Chapter Twenty Two- The Girl That Never Grew Up

The moment building. Feeling every bit of herself slowly breaking as her breathing got heavier by the minute, Blair looked over to see the condescending smile that Ivy wore. Not surprised by the sudden union of Jack and Ivy, Blair couldn't exactly say she was caught off guard by the two of them teaming up. Wanting nothing more than to strike the blonde with any heavy object that came close, Blair was once again brought back to the reality of the situation, which was that the truth had come abruptly. Turning her attention back towards Dan's pleading eyes, Blair took a deep breath as she just focused in on him for those few moments. Taking a deep breath, Blair knew this all came down to her.

"Is this true?" Dan asked her point blank as Blair was finally given her opportunity to give her truth, but on a stage she didn't intend to do so on. The silence was again beginning to build.

"Dan…." Blair began to say

"You should really be proud of your girl" Ivy said as she stepped closer towards the couple as Blair was caught off guard by the sudden change in demeanor "I mean it's not every day that your girlfriend is able to pull of such a huge acquisition" she said

"Acquisition?" Dan asked

"As in the resurrection of Waldorf Inc" Jack said as Dan still looked confused "Wow, she's really left you in the dark as all the rest of us. Dan, your girlfriend has managed to get her mother's company back. The announcement just broke not too long ago, but still, I marvel at her accomplishments" he said as he began to clap for Blair

"Like mother, like daughter is a true sentiment. I know we haven't exactly been on the best of terms, but I'm happy for you both" Ivy told them "Last night has only proven that time is precious and we can't waste it over petty things. I was truly worried about you Danny, I mean I've known you since you were a kid….if something would've happened to you again…."she began to say as got emotional looking on at Dan while Blair looked skeptical

"But nothing did" Blair stated

"Which is a good thing. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I miss you guys as friends, I miss you Danny" Ivy said

"….I miss you too" Dan said a bit taken aback by her confession

"Enough with all the mushy talk. When should I expect to attend a party?" Jack asked

"I don't think a party is the best thing at this time. I just got finished worrying about if my boyfriend was dead or alive" Blair replied

"Oh, I think you have much more to worry about than that" Jack smiled on at her, letting Blair know that he knew more than what he let on

"Blair. Dan" Serena said as was caught off guard to see the group before they turned to look at her

"Serena, you look dashing as ever" Jack smiled on at Serena

"And you're still the perv" Serena quickly replied as she walked up to hug Blair as tight as she could "Why didn't you call me? I had to hear from my mom. How are you? Are you okay?" she asked as she let go

"Yeah, I'm fine. Dan got the brunt of the injuries" Blair said

"But I'm good, just a minor migraine" Dan replied

"Is that good for your condition?" Ivy quickly asked

"I don't have a condition and yes, I'm fine" Dan replied

"Well, there you go. Good news. Blair, I look forward to the extravagant party on your behalf" Jack said as he braced Ivy's shoulders "We should leave the three musketeers to themselves, which means you can take this cab while I call for another" he said as Ivy nodded

"Again, I'm glad that you're okay" Ivy smiled on at Dan as he smiled on at her before Ivy looked over at Blair "We should do coffee Monday, get caught up on some things" she suggested

"I have meetings Monday" Blair quickly replied

"It won't take long, just a simple catch up" Ivy said putting Blair on the spot

"Sure. We can meet up before work" Blair reluctantly replied before Ivy smiled on at her then turned to get in to the car. Not wasting in time, Jack quickly walked off to hail a taxi while the group looked on skeptically

"What was that about?" Serena asked as Blair just shook her head

"I just discovered that my girlfriend, has apparently been lying to me" Dan said as Blair was surprised by his words "She's acquired Waldorf Inc" he said as a smile quickly broke "Blair that's great" he said as he hugged Blair

"B, that's great" Serena smiled as she clapped excitedly

"I know things have been a bit crazy but you should've told me. This is great news. I assume this is another fashion company or something?" Dan asked as he let go of his embrace of Blair

