Secret ID's

Disclaimer- I've wished upon every falling star, but sadly I still don't own Young Justice. I only own Dawn, other Oc's, and plot changes. Anyways ON WITH THE STORY!

Italics-telepathic communication

Dawn's POV

"You ready Rob?"

"As ready as I'll ever be."

I smiled and gave Robin's shoulder a reassuring squeeze as we faced the great-grandfather clock mentally preparing ourselves for the discussion ahead. School ended about an hour ago, but I told Artemis I'd meet her at the cave later.

I knew this was a huge moment for Rob, possibly the biggest decision he's ever made, and I'll be damned if I wasn't going to be there for him every step of the way. Even though I'm providing moral support I'm letting him take the lead on this one. It's his decision and it'll affect his life the most so he needs to be the one to ask Bruce.

Dick and I were already out of our school uniforms and were now casually dressed in basketball shorts and old t-shirts. We decided against changing into something nice since we're changing into our game clothes in about an hour and a half once we get to the cave.

He released one last deep sigh before hesitantly punching in the piano pass code opening the secret entrance to the batcave. The steps were wide enough to where we could easily walk together side by side, and as we walked down the winding staircase we heard the soft familiar screeching of the bats living in the cave.

In my peripheral vision I noticed Dick relax slightly when the sound reached his ears. To most people bats are creepy, scary, unpredictable, and dangerous creatures, but due to our line of work and who we train under, bats have become like a sense of comfort to Dick and I. Unlike most people who'd usually flinch or grow uneasy by the screeching we were instantly put to ease by the sound.

After about a minute of walking we finally reached the end of the staircase and walked over to Bruce's large plush black chair in front of the massive batcomputer screen. His chin was resting on his interlaced fingers as he stared at the screen intently watching the video footage of the Justice League's latest training exercise. He's been watching the same video on continuous replay for the past hour and a half trying to get a good assessment of the team and where people needed some improvement for their next meeting discussion.

Dick took one last deep breath to calm his nerves so he'd make a good solid argument. He squared his shoulders and ceased wringing his hands, which he's been doing ever since we hit the steps. He gave me one last glance and I gave him a curt confident nod.

"You got this" I reassured him through our link giving him a quick thumbs up. He smiled before turning to face the back of Bruce's large black chair.

"Hey Bruce can I talk to you for a minute?"

Bruce didn't move or divert his eyes from the computer screen as he answered, "Yeah Dick, what's on your mind?"

"Um Bruce if you don't mind I'd like to talk to you...and have your full attention" Dick said softly.

His soft and hesitant tone immediately caught Bruce's attention and he instantly knew something was up. He ordered the computer to pause the video as he turned his chair to face Dick. He moved his arms so his elbows were resting on his knees, but his chin was still resting on his folded hands.

"You have my full attention," he said calmly.

For a moment Dick was silent as he thought about how he wanted to phrase his question and Bruce patiently waited for him to order his thoughts. He didn't know what Dick wanted to tell him or why he was so nervous about it, but he could tell by Dick's body language that he was nervous and struggling to find the proper words to say. This observation alone piqued Bruce's interest since Dick's rarely ever nervous or hesitant around him. The only time Dick ever acts like this is when he knows he's about to get in trouble or when he's about to ask for something he knows Bruce will be hesitant to accept.

"I wanted to ask for your permission to…tell the team my secret ID" Robin quickly blurted out after a short pause.

If Bruce was surprised by the request he didn't show it. His face remained impassive and blank and his body remained stock-still. The only given indication that he was startled was the way his muscles tensed up slightly like they do whenever he's about to fight somebody.

"No" was his stern and tense reply.

Dick's face steeled and his eyes narrowed in determination, he wasn't about to take no for an answer.

"Oh come on Bruce, why not. You said yourself that when I found someone I absolutely trusted with my life I could tell them my secret. Well you know what, I've found those people. The team is trustworthy and their family. Everyone else trusts the team enough to tell them their secret ID's and I want to be a part of the trust dynamic of the team" he argued.

Bruce's eyes narrowed into slits as his jaw clenched. His hands tightened their grip on each other as he tried to stay calm and not lose his temper. "I said no Dick and that's final. You can show the team you trust them and vice versa in other ways than telling them your secret ID. It's just too dangerous."

"Dawn's already told the team her real name and nothing's happened to her or us because of it" Robin yelled pointing at me.

It took all my will power to refrain from pinching the bridge of my nose in irritation and slapping him upside the head for his slip up.

Bruce cocked his head to the side and glared at me "and that was something she was not supposed to or had permission to do" he growled reprimanding me.

