Title: Letter's Of Love

Chapter: Y Is For Yesterday

A/N: Wow, it's been three years. A lot has happened in that time (like seriously, I'm in tertiary education now. I graduated. I have two jobs. I've been overseas. I just got a new laptop which is a serious step up from the one I got over 5 years ago and which, let's be honest is part of the reason I got the urge to write again. I apologise to anyone who has been awaiting these final two chapters all that time. Told you guys I would never abandon this fic! I have attempted writing this chapter multiple times since the last update times but wasn't quite able to finish them each time – maybe I'm just unconsciously unwilling to let this fic go? Anyway, without further ado – chapter 25! One more 'til we're done.

Dedication: To Vividpixie who was the first to review all those years ago! Thank you my dear. Also to my darling LTT who unknowingly acted as inspiration for this chapter, congratulations and my apologies for using you as a muse without your knowing! (My other readers, you'll understand what I mean soon).

PLEASE NOTE: There are translator's notes interspersed amongst this fic in [these brackets] as certain scenes in my mind occurred using Japanese which conveys better what I'm trying to show. It's all pretty basic but I didn't want to separate the words from their meanings. Also, I have heard bits and pieces meaning that what I'm writing about may have happened in the manga but I still haven't caught up with it (although I have seen the anime!) so if it doesn't fit in with the canon, that's why.

Warnings: Major fluffy feels. Possible innuendo? Much flashback. Fluff. Adults. Not themes/content, they're just not teenagers anymore. Did I mention fluff?

Disclaimer: I am no closer to owning the rights to KWMS now than I was 3 years ago.

Monday – Time Unknown

"Attention all passengers, we are beginning to prepare for landing. Please open all windows…"

Misaki groaned, snuggling deeper into the hold of the person to her right as light streamed in from all around the cabin.

She was rewarded with a deep chuckle, some shuffling and then the window directly next to her being shoved up with a thud.

"Ugh, what time is it?"

"If you looked at the screen you would know, Misa-chan,"

Misaki huffed and slowly began the process of re-joining the world of the awake.

Her attempt was met with soft blue eyes and a gentle smile.

"Good morning, Mrs. Usui,"

Sunday – 08:00

"Beep beep beep BANG!"

Misaki groaned as she turned away from her alarm clock, pulling the blankets closer around her.

Then her eyes snapped open.

Todays the day.

She froze for a second before jumping out of bed.

Todays the day!

She ran out into the kitchen only to see that her family was already up, her mother turning off the stove and Shizuka setting down the final plate of food.

"Waaa, Onee-san [My older sister] woke up by herself on a Sunday!"

She flushed at Suzuna's words while her mother just chuckled.

"Well it is a special day after all. Come Misaki, let's have breakfast."

"Thanks Mum,"

All three Ayuzawa's took their seats around the table before clapping their hands together.

"Ittadakimasu!" [Thanks for the food, said before eating a meal]

Monday – 15:25

"…the local time is 3:25pm. We hope you enjoyed a pleasant flight…"

Usui looked over to his left as Misaki tightened her grip around his hand (which he had grabbed during their descent when the change in pressure made her wince) only to be greeted by an excited smile.

Usui grinned back.

They were here.

On their honeymoon.

This was gonna be great.

Sunday – 09:00

The doorbell rang at exactly 9am.

Misaki opened the door only to stumble back as Sakura through her arms around her in a crushing hug.

"Misaki-chan! It's sooooo good to see you! I'm so excited for today and we have so much to do and oh Kuuga, quickly bring the things in, Shizuko should be here with the flowers soon…"

Sakura proceeded to make her way through the house, setting up her hair and makeup supplies even as she shouted her greetings to the other Ayuzawas.

"Hey Misaki!"

Kuuga stepped through the door, gingerly holding up a giant bundle covered in a white cloth which must be…

"Oi, be careful with that! I spent a long time making sure it came out perfectly!"

"Aoi-chan?"

Aoi glided through the door, hurrying Kuuga inside, propping his designer glasses up on his head.

"What, did you seriously think I'd let anyone else design or make it? You really must be getting old,"

"Oi!"

Aoi chuckled, pausing in front of her for a moment to grin cheekily before pulling her into a hug.

"I'm happy for you both, even if it did take forever for this day to come!"

He then proceeded to stroll through the house, joining Sakura to yell even more instructions at Kuuga.

Misaki could only chuckle and close the door behind her as she let herself get pulled into the chaos that was a wedding.

Her wedding.

Her's and Takumi's.

Today was gonna be great.

Monday – 20:30

"Booking for Usui?"

They'd finally reached their hotel.

"Yes, we've been expecting you. Congratulations to you both! Here are your key cards – your room number is 805. Your bags will be brought up momentarily. If you require assistance at any time, please call the reception and we will do our utmost to assist you. We hope you enjoy your stay."

