Chapter 25: This Is A Nightmare

Paige's POV-
It was late night, me and Caleb was in our suits sneaking into a chemical lab that was owned by A, knowing that we both knew it couldn't be good.
We were both in the ventilation shaft where we had entered to get inside unseen since we didn't know exactly what to expect.
"Ok guys I've taped into the security cameras. There are four guards with firearms, two by the front door, one of the fire exits to the right and another one just below you." Spencer said over the Comm link.
"Thank you Oracle" I whispered in the Comm link.
Oracle is what me and Caleb called her when we were on patrol mostly because we couldn't use her first name since it would reveal who she was when we were fighting villains.
After I had told Spencer everything about me, Caleb, Ezra and A. I asked if she wanted to help me and Caleb by being by the computers in the bat cave giving us command, when me and Caleb was on the field. It had been a great choice since Spencer was a really perfect choice for that position since she was incredibly smart and she had it very easy to adapt to the gears. I had in the bat cave.
Caleb and I jumped out of the ventilation and I landed on the first armed villain right under us while Caleb throws one of his beatings towards the armed villain by the fire exit, it hit him in his right hand making him drop his gun to the floor.
Then we both threw batrangs to the last two armed henchmen so they lost their rifles when the batrangs hit their hands leaving cuts on their hands.
The workers started to run all over the place trying to escape, not sure if it was from me and Robin or if they were kidnapped by A's henchmen.
I ran up to the first henchman, grabbed him by his collar and punched him hard into his face burying my fist deep into it. I punched him a few more times to make sure he was unconscious.
Robin ran up to the next of the villains, He swung his staff hitting the henchman behind his knees making him fall to the ground. As he lay down on his back, Robin jumped into the air and landed with his knees on the henchmen chest knocking the air out of him. Robin than hit the henchman right on top of his head with the staff effectively knocking him out.
Then we both ran up towards the other two henchmen to knock them out fast. We both jumped into the air and glide kicked them. The force from our kicks made both henchmen losing their balance and hit the back of their heads against the hard wall and they got knocked out.
"Oracle, we have just secured the lab and were about to search for... whatever A is trying to create." I said over the Comm link.
"That's good. Try to check the desk drawers they can have secret compartments." Oracle answered over the Comm link.
All the workers had escaped the laboratory so Robin and I started searching through the lab without getting bothered. As we opened the desk drawers we also checked for any secret compartments, that we found. There was a small test tube with a thick liquid inside that I picked up and started to scan.
"Oracle, I've just sent a scanned sample of some sort of serum, can you analyze it?" I asked over the Comm link.
"Got it, starting to analyze now. Batgirl this serum is T-9 serum, but it is a more concentrated mix so will give a better result. The serum will make muscle growth more permanently without any side effects, you have to make sure this doesn't get to A that will make an army of titans running around the streets." Oracle said over the Comm link sounding worried.
"Hey Batgirl. Look here, they have already made an entire tanker full with this serum." Robin said holding a clipboard pointing to the part where it said that the first delivery of the complete serum was going to get delivered tonight.
"Good thing we stopped it." I said as I thought of what would happen if A got the serum.
"Yeah you can say that again." Robin said.
"Oracle can you check the surveillance cameras? Try to find a parked..." I said over the Comm link but cut myself off when I heard the sound of a truck engine starting.
"ORACLE, A TANKER FULL WITH THE SERUM IS HEADING TO A, I NEED YOU TO FIND THAT TANKER NOW." I yelled over the Comm link running to the stealth bike and jumping on it.
I started the bike and drove towards one of the exits.
"Batgirl the tanker drove out of the southern exit and is heading towards the bridge." I heard Oracle say over the Comm link.
"I'm on it, Call the police and make them shut that lab down I'm going to make sure that the truck won't reach A." I said to Oracle over the Comm link as I make a U turn so I can find the tanker.
I drove towards where the tanker was heading in hope to stop it. After a lot of sharp turns I finally found the tanker, I was behind it is lining up to fire the stealth bikes weapons.
I programed the stealth bike computer to prepare to fire the rockets. I wanted to make sure that the truck wouldn't be any trouble for me or anyone else.
As the computer locked on their target I heard Oracle over the Comm link. "Batgirl don't shoot the tanker! The T-9 serum is highly explosive, the explosion will take out a whole block!"
Damn, this just got a lot harder. I had to take out the driver without injuring the tanker and I had to act fast so A wouldn't change his or her mind and her the driver blow up the tanker.
"Oracle I've got a plan. When I drive up next to the tanker take control over the stealth bike from the computer." I said over the Comm link.
