I got a lot of reviews for the last chapter and I am soooo happy. ) So I want to thank you guys. Please please keep on reading. And for the newcomers, I hope I live up to your expectations. Tho I got a really angry one from Sakura's drama (I hope you understand. I just had to give her that moment. HAHA). This is the only chapter with a title. I think it's rightly named. Sorry for the crappy previous chapter. Though please don't put that off of your reviewing. Thank you!
To the Italian girl who reviewed, make an account so I can reply to you. Thank you! I didn't know that my story has reached all the way there. So please don't stop reading.
REVIEW. It makes me happy.
P.S. The song lyrics at the end of the previous chapter: "Pride can stand a thousand trials, the strong will never fall. But watching stars without you, my soul cries." Is from the soundtrack of Romeo and Juliet and its title is Kissing You by Des'ree. Please listen to it. Thank you!

Chapter Twenty-five: Jumeaux de la Tristesse (Twins of Sorrow)
Touya watched as Sakura fell to her knees, unmindful of the snow seeping into her clothes, numbing her. Tears fell down from her face as they mingled with the blinding whiteness of the snow. He knelt down in front of her and gripped her by the shoulders. "Sakura… You must get inside…"
As a big brother, he felt like he failed: helpless. If only he could shield Sakura from the pain. He would do everything to make it right. He felt small hands clutch the front of his shirt, tugging them. He looked at the tear-streaked face of his sister, her eyes red and puffy.
Time stood still. Nobody cared if the snow was too cold or the ground too wet. Tomoyo was on her knees sobbing. Eriol was at a loss for words. Even Yukito's cheery face was gone.
He gulped as he heard his sister speak softly, her voice breaking, "Touya… He's gone…" At this, she let out a wail and flung herself in his arms.
He didn't know what to say. He didn't know what to do. He stroked her hair softly for what seemed to be the longest time.
The cold still air was punctuated by Sakura's loud sobs as she repeated those two words that he knew broke her heart every single time. "He's gone, Touya… He's gone…"
AAA
It was cold. And the snow was wet on his cheek. He knew he didn't die. But he didn't want to live either.
Let them find me. I don't want to move.
Everything hurt. Besides, he couldn't move. Not that he'd tried. There was a jagged piece of metal that was right where his arm was. He could feel it. It hurt.
There was another voice in his head, move, dumbass. It sounded pretty much like Mei Lin scolding him.
Slowly, he opened his eyes. Even opening them hurt. It was like he was thrown in a blender until his insides turned to mush. He stared at the dark sky. He spotted a lone star nestled in the vast blackness of the sky. With humungous effort, he got himself out of the hole he was wallowing in. That stupid lapse of judgment got him sprawled on the hood of a crushed car.
It felt like hours. Hell, it felt like eternity. He couldn't move his legs nor lift himself up. The car was totally wrecked, he could figure that out; also the wall was reduced to rubble. The hood he was sprawled on was dented and mashed up, crushing one side of his body. There was a throbbing bruise the size of Texas on his forehead and he felt like dying but couldn't quite get there yet.
Figuring help would come soon enough, he closed his eyes and filled his lungs with the cold and sharp air. It smelled clean, as if he could almost taste the cold air around him. That crash surely alerted someone.
Sakura… No matter what happens, he can't refuse her wishes. If she doesn't want to see him, then he won't go at all. He'll just have to settle for watching her at a distance. Again. Nothing ever changes. The snow kept on falling, little by little, doing nothing to ease or comfort him.
Miraculously, the sound of crunching snow and barking dogs floated to him. He felt a sense of importance. I'm going to be saved.
Finally, as if it was waiting for something else, before he could speak or cry out, he could feel his consciousness letting go. And he didn't care. He just let it come and take him away. Away from everything else.
AAA
Syaoran opened his eyes and closed them again quickly. The harsh bright lights of the hospital stung his eyes. He wasn't surprised that he was in the hospital. He could smell the bed sheets reeking of the generic hospital smell. He groaned and tried to sit up.
Just then, there was some sort of commotion outside the door. He could make out Eriol's voice and Tomoyo's.
"Calm down! He's hurt!" Eriol was saying.
Syaoran agreed to this. Even though his head didn't throb anymore, he still felt heavy and he was bruised all over.
"I won't do anything to him!" a female voice said. Syaoran remembered that voice.
It was on the tip of his tongue! But before he could say anything else, the door burst open and he almost vomited.
