So I MEANT to post this last night, but that didn't really work out for me. Nonetheless, I did finally manage to get it out. :)
Also, I'd like to apologize in advance if this chapter seems a bit rushed. It's already 7.5K words, and I really didn't want to split it into two chapters. Still, I like how it came out, so I hope you all do as well :)
Danny's green eyes squinted from the bright sun. Over 24 hours in the Ghost Zone could do that to a person. He looked up to the sky, and then all around him. He had no idea where he was, but Kim was there, and that was all that mattered. He turned to her smiling face.
Her eyes were closed in pleasure, and she was inhaling the fresh air. She hadn't been home in two months, and she couldn't get enough of Middleton. He locked eyes with her sage orbs, and noticed her smile – a smile which seemed a thousand times brighter than he'd ever seen before.
"So this is where you're from?" Danny joked.
"The one and only birthplace of Kim Possible," Kim teased in reply.
"So where to first? I really need to use a phone…" Danny thought aloud.
Kim didn't even have to think. "We'll go to my house. You can use a phone there."
Danny nodded, and signaled for her to lead the way.
She'd just taken a step to the left when a baby blue scooter sped – or just sorta rolled – directly in front of the two teenagers. Danny looked confused. The blonde boy sitting atop the scooter looked utterly surprised and shocked – mimicking how Danny also felt.
"KP!" the blonde boy shouted. That was when Kim had even noticed the scooter obstructing their path. He immediately threw himself off the scooter – thoroughly face planting the ground – and then raced over to the ginger. He embraced her in a hug to which Kim happily reciprocated.
A jealous tingling crept on the back of Danny's neck, but he ignored it. "Ron," he heard Kim say. That was when he remembered that this was the legendary Ron that apparently saved the world with Kim on a regular basis.
Kim backed away from their hug, and the blonde boy immediately spoke up, "KP, why are you here? How'd you get back? How was the mission? Who's that guy? Wh – wait," he immediately stopped rambling, and turned to face Danny.
"Who are you?" he asked – not in an intimidating, angry way, but simply perplexed.
Danny cleared his throat, and responded, "Er, Danny Phantom."
"Danny Phantom… phantom… as in 'ghost'?" he seemed to be putting pieces together in his head. "Wait, KP, didn't you go to that Amityville town to fight off a ghost?"
Realization suddenly dawned on the moron, and he pointed an accusing finger between the two. "You're supposed to be hunting him!" he yelled at Kim. "And you're supposed to be evil!" he turned on Danny. "WHAT IS GOING ON?" he shouted to the sky.
Immediately – as if on cue – a pink critter peeked its head out of the boy's baggy cargo pants and mimicked the same hand motions as the blond while squealing something that sounded vaguely familiar to "what is going on".
Danny jumped back in surprise, and accused the blonde boy, "What is that thing?"
"Rufus? How dare you refer to him as a thing! He has more feelings than you'll ever have, you ghost!"
Danny slapped his forehead. Why did ghosts have such a bad reputation? Images of Skulker, Lunch Lady, Ember, Johnny 13, Box Ghost, and all the other villains Danny spent his nights fighting flashed through his mind. Oh yea, he remembered, that's why ghosts have a bad name.
"Look, I don't have time to explain again, but I'm not a bad ghost. I hunt and protect people from the bad ghosts. Are all humans bad? No! So DON'T jump to any conclusions!" Danny ended his rant by poking the blonde in the chest.
"Well, jeez, you should've started with that! Some people, am I right?" he asked the hairless rat, who nodded in reply.
"Ron, can you give us a lift to my house?" Kim interrupted to two boys.
Ron shrugged, "Sure thing, KP, but can't we just fly? I mean, he is a ghost?"
"You're right. I am, so let's fly," Danny said, and placed both the blond and Kim atop the blue scooter before turning the entire thing intangible, and speeding through the street. Kim was too busy giving the ghost directions of where to turn and how to speed through things than to listen to Ron scream because he couldn't see his hands.
When the blue scooter pulled up to the modern, yellow house, Danny turned it visible again, and flew to the ground so he was standing to the right of Kim. He offered her a hand, and she grasped it as she jumped off the rather low scooter.
Ron, meanwhile, flipped off the side as he appeared queasy and woozy. He didn't so much as notice the chivalrous attitude the ghost showed Kim until Rufus darted up to his head on the ground, and made him look at the two still holding hands, and gazing into each other's eyes.
All nauseous feelings went away at that point, and he bounced up, pointing at the stranger and his best friend accusingly. "You – you two – are you guys – huh?"