"Nice job Rob just throw me under the bus why don't ya. You weren't supposed to say all that bird for brain!" I ranted in his head.

"Oops sorry, it slipped" he apologized before I refocused my attention on Bruce.

"Yes I told the team my name, and I don't regret my decision. Like Dick said I trust the team with my life, plus this just strengthens his argument about them being trustworthy. The team's known my identity for weeks now, and yet they've been careful not to say my name around any of the League members and they haven't told anybody outside the team. They've done such a good job at hiding it that you didn't even know they knew" I pointed out, standing up for the team.

"I know you're just looking out for Dawn and I Bruce, I get it, but if I ever had to tell someone the team is the best choice. They know how to keep a secret and can come up with a believable lie on a whim if someone asks them about it. If it helps I'll do anything to make up for telling them if you give me permission. I'll clean the batcave, I'll sharpen the weapons, I'll do everyone's laundry, I'll even wash all the bikes with a toothbrush if I have to, just tell me what I have to do and I'll do it" Dick pleaded.

You know the saying the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife? Well that phrase definitely applies in this situation. As Bruce debated the pros and cons of the decision the tension between the two consumed the room until it had an almost stuffy suffocating feel to it. For the next ten minutes the only sound that was made was the screeching of the bats, the strong flapping of their wings, and the soft, steady, panting of our breaths.

Suddenly Bruce stood from his chair and strided over to Dick. He placed a firm hand on his shoulder and his face was graced with a small smile.

"Just make sure they understand that no one and I mean NO ONE other than the 7 of you are allowed to know. Not other members of the League, not their mentors, not their families, and definitely not anyone outside the hero society."

"Oh come on Bruce what do I have to…wait what?" Robin asked after he'd fully processed what Bruce had just said.

Bruce laughed and removed his hand from Dick's shoulder before turning back to his chair.

"Sooooooo just so I'm clear, that was you giving your permission right?" Dick asked as a huge grin spread across his face.

"Don't give me the chance to change my mind Dick" Bruce chuckled as he sat in his chair.

"No, no, no that won't be necessary. Thanks Bruce you're the best!" Dick declared as he gave Bruce a quick hug. Bruce grinned one of his rare grins and returned the hug.

"Yeah yeah, but this is a one-time thing Dick. I don't let you bend the rules very often so don't get used to it. And don't make me regret my decision."

"I know Bruce and trust me you won't" Dick vowed as he stepped away from the man.

Bruce nodded accepting the answer. I fist pumped and tackled Robin from behind unable to contain my excitement any longer. He staggered for a second but quickly regained his footing as I wrapped my arms around his neck giving him a weird backwards hug.

"See I told you you could do it!"

Bruce rolled his eyes good naturally as he watched us celebrate our little victory. "Alright you two, stop jumping around like crazy people before you break something."

Dick and I settled down and I slipped off his back.

I glided over to Bruce's chair and plopped down on the right armrest "So Bruce you're still picking up Sue for the game tonight right?"

He nodded "Yes we're still going together, Alfred's coming too. Surprisingly this is the one game he actually wants to attend. Kent's coming also to support the Metropolis team and take notes for the Daily Planet. And knowing you you're probably going to ask Barry, Iris, and the other mentors to tag along as well."

I grinned while placing a hand over my heart and pretended to be overcome with feelings of joy "Oh Bruce you know me so well."

I hopped off the chair and floated next to Robin. "Well Bruce we should probably get ready to go now. We still have to tell the team the good news, and get everyone ready for the game, which is in like 3 hours. Plus we still need to pack our overnight bags for the sleepover tonight. We were already planning on spending the night at the cave, but I think the team will enjoy going out to a game a lot more than just watching movies on the couch all day. Sue found out about our sleepover and since she loves the team so much she's invited everyone to spend the night at my house if they want instead of the cave."

"Alfred and I will be leaving in about an hour or so to pick up Sue. We're meeting Clark at the school before the game and if anyone else decides to come they can meet us there. I'm ok with the team staying over Sue's as long as they promise to be respectful, not damage anything in the house, and don't do anything to endanger my city. Anyone who breaks these rules will have to answer to me directly, and just out of pure curiosity what's the theme for tonight's game?" Bruce asked.

Robin and I glanced at each other grinning from ear to ear before turning back to Bruce.

"Superhero's" we answered simultaneously.

Bruce frowned "you can't go as yourselves" he interjected not giving us a chance to argue, not that we were planning to anyway.

"Don't worry Bruce we already thought of that, we're not stupid enough to go as our real other halves." I assured him.

He raised an eyebrow and leaned back in his chair "then who are you going as?"