"SYAORAN LI! DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BE MISERABLE FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE? BECAUSE I WILL SURELY MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING HELL!" Mei Lin practically screamed at him as she held his chin.
Syaoran stuttered. "How… did you get here? So fast?" he asked her.
Mei Lin grudgingly released him and bonked him on the head. He yelped. "The jet! I'm serious, where did your brain go?"
"Turned into pulp, I say." Eriol added from behind her.
Syaoran laid back down on the bed, his eyes used to the fluorescent lights above him. Mei Lin was yapping away beside him. He wasn't really listening.
"AND WHAT IS THIS ACCIDENT?! DO NOT TELL ME THAT YOU TRIED TO KILL YOURSELF?!" Mei Lin growled into his face.
Syaoran shook his head abruptly as he sat up again. "Of course not!" Wrong move, no sudden moves.
Just then, there was a knock on the door. Mei Lin fluffed her hair a bit and started to remove her coat which was still specked with droplets of snow. It seems as if she rushed to the hospital right after her flight.
"What happened anyway?" Syaoran asked them. "Who called the ambulance?"
Eriol was reading a sheaf of papers so it was Tomoyo who answered him. "The old lady called. The police contacted Eriol since he was number one on your speed-dial list. We rushed here as fast as we could."
Mei Lin had opened the door and a tall man, roughly the same height as Syaoran, with a fairly muscular build entered.
Syaoran gasped as Mei Lin clung to his arm after kissing him on the cheek. They were having a private moment there by the door while Tomoyo and Eriol were poring over the sheaf of papers. Syaoran was getting annoyed. Who was this boy that had Mei Lin stuck to him like a leech?
"Who are you?" he hissed, crossing his arms.
All attention seemed to stop and look at him. The newcomer, however, took several steps forward and introduced himself. "I'm Justin James. I'm Mei Lin's boyfriend." His accent was British. I don't like it.
Syaoran raised his eyebrow and looked at Eriol and Tomoyo for confirmation. They nodded. He stared at the boy again. He took in his rumpled hair which he's pretty sure was a poor imitation of his. The clothes were… alright… they were good. BUT NOT THAT GOOD. And he was also confident that the pants would look much better on him. Also the shirt is just the wrong color; does this guy know how to color coordinate? The shoes, were an exact replica of his loafers.
Syaoran gave him a severe glare instead of acknowledging his introduction. Who the hell was this copycat declaring himself as Mei Lin's boyfriend?
Mei Lin rushed to this boy's side and clung to his arm again. Syaoran's eyebrow raised higher. The boy seemed unperturbed. He was still smiling, grinning foolishly in my opinion.
"Don't look at him like that, you idiot." Mei Lin scowled.
Syaoran grinned widely. "May I please talk to Mei Lin for a second while you wait outside?"
The boy nodded and closed the door behind him. Mei Lin put her hands to her hips and scowled some more at Syaoran.
Syaoran took a deep breath and then, "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"
"He's my boyfriend!" Mei Lin said defensively.
"I LEAVE FOR LESS THAN A MONTH AND YOU HAVE A NEW BOYFRIEND? WHERE DID YOU PICK HIM UP ANYWAY?" Syaoran couldn't believe how much of a copycat that boy was. He didn't care if he was acting jealous or anything. But he still couldn't believe it.
"He is my boyfriend. Live with it." Mei Lin told him.
Syaoran put his face in his hands. There was too much drama this night. "Fine. Where did you meet him?"
"He's British. We met in the hotel where Mum stayed in Hong Kong. I was visiting and I bumped into him in the elevator. We were once childhood friends." Mei Lin explained.
"Childhood friends? WE WERE CHILDHOOD FRIENDS, MEI LIN. HOW COME I NEVER KNEW ABOUT HIM?" Syaoran pointed out.
Eriol chirped from his seat. "He was with me in England. We were neighbors."
"YOU LIVE ON A PRIVATE ESTATE, ERIOL. A 20-PLUS SOMETHING HECTARE LAND. YOU DON'T HAVE ANY NEIGHBORS." Syaoran added obviously.
"He was living in the next 20-hectare land beside ours." Eriol pointed out.
"That's like a small country between you two." Syaoran said.
Eriol nodded. "I know. But I used to play with him too."
"Then why haven't I met him when I visit you in England?" Syaoran challenged them. He was pretty convinced that they were lying.
