Act 23
Evil Mercury walked onto the stage where she had seemed to throw Sailor Moon onto. Moon's eyes widen and look to her, carrying her ice sword. Ariel narrates, "The enemy attacked Mulan-chan and brainwashed her, so now Mulan-chan has come after us. But I just can't fight against Mulan-chan!" Sailor Moon's power is released from her brooch. "Belle-chan, Jas-chan, and I believe that when our feelings for Mulan-chan are brought together…"
"Ariel-chan…"
"…we can definitely save her!"
Phillip stone glows in the Dark Kingdom.
When Eric and Hina enter his apartment, they hear a piano playing. "Oh no, has someone broken in?" Hina says alarmed.
"Stay here," Eric says calmly as he holds Hina's shoulders, influencing her to stay outside the apartment. The piano playing continues. Eric closes the door warily and flips on a light. The piano playing becomes stronger as Eric nears its source. He looks into an open room and sees Phillip playing a grand piano in the middle of his living room. Phillip goes on without noticing his presence. Eric then says out loud and startled, "You are…"
Phillip turns his head to Eric, "Master Endymion!" He continues to press the keys as the two men's eyes are locked together.
Intro:
"I'm sure of it, master, it is you!" Phillip says continuing his song. "You are… that time!" Eric remembers Phillip trying to approach him after being shot by Venus' beam, saying "Master… Endymion!" He faded away. Phillipe goes on, "Please remember when you were called by the name 'Endymion'!"
"Me?! Who are you? Do you know me?"
"I do, from a long time ago. Please calm down." Eric glares at him. The piano keeps on playing. Eric watches intensely as Phillip plays as if he is trying to remember.
"Eric! What's wrong?" Hina calls. Eric flips around, and Phillip's music ends. "Can I come in?"
"No! Hold on a minute!" Eric rushes calmly out of the room and closes the entrance to it. He runs up to Hina and grabs her, causing a plastic bag to be let go of and release many oranges among the floor. "Sorry," Hina says looking around at the oranges. She sets down her purse and helps pick them up. As they pick up, Eric suggests, "Let's go outside and drink some coffee."
"That's fine, but what was the music?" "Huh?!" Eric looks back toward the room where Phillip was in.
In the Dark Kingdom, Phillip sits in his room playing his piano - a different tune. Beryl and the other Shitennou hear the playing and seem surprised. "That piano is," Shang says.
The playing goes on and Ursula says, "Phillip has awakened."
"Phillip," John says.
"I suppose it's because of the power of Queen Metaria has grown," Ursula says. "The day of revival draws near." Ursula turns her attention to Beast, "Good work on gathering such great amounts of energy!"
"Yes, I will gather more energy for my Lady Ursula."
She nods then turns to Shang. "I want to see why you're worth keeping around."
Shang seems shocked that she would say that, but then bows, "Yes, ma'am. The Phantom Silver Crystal… Please give me more time!"
Ursula glares at him. Beast snickers, "I don't think the problem is time." Shang grimaces and John smiles while squinting an eye. Shang glares at Beast.
Elsewhere, in another cave of the kingdom, Shang complains, "I never would have thought Beast would take Phillip's side…"
He sees Evil Mercury around a corner. "If you want to be on Phillip's side, I'll consider talking with you."
"Shut up! Who would want to get Phillip's help?!"
"Well, work hard! But don't battle with the Sailor Soldiers because are my target." She smiles and walks off. "Impudent bitch," Shang mutters as Mercury walks off.
In the super secret karaoke room, Melody says, "If we cooperate, we can save Mulan-chan. When Sailor Moon's powers shone, the real Mulan-chan appeared for just a moment."
Ariel remembers seeing Mulan under the Evil Mercury form, "Ariel-chan…"
"If our power were to become bigger," Melody says.
Belle cuts in, "Because of that, we have to awaken as real soldiers like Ariel did."
"Exactly!" Melody says. "The power of you soldiers can become much stronger!"
Jasmine nods. Belle does, too and then remembers Venus saying, "Please remember your real soldier powers."
"How?" Belle thinks. She then starts walking up the steps to the shrine. Once on the shrine grounds, she sees a mother and her daughter and she smiles. The walk toward each other, "Good afternoon," Belle says. She bends over to the young girl, "Ah, Nana-chan, you've left the hospital!"
Her mother says, "Yes! She is fine!"
"Ah! I'm glad!"
"Aurora Aino came by the hospital and sang a song!"
