A/N: I am back! And with a Chapter that is all new! Hopefully I can keep the same flow as the previous Chapters. Plus with my Bucky story my writing style is a little different to this, I think anyways. Haha.
Thank you for the reviews! And thank for the follows and alerts!
Disclaimer: I don't own anything but the new plot and OC/s.
Chapter Twenty-Four
So it was Friday. And I was going to Pat's for my late celebration of my birthday tonight. Lisa and Chris were going to be there, along with other people from school. Nothing too big. Apparently Patrick was known for his bon firers, as Lisa told me. He would usually have one every few weeks, sometimes they would be casual and others they would take on a life of their own. Which I kind of hope doesn't happen.
Godric had also informed Sookie of my passing birthday. And she of course took the role to hold a party at her house on Saturday night for me. I told her I didn't want to make a fuss, but the woman wouldn't hear it. Besides Godric, Eric (who she only invited out of curtesy), Jason, Bill (of course), Jessica (whom I haven't met) and Sam, she was inviting other friends of hers that I was looking forward to meeting.
I was looking forward to tonight and tomorrow night. I have had birthday parties in the past but they never felt like they were for me. My cousin and parents would use the social gathering as a time to talk business. When all I wanted was to have fun with friends and feel special for a moment. And that's what I am going to get now, finally.
Currently I was sitting in my fourth period class, which happened to be Mathematics. Lisa was sitting next to me taking notes, just like myself. The teacher was going on and on about solving an equation where you had to find what 'b' is. It made little sense to me. But I was never one for Mathematics, obviously. Like a true art student, I had my sketch book open, under my maths book and just doodling away.
Suddenly a folded piece of paper landed on my page, unfolding it I was met with Lisa's hand writing; That bored you're drawing? What are you drawing?
I looked at her with a smile before sliding my sketchbook over a bit for her to see the rushed cartoon of our teacher yelling 'blah blah blah'. She giggled shaking her head before taking back the piece of paper and began to write something else on the unused side. Then she proceeded to slide to over, making sure the teacher wasn't paying attention to us.
Perfect representation. :P
Now it was my turn to giggle with a nod. Lisa then got out a fresh piece of paper and once more began to write, and then slipped it to me.
Are you looking forward to tonight? I know I am, and so is Pat. That boy loves to throw parties.
I smiled before writing back. Yeah I am looking forward to it! First party I can say I will enjoy.
While she read and wrote her reply I watched the teacher, just to make it less suspicious. Once I felt the paper touch my hand I looked down to read it; Why do you say that?
Without too much thought I replied; my previous parties back home didn't seem like they were my party.
Seriously!? Well we have to change that! Lisa had written, it brought a smile to my face.
We spent the rest of class writing notes to each other. Once class was over it was lunch time, Lisa and I headed to our usual table all the while talking about what we were wearing. I had no clue what to wear, while she had it all planned out. Soon Chris and Pat joined us.
"Eliza are you excited for tonight or are you excited?" Asked Pat with a contagious grin on his face.
I smiled. "Totally am."
He clipped me on the shoulder. "That's the way!" he turned to Chris, "see she's excited!"
"I take it he hasn't been too enthusiastic about tonight?" Lisa asked opening her bottle of water and taking a sip.
"Not one bit" sighed Patrick dramatically. "He never is!"
I laughed softly taking a bite of my sandwich. Can't blame the guy. Chris is more a quiet and keep to himself kind of guy. While Patrick and Lisa were more outgoing. Myself, I would be a bit of both. I enjoy going out and what not, but also need quiet time indoors.
"So are those guys you live with coming tonight?" Lisa asked pulling me back to reality.
"Well…no they aren't" I said trying to think of how to put it all. "Eric has work, and Sebastian feels he might not fit in with everyone."
She raised an eyebrow. "How? Isn't he, like our age?"
"He's almost two years older, but is very mature" I said before sipping my drink. "Sure he has small moments where he says something funny, but most of the time he comes off serious."
Lisa nodded her head and accept what I said. Nothing else was really said, just small talk about classes and what tonight would be like. Patrick was getting random students coming up or passing saying his name or that they couldn't wait for tonight. Pat took it all with a big grin and gave them a thumbs up. This party seemed to make him popular. But I feel it will only be a short reign for him. Lunch eventually ended and I went my last class for the day; Art Class. Chris walked with me, talking about a drawing he has been working on for class. He eventually showed me when we made it to the classroom. It was a nice piece, the guy had talent. The teacher spoke about Cubism but I tuned out and spent my time doodling in my sketch book.
Once school was finished I walked out with Chris, and met up with Lisa and Patrick before saying I would see them later at the party. The drive home was the usual; small talk and occasionally silence. When I made it home I grabbed a bottle of water and an apple before heading to my room. I put the bottle and apple on my bedside table before dumping my bag on my bed and taking off my shoes. Next I changed my jeans for some comfy shorts. I had over three hours till the party so I decided to do some of the homework I had been given in my classes today.
I gave up not even an hour later. Putting away all my stuff I slipped out of my room and went to check on Godric. He was still asleep in his bed. I ran my hand through his short hair and caressed his cheek before leaving him to take a shower. I washed my hair and shaved my legs and under my arms before putting on fresh underwear and a bra, both matched and were a nice lilac color. I threw on my shorts from earlier and a tank top, and went back to my room to dry my hair. Once that was done I put on my music and began to lightly curl my hair. By this time the sun must have gone down, as I was startled when there was a knock at my door.
