The Time Lady and her Boys

Doctor Who Fanfiction

Pairing: The Master/Time Lady OC

Chapter 25: Epilogue

After the events that fell on that day, the Doctor ended up regenerating as he saved Wilf. The Doctor was alone and his hearts were broken, missing his dear friends. He was never going to see them again. He would go into the Fighter's painted room of Gallifrey and expect to see her and the Master lying there on her bed, talking to each other. He liked going in there because it reminded them of him, it reminded him of home.

Elizabeth ended up back home and reunited with her parents, determined to live out her life to the fullest like the Fighter requested her to do. She looked out to the tree that use to be her TARDIS and thought back to when the Fighter first appeared here. She kept her room she lived in the same in her memory, the memory of the Time Lady who changed her life forever...for the better.

The Fighter woke up to see her father's lifeless body laying next to her. She jolted up as Romana calmed her down. "It's okay sister. Rassilon is gone for good now. Now it's nothing but our father's body he stole."

Tears fell from her face as she slowly put a hand to his cheek. She looked up to Romana "Can you tell me everything about our father, the man he was before he was possessed by Rassilon sometime?"

Romana looked to her older sister and nodded. "And Ailla has been locked up. She won't be free for a long time."

The Master woke up and looked at him before looking to the Fighter. "Is he dead?"

The Fighter nodded "Yes."

"I'm so sorry about your father Missy."

She began to sob "It's okay, not your fault. We're together now and-..." She trailed off, searching for something in her mind. "The clock noise?"

The Master stood quiet for a minute until his eyes widened "The drums are gone. I couldn't even tell, I had that noise in my head for so long! It's gone! It's gone!" He took the Fighter into a passionate kiss and then spun her around.

She giggled then stopped as she looked out the window of the medical ward they were in. They were back on Gallifrey, they were back home. Except without the Doctor.

They were back in the war. Everyone was still dying or regenerating around them as the Daleks shot away.

Romana cleared her throat, seeing her sister's face "Yes, the war is still going on. Sadly we aren't able to escape it."

The Master looked to the Fighter "But you could my dear." He held her hand in his.

"No Koschei! I'm not leaving you or Romana!" She shook her head. "Please don't send me away like Theta did! I don't need protection!"

"I want to keep you safe though. If we don't survive-"

"Don't say that! We will survive! We always find a way to!"

The Master gave a sad smile as he looked to his hands and put one to where his hearts were "I mean..." He began to fall to the ground.

"Koschei!" The Fighter caught him in her arms. She gently cupped his cheek, looking into his brown eyes. "No...this can't be happening."

"My Lady President" The Master looked to Romana. "Take your sister somewhere safe."

"NO! No, no,no! I can't leave you alone, not you too."

"It's okay Missy, I'll always love you. I will always be with you, chasing after you my dear tiger." The Master gave her a honest, happy smile.

Romana grabbed her sister as she fought to stay with him. "No Romana! Please let me stay with him!" They were already out of the medical ward as Romana and her walked down the hall.

The Fighter started to sob onto her sister's shoulder as the little sister comforted her older sister. It was just like when their mother died. The Fighter comforted Romana in the same way by singing a Gallifreyan song and hugging her as she let all her feelings out.

Romana pulled away and looked at her sister "Besides being my sister, you've always been like a mother figure to me. I never got to know mother the way you knew her and you never got to know father the way I knew him."

The Fighter wipped away her tears as she listened to her.

"Sister, I was mad at you for centuries for treating me coldly. Then when we met again on the Doctor's TARDIS centuries ago, I was so glad to find out you did it all to protect me. You even risked your own life to save me! You did everything to protect me and now it's my turn to do the same for you!"

The Fighter's tears fought there way back thanks to her sister's words. "Romanadvoratrelundar..."

Romana smiled at hearing her say her full name. "I love you sister. Thank you for everything." She opened the door to the TARDIS room where a TARDIS was waiting for her.

It was like deja vu all over for the Fighter all over again. Except this time it was her sister sending her away in a TARDIS instead of the Doctor.

"Romana, please come with me!" She grabbed hold of her sister's hand.

The Time Lady shook her head "I can't sister. I'm Lady President and I need to stay with my people whether there is a war or not." She gave a sad smile to her as she pulled away from her sister's grasp and closed the door. "Take care sister."

And the TARDIS started dematerializing away. The Fighter looked at the screen like she did the first time. This time was different though. She didn't yell at the TARDIS to take her home. She just looked at the screen of her planet burning as she suddenly found herself glowing.

Regenerating. She was regenerating.

It felt different this time.

No clocks in her head counting down to the end of time.

No Doctor by her side to help her through it.

The Master was dead.

Her home was burning and her sister was there.

It was then when she realized her goal.

Home.

As she began regenerating, The Fighter saw a figure standing before her. They took her hand and held on tight. The Fighter looked up at the figure shocked but then gave a warm smile "Mother..."

"My stories over.

The Fight has been won.

Lives were lost, lives were returned.

Another fight continues, the fight to return home.

Battles and troubles come our way for a reason: In order to make us stronger.

So fight the fight, keep moving on, and never, ever give up! You will make it through this!

Live your life the way you want to. Only you hold the power to do so. You're so much stronger than you think.

Just keep going, and going and going until you reach it.

Just like the Time Lady and her Boys."

The Fighter took her now wavy long dark brown hair into her hands. She gave a bizzare smile as ran to the TARDIS console. She only had one thing in mind now.

Taking control.

The End.

The Fighter has now regenerated into her 8th incarnation and her face claim is the wonderful, sexy Lara Pulver!

Any ideas on what could happen now?

A special thank you to all the people who have stuck with me through this story up to this point! I greatly appreciate your support! WE MADE IT! *victory dance*

For now I shall start updating the Prequel to this story which is already on here. If you haven't added it yet or read it, it's called "Running Away from Gallifrey (A Classic Who Fanfiction)." I'm going to go back and update the 3 chapters it has on it since I've developed more writing experience. The Prequel is mostly Doctor/OC pairing.

As for a sequel to this story?: I will be starting that soon once I plan out how I will have it work. :)

Thanks again everyone~!