I shook my index finger at him playfully "Nuh uh uh, you're just going to have to wait and see just like everyone else."

Robin huffed and folded his arms "yeah she won't even tell ME who she's going as. It's a surprise for everyone. We went to the store before we came here to get our costumes and she wouldn't let me see what she bought."

"Nothing…inappropriate I hope" Bruce said, but the way he said it made it sound more like an order than a question.

I just smiled and a mischievous twinkle came to my eyes. Bruce saw the look and immediately tried to comment but I beat him to it.

"Well would you look at the time, we should really be going Bruce; we'll see you later tonight." I grabbed Robin's hand and dragged him out of the room as Bruce yelled "I'm serious Dawn, nothing crazy or I'll personally drag you out of that stadium myself."

"You know you really shouldn't ruffle his feathers like that," Robin chided as we walked up to our rooms to pack. "You know he'll go all Daddy Bats on you."

I waved my hand dismissively and snorted "but it's so much fun, I just can't help myself."

He rolled his eyes as we went into our rooms and grabbed everything we needed for the night. I grabbed my outfit for the game, some makeup, my night-clothes, undergarments, IPod, books and all the other basic things I'd need for the night. Once we'd finished packing we walked back to the cave and said one last goodbye to Bruce before teleporting to the mountain.

Upon arriving at the cave we started walking towards the game room where we knew everyone would be hanging out. We walked into the room and thankfully everyone was already here so we didn't have to wait for anyone to reveal our surprise.

"Hey guys," I hollered as everyone looked up from whatever they were doing to look at us.

"Hey Dawn, hey Rob" KF greeted as he speed over to give me a hug and Robin a high-five. I threw my bag onto the couch before flying around the room to give everyone a hug. Once all the greetings were over I returned to Robin's side.

"It's time," I told him through the link.

I heard him take a mental deep breath as I stood by his side and patiently waited for him to start the conversation.

"Guys we…I have something to tell you" he started after a moment's pause. The team must've noticed Robin's change in demeanor because the room instantly went quiet.

KF looked at Robin quizzically before asking "yeah Rob what's on your mind?"

"You all might want to take a seat for this" he answered before walking towards the sitting area.

The team looked at each other and I noticed that each person had a different expression on their face. Some had suspicion, others confusion, but the one emotion everyone shared was worry.

Eventually they broke eye contact and walked over to the large couch. Since the couch wasn't large enough for everyone to sit on the boys let the girls sit first. Aqualad sat in the remaining seat to the right of Megan who was sitting in the middle. KF and SB sat on the floor directly in front of the girls feet. Once everyone was seated and comfortable Aqualad nodded to Robin queuing him to continue.

"Ok so I've thought about this for a while now and I think it's time the team knew something about me that I've been hiding. I've already consulted with Batman and Dawn about it and after a little persuasion they've both agreed."

I sat on the edge of the table directly behind Robin as he started the conversation. Even though I was sitting low to the ground I was still by his side and in his line of vision.

"Dude what are you talking about" Wally asked before taking a sip of the water bottle in his hands.

"I think it's time you all knew my secret identity" Dick admitted and it was at that moment that I pulled out the camera I'd been hiding behind my back. I quickly pulled it out and snapped a photo of the team's reaction before laughing to myself quietly.

Robin heard my laughter and turned to see the camera in my hand. "You got?" he asked the amusement evident in his voice.

I scoffed "uh duh! What kind of question is that? Of course I got it and your lack of confidence in my abilities wounds me! Oh I'm so buying a frame for this first thing in the morning and it's being displayed on the shelf forever. You guys should've seen the looks on your faces… ha priceless!"

Obviously the team still hadn't gotten over their initial shock because they were all staring at Robin like he'd suddenly gone crazy. Their eyes were bugged out of their heads like cartoon characters and their jaws were literally scrapping the ground.

Not expecting Robin's sudden revelation Wally spit out the water he'd been drinking drenching his shirt, pants, shoes, and the carpet in front of him. His reaction was so funny that I literally fell back on the table and laughed myself to tears as I watched him gap like a fish.

Once my laughter had abated from an insane cackle to a few small chuckles here and there I wiped the tears from my eyes and snapped my fingers in front of the team's faces to break them out of their trances. "Uh hello? Is anyone still in there or do I need to wake you guys up with a nice cold splash of water to the face."

Knowing that I wasn't joking and would actually splash them with freezing cold water they all shook their heads and pulled themselves out of their frozen states.

"Ok who are you and what have you done with Rob" Wally asked as he jumped up and ran over to Robin. He started poking and prodding him in the side while using his super speed to run circles around him. He grabbed Robin's head and started twisting and turning it into awkward positions like he was looking for an off switch or something.