"Because you were an obscenely-rich spoiled kid, convinced that the world owes you something." Mei Lin piped in.
Syaoran nodded slowly. "Right…" He felt a bit embarrassed. He was a mean kid. And he was a serious one. He didn't communicate with other people unless they were closely related to him or important.
"Can I let my boyfriend in now?" Mei Lin said after a while.
Syaoran nodded as he sighed and ran his hand through his hair. He felt the edge of the bandage covering the wound on his forehead.
"I'm sorry. I'm Justin James again."
Syaoran summoned the inner goodness in him with immense effort and shook the extended hand. "Sorry if I was –"
"-an ass.." Mei Lin finished for him.
Syaoran rolled his eyes. "right…"
Justin sat down and Syaoran still couldn't help looking at him Maybe it was prejudice but it seems as if this guy and him has so many things in common. For example, they ALMOST have the same haircut. Just… different shades. His was fairer and more blonde.
Also, the clothes… especially the baggy pants that Syaoran preferred. Same brands too.
The shoes were surprising, though. Like he said before, it was exactly the same.
"Justin and Syaoran are alike in many ways." Tomoyo commented.
"Is that why you've fallen in love with me, Mei Lin?" Justin asked her.
"Maybe?" Mei Lin humored him. "If that's the case, I'd pick you since you're way kinder and more handsome than that idiot stuck on that bed."
Syaoran growled. "hey… None of that."
"Fine fine!" Mei Lin argued. "But you're better than him." She whispered grudgingly at Justin who was smiling.
Syaoran rolled his eyes. It was then he noticed the IV stuck in his arm. "Why do I have to get an IV?" he asked them.
"Because if you haven't noticed, you were in an accident." Mei Lin pointed out.
"And what's curious is… The police report said they didn't have break marks on the road…" Eriol said seriously.
Syaoran gulped.
Eriol looked at him and so did the others. "You did try to break didn't you?" he asked worriedly.
Mei Lin clapped a hand to her mouth. "All I said about suicidal attempts… That was true?" she pointed accusingly at Syaoran.
Syaoran looked at the worried faces of his friends. Well…
"Of course not. It was dark and I didn't see the wall. That's why I didn't break."
Tomoyo sighed relieved and so did Mei Lin.
He lay back down on the bed and closed his eyes, listening to the chatter of his friends. He was sleepy again.
Feeling guilty about the worry he caused his friends, he decided to sleep some more. He'll deal with this Sakura business tomorrow.
Idiot, there is nothing to deal with anymore.
AAA
Sakura fell asleep on the couch while Yukito and Touya watched over her.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Touya hissed at Yukito who was pouring more tea. There was no resting for them in the house. Sakura fell asleep after an hour's worth of crying.
"Touya… You know how you get." Yukito pointed out.
Touya rolled his eyes and leaned back as he sat on the floor. His hair brushed Sakura's hand since she was playing with it earlier.
"Fine. But I think I deserved to know in a pretty good situation unlike this one." He grumbled.
Yukito chuckled softly. "I was waiting for the opportune moment."
"And when was that?" Touya snapped at him.
Yukito shrugged. "It didn't come." He put the pot of tea down on the glass table and stretched his legs. "Anyway, the most important thing now is to protect Sakura. You know? Make her happy… It's Christmas anyway."
Touya grunted to show he was listening. He was very angry about what happened tonight. Also, he still hasn't digested the fact that his little –okay… 17-year old sister is –was in love!
But seeing that snotty rich-faced bastard hugging my sister…
He growled. Yukito gave him a sharp look. "Stop growling, you beast."
It made his blood boil. It was a good thing that Sakura took things in her own hands or else her ex-love would be ex-alive and he would be ex-free. Rotting away in jail, as Tomoyo aptly put it.
He didn't care if the obscenely rich bastard was the heir and owner of the goddamned company (he was pretty sure that the brat didn't know anything worthy). All he wanted was to protect his sister and beat the crap out of that blasted Syaoran Li.
I don't care. I'm not his employee. He's not my boss.
He's a runt. And a pest.
Worth squashing.
"Are you thinking of evil thoughts again?" Yukito broke the silence.
Touya didn't say a word.
"Stop it. And you have a message." Yukito handed his cell phone to him.
It was from Mizuki, his girlfriend, who was a nurse.
He blushed secretly at this. They've been together ever since the last time he was back in the hospital. Only Yukito knew about it. He was confident that Sakura will tease him to death about this.