"What are you going to do?" Oracle asked.
"Stop that tanker." I answered very determined.
I kept chasing the tanker staying out of its sight because if the driver saw me he would panic and possibly crash the tanker resulting in the deaths of several people, good thing that I had activated stealth mode so I was almost invisible for the eye.
I stayed behind the tanker until we reached the bridge, which was when I pulled up next to the drivers side and told Oracle to control the stealth bike from the computer. As she did, I let go of the Motorcycles handle and stood up balancing on the seat.
"Move me closer to the side." I said over the Comm link and the stealth bike moved up next to the tanker, and that's when I jumped off the bike gripping the tanker car door handle on the drivers side.
I pulled myself up and opened the door. The driver panicked and started to kick towards me as I tried to enter the truck.
I grabbed his right foot and threw him out of the tanker, but he had activated the cruise control so the tanker was still going.
I got inside and hit the break making the tanker slow down, it stopped just in the matter of time because who knew what would happened if A got hold to this stuff.
I told Oracle to control the stealth bike so it would return to the bat cave as I drove the tanker back to the lab where the police could confiscate it.
I returned to the bat cave finding Caleb staring irritated at me.
"Thank you for waiting, so I didn't have to walk all the way back, Oh wait. You didn't." Caleb said.
"Give me a break Caleb, I had to stop a truck that was highly explosive from detonating." I said not knowing that in three days I had to do something much worse.
Emily's POV-
The next morning at school
I was sitting in class behind Paige having a hard time not staring at her from behind. All I could see of her was her neck, but still it was a cute neck.
"Mrs. Fields your attention please." I jump in my seat as I heard the teacher say that, now I'm blushing so much that I'm starting to look like a tomato.
I went through the rest of the class making my best trying to focus, but I spent my absolute best to look at Paige. I guess I can't help it she is just too hard not to look at.
Once the class finally ended I walked up to Paige as we both walked into the hallway.
"So how about that class?" She says giving me flirting looks.
"Shut up." I say and playfully shoves her.
We continue walking and then Hanna showed up excited.
"So guys how about going dress shopping for the dance, Emily you, me, Spencer and Aria will go tomorrow after school and Paige I'll take you with me on Saturday so you two won't see the dresses that you've bought for yourselves until the dance." Hanna say overjoyed by her idea.
"Why does Paige get the Saturday?" I asked
"Because I need more time to find her style and see what goes with it and that could take a while." Hanna says.
"Well actually I'm just going to buy my clothes online..." Paige says before Hanna cuts her off.
"ONLINE?! Online?! No Paige this is a big deal not a boring business meeting, this is a dance. You need to wear something good looking so that's why you're going shopping with me." Hanna says sounding aggressive.
"Calm down Hanna." I said to calm Hanna "Paige is not that much into shopping as we are." I defended my girlfriend from Hanzilla.
"How can a girl didn't like shopping?" Hanna asked.
"Well Aria likes art but you're not into that." I said proving my point.
"Yeah but shopping is so much more fun while art class is... Hi Aria, Spencer we were just talking about going dress shopping tomorrow, Excited?" Hanna says as she notices Aria and Spencer walking towards us.
"Sure it'll be fun." Aria answered.
"Yes that sounds great." Spencer said smiling.
"See Paige that's how you react when someone suggests that you go shopping." Hanna says turning to Paige right after she got the answer from Aria and Spencer.
"Sorry I'm just not that much into shopping." Paige says and shrugs.
"Ok how about this, we play rock, paper, scissors for it, if you win you can go online and buy whatever you want, but if I win you'll have to go with me to a store and pick out your dress." Hanna says to Paige.
"And I'll come with you to make Hanna stop joking around and have her focus." Spencer said.
"Fine by me." Paige says.
Hanna squealed and stuck her hand out. "Ready?" She stuck her hand out, making a fist and Paige did the same
"Rock, Paper, Scissors!" They said in unison, both laying out their choice at the same time. Paige went with scissors. As she saw Hanna's fist she frowned. Rock Paige had lost. Hanna slammed her fist lightly down on her hand and jumped with excitement.
It wasn't surprising that Hanna didn't know what winning gracefully was. "I knew I would win! I knew it!" She squealed. "I knew I would beat you! You fell victim!" She cheered at her easy win and started to dance on the spot. "I'll see you on Saturday, loser!"
Paige did remain a good sport however, knowing it was a fair game and she'd lost. Well one of them has to have some grace. "How did you exactly know you were going to win against me?" Paige asked.
