Alex was in the underground again. He had found out what he was looking for and now he was more sure than ever he would help if the orichalcos returned. The first time when Axalis was still learning from Mahad and Gaia in the spirit world the orichalcos had taken him prisoner and he was unable to help, but not this time. This time he would be damned if he couldn't help the court and protect the innocent from the corruption and infection of the seal.

He was sitting at his personal table when he heard a disturbance near the door to the exit. He got up and decided to see what he could do to help alleviate the disturbance. He soon came face to face with Draco Malfoy also known as the Black Dragon in the underground. He was fairly upset about something and he was arguing with another underground duelist.

"You think you even stand a chance against my cousin and her husband in a two on one you have another thing coming. You could barely hold a candle to me when we dueled, what makes you think you can bet them together?"

The person he was arguing with tried to say something but was shut off. He had nothing to say as Draco had shut him up with that simple truth. The duelist walked away in a huff and Draco soon came face to face with Alex.

"YOU!"

"I'm sorry," Alex said.

"You're the one I met back here years ago! You almost blew my cover with your stunt! This place was invaded by the ministry! I was only just able to make it out before they got me! To pay you back I challenge you!"

"Very well Black Dragon, but we will play by my rules, American Standard!"

"What is the difference?"

"With American Standard you play at 8000 life points apiece ad you cannot summon onsters in face up defense mode for your normal summon."

"Fine!"

"Very well then meet me at the arena in 10 minutes," Alex replied, "I need to make this match official. Make any necessary changes to your deck and I will see you in the arena," and Alex walked over to the promoter. Alex whispered into his ear and the promoter nodded and went to the sound booth and made the announcement.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a spur of the moment Challenge! The Black Dragon has challenged Axalis to and American standards match! This duel will take place in ten minutes so be ready to place bets on the winner of this duel and be ready for some intense action between two of the best duelist ever to set foot into an arena!"

With that the arena got into a buzz. With two of the best duelists on the roster about to go through a match this would be a match in the books and none would top it for a long time.

Ale went to his private table to choose his deck. He had recently been working on his LV deck to make it better. He had taken out the Armed Dragon series and added a few other cards he hadn't used in a while such as his Van'dalgyon and the knight series he had gotten shortly after his revival. He hoped this would be just what he needed to take the match. He made a few final adjustments and went to the arena to wait for the Black Dragon. On his way to the arena he thought her heard the clank of metal shift in one of the shadowed corners of the arena but dismissed it as a shifting in the bleachers around the ring.

Alex entered the ring and was fitted with the collar and arm bands, and went to the far side of the arena. The Black Dragon entered shortly after and was also fitted.

"You are going to pay for what you nearly cost me!" Black Dragon called out.

"Tell you what, to make things interesting how about a wager, you win I will do something for you to make up for the near miss you had 2 years ago. But if I win you get to listen to what I have to say and I want your cousin to join in on the explanation!"

"Fine, but I will make you pay for what you nearly cost me!" Black dragon called out, "Let's Duel!"

Both of their disks shifted to the battle position, their life meters rose to 8000, and the duel was on.

"being the challenged I will go first," called Alex. He looked over his hand and thought out the best possible opening move, "I will start with the Queen's Knight in ATK mode and play two cards face down for now."

"you have made this too easy! I will start with the Lancer Lindwurm in ATK mode and end my turn with a face down card. Let's see what you got!"

"No attack, Black Dragon? It seems you do have a bit of brains under that blonde hair, it seems I have met a contradiction, A smart blonde, but oh well, I play y King's Knight in ATK mode, this will allow me to summon Jack's Knight in attack mode right from my deck, next I activate one of my face downs, Mirage of Nightmare! Next I play another facedown card and have my Jack's Knight Attack your lancer!"

The blue clad knight charged across the arena then jumped it brought its sword down on the Lancer wielding dragon shattering it. With only 100 points of damage Draco Barely twitched. Draco looked at his hand and just grinned. What he had planned for next round would be more than enough to stop his opponent, he just had to draw the one card that could do it.

"I end my turn!"

"And I can destroy all those knights!" Draco called as he drew his card and smiled

"hold on my mirage activates! This card allows me to draw until I have four cards in my hand however at the standby phase of my next turn I discard the amount I drew, but that won't happen as I activate my other two face down cards, first my emergency provisions, I target my two cards, my face down and my mirage and I tribute them to gain life points, but I chain me hand destruction, we both send two cards from out hand to the grave yard and draw two to replace them."