"Are you a clone, a humanoid droid, or NO I've got it a group of aliens grabbed him from school and this is one of their shape shifting scouts imitating Robin so they can infiltrate our ranks from the inside!" Wally rambled as he painfully turned Robin's head to the right causing Rob to flinch before rolling his eyes in frustration.

"DON'T WORRY ROB WE'LL SAVE YOU BUDDY!" Wally yelled as he continued his ridiculous search.

I slammed my hand to my forehead and shook my head. "Oh KF what are we going to do with you."

Robin rolled his eyes and with a flick of his wrist pulled something small out his pocket. I smirked as I saw the familiar red R on the side of a sleek black pen. He pushed the top of the pen and activated Blackout's transformation.

Robin spun and twisted out of KF's grip as the staff elongated to full length before whacking his friend upside the head with the newly formed staff. KF yelped in pain and fell to the floor while Robin spun the staff until the end with electricity crackling from it was pointed centimeters away from KF's nose.

"First of all KF don't you EVER do that again or the term Blackout will mean much more than just the name of my staff. Second I can assure you I'm not a clone, a humanoid droid, or a shape-shifting alien impersonating myself in order to infiltrate our ranks from the inside. Now if you need me to demonstrate on your head why my staff earned the name Blackout to prove my point I'll gladly oblige."

Wally rubbed his head and looked up at Robin "never mind that's Rob. He's the only one I know that can hit that hard with a staff and still be playful about it. Especially when you can still make threatening to zap your best friend with a staff that has enough electricity to knock him unconscious sound friendly."

I laughed as Robin returned the staff to pen form and slipped it back into his pocket before offering his hand to help pull Wally off the floor.

"Admit it KF for a split second you were scared when he had you pinned to the floor with Blackout in your face" I taunted as he stood.

"Yeah well you'd be slightly unnerved too if your best friend had an electric staff pointed at your throat while threatening to knock your lights out. He might have said it playfully, but we both know him Dawn. He might have said it playfully, but under that playfulness I knew he'd actually do it" Wally defended as he leaned down and placed his hand over his mouth like he was telling me a secret and that would stop everyone from hearing, even though it didn't.

"Plus did you see the look in his eyes? I swear for a second he actually looked excited at the idea of zapping me!" he whisper yelled.

I raised an eyebrow, but didn't deny his statement. He was right; we both know Robin, and I wouldn't have been surprised if he did actually zap Wally a time or two. However, in his defense KF would've deserved it. If KF had done to me what he did to Rob I probably would have hit him upside the head with the staff a couple of times myself.

"You know you really need to work on your whispering Baywatch because we all heard you, and we didn't need super hearing to do it either" Artemis interrupted while simultaneously criticizing Wally.

"Dang it" Wally muttered to himself.

"And just so you know KF I would've zapped you if you'd continued your ridiculous prodding" Robin answered while grinning like a madman.

Wally glanced at Robin wearily "If we weren't such good friends I'd be scared by that look. Actually…no scratch that, I've seen that look way too many times and know what it implies so truthfully I'm extremely scared of that look."

Robin continued to grin until KF finally snapped under the gaze "Will you quit looking at me like that, it's creepy! You're like the creepy kiddy version of Bats. Sometimes I think I fear you more than him just because you act so cheery and playful about everything, especially when you're fighting."

Robin just shrugged "I have no idea what you're talking about" he denied even though we both knew he knew exactly what KF was talking about.

"Anyways can we please get back on track because we only have two and a half hours before the game and I really want to get good seats this year since I actually know people on the team" I interrupted as I glanced at my watch to see the time.

"Game? What game?" Aqualad asked me.

"I'll explain after Robin finishes."

"Yes now before I take off my glasses there are some rules I have to make clear. First my identity doesn't, under any circumstances, leave this room. You don't tell your mentors, your friends, your family, no one must know this information except for us 7. I trust you guys I don't trust everyone else.

The only people who know my identity other than you 7 and Batman are Barry, Iris, Aunt Sue, Canary, Wonder Woman, Superman, J'onn, Hal, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Sasha, and Alfred, the last two you'll meet later tonight. Second, if you ever repeat what is said in this room to anybody, which I highly doubt, I can't protect you from whatever punishment Batman or Dawn decide to give you. And truthfully I'd be more afraid of what Dawn will do to you than what Batman will. Does everyone understand?"

Everyone nodded and leaned in expectantly as Robin raised his hand to his glasses. "Well then without further ado allow me to introduce myself properly this time."

