Hello again! Here is yet another prompt from wrathofnerds, and it includes the Handmaid once again. And it's the first doomed timeline. So let's start!

Aradia put her head in her hands. The troll could no longer help it. She let the tears fall, rapid and quick. It was her job as the time player to make sure a doomed timeline was stopped. Yet here she was.

She knew exactly what went wrong. She never died, and instead of sending the virus to Karkat, Sollux deleted it. Gamzee killed the lusii, then commit suicide. One of the voices told him he could fly. Of course, Karkat and Tavros believe he's still alive. She sort of did too. It was hard to believe that Gamzee could ever die.

But that didn't change the fact of her imminent death. Nothing would. The worst part was knowing when you would die. Aradia already had an idea of what would happen. Gamzee, if still alive, would somehow escape death. Most likely, he had already escaped. Which meant Sollux would start dating her soon, and Feferi would accept her status as a highblood and go insane. Eridan would try to stop her from killing, and die first. Then she would kill Terezi, Vriska, and Tavros. Kanaya would kill Feferi as revenge, but get fatally wounded and die. Karkat would die next, from a virus that killed him due to his blood mutation. Nepeta would be driven to insanity and kill herself, Equius soon following. Sollux and her would be left. And die together as the timeline ended.

At this point she was bawling. It was horrible, to know that you would watch your friends die and be able to do nothing. Aradia sat down, her shaky knees no longer able to support her weight.

Then a weight was on her shoulder. She jumped, looking at the hand that was resting on her shoulder. She found a female troll with rust red eyes and long black hair, neatly put into a bun and held together by two needles. Her horns were similar to Aradia's, just longer and bigger. She wore a green shirt and skirt.

"Who are you?" Aradia asked, somewhat nervously.

"The Handmaid," she answered.

Aradia gasped. This was a woman who traveled through history, jumping through time. Most thought she was a legend. But here she was, standing before Aradia's eyes. "You're real," she muttered.

"I believe you are my descendent," the Handmaid said, sitting beside Aradia. "We have the same symbol. You may call me Temusume."

Any normal troll would have had thousands of things to ask their ancestor. Under different circumstances, Aradia would have many questions too. But only one came to mind. "Where did I mess up?"

Temusume gave her a puzzled look. "Explain."

Aradia took a shaky breath, then began. "I've let my friends down. It was my job to keep them on track. But I failed. Now one is dead, and it won't be long before I watch all of them die. And it's all my fault," Aradia muttered, tears threatening to fall again.

"They can't depend on you for everything," Temusume said. "Also, your failure has given the alpha timeline more knowledge. You may not have saved your friends, but you did save an entire universe from being doomed. Sacrifice is painful. But necessary."

"I never thought of it like that," Aradia said. A small grin appeared on her face. "Thanks."

"You're welcome." They sat silently for a moment before Temusume got up. "Remember his, Aradia Megido. I'm proud of you." Then she disappeared.

Aradia smiled. Then she heard Sollux call for her. "AA! Come over here, I want to athk you thomething!" Yes, now they would become matesprits. It was all hell from here on out.

But hey. She saved a whole fucking universe. That's pretty good for a young troll.

It was oddly entertaining killing all the characters. Anyway, I'd like to point out something very important. THIS IS THE 25TH CHAPTER! That's pretty awesome, and I'd like to thank all of you for the support and steady stream of requests. Also, thank you for being so patient with my slowness in writing these. So leave a request in the reviews, tell me how I did, and I will see you guys later.

Alright, I'm out.