Alex drew till he had four cards and then discarded the two he drew and drew two more . Draco tossed two cards and drew two more. Draco still was smiling. Alex took no notice and sent all three of his spell cards to the grave yard and his life meter rose to 10,000.

"I summon my Red-Eyes B. Chick, when I tribute this card I can summon a Red-Eyes B. Dragon from my hand, so I tribute the Chick so I can summon my Red-Eyes B. Dragon! And with the rise of my dragon I activate my spell card Inferno Fire Blast! Sure I give up my Red-Eyes' attack for the turn but at a chance to inflict 2400 points of damage to you is worth it!"

The red eyed dragon roared and spewed a crimson and Black flame blast at Alex. When it struck Alex, he cried out in pain. Taking a 2400 point hit right to his life points at once would take a toll. He dropped to on knee and caught his breath. Even with his control of the shadows trying to blunt the force of the shock was not enough to stop the pain. After a few moments he stood up more determined than ever to have the Black Dragon lose this one duel.

"I end my turn."

Alex looked at his life meter, it now read 7600 and drew his card, "I activate the Graveyard in the Fourth Dimension. I select two cards in my graveyard with LV in their card name and add them to my deck."

"but you don't have any monsters in your graveyard by my recall."

"oh, but I do, the two cards I discarded with Hand Destruction were Two of my most powerful LV monsters, the Silent Magician LV8 and Horus the black flame Dragon LV8. So now I return them to my deck and shuffle my deck. Next I summon my Silent Magician LV4 in ATK mode! Then I activate the Level Up Spell card I send my Silent Magician to the grave yard and summon her more powerful form, the form I returned to my deck, Silent Magician LV8!"

The small mage was engulfed in light and then when it faded in her place was a more mature female mage, time had progressed fast for the tiny magician and now she was grown up and had more power!

"And with the rise of my mage means the fall of your dragon. I move to my battle phase and have my mage attack your dragon!"

The female mage rose up and twirled her small staff and electricity started to collect and soon she aimed her staff at the red eyed dragon and let it all loose. The dragon cried out and shattered. Dracos Life meter dropped 1100 points to 6900. The shock shot through Draco and a small hiss escaped his lips.

"but I am not done yet, I will have my three knights charge in for a direct attack!"

The three royal knights charged being led by the jack's knight who struck first. Dropping Draco's Life meter to 5000, but before the shock could be dealt the Kings knight also struck dropping his meter again to 3400. Then again before the shock could be dealt again the Queen's knight charged and struck her sword. Draco's meter dropped again, this time to 1900. With the combined power of 5000 points of damage from three attacks accumulated this shock was going to hurt. The shock was administered and it was a doozy. Draco cried out a blood curdling shriek as he took 5000 points of damage in one shot. He fell on both of his knees and caught his breath as he dealt with the shock. Alex waited till Draco got back on his feet to continue.

"I play one card face down and end my turn."

Draco said nothing and drew his card, "I place a monster in defense mode and end my turn."

"That all Black Dragon? Have you nothing better to play? Very well I summon my most faithful dragon who has never left my side, Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV4, In ATK mode! And for now I end my turn."

"Why no attack?" Draco asked as he drew his card.

"call it a reprieve, you took a lot of damage in my last attack. I figured you could use a chance to try and make a comeback.

"it will cost you then, I summon Lava Dragon in attack mode! I use my dragon to attack your Queen's Knight!"

The new dragon roared and a molten flame spewed from its mouth and struck the Queen's Knight. The molten flam struck the female Knight and she cried out and shattered. Alex's meter dropped 100 points to 7500 and Alex let the pain flow from him as it was only 100 points of damage. He shrugged it off and let Draco Continue his turn.

"I end my turn."

Alex said nothing as he drew his card. He knew of the Lava dragon's ability and decided he would just play along, "I switch all om my monsters except my Horus and Magician to defense mode and end my turn."

Draco, slightly confused, drew his card and looked at it, he had what he needed now, "I switch my Lava dragon to Defense mode and use its ability, By tributing it while it is in defense mode I summon two Level three or lower dragon-type monsters, one from hand and one from the graveyard. From the hand, my masked dragon in defense mode and from the graveyard I choose my Red-Eyes B. Chick, which I play in ATK mode, because it won't be there long because I tribute it for its ability, so I can summon from my hand the Red-Eyes B. Dragon! I now have it attack your Jack's Knight!"