He wrapped his fingers around the side of his shades and pulled them off his face. His eyes were closed when he pulled them off for the first time and everyone gasped when he opened his eyes. I smiled knowing that was exactly how I reacted when I saw his bright shimmering blue eyes for the first time. If you weren't careful you could easily get lost and stare into them for hours. I've known Robin for years and his eyes still mesmerize me upon occasion.

"Hi I'm Richard Grayson, but my friends call me Dick."

"Who would've guessed you had such bright eyes under those dark and dreary shades" Megan gapped.

"Wait a minute, I know you" Artemis said as she leaned in to get a closer look at Dick's face before her eyes widened in realization. "OMG you go to my school. We've been attending the same school for weeks now and I never knew. Actually now that I think about it it's kind of obvious, especially since you hang out with Dawn like 24/7 at school, but I never even suspected it was YOU of all people. I sure feel stupid now."

"Oh good Artemis we're finally making a break through. Admitting it is the first step" Wally jeered before Artemis slapped him upside the head shutting him up.

"If you didn't suspect anything then I'm doing my job right" Robin said to Artemis.

"If we get to know your secret ID does this mean we get to know Batman's as well?" Aqualad asked.

Robin nodded "Yeah he's my guardian… Bruce Wayne."

"Wait you mean the billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne" Conner said incredulously.

I grinned, "Yep that's the one, I'm guessing you've heard of him."

"Who hasn't" Artemis answered.

"Touché" I agreed, "not what you were expecting I'm guessing?"

Conner shook his head "nope."

Artemis grinned at Dick "Cute and rich, not a bad combination bird brain" she teased making Robin and I roll our eyes.

For the next hour or so Robin told the team his back story. He told them about his parents, his first meeting with Bruce, how and why Bruce adopted him, and how he eventually persuaded Bruce into letting him become his partner, thus creating Robin the first superhero sidekick. We told them about Alfred and why Sue knows everything because she's been Bruce's best friend since childhood. The team sat on the couch quietly and listened intently, only interrupting every few minutes to ask a question.

Once Rob finished his story and everyone was cool with who he was I clapped my hands to grab everyone's attention.

"Alright well now that that's out-of-the-way I think it's time we move on. I wanted to ask if you all wanted to go to the game tonight. Today's game night and tonight our school, Gotham Academy, is having its huge rival game against the Metropolis Daredevil's.

It's a huge game and since its been one of those two teams for the past 15 years, everyone goes to see who's going to be the high school champions of the year. Since you all know Robin and Bruce's ID I thought it would be fun if we all went to the game together. Since half of you have never been to a football game in the first place it'll not only be a good cultural experience, but a good team bonding opportunity as well. It's a chance for us to act like normal teenagers for once instead of hanging out at the cave all day. Oh and Aunt Sue's invited the team to spend the night at my place after the game if you want."

Megan squealed "Oh that sounds like so much fun. I'd eventually go to a football game since I'm a cheerleader at school, but it'll be even better if I went to my first game with the team. And you know I love Aunt Sue so I'd love to spend the night. Maybe she can finally teach me how to make that famous chocolate cake of hers!"

"I agree it would be nice to leave the cave and act like normal teens for a while. Plus I've never been to this so-called "football game" and I've wanted to go to one for a while. I find it fascinating how people here get excited by boys willingly tackling and trampling each other to make a goal for sport. It reminds me of the warrior competitions back in Atlantis. Though the warriors usually fight one on one instead of using a team I believe it still revolves around the same concept. And it would be rude of me not to accept such a generous invitation from Sue" Aqualad answered. "I gladly accept the offer."

Conner shrugged with indifference "Yeah sure why not."

"You know I'm always game for Sue's cooking" Wally answered.

"I call first dibs on sleeping in a bed," Artemis yelled as her way of agreeing.

I grinned "great oh and just so you know every year the game has a theme that all the teens have to follow as part of the dress code. Ironically this year the theme's Superhero's so we all have to dress up as superheroes. I'd recommend that you not go as yourselves, but then again no one's going to remember if you do because there'll be twenty million other teens with the same costumes on just not as... accurate."

I flipped off the table and grabbed my bag from the corner of the couch.

"Hey Wally you mind texting Barry and Iris for me to see if they want to come?" I asked "Bruce, Alfred, Sue, and Clark are going to be there and if they want to come they can meet us at the game."

He nodded and pulled his phone out of his pocket to text his uncle. I turned to Artemis as she stretched her back.

"You can ask Ollie and Dinah to see if they want to come too Artemis. It'll be like a big team event for everyone. Megan you can ask J'onn and Aqualad you can ask Aquaman as well. Tell them to wear something black, dark blue, grey or white cause those are the school colors."

