FOX NOTE Ok. If any of you saw the last chapter for the couple seconds It was up, i'm sorry. I have no idea what the hell happened. So this time, I'm just going to force rewrite this chapter. Hopefully we won't have the annoying crap anymore. I mean, seriously! What the hell was that! Words of the wise to any Writers who read this. DON'T COPY AND PASTE A DocX. BAD THINGS HAPPEN! Oh and just for fun. I'm going to do a competition. I'm going to put a reference in this chapter. The first person to msg/review said reference will get a shout out and a chance to add a event to change the story forever. HOWEVER, I't can't be something to serious to seriously alter the story. Just a heads up to keep a eye out for it.

A/N Hey, I'd like to thank Arctic Fox72 for letting me write this, and honestly, when I was asked, I was shocked. I hope I don't butcher things too badly, but I'll try my best to avoid doing that again

POV: Ryu

Ryu was still by Winter's side when she woke up that morning. He floated down closer to her head, a smile on his face. 'How do you feel, Winter?'

She returned the smile. 'Better...just don't leave me. Ever.' Ryu smiled sadly.

'Don't make a girl a promise if you know you can't keep it.' Winter shook her head at this little bit of wisdom from her favorite Mew. This time, Winter's stomach made itself known, beating Ryu's to the punch. 'Well...I'm not sure if I should be worried about you, now. You should be the hungry one.'

Ryu's expression changed to a slight pout. 'I don't think of just food...wait...we had this argument yesterday, didn't we?'

Winter just laughed, standing. Gripping Ryu's paw, Winter walked, and Ryu floated, over to the living area of the Lab, where Professor Birch stood there, banging the remote to the television in his hand. He pointed it at the television, pressed a button on it, and when nothing happened, proceeded to bang the remote again. Ryu floated over, looking somewhat confused at first, curious.

'Hey Birch, what are you doing?' He asked, curiosity getting the better of him.

"I'm trying to get. The. Remote working." Birch replied, slapping the remote with each time he emphasized a word. He pointed the remote at the television, and hit the button again, and it flickered to life. Birch flipped through channels, glancing over various programs. He looks at a small booklet, then back at the television.

"Ah. I have a feeling that you guys..." He paused, as Winter gave him a slight look. "And girls, will want to watch what's going on later."

Ryu looked puzzled. 'Watch what?'

Winter looked at Ryu. 'Haev you forgotten that Luna's competition is today?'

Ryu's eyes widened, and he almost did a flip, excited. 'Oh, yeah! We get to watch Luna's other team battle! What other Pokemon does Luna have?'

Winter smiled. 'You'll see. I don't think you'd want any spoilers...it'll be more fun that way.'

Ryu sighed, crossing hsi paws. 'You really had to not tell me. I guess I can wait.' He glanced at Birch

'Now Birch, can we have something to eat?' Birch set down the remote after finally settling on a channel and looked at Ryu. "You really like eating, don't you? Well, it is time for breakfast, so I'll get something for the two of you and everyone can get together and watch the tournament that's coming in a bit."

POV: Ryu

Ryu looked at everyone. Shadow and Light were sitting just in front of him, tails intertwined. Winter was sitting beside him with Ash laying down beside her. Fly had landed herself on the back of the couch, and finally, Pika was sitting on the other side of Ryu. They were all looking at the television, waiting for the tournament to start. Birch, left standing due to all the Pokemon sitting on his couch, watched the group, a faint smile playing at his lips. Ryu noticed this, and looked back at him.

'I'll move if you want to sit down.' At this, Birch looked at him with kind eyes.

"Thanks for the offer...but I won't be watching. I've got work to do. Let me know who wins, if you want." Birch walked into the lab, muttering under his breath about some equation or another. Ryu followed him with his eyes before looking back at the television, waiting for the tournament to start. He began to float anxiously, waiting for the battle to start.

'Hey, will any of you tell me what Luna's other team is?' Everyone looked at Ryu.

Ash smiled, calmly. 'You'll see. We'll tell you their names when they're sent out.'

