Hey you guys! You'll see some sentimental end AU's on these final chapters of this story because… well this story was made during a new age of writing basically. It's almost been a year since I started this story and a lot of things have happened… and it's been crazy.

Anyways, enough of personal AUs for now, I mean no one wants those things since that one review that was posted a few months back so here's Chapter 25 or Part 2 of RWY's encounter with Cinder…

At this moment, I'm on the verge of having a panic attack. It was just me against Cinder Fall and there was no means of escape if things get bad. She had disappeared in the flames that surrounded us and I don't know where she could be. I held Crescent Rose tightly, managing to keep my focus on the fight and not my odds against her. There is no way I can lose… it's not an option. I thought repeatedly. Losing to Cinder will kill me and the others too and I do not want that. Yang's down, possibly in critical condition too and Weiss was with her, making sure she can pull through long enough for her to get help. Looking around, I noticed trees catching fire and the flames spread to other trees. We were all caught in a forest fire. Surely someone noticed right?

I was snapped back into reality when I heard my opponent's laughter echoing all around me. "Give up Ruby Rose! There is no way out of this alive!" Cinder exclaimed.

I gritted my teeth and shook my head as if she can see me. "If there is no way out alive, then I'll die fighting!" I replied. A moment passed, then she made her first move with an aerial slash that I barely parried. I combat rolled away from her and waited for her next move. She smirked at me, then she combined her swords to make a bow. My eyes widened. How the heck can she do that?! I screamed mentally. She can conjure swords and she can combine them to make a bow?! Now that's just unfair! She conjured an arrow and secured it on the string of the bow before pulling it back in a split second.

I used Crescent Rose's recoil as I shot a bullet to dodge the arrow that was flying towards me quickly, making me fly a few feet to the left. I took this chance as I flew to spin and aim at Cinder, shooting another round at her this time. Please hit! I cheered with a fist pump when the round had hit her in the chest, making her groan softly but she had her aura up and didn't show any sort of physical damage. "I do have an aura also Rose… but it's much stronger than yours."

I groaned in annoyance and kept shooting. "I. Thought. You. Didn't, Have a. Heart!" I shot twice at the last word but the bullets I had used went to waste as she dodged them gracefully.

"Are you finished?" she asked. I clicked a button on my rifle and the empty mag dropped to the ground, signaling that I was finished with my barrage of bullets. I quickly went to grab another magazine from my belt when she lunged at me, grabbing my neck with one of her hands while the other held one of her swords. "You made this too easy for me Ruby… of course you are weak but I was expecting some sort of challenge." I whimpered and closed my eyes when she readied her sword, aiming it at my gut, but it never happened. I felt her hand release me and I fell to the ground with a thud. I opened my eyes and noticed that Cinder was not there but a shard of ice that began to melt due to the heat. Taking the chance, I got up quickly and realized that she had rolled away from one of Weiss' attacks, my white-haired girlfriend standing in front of me in a defensive posture.

"Weiss!" I exclaimed and put her in a tight embrace of relief but she pulled away from me.

"Not the time Ruby!" she replied and turned back to Cinder.

"W-what about Yang?!" I exclaimed.

"She's fine! I had someone get her to the infirmary!"

Who could that be though? Did she call Neptune? Cinder chuckled evilly and walked towards us. "Well if it isn't Weiss Schnee! Did you come to see the death of your girlfriend?!" she exclaimed.

Weiss pointed the tip of her rapier, Myrtenaster, at the black-haired woman. "She's not dying here tonight! I won't allow it!"

Cinder shook her head and sighed. "I wish I could kill you too, but I need you for something else."

I looked at my girlfriend and our opponent. I want her to stay and fight with me but I can't have her in harm's way. I thought and stepped in front of Weiss. "Ruby, what are you doing?!"

I turned to her and kissed her lips which made her return it quickly. After a few seconds, I pulled away and hugged her tightly. "I need you to stay out of the way… I don't want you to get hurt, even though I know you have aura but her attacks are strong and it still hurts despite having it up."

"B-but-"

I interrupted her with angst. "I don't want to see you dying again!" She stopped speaking but her shocked expression quickly turned to one of fear and I sighed. "After what happened during that blizzard, I don't want to see you in that state again. Cinder isn't some sort of Grimm and she needs you for something but she still has the capability to hurt you a lot. Please… don't involve yourself in this fight."