Artemis pulled her phone out of her pocket while Megan placed her hands to her head and concentrated on contacting her uncle. Aqualad pulled out a weird-looking communicator that I suspect was given to him by Aquaman just in case he needed to make contact, but it wasn't an immediate distress call.

While the three worked on contacting their people Wally's phone buzzed indicating that he'd just received a new text message. He read the message and quickly typed back a response before returning the phone to his front right pocket.

"Barry and Iris are coming. They talked to Sue and are meeting up with Bruce and Sue at your place."

"Both Ollie and Dinah said they can go as well. They're driving together and will meet everyone at the game" Artemis informed the group.

"I've just made contact with Uncle J'onn and he says he'd love to join us. He'll teleport to Gotham as soon as he finishes sorting some League files" Megan said as she let her hands fall back to her sides.

"My king has also agreed to attend. He admits that he's just as interested in this game as I am" Aqualad replied as he slipped the communicator back in his pocket.

"Well alright then, today just got a lot more interesting. Anyways now that everyone is informed about the game it's time to get ready," I said before making my way towards the hall that would lead to my room.

"So Dawn what superhero are you going as" Megan asked as everyone stood to get ready.

I turned my head and gave her a mischievous grin, "that my friend is classified above top-secret." I quickly turned on my heels and floated out of the room.

I glided down the hall until I came up to my room. I punched in the code unlocking the door and quickly walked inside. I knew Megan wouldn't have a problem finding an outfit in such short notice since she can change her clothes, hair, and makeup into anything she wants within seconds. Artemis already knew about the game so she was prepared. Wally also knew about the game since Robin told him about it earlier in the week. The only ones who'd have the most trouble finding a suitable costume would be Conner and Kaldur. Knowing Conner he's just going to go as himself and wear his generic Superman shirt with a pair of jeans and combat boots, which for him is fine. As for Kaldur I honestly have no idea what he's going to do.

As I turned on the shower I heard a soft knock on my door. I walked out of the bathroom and opened my door to see Megan and Artemis in bathrobe's each holding a small bag.

"Hey Dawn we were wondering if we could get ready in your room" Megan asked cheerfully.

"Yeah of course, come on in. I was just about to hop into the shower, but you can both take a turn after I'm done then we can help each other with our hair and makeup." I answered as they rushed into the room. I looked down at my watch and took into account that we had a little over an hour before we had to go.

"Hey Megan can you tell everyone that we have a little over an hour before we need leave" I asked as I stripped and stepped into the shower.

"Yes I can do that" I heard her say through the door as I rubbed myself clean. After I'd finished my shower I wrapped myself in a towel but left the water running so the next person wouldn't have to wait for the water to get warm again. I opened the door and walked out of the bathroom letting Artemis walk in and take her shower.

Megan was standing in front of my floor length mirror changing her clothes and hair multiple times trying to find the perfect outfit. I walked over to my bag and slipped on my undergarments before putting on my dark blue bathrobe.

I grabbed my makeup and placed it on the desk off to the side of the room. Once my makeup was out and ordered on the desk I pulled out my lotion bottle and started putting it on. Artemis walked out of the now steaming bathroom in her bathrobe allowing Megan to take her turn.

Once everyone was showered and lotioned up we dragged the large desk chair over to the floor length mirror and took turns getting our hair and makeup done.

While one of us was sitting in the chair the other two would work on their hair and makeup. One person would focus on the hair while the other focused on the makeup. Once one person was done they'd switch with someone else and then the process would start all over again.

Artemis and I were the only ones who actually had to sit in the chair and wait to get our hair and makeup done though. When it was Megan's turn she just sat in the chair while we gave her suggestions and pointers as she changed her hair and makeup multiple times using her powers until we were all satisfied.

By the time we'd finished everyone's hair and makeup we only had about 15 minutes left. Artemis and I rushed over to our bags and pulled out our clothes and accessories before changing. Megan just closed her eyes and focused on transforming her clothes into her costume. Artemis changed in the corner of the room while I changed in the bathroom so when I walked out dressed and ready to go we were all surprised to see what everyone had on.

