A/N: I'm tired of delaying this story soo I have challenged myself to write and update all last 3 chapters, including this one, in one day which is today. Yayyyy!

Chapter 25: Tension

Courtney pov

"WHAT?!" Duncan yelled in my ear.

Bad enough this pain was unbearable. I don't want to be deaf too. "Hospital!" I screamed.

It seemed like it took hours to get to the hospital, but it was only minutes. We got to the hospital and they rushed me to the hospital room immediatly. It seemed like they were making the pain only worse.

After hours of contractions, the doctor finally wanted me to push. "Duncan! I'll kill you for doing this to me! You did this!" I screamed.

"It's not entirely my fault." Duncan said while looking over the sheet. When he seen the baby's head, he nearly passed out.

"Sir, are you okay?" The doctor asked Duncan.

"I'm fine." He said taking a huge gulp of air.

After a few more pushes, I heard a piercing scream and all the pain disappeared.

The doctor wrapped my baby in a blanket. "Congratulations. It's a beautiful baby boy." The doctor said as she handed him to me.

He was so beautiful. Teal eyes like Duncan's and a cute smile. "Would you like to hold him Duncan?"

Duncan pov

I picked him up and noticed he looked just like me. His skin was slightly darker than mine and his eyes perfectly resembled mine. "What's his name?"

"I haven't figured that out yet." Courtney said curiously.

How were we going to keep a baby with no name? Then I figured it out. "I think his name should be Daniel."

"Daniel Matthew Masters." Courtney said smiling at him. "Would you like that little Danny?"

At that, Danny smiled and fell asleep in my arms. I places him back in Courtney's arms as she fell asleep also from all the exhaustion.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow." I said as I left that afternoon. Once I got home, I looked at my house and prepared it for Danny.

I moved all of Courtney's things into my room so we can have more space, I put together Danny's crib and had he walls in Danny's new room painted light blue with white clouds. I bought a whole box of diapers and bottles. Pacifiers were to hourly for my son, but I knew Courtney would scream if I didn't buy any so I bought 2.

After all that hard work, I went in my room and fell asleep. I didn't wake up until 12pm. I got ready and drove back to the hospital to see Courtney and Danny.

As I walked in, I seen Courtney sleep once more with Danny. When she heard me walk in though, her eyes immediately shot open. "Duncan." She said, trying to get up.

"Don't hurt yourself princess, you don't want to be in here longer than you should be." I warned her.

She sighed really loud. "I want to go home." She had a big frown on her face.

"Tomorrow, I promise I'll be here to take you home." I said as I kissed her forehead.

I picked up Danny and watched as he opened his eyes and reached for my hands. He grabbed my finger and wrapped his hand around it. I smirked and laughed when Danny copied it.

I stayed there until really late at night. I drove back and went to sleep. The next morning, I finally took Courtney and Danny home like I promised.

"I'm going to go lay down." I said as I went back to my room to get some sleep.

Suddenly, I heard a loud screech. "Oh my gosh! Duncan this room is amazing." Courtney yelled, causing Daniel to cry.

I walked in there and grabbed him. "Thank you princess, but look what you've done." I said motioning to Daniel.

"I'm sorry Danny." Courtney said kissing him. He immediately stopped crying.

"Like I was saying, I'm going to take a nap if you don't mind." I said leaving the room. I went in my room to catch a couple of z's and 10 minutes later, I saw Courtney walk in. "What do you want princess?" I said with my eyes still closed.

"Nothing, I'm tired too and Danny's asleep." She said as she laid down next to me. Within moments she was sound asleep and I followed soon after.

I woke up to the sound of crying late at night. "You gonna get that Courtney." I said as I shook her, but she only turned to the other side.

I decided to get up and check on Danny. I picked him up and Sat down in the chair. I don't know when he stopped crying, but I was relieved when he did. I fell asleep in the chair for the rest of the night.

In the morning, I woke up and made some cereal, careful not to wake up Danny.

"Goodmorning Duncan." Courtney said stretching.

"Goodmorning." I said while walking past Courtney with a bowl of cereal.

"You didn't make me any?" She asked me.

"Make your own." I said really irritated from my lack of sleep.

"What's got you so uptight today?" She asked as she crossed her arms.

"It's funny how I'm the one risking my sleep for Danny." I argued.

"I can care for Danny with my hands tied behind my back." She protested.

"Going to be tough to hold him like that." I said. We both glared at each other as we ate breakfast.

I got dressed and left to work. As soon as I got there, I was even more angry at the substitute Secretary replacing Courtney. She couldn't do anything right. "YOUR FIRED VANESSA!" I yelled at her. Shadow came in the room to escort her out the building.

Once he did, he came back in the room. "Duncan, What happened? You just snapped." He said to me.

"I haven't been getting any sleep since Danny was born." I said as I rubbed my hand through my hair.

"I know, when Amy was first born, I would argue with Jasmine almost every night, but I realized that we needed to work together to raise Amy. That would make it easier for the both of us." Shadow said before he left.

I thought about it for the rest of the day. Maybe we would stop arguing if we worked together.

At the end of the day, I packed up my things and headed home. I walked in and seen diapers everywhere, but it was quiet. I looked over the couch to see Courtney and Danny asleep on the floor together.

I picked up Danny and put him in his crib. Then, I picked up Courtney and carried her to our room.

Danny seemed to tire her out more than I thought. "Courtney" I whispered in her ear.

"What? Is it time to feed Danny?" Courtney looked up at me from where she was laying.

"No." I said as I kissed her. "I love you and I think it'll be easier if we work together when taking care of him." I explained to her.

"I love you and your idea." She said as she smiled and kissed me.
