Chapter 25
Elven Death Dealer
I reached Moria by nightfall. I did not fear the dark, at least not anymore. I entered Moria with my bow ready. The bridge was out! There was no way for me to cross. I knelt down on the edge of the bridge and saw a mark. Something told me it had come from Gandalf's staff. I took a deep breath and jumped off the edge of the bridge.
Legolas' POV
I woke up shouting Elena's name. Alejandro woke up and Aragorn came running, the dwarf did as well.
"What happened?"
I looked at Alejandro.
"Elena she….she jumped off the edge of the bridge of Khazad-dum."
Aragorn seemed worried and so did Alejandro.
"Why on earth would a smart lass like her do something like that?"
Everyone was silent.
"I don't think she went to Mirkwood."
"I cannot believe she would jump off a bridge!" I said.
"She wouldn't….unless there was water under her."
I thought for a minute. Elena was smart enough to know not to jump off a bridge. In my heart I knew she was alive, and I knew she would hold true to her promise and come back to me. Her brother looked a little scared. I put my hand on his shoulder.
"She will come back to us. She made a promise and if there is one thing I know about Elena, she holds her honor high. She loves you so much and she would never just leave you."
He smiled at me.
"Gracias….hermano."
I gave him a confused look.
"Thank you brother."
I smiled and nodded.
Elena's POV
As I fell I called the water up. It caught me and I stood as it let me down. I swam to shore and found Gandalf's hat! I wandered through the tunnels until I found the way out. I found myself on a snowy mountain with the ruins of an old tower. This was not what made me scream, it was the body of a large skeletal like creature. I fired an arrow at it, but nothing happened.
"I suppose it would be safe to say it is dead."
I walked forward and examined the body. There were stab wounds on it's chest.
"Gandalf." I whispered.
It had to be. I could not find any tracks. I sighed in frustration and tried to figure out where I was. I took out the map but it was of no use to me. I sighed and sat down on a boulder.
"I should never have left Legolas. Gandalf was alive, I had what I wanted, now I wanted something else. I wanted Legolas.
"~I am coming for you my love.~"
They had been traveling down the Anduin river. I went back into Moria and had the water take me up. I ran out of that place and found the river. I knew they could not have gone far, and when it came to water, I could travel faster than others.
Legolas' POV
We came to the falls of Rauros that day. I saw no sign of Gollum, but I knew he was still out there somewhere. I was looking through the trees, I saw statues and crumbling buildings in the distance.
"We cross the lake at nightfall, hide the boats and continue on foot. We approach Mordor from the north."
"Oh yes? Just a simple matter of finding our way through Emyn Muil? An impassable labyrinth of razor sharp rocks, and after that, it gets even better! Fistering, stinking marsh lands far as the eye can see." said Gimli.
"That is our road." Aragorn replied.
"Sounds fun. Who wants to go into the rocks first?" Alejandro joked.
"I suggest you take some rest and recover your strength Master Dwarf."
"Recover my….."
I turned to Aragorn.
"We should leave now."
"No. Orcs patrol the eastern shore, and Elena could rejoin us today. We must wait for cover of darkness."
"It is not the eastern shore that worries me. A shadow and a threat has been growing in my mind. Something draws near, and it is not my wife. I can feel it."
Merry dropped some firewood.
"Where is Frodo?"
I looked around and so did everyone else. Not only was Frodo gone, but Boromir was as well.
Elena's POV
When I reached the camp everyone was gone. I had a bad feeling, so I ran off into the woods to find them. I heard shouting and then I saw Boromir attacking the air. I ran forward as fast as I could and grabbed him.
"¿Qué demonios estás haciendo Boromir?" (What the hell are you doing Boromir?)
His eyes widened. He looked me up and down and seemed to be undressing me with his eyes.
"Elena?"
I threw him down.
"Why were you attacking thin air?"
"It was not thin air, it was Frodo. I….I tried to take the ring from him."
My eyes widened in anger.
"What did I tell you!? I told you before not to and you let that ring control your mind! I thought you were stronger than that Boromir son of Denathor." I shouted.
"M-Maria?!"
I turned and faced my brother. I rushed forward and hugged him.
"Alejandro you are safe…..where are Legolas and the others?"
"We all came out here looking for this idiot. Frodo disappeared and then he was gone too and we all came out here. You go on and find Legolas, I'm gonna have a chat with this one."
I nodded and ran off.
"LEGOLAS!?"
I called his name until I found him. I smiled and ran full speed into his arms. He wrapped his arms tightly around me and his lips connected with mine in a hungry kiss. When we separated he looked me up and down.
"You are not hurt are you?"
"No. I am perfectly fine, but I do want to know…"
I stepped back and twirled.
"What do you think?"
His eyes roamed my body and I felt hot under his gaze. He came forward and grabbed my hips.
"~I think I want to slowly peel those cloths from your body and take you right here.~" he growled.
I smiled and looked around.
"~No one is here.~"
He seemed confused.
"~You want me to take you on the forest floor?~"
"~Oh yes I do.~"
He smashed his lips to mine and started to push off my coat but we heard shouts. I ran towards the sound drawing both my swords. Monstrous creatures that looked like orcs, but I knew orcs had no love of daylight and these creatures did not seem too bothered by it. I ran forward and fought as many as I could. On of them grabbed my hair and yanked.
"Son of a bitch!"
I shoved a knife into its stomach and then knocked it down.
"No touching the hair!"
I ran off to find my brother. I called out his name but I could not find him. I did run into Frodo. He had a look on his face that worried me.
"You are leaving."
He nodded. I knelt down in front of him and put my hands on his shoulders.
"I know I cannot stop you and I know you must do this alone. But always remember this Frodo Baggins, whenever you need me, I will come. Look for the water and call my name and I will appear. I will always be there."
I hugged that hobbit and he hugged me right back.
"Be safe, be strong."
"I will. Look out for the others, especially Merry and Pippin. I asked you uncle to look out for Sam. I hope we meet again someday."
I smiled and kissed his forehead.
"We will. I promise. But now you must run! May the Valar protect you Frodo, you brave hobbit. Now fly!"
He ran off and I turned and faced several of the creatures.
"What have we here?"
I narrowed my eyes and stood ready to fight.
"I am your death dealer!" I snarled.
They laughed and then charged forward. I drew my dual blades and jumped as high as I could.
Legolas' POV
They seemed to be everywhere, an endless tide! We had been fighting a long time when I heard a horn call.
"The horn of Gondor!" I said.
"Boromir!" Aragorn said as he ran past.
I became separated from Aragorn as we ran to get to Boromir.
Elena's POV
I was running to the sound of the horn call but I was too late. Boromir was on his knees with three arrows in his chest. I aimed to shoot the creature that was about to shoot him again, but my uncle rammed into it. While he fought it, I ran to Boromir.
"Hold on Boromir!"