I'll start with Artemis first. Artemis was dressed up as Wonder Woman. She wore the red, blue, white and gold one piece uniform with a thick gold belt wrapped snuggly around her slim waist. Silver bracelets covered each of her wrists making them look like Wonder Woman's bulletproof bracelets. A small gold crown was perched on the top of her head pulling back her long blond tresses, which, for once, were freely hanging down her back. Her hair was slightly curled so it had a little bounce to it and flowed around her gracefully accenting her movements, giving her a graceful yet powerful look. Her boots were a deep red and reached up to just below the knees. Since she wasn't a huge makeup lover she wore very little of it only having on a small amount of gold eye shadow and mascara to accent her eyes. Her lips shimmered when they hit the light due to the lipstick and gloss she'd just applied. Her costume was very convincing and if I didn't know any better I would've said it was the real thing. I'll have to ask her where she got it later.

Anyways moving on to Megan. Megan was dressed up as Raven and the costume fit her perfectly, even though the person is basically her exact opposite. She wore a dark blue, almost black, leotard with a gold belt accenting her hips. A floor length cloak, the same color as the leo, was draped over her shoulders connected to the leo by two small gold clasps. The cloak was long but it wasn't long enough to where it dragged on the floor so people could step on it. The end of the cloak barely brushed the ground when she stood and it swirled around her silently and elegantly whenever she moved. The hood attached to the cloak was pulled back leaving her head exposed and uncovered. Covering each of her hands was a pair of dark blue gloves reaching up to her elbows. Covering her feet were knee-high dark blue boots with a small heel. Her skin was no longer green and was now Caucasian for her human form. We decided to leave her hair the same and it hung loosely over her shoulders. She, like Artemis, didn't have a whole bunch of makeup on. She wore dark eye shadow and had on shiny dark blue lipstick to match her costume, but that was about it.

And now finally on to what I know you've all been waiting for, what I'm wearing. Since I couldn't go as Shade I went for another female superhero that I look up to and admire. For my costume I decided to go as Supergirl. As for my outfit I was wearing a tight long-sleeved light blue shirt with the legendary Superman symbol on the chest. The shirt cut off half way between my belly button and my bust line leaving part of my toned stomach exposed. Covering my lower half was a fluttery red skirt that went down to about mid-thigh. It was a little short for my liking but it was the only uniform they had in my size so I had to deal with it.

To help ease my mind of the fact that I was wearing a mini skirt I wore back volleyball shorts underneath it. This way I wasn't worried about showing my underwear to the world. My shoes were bright red knee-high boots with blue accents. They had a slight heel to them but not too high to where they'd get uncomfortable if I was standing or walking for a long period of time. All in all they were comfortable yet stylish. Hanging from my shoulders was a bright red cape that reached down to the end of my skirt. I had on red lipstick, light eye shadow to accent my eyes, and small amounts of blush on my cheeks. I had on slightly more makeup than Artemis or Megan did but I didn't have on too much so I didn't look pasty or caked up. I had makeup on but it accented my natural attributes perfectly. The ends of my dark brown hair were curled so it draped across my shoulders and waved down my back.

All in all once I'd gotten a good look at everyone's outfit I could say without any hesitation that we looked HOT!

I let out a long low whistle "Dang girls you sure do know how to dress to impress."

Artemis laughed, "Well look whose talking Mrs. I look amazing!" she complimented as she took my hand and spun me around forcing me to twirl for them.

Megan jumped up and down and clapped giddily "Oh you look great… no better than great, you look H-O-T HOT! We're not going to get the chance to enjoy the game because all our time is going to be spent keeping you away from all the boys throwing themselves at you" she said as she rushed over and tackled me in a hug, her cape enveloping us both.

I patted her on the back "Yeah ok Megan I get it you like the outfit, but a girl still needs to breath" I choked as she squeezed me with strength I didn't even know she had.

She released me and chuckled sheepishly "right sorry I'm just really excited" she admitted as she patted my hair to get it back to the way it was before she tackled me.

"You don't look half bad yourself Megan, Raven was a good choice for you." I concluded before accessing our private mental channel.

"Conner's going to have a hard time looking away with you wearing that all night. And you talk about having to keep the boys away from me just wait until they see you. Conner's probably going to blow a casket when he sees how many stares you get."

Megan blushed deep red and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear as I turned to Artemis. "Oh and don't think I forgot about you Missy. Wonder Woman was a perfect choice for you. You're both not only drop dead gorgeous, but you're also strong, independent, kick ass women. If anyone's worthy of having her costume on today it's you," I said wrapping an arm around both of their shoulders.

We all grinned as I looked down at my watch and gasped; we had exactly 5 minutes before it's time to go. I ran over to the counter and grabbed a bottle of perfume to spray myself with. I let Artemis and Megan choose the ones they wanted from my large selection. We all grabbed our money, phones, glosses, and any other necessities we'd need for the night before walking out of the room, our boots clicking down the hall as we went.