"Waldorf is fashion and beyond" Serena smiled

"Yeah, I think that was the last thing on my mind in revealing with all that was going on. Dan, we should really get you home. You need medicine because that migraine is only going to persist, then we need to call your primary doctor…." Blair began to say before Dan quickly leaned in to kiss her to prevent her from talking

"Waldorf, you talk too much" Dan said after he broke the kiss before he smiled on at her "Let's celebrate!" he declared

"No" Blair replied

"B, you really should. This big of an accomplishment, you should celebrate. Jack's advice, it can actually be applicable in this situation. A party is definitely a good thing in these times and for your family" Serena said

"Okay, I will throw a stupid party just as long as you agree to just go home and take your meds" Blair sighed as Dan and Serena celebrated over their momentary victory they got over her

"And on that note, I will abide by your request and I will hail us a taxi" Dan said as he waved over at Serena before he gave the girl's some time

"Congrats again. That news is thrilling compared to the night you've had" Serena said

"I need you to do me a big favor" Blair quickly told Serena with a worried face

"What is it?" Serena asked

"Georgina, she's not in the best of conditions" Blair said

"Was she injured?" Serena asked

"Not necessarily. I wish that I could tell you, but on this I need you to trust me. Just….just check on her before you leave tonight" Blair told her as Serena just heeded Blair's request "Can you do that for me?" she asked

"Yeah, I'll do it" Serena replied in agreement as Blair seemed a bit relieved but knew that she'd still have to get in touch with her brother.

Putting on her clothes, Katie did her best to remain quiet as she looked back over at the bed to see Tyler still knocked out. Thinking and contemplating to herself, Katie grew frustrated as to where Georgina could be hiding the prints that she had. Surveying the room once more, Katie walked through the living room to be sure. Coming to a final stop, Katie couldn't help but get lost in her thoughts for that moment. With everything being so close, Katie couldn't help but think about all that she had gone through to get her to this point.

[Flashback; Young Katie Sparks]

Climbing the staircase in a hurry of the church, Katie smiled excitedly at the sound of the choir singing. Reaching the top of the balcony, Katie ran up towards the ledge to look on at her mother sing along with her choir members in preparation for Sunday's service. Humming along with the songs, Katie had tried to sing along but found the words to be too big for her to pronounce or simply a word that she couldn't remember quick enough with the melody. Finding joy away from her sister's teasing, Katie knew there was just some things Georgina would never grow to appreciate as much as she did. Not faulting her sister for her clear boredom of all things church, Katie certainly could hide her favorite part of it all, the angelic singing of her mother along with the choir that sounded like God's angels calling upon the man up above. Noticing the young girl, George looked on at her for a few moments as he seemed to find content in watching her from a far as she had entered into his sacred area of study while the choir practiced. Turning to take a seat, Katie was caught off guard to see her grandfather walking towards her.

"Grandfather, you scared me" Katie laughed

"What are you doing up here young lady?" George asked his granddaughter as she grew skeptical to admit what she was up to "Shouldn't you be out getting your dress for Sunday along with Georgina?" he asked

"Yes, but Hilda said to wait for mom to take us. So I thought I'd come here and wait. Georgy is at home, I don't think she's up for either suggestion" Katie reasoned

"Are you lying?" George asked

"No" Katie replied "I wouldn't lie to you grandfather" she said in all sincerity as he couldn't help but smile at her

"That's good to hear" George laughed as he slowly rose his hand up to caress her face as she took in delight her grandfather's affection of her "You are mighty beautiful Katie. So beautiful beyond your years" he said as he continued to caress her face

"Thank you" Katie smiled at the compliment

"You look just like an angel" George smiled before he slowly pulled his hand away as he looked on at Katie for a few moments, becoming for a few moments, George stared on at the little girl before him as he could clearly see a young woman before him "I noticed that you didn't know the words to the songs they sing" he said

"I'm trying to learn them. Mom says she'll teach me but she's been busy with all church events" Katie said

"Then you should ask me. You forget I hold a pretty powerful seat in the church. As a matter of fact, I can only have the choir sing the songs that you know if you want to be that way" George said as Katie laughed