Weiss gave me a smile but shook her head. "I want to help you Ruby; I'm not leaving you to face this threat alone." I began to protest but she placed a finger on my lips. "Now it's my turn to argue… Ruby Rose, as your partner AND girlfriend, I will never leave you alone in the face of danger! That's absurd of me to do such a thing and the last thing I need is for you to die. We've only known about our love days ago and-"

We turned to Cinder when she cleared her throat loudly. "I believe we don't have time for love talk."

I looked at Weiss and smiled. "Okay… thank you for sticking with me." I said.

She smiled back. "I'll stick with you until the end."

And with that, my girlfriend was at my side, scaling our odds against Cinder enough for us to have a good chance of defeating her. We made our move first. "Alright… ice flower!" I planted my scythe into the ground and aimed the barrel of my rifle at her as Weiss created a glyph. Then when I pulled the trigger, it shot a bullet with the glyph adding an extra amount of power in it, hitting Cinder and freezing her arm on impact. "That's a hit!" I shouted.

The black-haired woman immediately melted the ice with her fire and started dodging as I shot more bullets towards her. "Wait Ruby, she's just making you waste ammo!" Weiss exclaimed, which made me stop shooting. Weiss destroyed the glyph and turned to me. "We have to go for close quarters since ranged combat won't work. She's too quick for that."

I nodded and pulled my scythe off the ground, readying myself to fight her up close. I can't be too close, the scythe is big and it does need a bit of range so I can get full damage output when I attack. Weiss on the other hand can be much quicker and she needs a short amount of range with her rapier, Myrtenaster compared to Crescent Rose. I quickly came up with a plan of attack with those facts and initiated it in an instant. "Weiss, distract her." I said enough for my partner to hear. She nodded and used her glyphs to project herself towards Cinder.

As I thought, Cinder dodged it with ease but what she didn't know was that Weiss was merely a front so I can get to her from behind and attack. I swung hard, firing a bullet to increase the speed and velocity of the attack, then with a loud thud, she was knocked off her feet and flew towards the trees. We thought that was the end, but we were dead wrong. In the distance, We saw Cinder Fall walking towards us, anger shown by the flames that flared all over her body. "You want to play dirty, then I'll play dirty!" she exclaimed. In a blink of an eye, I was already hit with a huge force, a burning sensation followed.

I heard Weiss scream in horror but it was muffled by my screams as I was knocked back into the flames that had blocked my escape route earlier, but that didn't stop there. I let out a cry of intense agony as I smashed through the wall of the abandoned home I saw earlier. Fire started to erupt around the house thanks to my own self and I immediately rolled around with my aura activated, trying to put out the flames that had engulfed me. It worked as the flames died out and I laid on the ground, breathing heavily. I realized that I was in the living room of the home, noticing old couches and chairs around each other as if a family of five lived here. I grew worried as I saw the furniture caught the flames and were now strengthening the inferno.

I heard screams in the distance and I realized it was Weiss. N-no… she's going to take her away… I-I need to get up! I screamed mentally. I used my remaining strength to crawl towards Crescent Rose and grab her but a glass heel kicked her away. W-what… but I thought she was- My thoughts were stopped short when I felt a hand grasp my neck. I yelped and felt light as I was lifted up into the air by an enraged Cinder Fall. "I've had it with Ruby Rose! Say goodbye!"

Time slowed down; the colors around me began to fade into white and red. My eyes darted up to the ceiling that was catching fire. Cinder didn't restrain my arms and she lifted me up close enough to hit the ceiling… what if I hit the ceiling? I thought. But that would mean one thing… my death along with Cinder's. The decision was so horrifying but the latter would mean that Cinder would use her fire to burn me into a gruesome death and she would live. I closed my eyes… Weiss… if there was a third option, I would choose it so I can see her again but there was no third decision.

I made my decision and a tear fell from my cheek. I'm so sorry Weiss. I focused my semblance onto my right arm, making time go back to normal, then I swung my right fist to the ceiling in a split second, making a large impact and then the ceiling came down on us. Before it crushed me, I closed my eyes and felt weightless. Then I heard nothing… the world around me went white with rose petals falling from the sky. Everything felt… peaceful.

There's the chapter… I can't even say anything. Well… I'll just wait for the hate now.