"Huh?" Belle then thinks, "Aurora Aino was…"
Belle stomps up to the neighborhood hospital this show seems to like to take place in a lot. Belle hears "C'est La Vie" playing somewhere. She goes to where it's coming from. She looks into a window and sees her singing for many young children. She finishes and everyone claps. The two soldiers' eyes meet each other. Aurora regains her smile and is swarmed by the children. "Could I have your autograph?" this ADORABLE little girl in pink asks Aurora. She bends down and signs a magazine she has her face on. Belle enters the room.
"Here! Hurry up and get well soon!"
"Thank you!" The children line up and wait for a signing.
Belle watches with cute, kind of sad background music playing. THEN, another cute little girl comes up to Belle and says, "Excuse me, may I have your signature?"
"Huh? Oh, Aurora Aino is over there…"
The older woman with the girl says, "Um, I heard you were another talent who is joining the same record as Aurora. Your name is Mars Bella, isn't it?"
"Huh?"
"Aurora-chan told me!"
"EH?!" Aurora looks over at Belle mischievously. Belle looks at her angrily.
Children with signatures leave and the woman who was talking to Belle wished Aurora good luck and Aurora says, "Bye-bye!"
Belle and Aurora come up to each other. "What's going on here? I am talent?" Belle says.
"You promised me that you wouldn't follow me any more."
"I heard you came to this hospital every month, and I thought something was wrong with you."
"Just to encourage the sick kids and a physical checkup."
"Every month?"
"Just to take care of my health. Anyway, I didn't think Sailor Moon would awaken before you." Belle is surprised. "I thought you would be first," Aurora continues.
"Do you mean to say I'm supposed to be the leader, but I'm too woeful?"
"Guess so. The spiritual problem is a big one in awakening the soldiers, but I think there's something lacking in you."
Aurora begins to walk off, but someone shouts, "Excuse me!"
A nurse runs up to Belle holding three kids' hands, "Aurora told me that you would be singing a song or two this afternoon for the children!" Belle looks at Aurora in shock, but Aurora turns her head smiling. "All the children are very happy, right?" the nurse says. The children say, "Right!" The nurse nods to Belle who pulls Aurora aside rather forcefully.
"Hold it, what did you say?" Belle whispers.
"This is your punishment." Belle glares at Aurora.
"Excuse me!" the nurse calls again. "What do you need for the performance?" she says right behind the girls.
"Ah… Um, but I'm not famous!" Belle says smiling nervously and waving her hands.
"Oh, that's okay! We don't care, right?"
"Right!" Mars looks at the nurse nervously. "The children staying here don't usually enjoy their stay, so it would be good for them. We'll be waiting for you later on today! Let's go, kids," the nurse says as she rushes the children off.
Belle looks at Aurora. She is clearly PO'ed - positively outraged. Aurora steps forward with an evil smile, "A leader's power requires you soldiers to be cooperating."
"I don't want to get help from my partners for this afternoon."
"Well, I have my examination to get to. Good luck, Miss Mars Bella." Belle looks at her with rage and begins to run after her, but stops herself. She flings her arm down, slapping her leg in anger, biting her lip.
In the secret karaoke room, Belle slams a couple of karaoke books down onto the table, "I can do this." She turns her head suddenly to the karaoke set-up on the stage, "An opening performance is easy." Belle picks up the microphone, examining it. She hits the power button and lights appear on the set. Belle presses buttons in a hurried manner. "C'est La Vie" then blasts out of the speakers, causing her to fall of the stage with a yelp. Belle drags herself up, balancing herself on a shelf with a speaker on it. When the microphone and speaker came too close, a blaring sound burst out, causing Belle to fall with a yelp again. "I will not lose!" Belle crawls back up onto the stage and turns the volume up. We don't think she meant to because she then falls again. Yes, she yelped and her foot went flying into the air…
Back at the hospital, Aurora comes out of a CAT scan machine. A nurse helps her sit up and walks to the other side of the room. Aurora turns to Urchin, "I bullied her too much."
"You are…" Aurora looks away and a nurse comes up.
"Miss Aino, we'll get an IV ready."
"Okay." The nurse walks into another room where two doctors are examining the turnouts of the CAT scan. "I'm sure she only has six more months to live."
"Will you tell her about it?"
"Yes." Aurora turns her body to Urchin, but before she can get down, her head begins to hurt again.
"Oh, Aurora!" Urchin says, worried.
Aurora looks around, "I'm okay…"
Eric unlocks the door to his apartment, and goes to turn the handle, but it stops abruptly. He looks at the door and turns the handle again. This time he was able to get in. He enters cautiously, looking down the hall, which lead to where Phillip was. He slowly enters his living room. No Phillip. Eric sets down a book and flat package on his table and sits at his couch. He leans back. Phillip begins to play a softer tune in his Dark Kingdom lair, "Please remember that you were once called Endymion."