'Sumting wrong?Love u. –mizuki'
He punched in the letters saying that he'll contact her the next day. She replied within a span of a few seconds.
'Sakura?'
He has to give her credit. She was pretty sharp when it comes to his problems, able to guess the real reason of his grumbling.
Suddenly, he missed her laughing voice and sweet talks. He pushed the green button and put the phone in his ear.
Taking care of keeping his voice soft so as not to wake up Sakura, "Hey…"
"Touya… Is something wrong about, Sakura?" Mizuki's voice was like bells in his ear.
"Kind of…" Touya said softly as he fiddled with his socked feet.
"Is she hurt?" Mizuki's panicked voice said.
Touya shook his head, "Nah.. More like heart broken."
There was a short silence on the phone. "Heart broken?"
"Mm hmm." Touya answered.
"She's depressed right now?"
"She's asleep…"
"I know that, you dolt. What I mean is that… is she hurting real bad?" Mizuki was a bit annoyed at Touya for being a thickie.
"Uhh… Yeah."
"I'll help."
Touya was a bit amused. Mizuki was cheering up. "Okay… How then?"
"I'll take her shopping. It's an every girl's dream." Mizuki pointed out.
"Uhhh… Maybe not Sakura's…" he said.
"Shut it, Touya. It is. Now… What's the number for Tomoyo? I'll rendezvous with her and we'll take Sakura shopping to cheer her up." Mizuki had it planned already.
"I'll send you the number later." Touya said.
"Okay then." Touya said.
"Love you. Call you back tomorrow. Goodnight."
"I love you too. Sleep well." Touya said.
He put down the phone and looked at Yukito who was eyeing him over the rim of his tea. "Mizuki?"
He nodded.
"Sakura doesn't like shopping." He said, stating the obvious.
"I know. It's only her friends who keep on refusing that fact. Apparently, it's an every girls dream." Touya sighed.
"So you're going to let her go?" Yukito asked.
"We'll better try, right? She needs to cheer up anyway…" he said, looking at the sleeping face of his fragile little sister.
AAA
Touya's foot slid and hit the leg of the glass table in front of him, waking him up. He groaned and squinted at the weak sunlight flooding the living room. He looked at Sakura who was still fast asleep on the couch. A delicious aroma of coffee emanated from the kitchen. He figured that Yukito was already awake.
They finally fell asleep near three that morning. Touya yawned widely as he picked himself up and shuffled to the kitchen. He saw Yukito, slightly puffy-eyed, flipping pancakes on the stove. Coffee was already on the table. Picking one up, he took his chair and wolfed down the pancakes Yukito had finished.
"Sakura still asleep?" Yukito asked as he poured more batter onto the pan.
Touya nodded and drank his coffee. With caffeine in his system, he felt a bit better.
There was silence in the kitchen as they finished off their breakfast. Yukito kept some pancakes for Sakura and put them inside the microwave. Touya was just going to wash the dishes when his cell phone rang in his back pocket.
He pulled it out and flipped it open. It was Mizuki.
There was a lot of background noise and he could hardly hear his girlfriend talking. "Hello?"
"TOUYA. Syao-… Ku- Hospi…tal." Came the clipped words.
Touya couldn't understand anything. He stared at his phone as the call went dead. He tried to call her this time but it was only a busy signal. He put it back in his pocket as he decided to ask her later instead. He started to piece everything in his head as he soaped up the first plate.
Yukito was wiping the table for stray droplets of maple syrup. "Who was it?"
"Mizuki." He answered, troubled.
"What's the matter? You forgot your monthsary again?" Yukito teased his worried tone.
"Of course not." Touya scowled as he rinsed.
"Then what is it?"
"She said something about a 'Syao' and a 'Ku' and 'hospital'." He said, looking at Yukito for enlightenment.
"I've heard that word before…" Yukito pondered on. He put the dishcloth beside the sink as he leaned on the counter and watched Touya finish washing the plates.
"Which one? 'Hospital?'" Touya asked.
Yukito sneered at him. "Not that. 'Syao.'"
Touya nodded slowly. "Yeah… It sounds familiar."
"I think it was your dad who said it…" He guessed.
Touya, however, shook his head. "Nah… Don't think so. It must be Tomoyo or that nerdy kid whats-his-name."
