Hey readers! Sorry it's been so long since I've updated. I'll be able to write more and give you more of what I hope is awesomeness. I will probably rewrite the story because I found inconsistencies and I don't like those. But for now, I will focus on finishing the stories. Ladies and gentlement, boys and girls of all ages, I give you chapter 25! I own none of the characters here.

Kagome found herself back in the well. When she saw the roof over the well, she curled up and cried. She cried for her lost love, feeling like she would never see him again. She cried for her lost friends – she would never know if Sango and Miroku got together and had children, or if Inuyasha found love again. She would never have children of her own with Koga, who was the only one she wanted, which meant she would never have children of her own. She was a wolf now, through marriage, which meant she mated for life.

When she finally got herself together, her head hurt. Her mouth was dry and she was tired. She pulled herself up the ladder and shuffled inside the house.

"Mom? Gramps? Souta? I'm home," She called. Her mom was in the kitchen.

"Kagome? Hey, welcome back!" Her mom looked at her and stopped. "Oh, honey, what's the matter?"

She hugged her mom and cried again. She couldn't speak at all, she just cried on her mother's shoulder hugging her for dear life. Her mom just held her without saying a word.

When she finally calmed down, her mom went to making tea while Kagome sat at the kitchen table. Kagome just tried to breathe.

"Mom, I lost him. I lost Koga, and… and Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku, Shippou… I lost everyone. We finished the jewel, I wished on it. I ended up back here. I knew it would happen, but it hurts. It just hurts so much. I love Koga, mom! I love him!" Kagome started sobbing again. "What do I do, mom?"

"Kagome, when I lost your dad, I asked myself the same question. Two kids, by myself. What was I supposed to do? I didn't have a choice but to keep going with my life. I've never had another since him, and I went on as best I could. Give yourself a few days to grieve, look yourself in the eyes and say you can do this, and do it." She said. "That's the best you can do."

Kagome looked at her tea. She felt it warm her hands and she nodded, tearing up again.

"Kagome?"

"Yeah mom?"

"What is that on your chest?"

Kagome stood up as fast as she could and ran to the bathroom to look in the mirror. There she saw the mating mark. Koga was alive! Kagome squealed and ran out to hug her mom again.

"He's alive! Koga is alive! I bet he's waiting for me right now! I have to find him! Oh, god, this is amazing! Oh, god, oh god oh god, I have never been happier in my life!" Kagome was crying again, but because he was happy. She ran to the computer and began searching. She found nothing.

Frustrated, she pushed away from the computer. She was tired, but she was happy. She had her chance, she just needed to figure it out. She decided she'd go to bed and rest up before figuring out what to do. She almost crawled up the stairs, fell on her bed and there was nothing else.

She woke up with a dry mouth and pounding head. She wanted water, and she wanted it now. She went downstairs and froze. There was a man sitting in the kitchen with his mom. He looked at her and his eyes went wide.

"Kagome," he said.

"Do I know you?" she asked.

"Uh, yeah. Yeah, Inuyasha. You should have just come from Edo after the Jewel, right?" Kagome shook her head.

"Uh, how… how long have I been out?" Kagome asked.

"Two days. I was getting worried," Her mom answered. "Inuyasha has been here since yesterday."

"Oh, wow. Inuyasha, it's good to see you again," she said. "How have you been over the last 500 years?"

"Good. I've been married, but I never mated. I couldn't, since I lost you to… to him," Inuyasha looked grumpy. Kagome smiled a small smile. He still loved her after all these years. "I learned from Koga. I… I'm sorry for how I treated you."

"Inuyasha, I forgive you. I do. I will always forgive you," Kagome said. She had actually forgiven him. She would always forgive him, just like she said. He looked relieved.

"I've had a long time to think about what I did. I was stupid then. I'm better now," Inuyasha looked at her, then down to her chest. She refused to feel self-conscious about her mark. She was proud of her relationship with Koga.

"He's still alive. The mark. That's how I know. We lost contact after you were sucked into the well. He was destroyed. He came around all the time for years after you were gone. Years. We have never spoken. We haven't even seen each other for… I don't know, probably two hundred years. I've missed you. I… I know he does too." Inuyasha looked down at his hands.

Kagome smiled. She didn't know what to say. She knew he wouldn't have mated at all in the last 500 years since her disappearance. He had to know she was alive. His mark wouldn't have disappeared from his wrist.

"I need to know how to find him," Kagome said.

"I work for the police department. I'll look into it and get back to you as soon as I find something. I'll do this for you." Inuyasha said. He seemed sincere. Kagome thanked him about the time her stomach rumbled.

"Hey, how about I take you to dinner? Catch up a little?" Inuyasha said.

"Ha, sure. What do you have in mind?"

They laughed and had a great time. She never knew he could be so… relaxed. Turns out there were secret societies housing demons underground after they were judged and killed. There were special pieces of jewelry made to hide them as humans. It was how Inuyasha made it in the police department. She wondered how Koga looked now. Did he still love her? She put the thought out of her head and focused on Inuyasha.

"How many times have you been married?" Kagome asked casually.

"Four. Most died of natural causes. Old age, mostly. The last one divorced me. She felt it was weird that I was after an ex," he said. "I've been waiting around your house waiting for you to come back. I heard you crying when you came back. I figured it was better to give you a couple days since it's recent for you."

Well that was thoughtful of him. She was surprised about his changes. Yesterday he was an arrogant, childish boy. Now she saw a mature half human being. She was proud that he grew up. He matured. It was good to see Inuyasha again.

"Um, so, I was wondering about Sango and Miroku. How did their lives go?" She asked.

"They had great lives. They lived long lives. Had 9 children together. They all survived and had long lives, got married, had kids of their own, and it kept going. I still watch over the family." Inuyasha smiled. "They are great people. Great line of family."

When Inuyasha dropped Kagome off at her house, he walked her to her door. He touched her mark. A gross chill went through her spine. She didn't like that he touched her mark. She didn't like the feeling it gave her. But, a huge thrill went through her body.

"What…?" Kagome was on top of the world.