"Can you really do that?" Katie laughed

"I can" George replied as Katie continued to laugh "….let me teach you. I can teach you the words to all the songs you want to know" she said

"Really? That'd be cool. I mean, that sounds dorky…." Katie said realizing that she sounded like a dork in that moment

"We don't use that language. And you will learn the words, I won't stop until you know all of them. Come by my chamber after you finish your dress shopping. I'll make arrangements for you to come afterwards" George said before Katie quickly hugged her grandfather, wrapping her arms around his neck

"Thank you. That'd be great" Katie praised her grandfather as he laughed at her excitement

[End of flashback]

Her hand began to clench shut as her reality came creeping back in. Looking on to see that she was in Georgina's suite, Katie felt her heart race slowly descend as the immediate anger began to subside. Feeling the vibrations of her cell phone, Katie pulled it out of her phone to look on at the caller identification. Looking on to see that it was Mac calling, Katie looked back towards the bedroom before she proceeded to walk out into the hallway outside.

"Finally you pick up, I've been trying to reach you. Where are you?" Mac asked

"I'm…I'm at Georgina's. I came here with Tyler" Katie said "Did you find out anything about the shooting?" she asked

"Why are you there?" Mac asked

"That's besides the point, did you find out about the shooting? The guy, Paolo, he's worked for my grandfather before" Katie said

"Yeah, he's worked with him on this current incident as well. Got access to your grandfather's hotel and Paolo's accounts, there was interaction since your grandfather has been in town" Mac said

"Which means that my grandfather knows something and was possibly trying to kill me. This family can't get any more screwed up" Katie groaned "He knows something. For him to resort to trying to kill me, he knows some thing in regards to the smear campaign" she said

"Well you were lucky" Mac said "Georgina was amongst the causalities" he said as Katie froze for a moment

"What do you mean? What happened to Georgina?" Katie asked quickly as heart began to sink to the pit of her stomach

"….she got hurt. I tried to keep up with the news. Reports have come out that she was rushed in to surgery upon arrival at the hospital" Mac said as Katie quickly ran over towards the elevator

"I've got to go" Katie replied in a hurried voice

"Wait, I need to know what you want me to do next" Mac questioned

"I don't know. I can't, I can't think right now" Katie said in a haze of confusion

"What do you mean you can't think? You were a target to be killed, by newsflash, your grandfather!?" Mac replied

"It's my sister. My sister!?" Katie replied becoming annoyed with Mac "I'll get back to you" she said before she ended the call as she boarded the elevator.

Opening up the fridge to pull out a bottle of water, Blair let out a sigh as she closed the fridge door. Putting the bottle water down on the counter, Blair reached over to grab the medicine that they had picked up from the pharmacy on the way home. Heading back towards the bedroom, Blair walked in to see Dan coming out of the bathroom as he had finished up with taking his shower. Dressed in his pajama bottoms, Dan continued to dry his upper body off while Blair took a seat on the edge of the bed to read over the instructions. Laughing to himself with how protective Blair was, Dan tossed his towel to the side while he walked over to join Blair on the edge of the bed.

"You have to take this pill right away" Blair said as she handed over the pill bottle to Dan

"And I will do so" Dan said as Blair looked over at him

"Dan, you wet your dressing" Blair sighed as she reached for the bandage that was on his forehead

"Blair, I'm fine. It's a minor bump" Dan told her

"A minor bump? Dan, you can't get minor bumps to your head of all things. I'm surprised the hospital even let you go, they should've kept you for observations" Blair began to say

"Because they know that I will be fine" Dan told her

"Hospitals should live off of fine, they should know" Blair replied

"What's with you?" Dan asked with a bit of a laugh as he brought his hand up to the side of her face "I mean you're usually not this wound up…"he began to say

"I'm usually not in the presence of gunshots" Blair quickly replied

"True" Dan smiled "But we survived. We're both alive. We're both here together….so there's no need to worry" he told her