Misaki simply nodded and chucked the receptionist a grateful smile, before grabbing Takumi by the wrist and dragging him towards the elevator.

"What's this? Eager to reach our honeymoon suite are we Mrs. Usui?"

Misaki groaned as she scanned the card, hitting the button for the eighth floor, but couldn't quite help the little chuckle that escaped her.

The elevator dinged as the doors closed.

Getting to the hotel had been a nightmare.

The luggage had been delayed, the immigration lines long, the airport itself a mammoth of a building, and the moment they'd finally left found themselves stuck in the middle of peak hour traffic.

The journey from the airport to the hotel was supposed to take half an hour at the most. It took three.

Misaki was exhausted. The wedding had been amazing but exhausting, and having to get up so early to catch a flight, being in a plane for hours and then delayed once actually reaching their destination was all catching up on her.

She wanted to sleep.

Warm hands wrapped around her shoulders, squeezing gently before a light kiss was pressed against the side of her head.

"I know that the original plan was to arrive at the hotel and rest a little before heading out for dinner, but what do you say we order room service first thing, clean up, eat and hit the sack?"

Misaki hummed slightly, enjoying the pressure on her shoulders before turning around to peck Takumi.

"Sounds perfect."

Sunday – 14:00

Takumi took a deep breath.

This was it.

Today was the day he was finally going to marry Misaki. Put a ring on her finger and declare their love to the world. Claim the right to call her his wife.

Today was the best day ever.

Then the music started.

He straightened immediately, the other guests quieting within moments, but he found himself unable to notice.

The doors were opening.

The doors were open.

'There she is,'

Takumi's breath caught as he finally caught sight of Misaki, and while somewhere in his mind he took notice of the pristine white kimono she was wearing, the way her hair was left out the way he liked it, the quiet gasp from the crowd as they caught sight of her, he found his eyes catching hers as she looked up at him.

Twin grins stole across their face as the procession began.

Best. Day. Ever.

Monday – 21:45

Takumi looked up over his book as Misaki emerged from the bathroom, setting it aside as Misaki quietly slipped into the bed beside him.

But not yet settling down to sleep, instead she stared straight ahead, leaning against the headboard.

Takumi watched her for a moment longer before sliding his reading glasses off, placing them on top of the book before turning slightly to face her.

And then he waited.

He didn't mind, not when he had something as beautifully distracting as his wife's face to gaze at.

Man his wife. That wasn't getting old anytime soon.

"Takumi…" Misaki began.

"Hmm?"

She turned to look directly into his eyes.

"Thank you."

She didn't specify what for, she didn't have to.

For being here, for waiting, for being mine, for loving me.

Takumi shook his head slightly, a small smile on his lips.

"Thank you, Misa-chan,"

And that was that.

Moving into the middle, he placed an arm around her shoulder, puller her in to fit comfortably under his arm,"

"I meant them you know,"

"Them…?" Misaki quirked a brow in askance.

"My wedding vows to you,"

Misaki blushed softly, "Me too,"

Takumi hummed softly, turning the reading light on the side off before pulling them both down on the bed, arms wrapping around each other as they closed their eyes and rested their foreheads against each other. Takumi slowly began reciting:

"Misaki, today is our wedding, the day we become man and wife. A day which I never could have dreamed of that day I realized I was in love with you all that time ago on the school roof,"

Misaki softly stroked his cheek, smiling before she too began speaking.

"Takumi, falling in love with you has been like riding a rollercoaster without a seatbelt. I never did know what to expect from you, and just when I thought I was starting to understand you'd do something insane like jump off the school roof,"

"I know that it's not always easy to be with me – it can be days, weeks, months, and even in one horrible instance over a year without being able to see each other and yet despite this we've still managed to remain a team,"

"We've always had a bit crazy between the two of us, but I wouldn't have it any other way. All those things I once found irritating or confusing I now regard with affection and joy. We've changed, that's for sure, but at the end of the day you're still you and I'm still me,"

"It's been years since we first met and I could never quite fully understand you and I don't think I ever will. But I'm okay with that, because I've become the one who can proudly claim that I know you best. That you're my Misa-chan, and now you've even accepted to take on the title of my wife,"

"You used to just be 'Usui-that-perverted-outer-space-alien' but now you're my perverted-outer-space-alien', my Takumi, and now you're about to become my husband."

"You've always been my favourite and now you'll become my wife,"

They both opened their eyes, staring back at each other.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

A/N: It's done! You guys don't understand just how much grief this chapter had given me I hope you enjoyed it and look forward to hearing your suggestions for the final 'Z' chapter, however while I am going to try and take into account your suggestions as it is the final chapter I will probably just be going with whatever feels the most right.

Take care everybody and thank you for your patience.