"Come in" I said letting go of the fresh curl I had made in my hair, and turning to my door.
I smiled when I saw it was Godric who had knocked. Though I knew it would be him, as Eric didn't care to much for such things as knocking. He smiled when seeing me and then a curious look formed on his face as I began to curl another piece of hair.
"What are you doing Fay?" He asked moving to sit upon my bed.
"Curling my hair to then brush out for a loose, wavy look" I replied releasing another fresh curl. "How else do you think I get my hair to look like it does?" I giggled.
Godric didn't look to please about what I said. "I knew that Fay, I have just never seen it been done before."
"Really?" I asked looking at him and he shook his head. "And here I thought you would have. After all I thought with having Isabel or other human companions around you would have seen it being done."
Godric shook his head again. "No, I rarely saw them. And even with the few human companions I have had I never saw them getting ready."
A small bout of jealously hit me before I squashed it down. "Ah okay" I said continuing with my hair.
Once I had finished curling all of my hair I turned off the curling iron and proceeded to combing my fingers threw my hair, making the curls looser without losing them completely. Then I styled it so the part was off to the left and the hair was sweeping over to the right. Once it was right I then finished with hairspray; fixing some spots in place and tiding up the fly away hairs. All the while Godric watched me with interest. Was it really that interesting? I don't think so.
"Done" I said to myself after adding a clip to the left side, holding back a pesky bit of hair that wouldn't sit right.
When I turned to Godric he gave me a small smile. "You look lovely."
I smiled before shaking my head. "I haven't even put on makeup yet." I laughed going to grab my small makeup bag.
"You don't need make up" Godric said truthfully, which made me smile.
"That may be, but I still want to put a little bit on" I replied moving over to the mirror hanging on my wall.
First I put on some light powder, as I had a clear face that doesn't need any liquid foundation. Then I managed a little bit of eyeliner before curling my eyelashes and then applying mascara. To finish off I went with a light pink lip-gloss. Nothing fancy, just simple. Putting away my make-up I turned with Godric with a smile.
"How does it look?" I inquired placing my hand on my hips.
He nodded. "Good, almost like you have no make-up on" he replied with a studying gaze.
"That's what I went for. Plus, if I even attempted what other woman do I would look like a mess" I laughed.
Godric gave me a small, amused smile. After that I set my sights on finding something to wear for tonight. I had told Lisa an idea for an outfit today, but now I felt like changing it. I rummaged through my closet and draws. All the while Godric watched me, small comments were said from time to time. With a successful smile I placed my outfit on my bed, and the matching shoes on the floor next to said bed. Godric took that time to leave the room so I could dress. He said he would be downstairs.
Left to my own devices, I made sure my hair and make-up was still alright. Then I moved on to getting dressed. I chose a pair of light blue flare jeans, and an off shoulder peasant blouse in a coral color. Slipping on my black flats I grab my small bag and slipped down stairs to find Godric, who was in the kitchen. Sneaky Vampire had come down here to make me something to eat, which I had planned to do once I was finished getting ready.
"I was going to make something myself, you know" I said putting my bag on the counter.
"I know, but I thought I could help you save time" he said giving me a smile.
I sighed taking a seat. "Alright, you're off the hook" I said with a small laugh before Godric placed a salad in front of me. "Thank you."
He nodded. "You are welcome" Godric said as he went to clean up the kitchen.
"Are you sure you don't want to come with me?" I asked before putting some tomato in my mouth.
He looked up from whipping down the bench. "I don't think it is wise, nor do I want to 'spoil your fun'. I think that is the right term."
I laughed. "Yes you used it correctly, but you would never spoil my fun" I replied smiling.
Finishing the cleaning Godric stood across from me with a serious expression. "As I have told you it would not be best for me to go to the party due to myself being a Vampire. I want you to have a normal life Fay, and having them know you live with Vampire's may not go down well" Godric stated coming around to me and taking my hands in his. "I want you to have a normal experience; such as school, friends, parties and dating."
I felt my blood run cold at the mentioning of dating. How could I date someone that wasn't him!? They are no one else that could compare to the kind, gentle Vampire before me. I wanted to tell him he was wrong but part of me could not get the words out or else it would be me yelling. So the other part of me bit my tongue. All the while holding back the sadness that I was starting to fell.
Nothing was said after that. I just finished my salad and washed up my things. I then went back to my room to make sure everything was still perfect. Though I didn't feel as excited anymore. Getting a nice slap to your feelings and hope for anything does that to you. I did nothing, other than doodle in my sketchbook, till it was time to leave. Eric had another driver arranged to take me, and Godric came along for the ride. I wish he hadn't though. The ride was quiet and uncomfortable. Upon arriving at Patricks house I practically leapt from the car, with a quick 'bye' I walked up to the house. Pat was out the front welcoming others and pointing them into the house.
"Eliza you're here!" He said happily and giving me a hug. Which I returned, enjoying the comfort. I think he could sense something. "You alright?"
I pulled back with a small smile. "Yeah, I guess."
"You guess!?" He questioned rubbing my back. "Don't worry. I have everything sorted. There is junk food out the back and some special punch out the back" he said with a wink.
I didn't expect alcohol, but should have figured. "Oh, alright" I said a little unsure.
"I also have soda" he smiled.
Nodding my head, I took one last look back to the car I had come in. I could feel Godric's eyes on me. But I decided to shake it off. He told me to have 'normal experience', that was what I was going to do. After all I am a teenager. Teenagers underage drink all the time. It's basically a right one must do at some point in their life. And I was not going to be the exception.