Danny awkwardly looked to Kim for help, and she smiled at Ron, "Yes, Ron. Danny and I are dating."
"Uh – I think you're forgetting one crucial piece of evidence," Ron tried to speak with a calm head, but the next thing he said came out a scream, "HE IS DEAD!"
Danny bit his lip in embarrassment, but Kim nudged him, and nodded. He knew exactly what she meant by this, and said in response, "Only him, okay?"
To that, Kim nodded, so Danny turned to the blonde, freckled boy and smiled. "Okay, what I'm about to show you may cause you to freak out, but just breath, keep your knees bent, and you'll be fine. Oh, and don't tell anyone."
The belt of pure white energy appeared at his abdomen, and Kim watch in amazement as it progressed over his entire body to two hoops. When both hoops had dissipated, he looked at the blonde with his blue eyes, and sighed, "I'm only half ghost. I was involved in a lab accident. I'm also human."
Ron's jaw dropped, but he'd kept Danny's advice in mind, and stayed standing without fainting. "That… is so cool!" he shouted. "I'm friends with a freaking ghost hybrid! Best day ever!"
He went to high five the black haired boy, and Danny gave him a good slap before returning to his ghost half. "Seriously, don't tell anyone."
"You can count on that," Ron smiled.
The three teenagers walked up to the house. Kim knocked, and Ron asked the two, "So what are you guys doing here anyway?"
"It's a long story, I don't wanna explain it twice," Kim said, and the door suddenly swung open.
Kim gazed with tearful eyes at the ginger woman who opened the door. "Mom," she beamed, and rushed in to hug her.
The older woman hugged back, but looked confused, "Kimmie, what are you doing home? I talked to you two days ago, and you told me you didn't think the mission was letting up any time soon."
Kim opened her mouth to reply, but Danny's chuckle filled the void. It wasn't until he opened his eyes – which were pinched shut in his laughter – that he realized everyone was staring at him. awkwardly, he cleared his throat, and motioned for the two to continue talking. Only now Kim's mother's eyes had been opened to all around her front door – not just her daughter.
"Kim, why is Ron with you? And, erm, who's that?" she tried to lower her voice for the latter part of her question, but Danny – being in ghost form – heard her loud and clear.
"I'll explain in a sec, but can we come in first?"
Anne Possible almost slapped herself in the face, "Oh my gosh, yes of course. I wasn't even thinking."
The three teenagers stepped in, and moved to the living room where they all took a seat. Kim sat in the middle on the large couch, and Ms. Possible stepped out to go get snacks. Kim knew they only had a few moments before her mother came back, so she turned to the two boys.
"Ok you two – Ron especially–"
"Hey!"
"Quiet! Listen – just so we're all on the same page – my mom doesn't get told that we are dating nor does she get told that Danny is half human, okay?"
Danny nodded – completely agreeing with what she told him – and Ron did the same, only he was still offended for being called out.
"So why especially me?"
"Oh…" Kim trailed off. "Well, you can't really keep a secret…"
Ron opened his mouth to reply, but Ann Possible and Tim Possible appeared in the doorway. It was obvious they had been talking before they stood there.
"Kim," Mr. Possible smiled kindly.
Kim ran up to him, and threw herself into his arms. "Dad!"
They broke apart, and he asked her sincerely, "What is going on?"
"I'll explain in a sec, but for now go get Jim and Tim."
Anne went off into the hallway to retrieve the two boys. Kim returned to her medial spot on the couch, and Mr. Possible sat on half of a love seat beside the large sofa.
"Kim's home?" a young voice announced at the top of the staircase.
"What does she need this time?" another boy popped his head out.
"Get down here, Dweebs, I need your help."
At that, the two twins bounced down the stairs, and sat on the ground by the coffeetable. Ms. Possible took her seat next to her husband, and they all stared intently at Kim.
They sat there in silence, and then Jim broke it, "So who's your friend."
"Why is his hair white?"
"And what is he wearing?"
"Jim! Tim!" Kim accused. She looked to their parents for help, but they appeared to not be on her side in this.
"I have the same questions, Kimmie," her dad announced and protectively folded his arms.
Kim sighed in embarrassment. Luckily, a certain ghost boy help her out of that.
He stood up, and walked over to the two parents. "Hi, I'm Danny Phantom." He extended his hand to the two adults, but they both appeared hesitant.
"Danny Phantom… Kim isn't that the ghost you're supposed to be hunting."
"The one and only," Danny cockily smiled.
Now they were really confused.
"But it's okay," Danny added. "I'm not the bad guy."
