Zach's POV
"Well, I won't give up on us even if the skies get rough. I'm giving you all my love. I'm still looking up, and when you're needing your space to do some navigating I'll be here patiently waiting To see what you find. 'Cause even the stars they burn. Some even fall to the earth, we've got a lot to learn God knows we're worth it. No, I won't give up" Cammie sang and all I wanted in that moment was to hold her and tell her that everything was going to be alright.
Cammie's POV
For the next week or so I had the same routine. I would get up in the morning get dressed go to school. Then after school I would go to the hospital to see Zach and then at 10 or 11 PM I would go home take a shower and go to bed.
"Cammie you need to stop its not healthy" My mom told me when I walked in the front door at 10:30 on a school night after school and then visiting Zach.
"What's not healthy?" I asked as I put my stuff down on the floor.
"What you're doing, you have barely eaten, you don't sleep as much and you never smile or laugh anymore. I know it has been hard on you but why don't you have a sleepover with the girls, they can even come over to our house on a school night." My moms says and I give her a small smile and a hug.
"Okay. Can they come over tomorrow?" I asked and my mom nodded her head. Today was tuesday so they would spend the night Wednesday. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and texted the girls that there is a sleepover at my house after school tomorrow. They all replied that they could come. I went upstairs and took a shower and then I put my hair in braids and went to bed.
My eyes fluttered open as I heard birds chirping. I rubbed my eyes as I got out of bed. I put on a pair of jeans, plain shirt and a cardigan.
"Cammie! Someone is here to see you!" Mom shouted from downstairs. I quickly put on my shoes, grabbed my phone and headed downstairs. I walked into the kitchen and Mrs. Goode was sitting at our bar.
"Goodmorning Cammie" She said smiling.
"Morning Mrs. Goode" I said and she glared at me "I mean Catherine" I finished and she smiled at me.
"So I came here this morning because I was vacuuming Zach's room and found this and a not on top saying 'Give to Cammie on the 17' and today is eighteenth. It must have been a little reminder for him" Catherine said rambling on as she gave me the little box. I gave Catherine a tight hug.
"Thanks so much, i'm going to open this in my room if you don't mind" I said and she smiled at me understandingly. I ran up to my room and sat on the bed. The note was still on the box definitely in Zach's messy handwriting. I opened the box and sitting there folded up was another piece of paper. I opened the piece of paper and all it said was 'Today is the seventeenth and that means our 3 month anniversary! I just wanted to remind you that I love you forever and always. -Z' I smiled. Under the note was a gorgeous heart shaped necklace that was encrusted with diamonds and engraved in small handwriting on the back that said 'Forever and Always Z+C'. Tears came to my eyes this probably costed a ton and it is so thoughtful. I quickly put the necklace on and went downstairs.
"You ready to go Camster?" Grant asked and I nodded my head, we hopped in the car and we were off to school again. Once we got in the school everyone gave me looks of pity and small smiles like they have everyday since the accident, it kind of just gets annoying after a while.
"Hey guys" I greeted everyone, who were hanging by the lockers.
"Hey Cam, hey Grant" They all greeted us back.
"Oh my gosh! So Cam, I am so excited for the sleepover tomorrow night. We can do makeovers and watch chick flicks and everything." Macey gushed and I smiled, I was ready for a girls night. The girls split from the boys so we were kinda in two separate circles. We talked all about the sleepover and how Macey is going to bring a ton of makeup, Bex will bring all the junk food and Liz will bring the chick flicks. The day went on boring as usual. After the final bell rang I said bye to the gang and took the car to the hospital.(Don't worry Grant got a ride from Jonas, I wouldn't just leave him at school stranded) The receptionist knew me so she just smiled at me as I walked towards the elevators making my way towards Zach's room.
As I got there he was in the same position looking so peaceful. I sat in the chair next to his bed like always and just talked. I talked about the sleepover tomorrow, how prom is on Friday, how nothing is the same without him ect. After a couple hours I got my backpack out to do my homework.
"You are going to be so behind on your homework" I said chuckling quietly, while I started my homework. After about 30 more minutes I finished my homework and put everything in my backpack. I took Zach's hand, I wish he would just open his gorgeous green eyes.
When I got home there was lasagna, salad and some bread sitting on the counter. I helped myself and started eating not realizing how hungry I was. I went upstairs put on pajamas and read a book till I was dozing off.