The new Red-eyed dragon roared and a black and crimson fire ball was blasted at the blue armor clad knight. As the knight was in DEF mode no damage was dealt.

"I end my turn."

Alex again said nothing as he drew his card and he smiled, "it is time that I end this, I switch my King's knight to ATK mode and play the spell card Level UP! Is end Horus LV4 to the grave so I can play my Horus LV6 from my deck! I now have Horus LV6 attack your facedown monster!"

"you attacked my Dragon dwelling in the cave, with a DEF of 2000, however it is no match for your 2300 dragon."

The revealed emerald colored dragon roared in pain and shattered as it was destroyed. Alex smiled and continued onward, "Silent Magician will now attack your Red-Eyes B. Dragon!"

The Female Mage struck the Red eyed dragon again and destroyed it dropping Draco another 1100 points, and administering a shock. Draco looked at his life meter which was now dangerously low at 800. Only a few people could get him this low and get away with that and that was Atem, Kaiba, and Krista. All others who got him this low were lucky and ended up losing anyway. But it seemed that the duelist he was facing now was at least on Yugi's level if not higher, at least in dueling prowess. He was starting to regret challenging this duelist. He may not look like the one called Seth he had met two years ago but he had the same source of magic that He had felt before. But now it seemed stronger, Complete even. Draco was knocked out of his thoughts as Alex commanded his remaining knight charge in for an attack on the masked dragon. The small dragon was destroyed which allowed its ability to activate. Draco searched his deck and summoned Armed dragon in DEF mode. Alex said nothing and ended his turn. this activated Horus LV6's ability leveling it up to LV8.

Draco drew his card and smiled, "my armed dragon levels up to LV5. You didn't think you were the only one with LV series cards, well guess what I activate the Spell card Level Up! I can now tribute my LV5 to summon LV7!"

"hold on you forgot I have Horus LV8 on field, normally I would negate your spell card and hold you at Level 5 and make you Level up Armed dragon the natural way, but in your case I will make an exception and allow you to Level up your armed Dragon, however it will do you no good."

"it makes no difference! I have my Armed Dragon LV7 attack your last Knight!"

The blade covered dragon whirled its arms and then unleashed a punch at the Orange clad Knight destroying him and Dropping Alex's Points to 6300. When the shock was administered Alex let a slight moan of pain past his mouth and let the pain flow as he got up.

"I end my turn."

Alex drew his card, "it is time I end this, Silent Magician take out his armed Dragon!"

The mage prepped her attack at let it loose on the Armed Dragon. The dragon cried out as it was stuck with Electricity and destroyed. Draco's points dropped another 700 leaving him at only 100, and knew that it would not stay there long.

"I am sorry Black Dragon, but we are in the underground and I have to show no mercy! Horus, Attack the Black Dragon Directly!"

The Silver colored Dragon Roared and spewed its black flames onto the Blonde haired Duelist. His meter dropped to 0 after the attack and the final shock was administered. Alex shut off his disk and ran over to the Black Dragon. He helped him up and out of the arena. Alex reached under his cloak and took out a small vial.

"Here," Alex whispered, handing Draco the Vial, "it is a recovery elixir I have had stashed away. It is stronger than a pain relief potion and strengthening potion combined. Drink it a wait a few moments. You should have the majority of your strength back. I will get you out of here so we can talk with the Queen of the Underground."

Draco said nothing as he took the vial and drank it. With Alex's support, he limped out of the arena and out of the underground setting and up to the pub above. They got a small booth in an inconspicuous corner out of the way. Alex ordered drinks for the two of them and pulled out his cell phone and texted Krista that he needed to talk with her at the Underground pub. As soon as he closed his phone Draco moaned a bit. Alex decided to check him over for any open wounds.

"I need you to lift your shirt for a moment I need to check you for any open wounds," Alex explained.

"What for?"

"That moan you let out was a moan of pain, which means the elixir I gave you has not kicked in yet. Which means you may have another wound that it is trying to heal before alleviating you of your pain form the match. Take your duel disk off a well."

Draco said nothing but winced slightly as he lifted his shirt and removed his duel disk. When Alex saw his left arm a nearly smacked his forehead. Draco had the Dark mark on his arm. The elixir was made to heal all wounds and scars, and alleviate all pain. It seemed that the Elixir was trying to remove the mark from Draco's arm.

"Damn," Alex muttered.

"What is wrong?" Draco asked.