"You're a ghost?" Tim asked, his eyes widening.
"Sure am," Danny smiled again. He did enjoy the attention even if he didn't dare admit it.
"Woah," Jim smiled.
"He's not the enemy," Kim started. "But that is why we're here."
She launched into a huge explanation – for every party in the room – about how she had been dooped and tricked into believing that the Phantom was bad, but wasn't actually. She talked about their experience in the 'Ghost Zone' – leaving out certain parts of course – and ended with a question:
"So will you help us? Will you help me defeat this guy?"
Mr. and Mrs. Possible exchanged worried looks, but the two young boys piped in, "I'm in!"
"Getting to watch ghost guts fly all over the place? Wouldn't miss it."
"I'll help, too," Ron promised.
That left two candidates. "Mom, Dad, please? I could really use your science skills with this," Kim pleaded, and even stamped the puppy dog face on. Both parents knew they didn't stand a chance against that. "Fine, Kim, we'll help," Mrs. Possible told her daughter.
Kim flung herself off the couch and gave both parents a giant hug, "Thank you both so much!"
"And you three, too," she turned around and said to the boys who also agreed.
Kim's backstory reminded Danny of something he really needed to do. "Can I please use your phone?"
Mrs. Possible appeared taken aback, but reached over to where the landline sat, and handed the boy the phone. Jim and Tim looked like they half expected the phone to fall right through his grip, but, of course, it didn't. he took the phone, and excused himself while he walked into the kitchen to talk in peace.
He knew there was only one person he could call.
…
Tucker stared curiously at his phone. He didn't recognize the number, and didn't even know the area code. Hesitantly, he placed the device to his ear, and spoke.
"Hullo?"
Tuck! It's me, but don't say my name. Pretend, you're on the phone with your parents or something.
Tucker's eyes popped from their sockets. "Uhh… sure thing Dad," he said, and signaled a 'hang on a sec' finger to the two girls in the lab.
Now excuse yourself and go into my kitchen.
Tucker didn't even ask to know how he knew he was at his house. Where else would he be when his best friend went missing?
"Dad, you're breaking up hang on," he said over the phone, and walked up the stairs.
He checked behind himself to make sure neither Sam nor Jazz followed him, and stage-whispeed across the phone, "Dude! Where are you? We have some serious dirt on this Girl in White! You won't be-"
It's Kim.
"Wuh? How'd you know?"
I don't have a lot of time. She's not evil – just set up. Vlad's been filling her head with lies. He sent me and her into the Ghost Zone, and we talked. I know her secret, and she knows mine, and we're sorta in her hometown right now.
Tucker nodded. That would explain why he didn't know the area code. "Well, what's up? I'm assuming your safe and all, so what do you need?"
A way to get back to Amity Park. If I tell you where the key to the portal is, can you – and you alone – take the Specter Speeder to exact coordinates and meet me and a few people there? We're building an army to fight Vlad.
"A what? Why?"
Because I'm sick and tired of having Vlad in my life and ruining it! We need to scare him off for good.
"Okay, I'll do what I can, but I'm not sure how much that is…"
Go to my bedroom. In my sock draw is the key to the portal from the outside. Take the Specter Speeder, and meet me at 39.7 N and 103. 6 W. Plug it into the map in there, and follow the instructions.
"What do I tell Jazz and Sam? I'm guessing there's a reason you didn't want them to know I was on the phone with you."
I don't know! Tell them to get food; convince them to go see Vlad at his house. Anything!
"Got it. And dude?"
Yeah?
"Stay safe."
Always.
Tucker hung up, and sprinted up the stairs to retrieve the key, once he'd found it, he rushed back to the basement where Sam and Jazz both still sat staring at the portal.
"What did he want?" Jazz asked.
"WHAT?" Tucker was so confused. How had they known!
"Your dad. What did he want?"
Tucker calmed down. "Oh, he just wanted to know when I'd be home…."
Jazz just nodded in reply, and Sam didn't even notice Tucker had left. He walked over to them, and said, "Okay, who's starving? Because I know I am! And I think you two should get out of the house. Go get something to eat, I'll sit here and 'watch the portal'."
"You don't want any food?" Sam asked, bewildered.
"Just pick something up for me. You two need to get some fresh air."
The two girls looked at each other, and realized Tucker was accurate. They stood up, stretched, and walked over to the entrance to the lab. "See you in a bit," Jazz told Tucker as she grabbed her keys.
Once Tucker heard the front door slam, he immediately opened the portal, and fired up the Specter Speeder. He plugged in the coordinates Danny had given him, and soared into the viridescent sky.
