Dear god, it's been a while hasn't it? I'm about two months in to my 3rd semester and I'm still out of my focus. I don't know why. This next chapter is like two months overdue. Enjoy.

Miharu's POV

I opened my eyes slowly as I wake up from my sleep. Ugh. What happened? It took me a while to realize where I am. This isn't my room. Looks like I'm at an unfamiliar place. I rubbed my eyes to take a better look at my surroundings. The room is clean and I see a door to the bathroom, a table, a drawer and a closet. How did I get here? Then I remembered crying into Daisuke's chest. I must have cried myself to sleep. I need to stop that habit whenever I cried. Then I heard muffled chatter behind me. It was another door which I bet leads to another room. I open it to see Daisuke talking with Hideyoshi and Minami while Yuuko is eating. Daisuke stopped laughing when he noticed me.

"Good morning, Sleeping Beauty," Daisuke playfully smiled with his eyes closed. The rest also looked at me.

"Where am I?" I looked around.

"You're at my house," Daisuke kept the smile. I look back at the door where I came from. There are no hallways in Daisuke's house other than that one hallway that leads to the front door. I look in front at the dinner table seeing a plate of food and an empty chair.

"That's for you. I thought you would be hungry. Take a seat," Daisuke motions me to sit down, in which I did. I started eating normally until I noticed that everyone is staring at me.

"W-what is it?"

Daisuke sighed before he said anything. He looked me in the eye across the table.

"Miharu… Everyone on this table now knows about your problems…"

I dropped the fork. I'm horrified that this has got out. I ran back into the room and lock myself in.

Daisuke's POV

"Miharu, wa-" I couldn't finish what I said as Miharu locked herself in the guest room. I was about to get off my seat when Yuuko stopped me.

"Wait, Daisuke. I'll go,"

I was surprised that Yuuko would actually try to solve the situation.

"Wait, let me do it,"

And now it's Yuuko's turn to be surprised when Minami stood up and volunteered herself to talk to Miharu. Heck, Hideyoshi is surprised too. Yuuko recovered and suggested that the both of them should talk to Miharu. They both went up to the guest room door and knocked, leaving Hideyoshi and I alone. Hideyoshi still retains the surprised look.

"What's wrong with you?"

"I feel that the end of the world is coming. Shimada-sani actually wants to help Miharu and sis also wants to get involved," Hideyoshi looks at me.

"So? It's called progress," I took a drink.

"I know. It's just… I can't believe this is all happening,"

"Yeah. Well, I hope nothing goes wrong,"

After a few moments, Miharu opened the door slightly and lead Yuuko in. Minami comes back to the dining table.

"So, how'd it go?" I stretched my arms upwards.

"I'm surprised that Miharu would see Kinoshita-san first considering how much she adores me," Minami sits back down.

"Huh… I wonder why,"

With Miharu and Yuuko…

"Look, I don't know why you want to talk to me. If you have something to say to me, say it. SAY THAT I'M A DISGUSTING SLUT! SAY IT!" Miharu dared, looking over her shoulder. This caught Yuuko by surprise.

"NO! It's not like that,"

"Then why? Why are you here…?"

"…I want to help you,"

Miharu turned around to face Yuuko, still keeping her guard up.

"Why would a perfect Class A student let alone honor student of Fumizuki want to help someone who's from a lower class?" Miharu folds her arms and turns away. Yuuko takes a deep breath before she answers.

"I know it's weird. But after thinking about it, after what Daisuke said to me, I realized that it was the right thing to do. Besides… I know what it's like to experience a traumatic incident,"

Miharu suddenly became attentive. She finds it weird that Yuuko would actually reveal a bit about herself.

"What?"

"Yeah. You may think that I have a perfect life. But, no. Even I have nightmares just thinking about it," Yuuko sits down on the bed.

"Do… Do you want to talk about it?" Miharu sits bedsides her.

"To be honest, no. Besides, Daisuke would rather not have this out until he is comfortable about it,"

"Wait, Daisuke?"

"Yeah. All I can say is that it was the worse moment in both of our entire lives,"

Miharu looks down at the floor.

"Not only Kinoshita-san, but Daisuke too? What exactly did they face?"

"Uh, Miharu…?"

"Yeah?"

"Why were you going out with Daisuke?"

"Well… Since he saved me from the thugs, I thought I want to get to know him more. So I asked him out. Besides I want to confirm my feelings. And after thinking about it, I…" Miharu trailed off. Yuuko looks at Miharu.

"You what?"

Miharu raises her head to look at Yuuko with an apparent blush on her face.

"I do have a crush on Daisuke… "

Yuuko leaned back startled yet she has seen this coming since that day when she, Daisuke and Miharu sat down in a café about more than a week ago after Daisuke revealed that he saved Miharu.