She burst out in a fit of giggles and I even heard a few laughs from Aria and Spencer. "Ha! It was easy really." She stated. "Lesbians always pick Scissors." She said and all three of them exploding in a fit of laughter.
"Laugh it up you guys" I said as I wrapped my arm around Paige as the girls still laughed.
"Hi, what's so funny?" We heard Caleb say and as we turn around and see him with Toby standing by us.
"Paige lost a bet so on Saturday she'll have to go to the mall with Hanna and Spencer." I explained to the boys.
"Tough break Paige." Toby said as he patted her shoulder.
"Hey guys we should do something fun tonight." Hanna says, suddenly she has stopped laughing.
"What did you have in mind babe?" Caleb asked as he walked up next to Hanna wrapping his arm around her."
"Well there is this place at the woods called The Hungry Owl Tavern I'd like to see what that place is about." Hanna said.
"Hanna are you suggesting that we drive to a bar in the forest just because you've heard of that place once?" Spencer said.
"Come on guys a place like that must have some food too and besides don't you all say that you would like to try something different for a change?" Hanna said and we had no choice other than to agree with her.
"Great I'll text you guys the address later" Hanna said and she walked to her class.
That night at the hungry owl tavern
So we had all arrived were Hanna had suggested that we would go to, the place was very rustic.
We walked inside and saw Hanna and Caleb sitting by a table so we joined them.
"Nice place you've picked Hanna." Spencer said sarcastically.
"Ok, I'll admit it I thought it would be cozy when I saw the pictures online." Hanna said raising her arms in defense.
We ordered our food from one of the waiters and as we ate Aria noticed a karaoke stage.
"Hey Paige how about you preform another show for us." Caleb said and nudged Paige as Hanna left the table.
"No way, that last time was the last time." Paige said firmly.
Suddenly Hanna returned with two wireless microphones in her hand that she held to Paige and me.
"What? Hanna I'm not going to sing!" Paige almost shouted to Hanna.
Hanna turned around to the other people in the bar and said "Hey everyone! Who wants to see this girl (Pointing to me) and her girlfriend (Pointing to Paige) singing a love duet?" Everyone in the bar start to cheer and applause as Hanna finished her sentence.
"Well that's over 20 persons that votes for you two singing." Hanna said with a smirk.
Paige sighed "Give me the damn mic" she said and Hanna gave it to her and I took my mic and followed Paige to the stage.
We stood next to each other and the music started playing, this was going to be fun.
It starts well, almost interesting

Everyone in the bar is standing up, cheering and applauding us. After we take a bow I kiss Paige's cheek, this moment was totally worth the drive to this place.
Paige's POV-
Saturday at the mall
"I refuse to wear this!" I say as I hold the dress Hanna has handed me.
"Come on Paige it's so you, the colors goes perfect with your skin." Hanna says as she shoves me towards the dressing room.
"I don't care, I don't like it." I said and Hanna took the dress and walked to find some other humiliating piece of clothing for me to wear.
She ran back and handed me something and then she disappeared again.
I turned to Spencer holding what Hanna had handed me. "What is this? It looks like a wallet dipped in the T-9 serum" I said to Spencer.
"It's a purse you have your Id, money, lipstick and other things in it." Spencer explained to me.
Hanna returned with another dress. "Here try this one on." She said and pushed me into the dressing room.
I changed into the dress and walked out feeling ridiculous.
This was a nightmare I almost wished that I had to go on a Batgirl suicide mission or anything else than this.
"Smile Paige." Hanna said doing some funny faces that didn't gave her any results.
"I feel ridiculous." I said looking down to see the dress.
"Ok I'll just find something else." Hanna said and ran to find more dresses. My god were does she get all this energy from?
"Here I think this will fit you like a glove" Hanna says as she walks up to me with a really small, yellow dress.
"Hanna I'd rather go naked than wearing that." I said nodding towards the dress. Will this nightmare end?
Spencer walked up to Hanna and whispered something in her ear.
"Spencer are you serious?" Hanna said, staring at Spencer.
"Come on Hanna, you keep saying that you can style everyone see this as a challenge." Spencer said and winked at me.
"So Paige go back to the dressing room and change out of that dress and I'll come back with something that might suit you better" Hanna said and then she disappeared again.
I walked back to the dressing room and took of the ridiculous dress. Once I was done Hanna walked in and handed me a black suite with a white shirt. I tried it on and it was perfect and so thought Spencer and Hanna to.
"Paige you look great, Emily won't be able to keep her hands off you. See Spence I can make anyone look good." Hanna said as I walked around in the suite.
Yes I'll wear this to the dance I though as I imagined dancing with Emily all night long.