"It's Eriol. And he's not nerdy. He's pretty kind." Yukito defended Tomoyo's boyfriend from the evil workings of Touya's mind. To him, all boyfriends at the age of 17 were playboys.
Maybe because he was one.
"Whatever you say." Touya put the plates back on the rack and dried his hands.
They went back to the living room to watch television.
There was silence between them as they both deciphered what Mizuki was trying to say.
Suddenly, it dawned on them.
"Syao… Syaoran?" Touya stared at Yukito's face.
"Hospital?" Yukito mouthed at Touya.
AAA
"We don't have to tell Sakura about that brat!" Touya hissed as he managed to keep his voice low.
"But Syaoran is in danger!"Yukito protested.
They had just finished calling Mizuki and they found out the whole story. She was assigned to a patient at the start of her shift, named Syaoran Li. And when she entered the room, there was Tomoyo, Eriol, Mei Lin and an unknown boy visiting the young heir to the Li Corporation. The news that he was in the hospital was quelled up so the media wasn't swarming to the hospital yet, staked out at the entrances.
Tomoyo had recognized Mizuki quickly and they were suddenly in an argument as Syaoran forbade everyone to tell Sakura about his condition. However, the argument ended up in Syaoran having difficulty breathing as he tried to contain his anger. He ended up hyperventilating which made him lose consciousness. He was rushed to the emergency room again as his wound on the forehead started bleeding again.
"Sakura has nothing to do with that brat!" Touya said through gritted teeth.
Yukito pursed his lips as he held the bridge of his nose in his fingers. "Fine. But Sakura will get mad if we don't tell her!" he whispered harshly.
Touya raised his eyebrow. "AND?" he challenged. "She'll understand that I'm doing this for her own good! Someone has to take care of her!"
Yukito's eyes darkened at this. Was Touya implying about his certain lack of protectiveness for Sakura?
"You know that Sakura means a lot to me. You both are family. I am just thinking of her reaction if we do not tell her." he calmly explained.
Touya didn't say another word as he continued to pace the living room. Just then, there was a click upstairs.
It sounded like a door closing.
AAA
Eriol and Mei Lin paced in front of the emergency room. They were waiting for Syaoran who was in the emergency room for over an hour already.
"Why did he have to pull his hair anyway?" Mei Lin scowled. She was referring to Syaoran cracking up and losing his temper which made him pull his hair in frustration. "Now his wound is open again."
"He really doesn't want Sakura to know." Eriol said softly.
"But what if this is the real deal? Maybe Sakura will come and make peace with him." Mei Lin explained.
Eriol shook his head. "We can't… Touya won't let her come anyway."
Mei Lin nodded slowly. "This sucks…" she said after a few minutes.
Eriol just nodded. They were silent once more as they waited for nothing in particular.
"Maybe… they're not… meant-"
"Don't say that." Mei Lin snapped at Eriol. "Syaoran left me for her. There is no way they are not meant to be."
"I thought you were over that?" Eriol asked her.
Mei Lin rolled her eyes at him. "Of course I am. Who said I wasn't?"
Eriol looked taken aback. "Well, you did. You said-"
"I know what I said. Forget what I said. I was making a point. Anyway, the thing is, they are meant to be. You should have heard the way Syaoran talked about her when he confessed to me."
"Confessed to you? But I though Sakura loved Syaoran?" Eriol was looking very much confused.
Mei Lin's eyes grew big. "OH MY GOD. WHO THE HELL ARE YOU? WHERE THE FUCK IS YOUR BRAIN?!"
Eriol pursed his lips.
"What is wrong with you?" Mei Lin rapped him hard on the head. "Are you brain-dead? Why, in the name of Li Corporation, are you acting like a douche?"
Eriol raised his eyebrows. "Enough with the insults and the name-calling. I was merely making heads and tails of what you were saying." He defended.
"Oh my, Kami…" Mei Lin exhaled. She was feeling pretty much pissed off with all that transpired that day.
"You were saying?" Eriol reminded her.
Mei Lin rolled her eyes again as she took a deep breath and continued her story. "Anyway. As I was saying… Syaoran told me all about her being the love of his life."
"He said those exact same words?" Eriol was nearly in tears laughing as he tried to imagine the very serious Syaoran saying that cliché.
"Not really… I can't exactly remember. That day isn't exactly on my list of priorities. So I'm sorry if I can't answer your question." Mei Lin said sarcastically.
"Fine. I won't tease you or Syaoran anymore." Eriol said.