Ryu crossed his short arms, paws resting on them. 'You really want me to wait, don't you guys.' The picture on the television changed, showing Luna and another trainer standing on opposite sides of the field. The rules were quickly explained: A team battle, with each trainer having four Pokemon each. The trainers are unable to switch out their Pokemon, and they could only send in the next Pokemon if both of the Pokemon on the field faint. The other trainer sent out hsi first tow Pokemon: A Garchomp and a Tropius. Luna send out hers at the same time: A Glaceon and a Diance.

Pika spoke up. 'Those would be Frost and Gem. Well...should.'

Ryu looked at her. 'Should? hat do you mean, should?'

'Just watch.' Winter quietly said.

The Pokemon squared off, eyeing each other, waiting for their trainers to make the first move. Gem became more shiny on the camera, and began to move over the ground a lot quicker. Winter whispered quietly.

'That looked like Rock Polish...so we know that's Gem.' The Tropius, realizing that it was at a disadvantage, decided to make the best of the situation, throwing seeds onto Frost. The Garchomp looked at Gem and charged, rushing at the fairy. Gem dodged, using her incread spee, and the Garchomp crashed into the ground behind her. A/N Gem sounds like a name that a female would have, so even though a Diance is supposed to be genderless, I'll refer to Gem as a her.

Everyone cheered, Fly flipping out of excitement, even though she knocked Ash in the back of her head with her tail. A brief apology and murmurs of excitement later, they settled down.

Frost took advantage of the fallen Garchomp and launched a Blizzard at it. the Garchomp was encased in ice, and the duo looked at the Tropius. Or more precisely, looked for the Tropius. It flitted behind them, wings flapping hard, as it climbed. Reaching the height of its climb, it flipped, plummeting to the ground. The impact set off an earthquake, flinging Frost and Gem back. Gem, now angered, began firing off Rock Slides, flooding the battlefield with massive boulders. The Garchomp, still frozen in place, was pummeled by the rocks, while the Tropius soared, trying to evade as many of the rocks that fell as it could. It came crashing down as a rock smashed into it. It didn't get up after that.

Ryu wathed the battle, cheering when Gem knocked out the Tropius, not worried a bit about the fact that both Gem and Frost were both weak, and the Garchomp could easily take them both out at this point.

'We're winning! We're going to win!' Ryu cheered.

Winter smiled. 'We will. I'm just wondering something... I guess it's part of some plan.'

Ryu looked puzzled and the sound of cheering could be heard from the television. The Garchomp had managed to knock out Gem, but Frost retaliated quickly, rushing at the large Garchomp.

Frost staggered, the seeds that the tropius threw out earlier stuck in her fur. She collapsed, hitting the ground at the same time as the Garchomp. Everyone stared, before Shadow started cheering. Soon everyone else caught on. Fly was in the air again, unable to contain her excitement, and crashed into the wall. Pika saw this and laughed.

POV: Luna

Luna looked at the timer, worried. There was only a few minutes left. Taking the next two Pokeballs, she smiled, before throwing them. "Just like you practiced! Let's go!"

The opposing trainer threw his at the exact same time, sending out an Espeon and a Haunter. Luna's Pokeballs opened and a Zoura and a Zoroark landed, full of confidence.

POV: Ryu

Ryu looked at the Zoroark and the Zoura. 'Why don't they have illusions? Shouldn't they be some other Pokemon?'

Winter tilted ehr head. 'You're right. They should haev an illusion. Well, the Zoroark is named Rion and the Zoura is named Zorian. It seems like they have some plan... I don't know what though.'

Ryu nodded as he watched the two. 'It better be good as they may be able to avoid most of the damage, but you never know.' He lowered his head into his paws, some sort of pressure being felt on hsi mind, like the onset of a headache.

POV: Luna

Luna smiled. "this will be easier than we thought. Let's hope Rion's plan works."

