Ted, Rick, Rebecca, Louis and Zara all stood facing down Prothiak. They shifted their stances slightly, their individual weapons materialising in their hands, while Ted pulled his Rev Protector from his belt, shifting it to sabre mode.
"This is where it ends, Prothiak." Ted said "I need the rest of you to deal with the Drones. Prothiak's mine."
"You sure you can beat him on your own?" Rick asked "Not doubting you but… He's tough."
"I know." Ted said "But he killed my Dad…"
"Good enough for me." Louis said "Give him hell."
"Let's do this thing." Rebecca said.
"One more time?" Zara remarked "Sounds like fun."
"Talk is cheap." Ted said "Rangers Forever!"
"Rangers Forever!" The other four chimed in before they all charged forward.
Rick, Rebecca, Zara and Louis all shifted into their Over Rev modes, beginning to attack the Drones. Rick fired port shots with his Engine Blaster, whilst Rebecca swept under a trio of the drones with her staff, Zara throwing one of her Kama into the head of a Drone whilst slashing into the chest of another, and Louis slamming his hammer down on another. Meanwhile, Ted began taking slash after slash at Prothiak, shifting into his own Over Rev mode as he did.
"Forgotten what I told you, boy?" Prothiak questioned as he blocked strike after strike "Attacking in anger never results in a victory."
"Not even when you're fighting a monster who killed your Father?" Ted remarked "Not even after it worked on both of his sons? They both lost against me. They were pathetic. I did you a favour by killing them…"
"You killed one." Prothiak growled "Portax was killed by your friends."
"In a Megazord piloted by a future me." Ted said "I killed both of your sons, you Mother-"
Prothiak didn't let him finish his comment, instead grabbing Ted by the head and hurling him into a nearby building. Ted slowly stood up, his head ringing. Prothiak was strong. Stronger than him. But he was getting angry. Ted could use that, use his own methods against him.
"Paladin Morpher!" He called, the morpher materialising on his wrist "Red Paladin Ranger!"
He morphed into his caped Battilizer form before charging towards Prothiak, the spear facing outward. Prothiak began his own charge, the spear impaling his shoulder. Prothiak roared in pain, raising his sword above his head.
"Good bye, Red Ranger." Prothiak said "You were almost a challenge…"
He went to bring his sword down. As he did, his hand was struck by beams of green, silver and gold energy, causing him to drop the sword. He turned with a growl, seeing The Professor, Alex and Joe stood there, their respective blasters trained on Prothiak. Jin was beside them, his gauntlets glowing with bronze coloured lightning.
"Sorry we're late." The Professor said "We got a little side tracked killing Portax."
Prothiak struck out, sending Ted flying, the spear still sticking out of Prothiak's shoulder as he charged at the four new additions to the battle. The four of them rolled out of the way of his attack while Rick, Rebecca, Louis and Zara helped Ted up. Jin, Joe, Alex and the Professor joined up with the rest of the team. Rick and Louis shifted into Rescue Ranger mode, keeping their personal weapons drawn.
"Okay, we attack him together." The Professor said, shifting the Chrono Defender into sabre mode.
"Ted's meant to be the team leader." Jin remarked "Let him make the plans."
"Surprised to hear you back my authority, but I'll take it. Thanks, teach." Ted said "As he was saying, good plan. Let's do this!"
The nine Rangers charged in. First Jin struck Prothiak with his charged gauntlets, before the Professor slashed down on the Emperor with his sword, Joe jumping over him and firing pot shots from above, whilst Alex slashed across Prothiak's chest. Next, Zara came in, striking him with both her Kama, before Louis smashed his hammer down on the monster's head. Rebecca came in with Rick, Rebecca striking high with her staff while Rick slid between his legs, firing blasts up the whole time. Finally, Ted came running in with his Transport Sabre, slashing across Prothiak's throat whilst pulling the Paladin spear from his shoulder.
"Rick, Louis, time to finish this." Ted said "Rick, attack him on street level. Louis, go low. I'll go high."
Rick and Louis nodded. Louis deployed his drills, digging into the ground below, whilst Ted entered flight mode, the spear and his sabre attaching to his gauntlets, and Rick charged forward, swinging the claws at Prothiak.
"Give up." Prothiak said, panting slightly.
"Sorry, can't do that." Rick said while Louis came up from beneath the Emperor "Do you think we should give up?"
"Hell no!" Louis said, his drills ramming into Prothiak's gut "I think he'd disagree too."
"Yes I would. This is for my Dad…" Ted said from above, his two blades glowing with Red Energy, a ball forming between them as he raised them above his head "Maximum Final Strike!"
He hurled the ball of energy down at Prothiak, the Emperor being enveloped in a large explosion. He touched down beside the rest of the team, the spear rotating round to his back whilst he took his sabre in his hand.
"Let's put them together!" He said, as Rebecca, Rick, Louis and Zara helped him assemble the Rev Max Cannon "All of them."
The Professor attached his Chrono Defender to the back end of the blaster, Alex's sabre's being attached one on either side of the barrel while Joe put his two blasters underneath, Jin supporting the newly enhanced blaster, energy from his gauntlets channelling into the weapon.
"Ultimate Rev Max Cannon!" The Rangers called as they got into formation, Joe helping Jin support the weight, whilst Rick, Rebecca, Zara, Louis, Alex and The Professor formed up behind Ted.
"Ready." Zara, Alex and Rebecca said.
"Aim…" Joe, Jin and Louis said.
"Fire!" Called Ted, Rick and the Professor as Ted pulled the trigger, a large rainbow coloured blast firing at Prothiak as he struggled to stand up, the blast causing the Emperor to collapse and explode in a ball of flames.
"We did it…" Zara said.
"Never doubted it." Joe quipped.
"I did." Jin admitted "A lot."
"No comment." Louis said, shaking his head.
"We actually won." Rebecca said, hugging Alex.
"We did!" Alex replied.
"Guess that's it then." Rick said.
"You want to say it or should I?" The Professor asked Ted.
"I'll take it." Ted said with a small smirk as they all reverted to their base forms "And that, Rangers, is how we Rev it up!"
The nine of them laughed as they de-morphed.

