p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; background-color: #fffffa;""Anywhere." Ryuu fumbled with her watch. The most recent nightmare fresh in her mind. A week of them. At least this one didn't include Sven or her sisters being killed. Those ones made her physically ill./p

p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; background-color: #fffffa;""I'm sorry." She clicked the button and a portal opened. "I can't stay." She pulled away from him. "I'm going to a world where the sea can keep me safe." And then she dove through. THe familiar jolt of motion was ended by the cool splash of water. That alone calmed Ryuu and she sighed contently, letting herself just float./p

Much better. She didn't move for probably an hour and then she looked up. There was an island not far. So she swam, well mostly. Her powers gave her an extra push./p

The warm sand felt nice but it was also annoying because she was covered in water and it stuck. Though a quick dip fixed that, at least everywhere except her feet. Squeeze drying her hair Ryuu headed inland. She noticed a few people watching her but she ignored them. Her stomach growled and she sniffed the water had really fixed her nerves./p

In a snap decision Ryuu was running from him. She didn't want to deal with the law. The problem was she didn't want to use her powers either. If she did she would draw attention to herself and she was trying to stay low. But she was used to chases, being a military dog back in her home world she knew what to do. Taking a deep breath Ryuu crouched and then sprang up the wall./p

It had plenty of hand holds. A moment later though she felt a searing pain in her shoulder. She almost lost her grip./p