"He was the one called Phillip… I definitely know him!" Eric leans forward and folds his hands, "Endymion was my old name." Phillip looks to his right as if it were to Eric. Eric stands. "But," Eric says, "if I know my past, what happened?" Ariel drops her pen from her writing at her desk. Phillip's music continues. Ariel looks up. Eric picks up his passport. "I have decided." The sound of an airplane taking off ends Phillip piano playing.
Ariel stops looking forward and returns to her homework as if she had decided something. Her cell phone goes off. She gets up and reaches for her bag, "Hi, hi!" She answers, "Hello?"
In the secret karaoke room, Belle is on the other end, sitting on the ground, leaning against the red couch with heart pillows. "Ariel! Ah, um, how are you?"
"Huh? I'm fine… What's wrong?"
"I need your help."
"My help?"
"Yeah."
Ariel takes the phone from her ear and looks at it funny. Ariel goes running into Crown. She pulls out her pass and shows it to Abu. She runs off excitedly. She pops into the secret room, screaming, "Belle-chan!" Belle gets up from her spot on the floor. "Sorry to keep you waiting!" Ariel sets down her bag and pulls out some karaoke books, "I'm surprised you have a singing performance to do! We'll use these!" Ariel sets down a set of CDs and Luna crawls out from somewhere, giggling. "You've never shown your abilities!"
"It's nothing. I don't want to, but I will anyway."
Ariel smiles widely, then says, "Let's make a good performance!" Belle smiles uneasily.
In the Dark Kingdom, Shang sets a crystal down onto a rock on the floor. "Show yourself, youma!" Shang holds up his hand and a light blue energy glows from it. He holds it down to the rock and it begins to glow.
Back in the hospital, the nurse fidgets with Aurora's IV. Aurora lies in bed, seeming to be very weak. Urchin crawls on top of her, "Aurora…" Aurora shuts her eyes all the way.
In the secret karaoke room, Belle is singing to a song. Her body is stiff, and she has an uneasy, angry facial expression. Ariel and Melody watch. They nod their head in approval. Belle finishes the song with an easier face. Ariel leans her head to one side, thinking. "Not good?" Belle asks.
"That ways good," Ariel says, "but your face… looks scary." Belle smiles forcefully and nods as if to say, "ah, crap…" and she steps off stage. She sets the microphone down on the table and Ariel gets up, "Belle-chan, you really don't want to do this, do you?"
"No. I'm disappointed in myself."
"That's just because you don't have enough experience."
"No, I mean I'm disappointed in myself because I asked for your help." Ariel looks down thoughtfully and Belle walks behind her, "My soldier powers will not awaken so long as I'm woeful like this."
"Belle-chan…"
"Ah! It's time to get going!" Meldoy says.
"Ah?! Really?!" Ariel says. "Belle-chan, let's get going!" Ariel picks up all of her stuff in a rush as Belle watches calmly.
"Belle-chan," Melody says. Belle then becomes nervous.
At the hospital, Ariel walks up happily while Belle follows stiffly. Children gather in the room Belle will perform in. In the next room, Belle and Ariel look at an outfit in Belle's cell phone. Ariel smiles widely and Belle looks at her uneasily. "That one is fine!"
"Yeah, yeah!" Melody reassures. Belle nods. Ariel and Melody look into the room next door, "Ah! Amazing!" Melody says as more people keep on gathering. Ariel smiles and turns back to Belle. Belle nods and quickly presses the button to change into the outfit. "Ahh!" Melody says excitedly. "There we go!"
"You're so cute! Good, good!" Ariel says giving Belle the thumbs up. Belle nods again as the music begins to play in the next room.
Everyone is clapping and waiting for her. Belle looks at them anxiously. She nods to herself and starts to head into that room, but Ariel stops her, "Belle-chan…" Belle turns to her. "I'm glad you called me, Belle-chan, for my help even if you didn't want it. I thought that you had trusted me just a little bit."
"Trust?"
Ariel smiles, "When we depend on somebody, we have to trust them." Belle looks at her in a bit of shock. Ariel gets behind Belle, smiling and holds her shoulders, "Good luck!" She then pushes Belle out into the other room.
"Go! Go!" Melody says.
Everyone claps as Belle enters and gets onto the stage. "Something is lacking in you as a leader," Belle remembers Aurora telling her. "The thing that was lacking in me," Belle thinks. Belle begins to sing. Her 'scary' face is still on, just a bit. Her legs are spread a bit and she holds her hand to her stomach. She becomes a bit more comfortable as she continues singing. Ariel watches with a big smile.
An evil energy runs down a hall of the hospital growling. "Ah! There's a youma coming!" Melody says.