The Professor stood in the middle of the bunker, with the eight Rangers stood around him. He still had the Chrono Morpher on his wrist, a large hold all over his shoulder.
"Thank you, all of you." He said "Thanks to you, the future's safe. I can go home."
"Dad's still not going to be there." Ted grimaced.
"Maybe not." The Professor said with a small smile "But there's other things waiting for me."
"Such as?" Alex asked, adding quickly "I'm sure Ted's dying to know."
"Which is exactly why I'm not telling him." The Professor said "Now, in order for the time jump to work, I need each of you to insert the power source from your morphers into the console."
"So we won't be the Power Rangers any more?" Jin asked.
"As some of you said earlier, Rangers Forever." The Professor quipped as Jin, Joe and Alex inserted the small power cells from their morphers into the console.
"It's been fun." Zara said "I didn't really have many friends, outside Rebecca, before all this.
"It was… Interesting." Louis said "Be nice not to wake up covered in bruises though."
"I can agree with that." Rebecca said as she, Louis and Zara input their power cells into the console.
"Guess it's just the two of us now." Rick said to Ted, holding out a hand to him "Good job, fearless leader."
"Couldn't have done it without you, buddy." Ted said, pushing Rick's hand down and pulling him into a hug "Couldn't have asked for a better right hand."
The two young men separated before inserting their power cells into the console as the Professor pressed a few controls on his morpher, a rippling portal appearing in front of him.
"I guess this is where I go back to the future." He said "Oh, and Ted? When you're at the prom… She is giving you the signal!"
"What?" Ted asked as the Professor stepped through the portal "What the hell is he talking about?"

The Professor materialised in a large, idyllic house. It was totally different to the lab he'd left all those years ago. He slowly moved through the house, until he reached a large living room with white walls, a red sofa and a number of wooden units with various photos.
He moved through the room, looking at the photos. There were pictures of him in what looked to be his early thirties with a couple of kids with a slightly olive skin tone, a boy and a slightly younger girl. Then there was another picture that was from the prom.
Ted, Rick, Rebecca, Zara, Louis, Joe, Alex and Kendra, with Jin photo bombing the background. The Professor smirked to himself. Jin had got a sense of humour, eventually. He picked the photo up.
"Those were the days." He said, feeling the memories slowly coming to him "Way to go, guys."
"Reminiscing, Dad?" Came a voice from the door way, The Professor turning to see a young woman in her mid twenties with olive skin and long, black hair "Mom always loves telling me about that prom."
"She ever tell you about the week that came before it?" He asked with a small grin.
"Nope." She said, before grinning back "But you always enjoyed telling me all about it at bed time. About Rektax, Portax, about your Dad, about Prothiak, and about what came next."
"Next?" The Professor said, his face dropping "There was a next bit?"
"Of course there was." The young woman said, picking up another photo and handing it to him "See?"
The Professor looked down at the photo. In it was Ted in a black t-shirt and leather jacket, Rick in a red button down shirt, Louis in a yellow t-shirt, Joe in a green jacket, Alex in a blue blouse and jeans, and Kendra in a pink shirt and denim skirt. The environment looked like a cleaned up, re-decorated Command Bunker.
"You may have finished Rev Max." She said with a small grin "But Dad, don't forget about Paleo Force."

In the north of Egypt, a man was digging through the sand quickly. His hands were bloodied and the skin was slowly tearing away from his knuckles. Underneath, a metal structure could be seen over the musculature of each finger.
As he continued to dig, there was a clank as the metal knuckles impacted something in the sand. He pulled out what he'd found, a metal mask with a red visor and a vent across the mouth piece, a spike that looked to have a part broken off of it on top. Underneath it was a long, metal staff with a jagged shape across it. A large, cracked 'Z'.
"They put me to sleep for so many years…" The man said, putting his mask on "But soon, I'll be done with the pitiful Human shell I was imprisoned in. And then the world will know true terror thanks to Prothiak's attempts to recruit me. They will know terror as Lord Zedd returns…"
Zedd said nothing more to himself as he stood up, laughing maniacally.