"I just hope he'll be fine soon. And that Sakura will talk to him. They're meant to be. I just know it." Mie Lin said hopefully.
AAA
"He's in the hospital because of me?" Sakura asked Touya, her eyes wide.
"No! Of course not!" Touya hastily said.
"But from the way you explained it… It's like…" Sakura's voice trailed off.
"That's not what we mean, Sakura. It is some sort of coincidence that Syaoran got into an accident right after the… uhhh… confrontation." Yukito explained calmly.
"Oh… Okay then…" Sakura said. She turned her eyes to the television and watched the program again.
"You're not… going to him?" Touya asked carefully.
"No. it's not my fault. Besides, why would I go there if I'm forgetting him? That's a pretty poor way of eating my words." She said without looking at him.
"Okay then..."Touya said, not pursuing the subject any longer.
Yukito just nodded in agreement as he went to the kitchen to prepare lunch.
AAA
"How do you feel now?" Mei Lin stroked Syaoran's hand as he rested on the bed with his eyes closed.
He shook his head a fraction of an inch to the right then to the left.
"Maybe it's better if you don't talk to him yet…" Eriol said softly.
Mei Lin nodded but didn't retreat from her position. "Okay then… Tell us if you need anything." She whispered again to Syaoran.
Syaoran nodded slowly as he tried to get some more sleep. The drugs where still in effect and he was feeling very weak and heavy. It was like some sort of brick was on top of his chest, making it hard to breathe. He could hear the small whispers of his friends in the background. It was distracting him from getting moment's peace.
"I have to talk to you outside." He barely heard Mei Lin say.
His hand felt cold as Mei Lin released it. He took a deep breath. Another hand replaced it.
"Don't worry, Syaoran. We're still here." It was Tomoyo. Her voice felt almost as good to hear as Sakura's.
He felt comforted. There was the sound of a door closing and then, silence.
Tomoyo was humming something softly. It felt good. Like a childhood dream. He didn't mind that he was being treated like a child. The great and mighty Syaoran with a heart of stone is no more.
All that mattered was he needed sleep and comfort.
He needed Sakura.
But he can settle for this at the moment.
AAA
"We have to tell Sakura." Mei Lin told Eriol firmly. "She needs to know."
"She can't. And if she does, what is the guarantee that she'll do something about it? You weren't there when she told us everything!" Eriol hissed back.
"Syaoran needs her. And Sakura is too much of a bitch not to realize that she needs him too." Mei Lin said angrily.
"You don't know how she feels." Eriol said slowly.
"Tell me, then. So I can understand what is making her stupid!" Mie Lin almost yelled.
"If you were in her place, you'd have a hard time too. Loving your best friend's fiancé. What do you say to that? She tried to fight her feelings, forget him. But it was too much. Syaoran is just too late." Eriol explained calmly.
Mei Lin shook her head. "So this is a matter of timing?" She asked him.
Eriol shrugged. "Maybe. The timing was wrong. We asked her first before we explained. We were wrong. Everything was wrong."
"Not everything." Mei Lin said grudgingly. "I knew that Syaoran had feelings for her. But I chose to ignore it."
"Just… Let's wait till Syaoran gets better then we can think of a way to get them back together."
"No." Mei Li said suddenly.
Eriol looked at her fearfully. "What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to talk to her. Pound some sense into her. Make her understand."
Before Eriol could stop her, she grabbed her keys from her pocket and ran towards the elevator.
"MEI LIN! STOP!" Eriol tried to pull her back. But it was a wrong move. Mei Lin bit his arm, giving her time to escape to the fire exit.
Eriol, sensing defeat, trod back to the room to Tomoyo's wide eyes.
"What happened to you?" She asked hurriedly.
"He asleep?" he pointed his chin towards Syaoran. Tomoyo nodded. Then, "Mei Lin's after Sakura."
Tomoyo gasped and Justin looked up from the couch, wide-eyed.
"What?!" They both said together.
AAA
Mei Lin stepped on the gas, not caring if she was breaking traffic rules. She sped past a streetlight and nearly ran over a man carrying a briefcase. Muttering curses under her breath, she ignored the constant ringing of her phone. She knew that it was Eriol, Tomoyo, or Justin calling her back. She figured she'll have ten minutes of alone time with Sakura before Eriol comes crashing through the door. She stepped on the gas harder and turned left towards Sakura's house. She'll fix this. Definitely.
