Haruhi and Kairi walked down the street with a shopping bag in each hand, each bag had a different logo on the front of the bag. They both giggled as they exchanged stories about when they were children and their experience with the host club.
"So when do you think you should reveal yourself as a girl?" Kairi asked.
"I don't know. I was hoping that I can just wear a dress and no one will be angry that I kept it a secret for so long."
"You're well liked Haruhi, they won't be mad."
"What about you? Are you going to reveal it?"
"Nah. 'Kaoru' has been around since middle school. I can transform into him in mere minutes. I'm going to take him to my grave with me."
Haruhi chuckled. "Maybe I should do the sa"-
"HARUHI!"
A black limousine stopped next to them and Tamaki popped out of the sunroof. His face was shining with excitement since he found his daughter once again. "There you are! Daddy is here for you!"
"Should we run for it?" Haruhi asked Kairi.
"In your shoes?" Kairi commented. "You wouldn't last half a mile without breaking a strap. Also they're in a car so it's best to surrender in a game we can't win."
"Hmm, I agree." Said Haruhi.
They went to the car and the door opened for them, Haruhi went in first but was immediately pulled in by Tamaki and she was brought onto his lap, he was cuddling with her with his arms wrapped around her waist. "I was so worried about you Haruhi! Never leave daddy's side ever again ok!"
"I rather take my chances with the broken strap." Haruhi thought.
Kairi climbed into the limo and sat herself between Hikaru and Kyoya, who was still in a grumpy mood as the dark aura still appeared around his body. "Had a nice day so far, Kyoya-kun?" Kairi asked.
He shot her a glare meaning shut the fuck up, making her giggle.
"Haru-chan!" Honey exclaimed while sitting on Takashi's lap. "Can you tell us what a sleep over is?"
"A sleepover? There's not really much to tell. It's just a bunch of friends hanging together and sleeping in the hosts room." Haruhi commented.
"Huh? No its no Haruhi!" said Tamaki. "There is much more than that! There are many rituals commoners perform during this 'sleepover'. They play with makeup to paint on their faces, they use pillows to fight each other with, they share gossip, watch movies, eat a bunch of food and they stay up all night! Right Haruhi?"
"Uh…I guess. I never really been to a sleepover before."
"But moreover, Tamaki pretty much covered the basics." Kairi commented.
"If you're thinking of having a sleepover, leave me out of it." Haruhi commented.
"Leave me out of it as well." Kyoya commented.
"Oh come on! It would be so much fun! None of us ever had a sleepover so now would be the greatest time more than ever!"
None of them really had a choice, once the king had something on his mind, everyone had to do it. They arrived at Tamaki's home where a group of servants waited for them outside, once they got out of the car, the servants started to unpack seven bags from the trunk. It turns out Tamaki snuck into everyone's homes and stole their clothes for the sleepover. They entered the mansion and they came into a room where it was full of mattresses and pillows. On one side it held a flat screen TV with various game stations underneath and a large DVD collection next to it. On the other side there was a table full of delicious food and desserts just waiting for them. This room was a sleep over heaven. They all changed into the pajamas Tamaki stole from their homes and the fun began.
First they devoured themselves with the delicious food, though barely any desserts were left since Honey ate all the cakes in one sitting. After lunch, they jumped all over the mattresses and threw pillows at each other in a pillow fight. They worked in teams; Takashi, Honey and Kyoya against Tamaki, Haruhi, Hikaru and Kairi. Due to Takashi and Honey's strength from their martial arts training, the opposing team lost within a heartbeat.
After much fun, they decided to settle down and watch a few movies together. Tamaki looked through the selection that they had and decided on the movie 'Frozen'. He popped it into the dvd player and pressed play. The lights were turned off and the surround sound was on, the show started.
Kyoya could care less about this movie, he sat way behind the group in hoping to catch some sleep but he couldn't at all. So instead he laid on his side and watched the movie with the others. The movie played until something caught an interest in Kyoya's eyes. Queen Elsa was discovered that she had ice powers and ran into the mountains to isolate herself from the townspeople and her sister. Suddenly she began to sing her song "Let It Go" on how she was free to do as she pleases with her powers where fear doesn't control her anymore. Kyoya sat up from this song, he felt…a connection…to this song. He couldn't explain it but he felt something inside…as if something was telling him a secret he should've known long ago. He fell into deep thought and ignored the rest of the movie. The song kept replaying over and over into his head, why did it mean something to him! What does it mean!
After Frozen they watch various movies and soon fell asleep when they found out they were watching movies until 3am in the morning. Kyoya was laying on his back, still deep in thought in the darkness. He should be getting sleep since he didn't at all last night…but he couldn't.
"Psst."
Kyoya turned his head only to see Kairi laying next to him, he didn't even notice she was there. But he did see Hikaru sleeping next to her, snuggling close to her.
"Are you ok?" She whispered to him.
"I'm fine." He replied, he turned his attention to the dark ceiling. "I just can't sleep that's all."
"Did you like the movie?"
"It was ok…nothing really special."
"Hmm…I saw the movie time and again when I was in America. It was always my favorite and the song Let It Go is very inspiring." She whispered to him, she knew he was listening to her. "Also Elsa...reminds me of you."
He turned to her when she compared him to her.
"I mean, we all have a weight bearing down on us because they put it on us, we didn't ask for it. Just like Elsa, she was blessed with the power of snow…but did she really wanted it? Because of it, she accidently hurt her sister. She didn't mean to but then she had to hide who she was and pretend to have this good girl image to be the Queen. Kinda like you. You have this title on you as the third son that it's impossible to accomplish anything for your family. Don't you ever feel like there is another you just aching to come out?"
Kyoya thought about her words. "…Sometimes."
"Then you just need to 'Let It Go'." Kairi smirked at her pun but Kyoya remained poker face. "Hmm, good night Kyoya, sweet dreams."
She laid back down and turned her back to Kyoya to sleep on her right side. Kyoya suddenly felt a little relieved, possibly his question was answered but…can he really break free…just like Elsa? With the final thought, he drifted off into his dream of snow and turning Tamaki into a snowman.
No one woke up until the next afternoon, they all agreed never again to sleep so late even if Tamaki begged. They hated waking up so late. They ate brunch at Tamaki's house and Tamaki had the limo driver send them home.
Kairi couldn't wait to take a shower! No scratch that a warm bath! Once she got home, she let the yakuza members take her things as she went inside her home. "Mom! Dad! I'm home!"
She went into the living room and didn't find them there, then she checked their bedroom but it was empty as well. They must've gone out while she was at Tamaki's. Well at least she had the house to herself!
RIING RIING!
Just as Kairi was about to leave, she saw her mother's phone ringing from the bed. She was probably calling it from wherever she was to find it. Kairi went over to answer it but she froze, from the caller id it read a number she wish never existed. She had to read the ten numbers to make sure she wasn't dreaming…it was him.
With a shaken hand she grabbed the phone and pressed the button to answer it. Her heart seemed to have stopped beating…she couldn't breathe. She slowly pressed the phone against her ear…but no sound came out of her mouth.
"Hello?...Stephanie?" A rough male voice came from the other line, Kairi recognized it. Why would he be calling her mother? Better yet, how did he found them? "Stephanie?...Kairi?"
Once she heard him saying her name, she hung up.