"That's easy for you to say" Blair said "Worrying is all I seem to do lately, and with Jack and Ivy suddenly being pals, I'm even more worried" she said

"I can admit that I didn't see that coming, but I assume that is Ivy being Ivy. She tends to go for those guys that aren't quite best for her, I don't know Jack well enough but…." Dan began to say

"But you're right. Jack isn't a good guy. It's not in his DNA" Blair said "Her friendship is something I'd be weary of. I know that some people will disappoint you, even me, but you…."she began to say

"I don't think you could disappoint me, at least not these days" Dan said

"But I can. I have….I have disappointed you and….I think that you should know that I would never intentionally hurt you…"Blair began to say

"You're all over the place" Dan laughed "I think it's cute and I think it's you letting the worry in too much. I know it was scary for you but….don't worry. Just, be glad that we're here" he said as he caressed her face as he smiled at here "The only way I'd be disappointed is if you weren't here with me" he whispered to her as he slowly leaned in

"I have to tell you something" Blair whispered

"It can wait" Dan told her before he leaned in to kiss. Slowly pressing his lips against hers, Dan waits for Blair to be sure as he opens his eyes to see hers are closed before a smile broke from his lips "You here with me?" he whispered as the space between them disappeared as all she could do was nod in agreement. In every possible way she was here in this moment with him. Dan leans his head in as their lips make contact once again. Feeling as if the whole world stopped, Dan feels Blair completely giving in to him as if she's willing to be led through his ability to just be in the now with her rather than worry. Laying her back on the bed, Dan and Blair continue to kiss so sweetly as they dabble in and out of lust for each other with their desire building.

It's me and you
We're all alone
You, you got me on a temper I've never known
You make me feel like it's no one in the world
It's just us tonight, tonight
Just hold my body and don't ever let go
Just kiss the places that keeps me wanting more

Propping himself up on his forearm, Dan breaks the kiss to look down into her wide eyes. The bits of night that remain casts a light on her face, lovely as always and Dan stare at her eyes, scanning them for what she may be thinking. In that moment, Dan can see so much. Love, desire, understanding, and just the slightest bit of fear. Leaning forward, Dan turns the last remaining light off in the room as they embraced the darkness before he leans down to capture her lips in his. This kiss is different than the one before. This kiss is all desire, and you return it with equal passion. Keeping his body raised up, Blair's hands begins to wander down his sides; one is on his back, trying to pull him down.

And take me higher love
And take me till love had enough
Make me scream I'm all yours
Cause ain't nothing wrong with that
Cause ain't nothing wrong with that
The sounds of make love

In just her bra and panties, Dan continued his attack on her body. Kissing his way down to her neck, Blair's whole body arched up, offering itself to Dan as his hands roamed. Wrapping her leg around his waist, Blair pushed his boxers down while Dan got situated in between her legs. Looking on at each other for a few moments, Dan leaned forward to capture her lips as he slowly slid in. Feeling his entrance, Blair clawed in to his back as the sensations at first were still much to handle but it was still the best part of the ride for her in the weirdest way. That unspeakable feeling breaks in both of Dan and Blair before they just melt together. Both of them thinking of nothing now but desire. Both of them feeling the heat as they grind themselves together, each move pushing them on, bringing them closer and closer.

I Want you to say you love me
Plus I'm here till I hear you name me
Cant deal without you
I'm living, continue

Kissing wildly as they grunt and groan, Dan thrust deep inside as his pace became slow and methodical. Breathing hard, Dan could feel it start to build in within his loins. Feeling Blair's rhythm getting erratic, Dan knows she's just as close as he was. Bucking like wild animals, Blair's hands dig deeper in to Dan's back as he begins to pound inside of her. Their foreheads rubbing against each other as the sweat made them glide against each other so easily. Biting down on his shoulder, Blair stifled her moans as she could feel the pleasure build to it's maximum capacity. The squeaks of the bed nearly causing concern that it may break on them with how passionate lovemaking was turning rough and rugged. Moans, grunts, groans feeling the air as Blair cries out in ecstasy while Dan could feel her begin to shake in his arms. Unable to take it anymore, Dan grunts as he reaches the point of no return as they both react. A small, high pitches noise escapes your lips and I pass the point of no return. Dan gives one final thrust as Blair meets him with a thrust of her own before they both collapse. Dan and Blair's breathing slows, while Blair begins to feel control of her body coming back. Dan looks into her eyes one last time for the night before their lips touch delicately again.