…
Danny walked back into the family room to find all seven pairs of eyes turned towards.
Wait… seven?
He locked his glowing green orbs with Mr. Possible first then his wife, then the two younger brother's of Kim, then the blonde, Ron, some Asian girl and finally Kim.
His eyes immediately went back to the "some Asian girl" and he stared at her, clearly perplexed. It was obvious to the entire room that Danny was staring at the Asian girl with short black hair, so Ron cleared his throat, and introduced the two strangers.
"Phantom, or, um, Danny… which do you prefer?" Ron began timidly.
"Phantom's fine," Danny responded – really talking to the whole room. If he ever got lucky enough to get introduced to Kim's family as her boyfriend, he didn't want to be compared to the ghost boy for having the same first name.
"Well, Phantom, this is my girlfriend. Uh, Yuri, this is my best friend's boy friend."
"BOY FRIEND!" Kim's father shouted, and stood up. Danny could just read his thoughts: No daughter of mine will date a ghost!
"Boy – friend," Kim corrected quickly. "As in a boy… who's also a friend."
This lie seemed to calm Mr. Possible down, and returned to his chair.
"Well, uh, anyway," Ron continued. He'd known that Kim thought he was the one who was going to slip up, and he didn't want to prove her right. "Phantom, Yuri; Yuri, Phantom." He gestured between the two, and Danny just smiled and returned to his seat by Kim. He felt safest around her while around all these crazy people.
"Yuri's gonna help us defeat Plasmius," Kim smiled.
"Wait, are you sure? I don't want her getting hurt," he said to Kim but turned to Yuri after speaking. Ron was about to answer, but Yuri's lips were moving, and her soft voice began to explain.
"I am trained in the Yamanouchi Ninja Arts. I believe I can handle anything thrown at me," she smiled.
Danny nodded, looking rather relieved. "Well, we'd love to have you. We need all the help we can get."
She did a respectful bow, and took a seat on the armrest near Ron.
"So if you need this 'big army,' who else are you planning on asking?" Mr. Possible inquired.
Kim had thought about Monique, but knew she wasn't very skilled. Still, there may be something she could do. Maybe just hold a bazooka or even come along for the ride.
She also thought about Wade, who of course, would be happy to join – in holographic form or not. She also remembered Team Go, who owed her a favor or two.
And Team Go got her thinking of one special green-flamed woman and her blue friend. But they'd be the hardest to convince, and therefore a last priority on Kim's agenda.
First, she had to start with Moniqe.
She swiftly stood up, and gestured for Danny to do the same.
"Dad, go gather all the high-tech tools you can from your lab. Mom, help the boys build at least a dozen mini robots. Phantom, Ron, Yuri, and I will go get more people to help," Kim instructd, taking leadership. Luckily, no one put up a complaint to their assigned position, so Kim showed the other three teenagers the way out.
Once outside of the cozy modern home, Kim turned to Yuri and Ron. "You two go get Wade. Danny and I got Monique. We'll meet at Bueno Nacho and head over to Team Go Headquarters after lunch. I'll discuss the rest then.
They split up, and Danny extended his hand to Kim. "Ready?" he asked. She nodded and grasped it. He turned both of them invisible, and she gave him directions of where to go to get to the mall.
Kim was trying to keep a level head, and remember what she was doing here, but all she could think of was getting to see her friend for the first time in so long.
He descended from the air, and reappeared the both of them right outside Club Banana. From the outside, Kim could see her friend folding yellow skinny jeans neatly, and arranging them by order of size. Under ordinary circumstances, Kim would barge in like nothing and ask how much they were, maybe try a few pairs on, and leave with her at the end of the day.
Only, this wasn't normal. She hadn't seen her friend in two months, and although her and Ron could act like nothing was the matter, it wasn't the same with Monique.
Danny, sensing her angst, held his hand for her, and smiled warmly, "She won't yell with me here, right?"
Kim laughed, but not for the reasons Danny thought. She laughed because she totally would do that. Still, Danny's warmth gave her some confidence, so she walked into the fluorescent-lighting store, and up to her table.
"Can I get these in a size 6?" she said, nonchalantly, and leaned on the table.
Monique, without looking up, bobbed her curly head, and pulled the 6 out from the middle. She looked up to hand over the neat jeans to the potential customer, and but ended up dropping them on the floor.
"Oh my god!" she squealed – eyes beginning to water. She rushed in for a great big hug, but immediately pulled back repulsed.