"You know Kinoshita-san…" Miharu looks back down on the floor.

"Yes?" Yuuko regains her composure.

"I'm surprised that you don't feel anything for Daisuke after he saved you from that car," Miharu looks at Yuuko. The latter's composure collapsed again.

"I-I-I only see him as a friend and I'm sure he sees the same way. B-besides, I'm an honor student. I have no time to think about relationships," Yuuko stuttered.

"I understand. But other than Minami, just thinking about Daisuke actually makes me genuinely smile," Having said that, Miharu smiled.

"After suffering so much from my father, I didn't think there would be a boy who would actually made me feel this way. Is he actually this caring?"

"He… He is,"

"You should be grateful that you know him. If he can even make me this happy, perhaps he is one of a kind,"

Yuuko tries to soak all the praise towards her childhood friend that she eventually blushed when she thought about her relationship with Daisuke. She then realized something.

"Miharu, if you thought about Daisuke like that, then what about that girl from Class F, Minami?"

Miharu's smile faded quickly. She had forgotten about Minami amidst all the compliments towards Daisuke.

"In that case, can you tell Minami that I want talk to her?"

Yuuko sighed as she gets up from the bed. She stopped walking just as she approaches the door.

"Miharu... This is kinda hard to say considering my reputation at Fumizuki, but… If you need anything, don't hesitate to approach me. And make sure it's something worthwhile because you know how I am," With that, Yuuko leaves the room and Miharu, who is collecting her thoughts. After a few minutes, the door opens again to reveal Minami.

"Minami, I-" Miharu stopped talking and found herself shocked when she sees Minami on the verge of tears.

"Why are you-" Miharu was interrupted when Minami suddenly pulled her into an embrace, making Miharu blush and more shocked at the same time. Minami buries her face into Miharu's shoulder.

"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry for pushing you away. I didn't realize that all you needed is someone to care about you," Minami release the waterworks. Miharu felt this is all so surreal. The very girl that she chased and failed to catch is now here hugging her and crying because of her. She slowly returned the embrace as they remain in the same position for quite a while until Minami slowly stops crying.

"Hey, I'm all right now that you're here. Stop crying Ok?" Miharu broke the hug and looks at Minami's face. Minami nodded in reply.

"It's just that… I was so cruel to you and I-I…" Now it's Minami turn to be interrupted thanks to Miharu putting a finger to Minami's lips.

"You know… It's kinda disheartening to see a girl like you to cry," Miharu smiled slightly while helping to wipe a tear away with her finger from Minami's face. Both sit down on the edge of the bed in silence. Miharu takes a deep breath before she breaks it to Minami.

"Minami, even though I chased you for god knows how long, I need to tell you something,"

"What is it?"

"I think… I have feelings for Daisuke. It's weird I know…"

Minami opens her mouth to say something, but she hesitated a bit before she finally says it.

"I see. About that… I talked to Daisuke about you while you were talking to Kinoshita-san,"

"Really…? What did he say?"

"Well…"

A few minutes earlier

While Daisuke was drinking…

"Daisuke, I really have to ask," Minami speaks up. Daisuke puts his cup down.

"What is it?"

"How do you feel about Miharu?"

Daisuke leaned back with his arms folded. He thought about it for a moment before giving his answer.

"Well I don't have any romantic feelings towards her. All she needed was a chance and some help. And I know it's right to help someone in distress. I see her as a friend. I hope we get along for years to come," Daisuke smiled slightly.

Back to the present…

"Oh…" Miharu looks down on the floor.

"You're not too angry about this,"

"After how much Daisuke helped me, how can I?"

Minami took a deep breath. She is about to take a leap of faith. She doesn't know where her choice will take her.

"Miharu, after what Daisuke said, it got me thinking about you. Actually… I want to show you,"

"What?"

Minami closes the distance between them, held both of Miharu's shoulders and kissed Miharu gently on the lips. Miharu widen her eyes in surprise. The girl she's been chasing is now here kissing her square on the lips. Minami broke it and look at Miharu's topaz eyes.

"Look. I don't know where this will take us. But I'm willing to give you a chance. Prove it to me that you're serious about us,"

Miharu couldn't believe it. The chance is given to her. Her feelings have overwhelmed her up to the point that she is on the verge of tears.

"M-M-Minami…"

And so, the tears started to flow and Miharu hugged Minami with her head buried into Minami's shoulder. The latter stroked Miharu's orange hair to comfort her. Minami may not know how much of an impact her decision will make, but something tells her that it's gonna be worth it.

Not gonna lie to you, never in my mind have I thought about implementing a same-sex pairing in one of my future works. This idea just came to me all of a sudden. And to be honest, I don't where this will take me. Stay tuned for the next chapter. And let's hope it doesn't take me two months to release that.