"Your mark," Alex explained, "the elixir sees your mark as a wound that must be healed and removed. It is trying to remove the mark and is using all of its healing potential on the mark. I am sorry but until it wears off you will have to do without any pain relief."

"What do you mean? Why can't I just take a strengthening potion and pain relief potion?"

"the elixir is ver potent and if mixed with any other magical potion or liquid, or something that was made with anything outside of the normal world it is possible to create a power overload in the consumer, as well as some other nasty side effects. So until the elixir runs its course, which by my calculations, is about an hour, you have to try and not to move and let the elixir to try and do its job. You can put your shirt down now and put your disk back on. A few moments later Krista walked in the door and found the two at their booth. She made her way over to the two and sat down next to Draco.

"what do you want Alex. I was in the middle of starting very pleasant time with Seto and you texted me that you wanted to inform Draco of your secret."

"Wait," said Draco, "you two know each other?"

"You could say that," Alex replied, "I am the spy for the underground. I serve outside of the normal boundaries of the court and know places the court would never dare tread, spare a few of them because of their natures. I am here to watch for the card they fear so much of, "he then turned to Krista, "you should have told me what you were after. I like to be fully informed when I do a job Royal Sorceress."

Krista started to feel offended and her temper got the best of her, "it was my prerogative to keep information that I thought you did not need to know!"

"Even still I would have known what to look for if you had told me what I was looking for!"

"You are not a member of the court! I have not even told the Pharaoh of this. The only three people who know what I am looking for are myself, Seto, and…"

"Pegasus. I went to talk with him after the match between Seto and The white knight. I have a hunch that it won't be too long before we possibly find what we are looking for," he was going to tell her what the identity of the White knight, but thought better of it. Destiny did not reveal the identity of the white knight to her in the first place and he only found out by listening to the Shadows around him.

"I figured you would. After all I sent Venus to talk with you. She gave you the hint you needed to find him and the other who had the most experience. Did you find her?"

"I did and she was in a right state of pain and panic. I was lucky to find her when I did. From what I understand Dreadscythe nearly escaped his entombment. Thankfully I got to her in time and she was able to reseal the tomb."

"Good. The last thing we need is Dreadscythe on the loose. She was a servant to the Orichalcos and lead the Guardians in the last attack of the Orichalcos. I am glad you found Eatos."

"As am I. I rely on her quite a lot. I am glad she was alright and I was able to find her."

"hold on a minute," Draco nearly hollered, finally getting a word in, "what the hell are you talking about? And why are you two acting so chummy? You know this guy cousin?"

"Yes I do. Draco meet Alex Yachira, Former American West coast champion and Spy for the Court for the underground. He has been going around handling certain things since the attack on us in Egyt which brought us into this war. However he used to be two people, Axalis, which used Alex's name in honor of him and Seth, the dark half of Alex's soul who wanted to take over and turn against us."

Draco turned to Alex, "how in the heck were you split into two separate people?"

"long story short I had little control over my powers and Bartimus Crouch Jr. Cursed me and my soul split into two parts, Light and Dark. The light half went into hiding in the Duel monsters spirit World, while the Dark half went to the Shadow realm voluntarily to train his powers on his own. The two fought one final time with the light half winning and making me whole again."

"Okay," Draco replied, still slightly unsure of this man in front of him, "how long ago did Barty Jr. Curse you?"

"Almost 18 years ago."

"And you look this young!?"

"When my soul was split, my body was put in suspended state to protect it. I was 20 when it happened to me and I retained my look and Chronological place in my body. In reality I am almost 40 years old but I look only 20 and feel it. But my experience rivals that of a 50 year old because of what Axalis and Seth went through. It is very complicated and I barely understand it myself and it is only a theory."

"damn," was all draco could say. Alex got up and moved to leave.

"Where are you gonna go now?" Krista asked.

"I am going to stay in London till this crisis has abated and then return to my real task. Tell Severus to expect a visit from me in the near future. I have a few questions I need to ask him. Oh, and Draco."

"What?"

"I would love to meet your Lady Malfoy, she seems to be a lot nicer than her Younger elder brother. I would very much like to meet her."

"How did you…"

"The Shadows know all Black Dragon," Alex called without turning to face him, "besides I will be around here for a while, I might end up meeting her in passing any way. I will leave it at that," and Alex left without another word leaving the two cousins slightly speechless but knowing they could trust this mysterious young man who had been through so much.