"Wait a sec, I'm mad at you! We can't hug! We can't make up! You left. Out of the fricking blue air!"
"Monique…."
"With hardly saying goodbye," she added, and Kim felt awful, but she kept her head, up, and said, "I'm here now. Isn't that all that matters?"
Monique looked about ready to break. "Yes!" she wailed and embraced her again. "You're forgiven, just don't ever leave me again."
This time she pulled back, smiling, and looked over her friend's shoulder. "Uh, Kim… care to introduce me to your friend?"
"Oh duh, this is Danny Phantom. I met him over the mission. It's this big huge mess. I'll give you all the deats at a later date, but right now I need a solid yes or no answer."
"What is it?"
"Will you help me, Phantom, Ron, Yuri, and my family fight a bad ghost away."
"Girl, if I get to catch up with you in the midst of it, you know I'm in."
Kim suddenly threw her arms around Monique in a sign of gratitude, and they embraced yet again. While hugging, Monique whispered in a hushed tone, "So, uh, girl… Are you riding that thing, or can I jump on?"
Kim's eyes bugged out of their sockets, and Danny turned vermillion, both shocked and embarrassed.
...
Ron, Yuri, and Wade were all waiting at the usual table in Bueno Nacho. Ron – and Rufus – were as usual stuffing their faces with one of everything on the menu as they waited for the others to join them. They talked about a few things and Wade was especially curious about this ghost boy kid. He kept asking questions about how he can walk and talk and think, and all that.
It lasted until the three friends noticed Kim and Danny – and Monique – walking towards the restaurant that Wade shut up and stopped asking questions. As the new comers headed up to the table, Wade immediately stood up.
"Mr., er, Phantom, sir. This is just… do you mind if I ask you a few questions? I mean, I've never… I've just never encountered such a… I, er…" Wade stuttered.
"Uh, sure," Danny shrugged.
"Great," Wade smiled, and took a seat at the table again. This was followed by Kim and Monique who also sat. Danny looked at both side of the booth, but they were already stacked to the fullest. On the left bench, Kim sat in between Ron and Monique, and on the right, Yuri and Wade sat, only they were sitting too far apart for any room to be let for Danny. He looked awkwardly between the friends and realized instantly that he was the odd one out.
"Yo Ghost Boy, you don't need to sit do you?" Monqiue questioned. She said it like the thought of him wanting to sit down was preposterous and insane. Danny replied, awkwardly, "Uh, no no, I'm fine. I'll just, uh, float."
"Mh-kay," Monique shrugged and looked to the rest of the table. Everyone instantly launched into a conversation except for Kim who looked sadly over to Danny and gave him a sad smile. He smiled gently back as if to say, don't worry about me.
Kim looked back to the table and interrupted the current conversation by saying, "Okay, so we're all on the same page, right? We're going back to Phantom's home town, and defeating this ghost, Plasmius, for the good of his town and ours. So far, our team consists of the 6 of us and my parents and brothers. The next people we wanna ask is Team Go, who I'm sure will help us. But Team Go includes Shego, who includes Drakken, and I would like to have them on our team. They could be really useful, even if they'll take some convincing."
"Uh, earth to KP: DRAKKEN AND SHEGO! OUR SWORN ENEMIES!" Ron shouted across the table, spitting his chewed up naco everywhere in the process.
"I know, Ron, but neither of them are something we can't handle, especially all six of us. So why not at least try? You know we could use them… or at least Shego. Drakken's just along for the ride."
Ron frowned, "KP, if you say it's a good idea, I believe you, but I want you to know I don't like this 'partnering with the enemy' stuff."
Kim smiled at him gently and reassuringly, and turned her attention to the rest of the table.
"So, our first task is to catch a ride to Go City. Wade, think you can use any of our old friends and ask if they'd like to help out?"
Wade nodded, and began fumbling with his iPhone. He poked at it for a few moments before properly saying, "Okay, Master Billions is gonna help us out."
"Master Billions? When did I ever do anything for someone by that name?" Kim questioned.
Wade replied, "Remember your first mission. That billionare guy you saved was 'Master Billions.' I guess we never got his name until now. Anyway, he's still offering us a ride in his blimp."
"A blimp? Those are so slow," Kim complained.
"Don't worry. It's a high-tech, state-of-the-art blimp. An invention of his. In fact, it should be landing right about… now." Wade's 'now' coincided perfectly with that of the blimp's arrival. The moment the word left his lips, a gigantic blimp with a face monogramed on it appeared outside Bueno Nacho.
