Hello my lovelies, how has school been? I'm not sure if any of you are in school but hopefully it was alright. Anyway, I bring to you the next chapter, hope ya'll enjoy!

"Wow! So that's what you've been doing?!" Jamie exclaimed.

It was the October 30th and Jack had dropped by to visit Jamie and his friends and was telling them about the Keepers. "Hey Jamie, you think Sophie is gonna be upset that Ester Bunny is taken?" Claude teased.

"She's Two!"

Jack laughed at the two. "So Jack tell us, what are they like?" Pippa asked, the others nodding. "Well, they're like those college kids that love down Cupcake's street. Jackson like the big brother that constantly pulls pranks on you, Dianna is the sister that becomes a bit of a mom but scarier." Jackson shuddered a little.

"Shiro is like a little sister, even though she's older an me, that seems innocent until you walk in on her preforming some candle lit ritual. And then Vahness is the older sister that teases you and gives advice on things you are all too young for." He explained. "Sounds like my cousins." Monty said.

The kids all laughed. "So what are you all doing for tomorrow?" Jacks asked. "We're still thinking about that, Cupcake suggested a party." Jamie told. "Hey, do you know if Jackson is gonna throw a Halloween party?" Claleb asked. "I don't really know. The four of them have been really busy that I've never asked."

"Then ask, we'd love to come!" Monty said. "Hey aren't you suppose to be other there now?" Cupcake pointed out. "Not till sun down." Jack replied. "They're in Romania, that's about seven house ahead, it's past 7:30 pm over there."

"I see you guys later then! Wind take me away!" Jack shouted, the kids waving at him as he flew off.

"How do you think tonight is going to go?" Vahness asked, setting a basked of bread on the living room table. "Based on all the events, especially back in June, I can say we need to be on guard." Jackson replied. "At least it is only for one night, the other two nights are smooth." Shiro added on.

Jackson walked to the window, where he could see the garden. "It's almost sundown, the guardians should be coming soon. I'm going to do a final round with Henry." The Halloween spirit said, leaving the room.

"I don't like it when he's worried like this. It's just like that time back when the war started." Vahness said. "I know what you mean. Jack-kun just has a lot on his mind, it's just because of the events. He'll be back to normal after tonight." Shiro assured.

Dianna walked into the room, pushing a cart of food. "Is Kosmotis still down in the basement? It's getting late, I thought he was going to set up the protection at the other spirit portals." She said. "He's been pondering over that gunk that was all over my wings and Shiro's kimono during that attack." Vahness said.

"I'll take the food to him, I wanna know what it was." Vahness said, a container of food that Dianna had prepared. "Hurry back."

Together, Dianna and Shiro finished setting up. "Shiro, can I ask you something?" Dianna said.

.

.

"You haven't said that to me in centuries. What's wrong?"

"I'm worried, very worried. For all of us, like what if this whole event, what if this turns into another Spirit war?! We barely made it alive, and now look at how things are." Dianna stated, the frustration in her voice.

"Our actions ended the war, it saved many." Shiro pointed out. "Yes and the majority of spirits despise us! Manny ordered us to cover the truth, everyone involved believes we're to blame." The Lady of the Dead sighed. "If this, leading up to something similar..."

" We could all die..I understand. But I don't think a war is on the horizon, at least not a Spirit one." Shiro assured. " I think this is more directed at us, more specifically Jack-kun." The Asian love spirit, pulled her hair down. "During the last attack, that spirit, I heard it say, 'Big Brother'. But Jack-kun is an only child."

"I asked him about it, but he didn't remember anything." Dianna bit her lip. "That just worried me more. I know how much the three of us mean to him. We are of course...not that he knows we know." She said, forcing a chuckle. "Yeah. Lets talk about this another time, we have guest and work tonight."

"You're just excited cause you get to spend time with your Conejito." Dianna teased.

"Shut up!"

"OI! GUESS WHO'S HERE! SHIRO I BROUGHT YOUR LONG EARED MAN!

"So, Explain to us...how we will help with tonight?" North asked through a mouth full of food. "Swallow your food man." Bunny said.

Jackson set down his fork and wiped his mouth. "Well, the five of you are basically our back up. The true entrance that spirits come through is set in another dimension, that the four of us will enter. You guys have to protect or bodies from any spirits that got through from causing any damage."

"Protect your bodies?" Jack asked, rising an eyebrow. "In order to enter the dimension with the Gate, the four of us enter a meditation like state at first then slowly leave our bodies. If anything happens to our bodies, it'll be worse than any spiritual damage we could sustain." Vahness continued on.

"But don't worry, there are protections that we've set up all around the area. We have candles, that we'll light, a salt circle, and if it gets too dangerous the house has the strongest protection." Dianna added on.