We briskly walked down the hall and talked about random stuff until we got to the main hanger were all the boys were already waiting. Our capes fluttered behind us as we walked into the room and the boys turned as they heard our laughter ringing down the halls. The room instantly went quiet as the boy's conversation came to an abrupt halt when we came in. They all turned and froze when they saw us; every single one of their jaws hit the floor and I swear some of them almost fainted. They just stared as we walked over.

I raised an eyebrow and snapped my fingers in front of their faces snapping them out of their trances.

"Ok seriously people how many times do I have to snap you all out of your weird trances," I mumbled as I placed a hand on my jutted out hip.

Wally rubbed his eyes before opening them again to stare at us "ok sorry just had to make sure I wasn't dreaming" he whispered earning a slap in the arm from me.

"You guys ok, you seem a little lost for words" Artemis asked crossing her arms across her chest.

"We're fine Artemis just…a little surprised by your outfit choices. You all look beautiful though" Kaldur complimented being the first to fully recover and still being the gentlemen he always is.

"Yeah you all look gorgeous…maybe a little too gorgeous" KF added "I don't know if I like the idea of my surrogate sister going out to a high school football game in a tight cut off shirt and a mini skirt."

Conner nodded in agreement pointing at KF as if to say 'yeah what he said!'

"I have shorts on underneath the skirt," I said trying to make it sound better.

"Oh you've got shorts on underneath the skirt, well that just changes everything doesn't it…NOT" Wally said sarcastically before getting serious again.

I rolled my eyes "How come I'm the only one being judged here. Uh hello have you not seen Artemis and Megan's outfits, who I must point out, are wearing leotards." I said pointing.

"Hey!" Artemis and Megan yelled in unison.

"Sorry girls, but I'm not taking all the heat for this one. If I'm going down I'm taking you two down with me" I said before turning back to the boys.

"So much for girls sticking together" Artemis mumbled to herself.

"I know I love you too Artemis" I replied smartly. "But anyways none of us are changing so you guys better get over it, and trust me when I say there'll be girls there who have on way worse things than we do. Oh and you all don't look half bad yourselves" I said diverting the conversation.

Megan and Artemis seemed to notice what the boys were wearing for the first time.

As predicted Conner was wearing his usual uniform and Kaldur was also dressed up in his Aqualad gear just because he didn't have anything else to wear.

Wally decided to go as a Green Lantern. His suit was like Hal Jordan's and a green ring was wrapped around his right index finger. A green domino mask was half hanging out of his front left pocket.

Robin's costume, however, was the most surprising of the four. Instead of going as Batman or the Flash like I assumed he would he was dressed up as Captain Marvel. He had on the red suit with the large gold lightning bolt on his chest. A golden cloth sash was wrapped around his waist and a pair of gold mid-calf boots covered his feet. The small white and gold cape was hanging from his right shoulder. His suit was tight at the top and hugged his muscles perfectly making him look bigger than he normally does.

"Well you know if we're going to go we have to go in style. We can't be shown up in the superhero theme especially since we know these people personally, it'd be a disgrace to the name if we didn't bring our A-game" KF reasoned as he flexed his muscles.

"Alright well now that we're all here can we please get going. We have to get there early if we want to get good seats," Robin said.

"Alright gang let's get this party started!" I yelled as I wrapped an arm around Robin's shoulder.

We all started walking towards the zeta tubes and as we walked Robin leaned over and whispered in my ear "By the way you look great Dawn. Supergirl's a good look for you."

For some reason shivers ran down my spine upon hearing his compliment, but I quickly brushed them aside and ignored the feeling "you don't look half bad yourself Boy Wonder."

We smirked at each other before walking into the zeta beam as it warmed up and buzzed getting ready to transport us to the nearest zeta beam transport to the school.

Just before we teleported out of the cave I pumped my fist in the air and yelled "Let's go Knights!"

OMG this chapter was soooooo much fun to write, but it was also long and difficult. I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while but school has kept me super busy and it didn't help that it took me forever to figure out how I wanted to write this chapter, especially the scene about Dick revealing his secret ID. Thankfully its spring break so I was finally able to sit down and work on this for hours without any interruption.

I was going to add the game scene in this chapter but I felt like it would be too long and I really wanted to focus on the conversation's about Robin and his reveal, I felt like that was more important. Plus as a bonus I'll be able to go into more detail for the game later. I'm super excited to write the game scene, the teams reaction to meeting David and his friends for the first time, and what everyone thinks of the team's costumes.

Please review they help me a lot and inspire me to keep writing, they're really appreciated. If you have any suggestions for the story or how to improve my writing, please let me know, I'd love to hear them!