All six teenagers happily boarded. Well, five; Danny, on the other hand, seemed very skeptic of this "blimp". The only flying machine he'd ever been in was one that his parents invented. He just didn't want anything to go wrong.
But he boarded anyway knowing that if Kim trusted this balloon, so should he.
They all sat around the control panel talking to the master about how he's been for the past five years. After all, that is a long time to not see someone after saving their life. Kim usually stayed very close friends with the people she saved on missions. That was how she was able to get so many rides and favors.
Danny sat on the floor, white knuckling the carpet his butt was placed on. He could feel every turbulent jolt that the blimp experience, but he thought if he kept his eyes tightly shut he wouldn't feel any of it.
He suddenly was forced into opening them by a voice that seemed to be addressed to him.
"I've never seen a ghost scared of flying, but then again, I've never really seen a ghost."
Danny looked up to find Kim's friend – Monique, was it? – standing next to him. She suddenly took a seat beside him, and began a conversation:
"So, 'Phantom', tell me. Do you like Kim?"
"Whuh?" Danny asked, confused.
"Look, I see the way you look at her. And I know she looks at you the same way, only when she thinks no one else is looking, but I am," she asserted.
"We… I… You've…" Danny struggled to get out.
"You don't have to worry about me judging either of you. I think it's really cute, actually. And don't worry. I can keep a secret."
Danny was about to say something of a thanks to the black girl, but when he opened his mouth, a blaring siren suddenly went off. His eyes immediately snapped to the control panel. He knew something was going to go wrong.
He rushed over to the red lights. The master was frantically pressing buttons, and effectively making the situation worse. "What's going on?" Danny demanded, rather forcefully.
"We're going down!" the master immediately took a few steps back from the front of the blimp, and opened up the door of the blimp. Every one snapped their eyes to the sound of rushing wind and bright light emitted from the sun. "I, I'm sorry," he said. "It's just… I've only got one parachute. I…" he didn't finish his thought because he jumped out of the door. Everyone watched, horrified, that he'd abandoned all his guests aboard his blimp.
"So this is why I've never asked him a favor," Kim reminded herself, then suddenly moved her attention back to the blaring sirens and flashing lights.
"We ran out of gas. What kind of person doesn't gas up a blimp before departing?" Kim rhetorically asked.
"Hang on," Danny replied. "I've got this."
He immediately went intangible and darted through the floor of the little room. Once outside, he flew directly underneath the control room, and eyed the ground below them. He saw the sign that said, "Welcome to Go City."
At least we made it here, Danny sarcastically said to himself.
He watched as the trees began growing bigger and bigger in his eyes, and when one of them just brushed his leg, he turned the entire blimp intangible, and kept it that way even past the trees until it safely stopped on the ground to which he was finally able to release it.
Breathing heavily, he opened the hatch that the passengers had closed since the master had jumped off, and put his hands on his knees – bent over in trying to catch his breath.
Kim was the first one off. "Are you okay," she ran to him. He only nodded, and pushed her away. He just needed to catch his breath. Then he'd be fine.
She nodded, feeling slightly rejected, but was then drawn out of that by Ron's voice. "Hey look Go Tower!"
Not a moment after that, all four Go Team members circled the 6 teenagers.
"Kim Possible," Hego began. "Wh-what are you doing in Go City? Is something wrong?"
Kim nodded. "We need your help. All of your help, if you'd be willing."
"Are you crazy?" Wego asked.
"Of course, we'll help," the other Wego completed.
Kim nodded thankfully.
"You're always a friend of Team Go!" Hego told her.
"Yeah. If it's important to you, then it's important to me," even Mego agreed.
Kim smiled, "Thank you all so much. Can you give us a lift back to Middleton? As you can see our ride here kinda… well, got destroyed."
"Of course!" Hego answered.
"We can take-" one Wego said.
"The Go Car!" the other one finished.
"So your just gonna help us? Just like that?" Danny questioned.
"And… who are you?" Mego asked.
"We'll explain everything on the way there. We REALLY need to get moving."
The members of Team Go all nodded, and agreed to that.
"WE'LL go get it!" The Wegos said together.
Instantly, they began duplicating themselves in order to run fastest, and in only two short seconds, a gigantic race car was sitting in front of them.
"We got it!" only one Wego said.
Everyone instantly climbed inside, but there was a bit of fight between who got passenger seat.
"Nooo way, you scrawny midgets! I get the passenger seat. I am older!" Mego was screaming.
"Well we both fit, so we're saving more room by sitting here," they argued.
"Well if I sit on top of you, then maybe we could save even more room!" he argued back.
