Alec was starting to get worried. Why would Jamie be in medical care? When did they take?... Did they hurt her? He had to grit his teeth so he didn't yell and give away his position. He was absolutely fed up with Tess, but more than that he was pissed. And now, as far as he was concerned, there was nothing that was going to stop Alec from putting a bullet through Tess's head. With great hurry he ran back outside the room and looked around to the two guards. Immediately throwing caution to the wind he went over and picked up the one that was still conscious. The other was probably dead from blood loss. Alec held the man tightly by his tie.. "Where is she!? Tell me now?!" He practically screamed in his face and knew he had to calm down to find Jamie. So he closed his eyes for a moment and breathed deeply. After he was sure the anger had died down so he could become at least rational he opened his eyes. He looked back and saw the man was scared and had flinched and closed his eyes. Alec sighed with renewed calm and began again, "just please, tell me where Jamie is."
"U-uh I-I don't know, all I was supposed to do is guard the door until they came back!" He said almost looking as if he was trying to hide inside his suit.
"They?"
"Y-yeah, Tess and Jamie." He responded. When he said this Alec felt his anger surge once more but he quickly-though he knew it was wrong-bottled it up.
"Where did he go?" Alec said holding the man tighter and lifting him slightly farther up.
"I don't know," he began "but I think t-they went to..to"
"Well spit it out." Alec said as the man was trying his patience. Though the man seemed to be calming down he seemed afraid to tell him where they went.
"The interrogation room." He responded barely above a whisper. Immediately Alec dropped the man and ran and without a word, there was no time to lose. For some reason he wasn't shocked one bit. But still the sense of impending doom that seemed to have surrounded him was threatening to swallow him whole so he sprinted faster hoping he still had time to reach her. His only defense from the death and inevitable darkness that lay ahead was the thought that Jamie was in trouble.
He ran with purpose and soon found himself in front of an elevator. Luckily this wasn't the same elevator shaft and this one had stairs next to it. Learning from last time he took the stairs. When he burst through the doors, quickly, he looked towards the stair cases headed down. He immediately set forward and bounded down the steps two at a time remembering that the interrogation room was on the tenth floor. And if he recalled right he was on the thirteenth floor. When he finally swung to a stop and arrived he double checked to make sure he hadn't skipped a floor in his hurry. The number was clearly stated in red paint on the far left hand corner. Wasting no time he threw himself through the door. It smashed against the wall with a loud crash earning him a couple frightened glances.
Everything was in disarray; papers were strewn across the floor and there were agents that were scrambling to pick them up. But mostly everyone was just trying to get everything together. There was also a blaring siren like sound that Alec guessed was because of him. He paid them no heed as they did the same. Springing into action he charged into the large scrambler and tried getting to the "interrogation" sector. He passed by offices and dodged many scared and unkempt people, but he still pressed on through the chaos. When he finally made it there all was significantly more calm than the other offices a couple of yards away. There was a familiar metal door at the end of the hall. He slowly walked towards the door, to him something didn't seem right. When he reached it he looked down the halls that branched left and right to make sure no one was coming. Then with zero hesitation he threw open the door ran in.
Quickly he looked through every rooms window one by one. When finally at the second to the last room he saw her, but he definitely didn't want to see her like this..
Jamie, twenty minutes earlier.
When Jamie wrapped the blanket around the mans neck he quickly threw her over his shoulders. She yelped in surprise but her cry barely left her throat as the wind left her lungs when she landed painfully on her back. Jamie tried to get air back in to her lungs but only ended up gasping and rolling over on the floor. The man soon walked up to her, bent down, and grabbed her arm hauling her to her feet; her head was swirling as he practically dragged her out the door.
When she finally managed to get a look at her captor she saw, with great dismay, that it was Tess. She stumbled as they stepped into an elevator and Tess reached out and jabbed the number ten on the board with his pointer finger. When they arrived at the tenth floor her headache from the fall died down to a dull throb, but she wasn't able to do much as she was roughly pulled by her arm. She started trying to pull away but was harshly yanked once more to which she whimpered slightly. Not soon after a metal door came into view and she wondered if she was going to be shifted into a different room...
Notes~
Well, long time no...posts? Anyway I'm sure your all pretty disappointed that I haven't been posting in a while? Well just a month ago I lost my internet. Yes, completely. The only reason I was able to get this chapter in is that I am posting at a McDonalds. Hopefully I'll find more places with internet I can use. I shouldn't be without internet too long but until then I'm not going to be able to post or be on the site much. :/ Read & Review, until next time