"Huh?" Ariel says. She then looks to Belle who looks back at her, knowing of the youma's presence as well. Ariel begins to gesture and mouth, "I will go so you can follow later!" Belle looks at her not understanding. "Please sing one song for them!" Belle looks at her, just singing. Ariel nods and runs off. Belle continues to sing more powerfully. A pregnant woman in the audience rubs her tummy and hugs her daughter-like figure.
The youma walks speedily down a hall in the hospital and Urchin feels it, "Aurora!"
She jumps out of bed, "Venus Power! Make-up!" Venus pops out of a door, running from the youma. She pauses and fires her beam at it. It breaks the beam and Venus looks at it disappointed.
"Princess!" Melody calls from Ariel's bag as she runs up a flight of stairs toward the youma.
Ariel looks at Venus and then Venus looks at the youma. "Moon Prism Power! Make-up!" The youma jumps down some stairs and Venus and Moon follow. They run out into a more open space, which is surprisingly deserted. The youma stops and Venus poses. Moon mirrors her. Venus cartwheels by and Moon goes to kick the youma. The youma turns around and Venus does a couple of spinning kicks. Moon grabs its back and kicks over her her head to kick it. The youma stumbles away past a spinning Venus. The two Sailors mirror pose and nod to each other. They cartwheel toward the youma and pose again. Venus does her signature jump over the youma and land opposite of the other Sailor. Venus blows on her hand shape and moon does a similar pose.
The youma looks at the two worriedly. "Venus Love Me Chain!"
"Moon Twilight Flash!" The youma explodes into a green mess. Venus and Moon bring their hands down from their attacks and notice that there is a green goop holding their feet down. "What is this?!" Moon says.
"Princess!" Urchin shouts.
"Sailor Moon!" Melody shouts. Moon tries to get her feet unstuck, but then Melody gasps and Moon looks over to see Shang smiling evilly. Venus looks over and gasps. Moon struggles some more and Shang smiles evilly.
"You fell for my trap, Sailor Soldiers," Shang says. He walks past Sailor Moon and heads for Venus, "For you, how much do I…!"
"Princess!" Urchin shouts. Moon continues to struggle. Shang holds his hand out to Venus.
Suddenly, a blast of fire stops him. Sailor Mars is on the other side of the room blasting him. Mars then flips over him and the other two Sailors look at her. "Belle-chan!" Moon shouts.
She nods and as a helicopter's blades begin to turn, she says, "The soldier of flames and passion, Sailor Mars! In the name of the planet Mars, I'll punish you!"
"Are you still alive?!" Shang says, walking away from Venus. The two stare each other down. Mars then poses and Shang flips his cape. Venus winces and Moon gasps. Shang concentrates blue lightning energy as he growls. Mars just smiles and twists her hands cutely. Mars passes one arm out through the air, creating an arc of fire. She passes the other arm out which creates another arc of fire. Mars then holds her arms down and brings them up as she turns, concentrating more fire.
Red energy enters the brooch on her front bow and she holds a ball of fire in her hands. " Yōma taisan!"
"Sailor Mars!" Melody says. Venus gasps as does Moon. The attack breaks through Shang's and causes him to explode. Mars holds her pose in an area of warmth.
Sailor Moon notices her feet are free, and she and Venus run up to Mars. "Belle-chan, I knew you'd come!"
"Mars, your soldier powers have awakened!" Melody says next to Urchin.
"Soldier's powers?"
"Yes. You've found the thing you were lacking," Venus says.
Mars looks to Moon who is smiling. Mars remembers Ariel saying, "When we depend on somebody, we have to trust them. Good luck!"
Mars then thinks, "Trust my partners…"
"But that's not everything. You need to remember much more," Venus says.
"You can do it, "Urchin says. The girls look at him. Venus walks up to the kitties and takes Urchin and walks off.
"Princess!" Mars says hopelessly.
"Belle-chan, you did it! When Jas-chan awakens, we can save Mulan-chan!" Moon says.
Mars nods, "Right!"
"Well, let's go do some karaoke!"
"I hate karaoke."
"Huh? But you just sang a song!"
"That was a one-time thing!" Mars says arrogantly, but cutely and walks off.
"Ah! Belle-chan!" Moon runs after her.
In the Dark Kingdom, Shang struggles to walk down a cave. He collapses. Evil Mercury walks up to and surprises him. "Don't look at me!" Shang says.
Mercury smirks, "Poor thing…" She then walks off. Nephrite gets up and suddenly has a saw of some evil sort. He follows Evil Mercury with it and yells as she turns around just in time to see him thrust it at her. The moon cycle surrounds a shadow of what happens on the wall.