"Doesn't mind us. We're not moving!" the twins said with as much as sass as they could muster.
"Fine!" Mego eventually huffed, and took a seat ontop the two boys.
"We can't breathe!" one of them said.
"Help Hego!" the other added.
Hego immediately picked up Mego by the head like a crane machine, and tossed him in the back.
"Brats…" Mego sighed under his breath, and slouched grumpily.
"Everyone behave," Hego's deep voice carried through. "And hang on. I like to go fast," he smirked.
Danny felt his life flash before his eyes. The superhero must've been going at least 100 mph from point one of departure to the second they arrived.
The trip was only half an hour with the speed Hego was going, and he even managed to get them directly in front of Drakken and Shego's lair. Kim sighed. This was going to be the hard part.
…
"Okay, Ron, Phantom, and I will go up into the tower. Monique, Wade, and Team Go, you guys stay down here. Wade, I'll beep you if we need any back up. Is everyone okay with this plan?" Kim was saying to the entire crowd.
Yes, Danny thought. Please stop calling me Phantom. He cringed every time she did. It was tolerable when the others did it, but not when Kim did. And he didn't even know why…
Still, no one seemed to vocalize any complaint, so Kim was about to turn to the ghost kid and Ron when someone finally did speak up.
"Well, wait, why can't I go? I'm her brother!"Mego argued.
"Because in case you didn't know, Mego, Shego has never been keen on helping her brothers. She left you, remember?" Kim retorted.
That shut Mego up, and although Kim felt bad for her harshness, she simply didn't have time for him right now.
"Alright, Phantom, are you ready?" Kim turned her attention back to Danny, who nodded in reply. Kim returned the affirmative nod, and snatched Ron's arm.
Danny grabbed hold of Kim's arm, and turned the three of them intangible.
"When we get up there, stay invisible," Kim told the ghost boy.
Danny nodded, then, realizing she couldn't see him, enunciated, "Okay," very submissively.
He bounced off the floor, and heard Ron scream at first, but then diminish when they got to a more comfortable altitude.
He landed both of them on the mouth of the lair, and stayed invisible himself. The three teenagers walked through the opening, and immediately blaring red lights flashed in both directions. Danny's eyes went straight to Kim, but she was already jumping through the air to miss huge butcher knives being chucked her way. She did an elegant double backflip, and landed gracefully on the wall. She then bounced off the wall, and glided through the air back onto the ground. When she landed, she rolled once or twice around before springing up in a ready pose.
Another obstacle came her way when a series of hot lasers targeted her at different angles and at various times. She effectively blocked every one, which made Danny eventually realize that she didn't need any help. She had this under control. He turned his attention to Ron who seemed to be managing his own – just a little less gracefully than Kim.
He would've been worried about himself, but in his invisible state nothing could get him.
Finally, after a while, a squeaky yet deep voice bellowed through the air, "Stop the booby traps!"
"Kim Possible and, er, her sidekick," a blue fellow came through the shadows, and Danny saw him on a high balcony overlooking the spectacle down here.
"Aw c'mon! My name is RON! RON STOPPABLE!" Danny heard Ron yell behind him.
"Yes, well, what do you want Kim Possible? I have not been up to any 'evil-ing' lately. I've been trying to turn over a new leaf. I swear by it, I've caused no trouble in quite some time."
"Is that Kimmie?" a much more feminine voice came from behind the blue man. When Danny was able to see her, he realized she had a similar appearance to that of the "Go Team". Her skin was a sickly green, and she had thick black curls, and the same suit as the others on the squad except hers was green and black. He realized this must've been the infamous Shego that he'd heard so much about.
"Kimmie!" she said in a sarcastic-excited way. "Long time no see. We'd been thinking you'd given up this whole 'hero business'." She smirked, and immediately launched herself off the high balcony at the ginger.
Kim put her hands up in a fighting stance, but Danny was quicker. He lifted his invisible blanket, and blocked Kim's body with his own. The green glow that the woman had somehow shot at Kim was easily dissipated by Danny, and he counteracted by shooting some of his green ectoplasm at the girl.
Shego immediately stopped her fighting, and stood straight. "Wh-who are you?" she seemed utterly surprised.
"Name's Phantom. I'd ask for an introduction by you , except I already know your name," he smirked and pulled back for another blow, aiming directly at her head.
Shego, as expected, easily avoided this, and smiled widely, "I like this one! He's like me! Except for that whole white hair business, but a bit of hair dye can change that. We're gonna be good friends, you and me, kid," Shego told him.
Danny only rolled his eyes, "For you and I to be friend's you'd have to not hurt people."