The Espeon made the first move, hypnotizing the Zoroark. The Haunter looked at the Zoura, and evil grin on its face. It suddenly lunged forward, making a scary face, startling the Zoura, and retreated. The Zooura, tail between hsi legs, looked at the Haunter, still frightened. Bravery prevailed, and he rushed at it, the Haunter's ghastly hand moving to punch back, when he collided with it, changing the punched trajectory so it hit the Haunter instead. The Zoura bounded back, excited about the success of the Foul Play.

Luna smiled, shouting. "Good job! Come on, we can do this!" Faintly, under her breath, she added one word. "Rion."

The Haunter, reeling from being hit, attempted to use Curse on the Zoura, but rather hit the Zoroark. It woke up, feeling the attack land, and looked at the Haunter. Rion launched a Shadow Ball, landing a direct hit on the Haunter, taking the weakened Haunter down. The Espeon, now terrified, blinked, twil swaying gently. It attacked, a bright gleam coming from the gem on its head, hitting both Rion and Zorian. Their forms flickered, and where the Zoura once stood, the Zoroark now stood.

POV: Ryu

Everyone looked at the television, dumbfounded. Ash was the first to find her voice.

'Well it seems even we fell for their ruse. I was actually stating to be suspicious when Rion, disguised as Zorian, used Foul Play.' Ash said, still trying to figure out what just happened.

Ryu winced, holding his head. Something felt like it was pounding inside his head, trying to either break in, or break out. He saw Shadow's fur bristle, as if he was angry at something. Looking back at the television, he watched Rion and Zorian take down the Espeon, Luna praising Zorian for such a good job,, while Rion stood quietly, watching.

FOX NOTE: Ok...All about Espeon? All I'm going to say is that I didn't write this next part. I was pacing trying to figure out a way to soften this part but I couldn't think of a way. I'm sorry if you are offended but please remember, I didn't write this chapter. Sorry if this offends you.

Shadow suddenly spoke, breaking the cheering that was going on. 'Those Espeon are stupid. They think they can take on something like a Zoura and win. All Espeon are weak, completely useless.' Everyone looked at him, dumbfounded. Light turned and started to pad off, crying softly. Shadow looked at everyone.

'What? Why are you all looking at me like that?'

Winter looked at him, sternly. 'Go apologize to Light for what you said. Now.'

Shadow looked at her. 'What did I say that offended her?'

Ash calmly answered. 'Let's see... you called her entire species weak and useless. And stupid. I think that's cause enough to be offended.'

Shadow's expression changed to shock. He went rushing out of the room, chasing after Light. 'Light! Wait! I didn't mean that! Come back!'

Ryu started noticing that his head had stopped hurting. He floated outside, away from everyone, wanting a moment to ponder over this. He looked out over the area surrounding the Lab. In the setting sun, he saw something moving away.

A lone Kadabra made its way to a small clearing, not far from the lab. Smiling, she recounted her trip, how scouting turned out. She was stopped by a human, parts of his body convered in a think, black substance that seemed to glisten with a living quality. She smiled, speaking to him.

"Glad to see you again, Anton. You seem as angry as ever."

The human growled back. "You having your 'gift' doesn't help, Pikria. I get a headache whenever you're around. Let's report, then I'm getting away form you."

The two walked into the clearing, branches from the trees covering the entirety of the sky. Two Pokemon sat there. An Absol, the same black substance forming webs across hsi body, and a Lucario with midnight blue fur and a metal arm and leg. The Lucario looked at them, a mechanical growl resonating from his throat.

"You better have a good reason for being late."

The absol smiled. 'Easy, Nightfur. I trust everythign went well?'

Anton smiled back. "Yes. The surrounding area is suitable for seeding. We'll begin on your command."

A/N Well, I have to say. I enjoyed writing this. Once again, I'd like to thank Arctic Fox72. I hope this is satisfactory, and that I didn't put you off with my writing style. Hopefully, I've set a good launch pad for. However, Arctic wants to take the plot, so farewell. I can't wait for the next chapter myself.

FOX NOTES: Well there you have it! Hope you enjoyed the chapter by NinjaLayor! I may come back to him every now and again for tips on how to bring this main story plot of his alone. I have a wonderful idea later about it but nothing in between. Well peace out! Arctic Fox out!
