Okay this is a little bit shorter than the others.
Lia was nervous while she travelled on one of Gerrels private shuttle. She checked her Omni tool over and over again, hoping to get some new information about her father's health status. The shuttle pilot was a young Quarian boy. A member of Gerrels newly deployed division. The lifeguards. He was wearing the division uniform. His enviro suit was black with red strips going on vertically while on the middle of his torso were to wide white strip crossing the red ones. The visor was deep blue, his eye dots were the only thing that Lia could see.
Nobody has said a word during the trip.
The shuttle finally arrived at its destination Munich. As the shuttle doors opened Lia had started to panic. There was no one there to great her.
Something must be really bad if no one has arrived... I have send them a message about my arrival...Do I?
She checked her Omni tools message section and spotted that she had forgot to send the message to her mother. Realizing this she managed to make a very loud "Bosh'tet" on the airport.
The shuttle pilot had noticed that something is wrong with Lia, and went to help her.
"Is there a problem Ma'am?" He asked in a formal way.
"No...not really...well I have forgot to send a message to my mother that I have arrived...so I guess I have to take a cab..." She sounded embarrassed.
"I could give you a ride to the hospital if you don't mind?" He offered.
"Thank you... but you have to return home! Am I right?"
"Well Grand Admiral Gerrel gave me this day for resting, so there is nothing for me to do today."
"Then please could you bring me to the hospital where dad is...uhmm...?"
"Lenn... Lenn'Kaddi vas Iktomi at your service Ma'am."
At her office Xen was waiting for the representative from the Admiralty staff. The message she received stated that the other Admiral will arrive at her office by noon local time. She wasn't a found about the idea of the meeting at noon, because this was one of the few times when she had time for herself.
Her secretary an Asari stepped into the office.
"Councillor Xen, a Quarian is waiting in the lobby. He says he has a meeting with you. Should I let him in?" She asked.
"Yes let him in!"
The secretary nodded and left the room letting the male Quarian to enter the office.
"Please take a seat!" Xen gestured the arriving admiral.
"Thank you, councillor." He nodded and takes a seat in front of Daro.
"So what is this important plane you wish to discuss with me?"
"First allow me to introduce myself. My name is Natla'Nael vas Engma."
"A pleasure to meet you Nael..." Said Xen without any emotion.
"So to the point of me being here... Well you have already know that we are at war with another race..."
"Yes...It is part being a councillor to be informed..." Xen replied sarcastic.
"Well yes..uhm...so the problem is that Han'Gerrel... since he taken all power refuse to ask for help. He acts like all this war is some kind of fantasy..." He stopped looking at Xen.
"And Admiral? It seems that since Klendatu we are winning... every major battle..."
"Yes, but there is something that we are mostly aware of..."
"And that might be?"
"Well...with all due respect... Grand Admiral Gerrel seems like to speak with himself time to time..."
"Well that is interesting...So what do you want from me?"
"We the Admirals have agreed that Han'Gerrel must have taken away from holding any power. We wanted to ask your help with this... since the staff has agreed that neither of us is capable to rule properly. We would like to ask you to take the position as Grand Admiral during the war..."
"You know that Gerrel has a lot of follower and many officers are loyal to him?" Xen was sceptical.
"Yes we know, but if you take his position we will show the public that Gerrel is insane and he is a danger to all of us."
"Well this sounds risky, but I agree to help you for one thing..."
"And what is it councillor?" Nael was suspicious.
"Well... I will help you with your coup if...you will let me make AI experiments without being bothered."
"Well... I... cannot decide that we would agree with that, but I will ask the others about that..." Nael was shocked about Xens term.
"Of course... just don't take it long...you know I could easily call Gerrel and tell him about our little discussion."
"You can't prove it!" Nael was really nervous.
"Oh...Can I?" Said Xen after that she laughed at him.
"I...I...should go to speak with the others..."
"Yes you should...Oh and I need your answer let's see... in three days..."
"Okay...in three day... hope we are doing the right thing..."
"Yes you will Good bye Nael!" Xen said with a smirk.
The Admiral left the room and Xen was there all alone. She was smiling. Smiling with one of the biggest smile she ever had.
On Earth Lenn and Lia had finally arrived at the hospital where Shepard was held. At the entrance she had noticed Ashley and James there so walked to them.
"Hey there little sparks! We thought you will send us a message or something..." James greeted her.
"Well yes...I have totally forgot about that... Hi there Ash!"
"Hi there Lia! How is the war going?" She tried to change the subject.
"Pretty good...it seems we are winning..."
"Little sparks, why don't you introduce us to your friend here?" Said James pointing at Lenn.
"Oh sorry...He is my shuttle pilot Lenn... Lenn'Kaddi vas Iktomi."
"A pleasure to meet you Lenn." Said James and shocked his hand.
"Yes you to, and you to Ma'am."
"Yes Lenn... nice uniform by the way." Ashley noticed it.
"Thank you Ma'am... I am a very proud member of the Grand Admirals Lifeguard!" He said with so much pride.
"And what is the news about Father?" Lia finally managed to ask.
There was silence for a minute.
"Miranda has just arrived here not too long ago. According to her theory one or more of Shepards cybernetic implants has stopped working..." Ashley finally broke the silence.
"That bad? Is he going to be alright?" Lia asked with sadness in her voice.
"We don't know that for sure little sparks... It depends on when they find the ones that stopped functioning and if they can replace them." James briefed Lia.
"Only God knows!" Ashley interrupted him.
Lia was shocked about the news she had received. Lenn has noticed that and put his hand on her shoulder.
"Thank you!" Lia looked at his visor while she said that with some relief.
"If it doesn't bother you Ma'am I will stay here for a few days. Maybe I can help with something." Lenn suggested.
"That would be great Lenn... but what about returning home on time?"
"Don't worry Ma'am! I will tell them there was a malfunction with the shuttle and needed some repairs...I could handle this, don't worry!"
"Thank you then, it is most kind of you!" She said smiling under her visor.