"Ugh, another hero! Jeez, it's like a freaking disease around here. Well, no matter." She lit her hands up, and was about to charge.
"WAIT!" Ron yelled, and all eyes turned to him. "There's a reason that we're here, so if we could NOT get sidetracked?" Ron reminded the other two heroes.
"He's right," Kim said. "We're here to ask for your help. Can we call for a truce for the next 48 hours?"
"A truce?" Shego questioned. "I don't usually do those, but I don't want to dismantle that pretty face of yours, Sweet Pea."
"Sweet Pea?" Danny asked, unsure who she was addressing.
Shego walked up to him, and gently dabbed his nose with her right index finger, "That's you, Sweet Pea." She threw him a wink, and walked away from him, swaying her hips in a sultry, sexy way.
"Dr. D! You up for a truce here with Kimmie?" she shouted to the blue guy, and launched herself up the walls, seductively climbing up to the balcony, and swinging her hips over the rail.
"A truce?! With Kim Possible? I don't usually do truces…" Dr. Drakken scratched his chin on the idea.
"Come on, Drakken. We need your help. Someone from Phantom here's town is trying to take over the world," Kim stretched a bit.
"WHAT?" Drakken shouted.
"And you know what that means…" Kim threw the bait.
"If he takes over the world, I can't! Shego, we're calling for a truce, and helping Kim Possible with, uh, the other super villain," Drakken decided.
"Uh, great," Shego complained.
"Oh, one more thing. You're brothers are helping us, Shego," Kim added quickly.
"WHAT!"
…
Drakken flew – or Shego, rather – all of the passengers out of his lair on his hover craft, except for Danny, who preferred to fly. Still, they all made it to the ground at the same time, and as soon as Danny's feet touched the concrete, he heard his phone buzz inside his hazmat suit.
He immediately pulled it out, and held it to his ear.
"Hello?"
"Hey, dude, I made it through that portal, but uh, I don't know where I am now. You're here right?"
"Yes, Tuck I am! Okay put the intangible setting on the Specter Speeder, I'll be there in ten minutes."
"You got it," Tucker said before hanging up. Danny put his phone back away, and turned to the hero team he had situated.
He spoke to Kim, "That was Tuck. We've got a ride back to Amity Park that can hold all of us. Are we ready?"
Kim nodded, "Yea, I'll just call my parents and tell them to meet us there."
She quickly did as she had said on the phone, and put it back in her cargo pants.
The team climbed into Go Team's car, except for Shego who refused to be in such a closed space with her brothers, and made Drakken go with her by means of the hovercraft. Kim was unsettled by this, but allowed for it, and told them where to go in case the car and hovercraft got separated.
When they arrived at the designated spot that Kim and Danny had emerged from not twenty four hours ago, the other Possible's were already there. The team gathered around while Danny searched for Tucker.
Finally, he felt like he saw a thin, almost unseeable, outline of the Specter Speeder, and waved at Tucker through it.
"Uh, what is he doing?" Shego asked everyone else.
No one was able to answer, however, becaue the enormous Specter Speeder came into the light, and the crowd gasped. Tucker emerged, and greeted Danny, "Hey Dude! I did everything you said, but, uh, care to explain now?"
"I will when we're flying through the Ghost Zone. Right now, let me introduce you."
He took the young black boy over to the crowd and told them all his name was Tucker. Danny then went around the semicircle that had formed:
"Okay, so, you know Kim, and that's her mom and dad, and two younger brothers – Jim and Tim; that's her best friend, Ron, and his girlfriend, Yuri. That's her other best friend, Wade, who's a computer genius. That's the Wegos, Mego, and Hego, a superhero team from a town not far from here. Their all brothers plus their estranged sister, Shego, who is partnered with Kim's arch nemesis, Drakken, the blue guy over there. Oh, and she is Monique, Kim's pretty normal best friend."
They all waved at the new stranger, and Danny instructed them all to climb aboard the Specter Speeder. Danny took a seat at the front control – being a bit more equipped to find where they were going – and Kim sat next to him. The others climbed into the back, and made themselves comfortable, knowing this trip was going to be quite long.
Danny geared up the space-like craft, and pushed the handle forward to move the large flying plane forward. He then push a green button that produce a swirling green orb in front of them, and advanced towards it.
"We're not going in there are we?" Shego asked from the back.
Danny didn't answer because he knew that no one would like it.
Because yes, that is exactly where they were going.
A/N: So... what did you think? Did you like it, not like it? Whatever it is, please review! I just love reading all of them!
