the love of anime as you all do." She told her.
"Six am, bright an early." I nodded.
Erza looked up and nodded, "good. Good bye, thanks for the cake too Wendy. It was delicious, make sure to give my compliments to the chef." Erza said before leaving.
Romeo walked over to Wendy and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"I'm sorry Levy, I'm so sorry." She cried.
"Hey, it's not the end of the world. I'm just her servant for a week." I told her.
Wendy sniffed and looked up at me; I smirked proudly at her.
"Don't give up, I know what I saw wasn't wrong. She loves anime Wendy, you had the same feeling right? There must be a reason and now I can spy on her and see why. I won't fail you a second time." I said lifting my fist in the air.
It was big talk, this time I was going to back it up.
"Levy." She sniffed.
"I'll make sure she joins our club, without a doubt." I said reassuringly.
Throughout my little speech though, I kept wondering. Exactly how was I going to do that?