"Anything else there is to know?" Toothiana asked. "We've said before, never to enter the forest. Tonight it's more important to follow our advice." Shiro advised. " The Ie Ie , a group of spirits that help protect the forest in Romania, have offered to help us but they could still be dangerous."

"Also," Jackson picked up after Shiro. "Kosmotis has told us that voices that sound like us will echo the shadows. So don't be fooled. If attacked by something tonight, well..you'd be lucky of to turn into something like Kosmotis."

The guardians, except Jack who didn't know, all looked serious; recalling the tale of how Pitch became who he was. "Any how, this is just for one night. The following two nights we allow passage for spirits." The Halloween spirit added on. "Right, your holidays are together." Toothiana said, looking to Jackson and Dianna.

"Mine is immediately after his and it's two day's long." Dianna spoke up. "The first day is dedicated to the spirits of children and the second to everyone else." Jackson smiled and removed his head, setting it on the side. "Originally Halloween, or Samhain, was the same. It still celebrated but the whole 'Devil's Night' stuff over shadows it." He sighed.

"Life use to be so much simpler, then kids started getting into cults and/or being more foolish and trying to summon beings on their own." Vahness groaned. "Honestly, why do humans not understand the concept of 'DON'T MESS WITH FORCES BEYOND YOUR CONTROL'? Is that really so hard!"

For the next thirty minutes, the Keepers went on a rant about people messing with Ouija boards, to rituals, to urban legends, to just about everything else that makes tonight more trouble some than it use to be. "Wow, I hope Jamie and his friends don't get into that." Jack thought aloud, the others nodded.

The chime of the clock cut thought the room, signaling that it was now 10pm. "We have to begin preparations." Jackson announced. "I'll handle the dishes. Ladies, I moved the supplies to the carriage." He said, before looking to his guest. "The five of you can just relax here, you'll need all your strength for tonight."

The Keepers departed, Shiro giving Bunny a quick scratch behind the ear and Vahness brushing a hand through Sandy's hair.

"What should we do now?" Toothiana asked, looking around at her friends. "We could pester the Kangaroo about his love life." Jack suggested.

"Oi!"

"I'm kidding...We'll bug Sandy instead."

It was a little over an hour till any of their host reappeared and it was only to inform them that their weapons are needed. The next time they appeared was thirty minutes later. The four of them had changed, and bathe by the look of their hair, in to white clothes. Dianna, Shiro, and Vahness had on dresses, while Jackson wore a tunic but with a pair of trousers.

"Sorry for leaving you guys alone, lots of preparation to get done. But it's almost midnight, come on let's all go out to the garden." Jackson announced, his group handed the Guardians their weapons before leading the way out.

Outside, there was an evident eerie feeling of being watched, the guardians glanced every now and then to the trees. Vahness let out a whistle and Hermes flew to her shoulder. "Ready for a fight, baby?" She said, giving her bird nuzzle. At last they reached the Torii gate, there Dianna and Shiro met up with their pets, and set up the that done, the four turned to face the Guardians.

"Well it's almost time, the four of us will be in the gazebo for the next 3 hours. Just like the first night, we just need to make it past 3 am." Jackson said, holding up an hour glass. "You five are to stay out here, and not let anything that get's through us reach our bodies."

"Your weapons have been temporary enhanced to better you in combat, but do be careful." Dianna said. Shiro pulled out several bits of paper. "Here, these are sutras and they will help make sure that nothing possesses you. It's unlikely that there will be any demonic like spirit that will get through, but better safe."

"And if all goes wrong and it's still not pass three, abandon us and seek shelter in the house." Vahness concluded. "Abandon you? You got to be crazy, Sheila." Bunny stated. "We will stay and fight." North spoke up.

"No!" The Keepers all stated,

"If anything happens to us, nothing will really change. There are more than one reaper, memory collector, and two love spirits. With or with out us, love and death go on. But you five, are irreplaceable." Jackson explained, the girls nodding in agreement. "The first hour and thirty minutes it should be quiet. Nick, I'm in trusting this to you."

Jackson handed North the hour glass. "It will be your timer, at midnight please start it. There is salt in it instead of sand, so if a situation like V said occurs, break it and get away." He reminded. "We'll see you guys in the morning,be safe. Good night." And with that the pre-battle conversation ended.

The Keepers crossed the bridge, settling down on the floor in a circle. From the Guardians point of view, the four were now just sitting motionless, eyes closed and heads bowed. Silence surrounded the area, no one daring to speak. After a few minutes, the Guardians felt a wave of energy, that emanated from the gazebo, wash over them.

"It's midnight. The battle has begun."

Well what do you think? The next chapter will actually have the battle, plus I think it's time Jack made his choice. leave a review and I'll have the next chapter out as soon as i can! Adieu my Lovelies~