Take me higher love
And take me till love had enough
Make me scream I'm all yours
Cause ain't nothing wrong with that
Cause ain't nothing wrong with that
The sounds of make love

Making her way down the hallway, Serena came upon Georgina's room as she stopped for a moment. Knowing that Georgina and her weren't exactly the best of friends, Serena couldn't help but show concern for Georgina. With the reports beginning to come out as to the shooting, Serena expected to see Georgina's grandfather or father as her source of family to visit her but as the moments passed, Serena saw no signs of family showing up. Looking through the window in on Georgina, Serena could see that Georgina was resting in her bed, which made it a bit easier for Serena to give in to her fears of not wanting to disturb Georgina. Just as Serena began to turn to leave, Trip began to walk up to her as he seemed relieved to see the blonde.

"You good?" Trip asked

"Yeah, I wasn't there remember" Serena said "Nate, he's fine as well. His boredom made him leave early" she said as the silence grew between them "Georgina, she's hurt apparently. Just wanted to check on her and see how she is" she said as Trip nodded

"Is she okay?" Trip asked

"I really can't say. I'm hoping for the best" Serena told him

"I forget that you're the eternal optimist now" Trip nodded "It was…it was probably best that you weren't. It was all chaos and mayhem" he sighed as the tiredness began to set in for him

"I'm sorry for not showing up but I had to be there for Chuck and Marley" Serena replied

"No, don't be sorry. For a moment, I thought you were there. I got worried and scared thinking that if something happened to you….I'm just really glad you despise me. Knowing that helped me know that you were safe" Trip said as he let out a little laugh

"Blair and her family was there" Serena said

"Are they okay?" Trip immediately asked

"Yeah, they're fine or at least will be. Everyone for the most part survived" Serena replied "The shooting at least, other things, I'm not too sure about" she said

"What does that mean?" Trip asked

"Means….means that I'm glad things are okay. I'm glad you're okay" Serena said as tears welled up in her eyes

"What's wrong?" Trip asked

"I'm just a bit all over the place, it's nothing. My best friend could've died tonight, Marley's situation seems to be getting worse, which makes me worried about Chuck. I'm just constantly worrying and I don't know how to stop anything from getting worse" Serena said as she began to unravel before Trip pulled her in to a hug

"It's fine. Everyone is going to be fine" Trip whispered to her as Serena let out a sigh before she just accept his comfort, easing in to his embrace

Meanwhile….

Getting out of the taxi, Sean quickly ran in to the hospital and began to look around for some sense of direction. Walking up towards the receptionist desk, Sean was immediately directed towards the emergency room. Hurriedly walking down the hallways, Sean zipped in out of the walk way as he felt time working against him with the pace he was being reduced to. Turning the corner, Sean groaned in frustration as he came upon another hallway. Looking on the guides, Sean looked down the hallway and was immediately surprised with what he saw. Freezing to a complete stop, Sean looked on to see Serena and Trip in an embrace. With all that had happened, Sean would see this a typical thing as death could've loomed for either one but to see Serena fully engulfed in the hug, it only made feel like something was different with this hug. Before Sean could access any further, Sean felt the vibrations of his cell phone before he dove in to his pocket to pull his cell phone out. Seeing that it was Tyler calling, Sean backed away as he went back down the hallway he had just come down to answer the call.

"Hey, where are you?" Sean asked immediately putting his focus on his friend rather than the current situation

"I'm at Georgina's, I'm on my way back to my place" Tyler told him

"I'll meet you there" Sean told him before he quickly ended the call

Stirring awake from her slumber, Blair rubbed her face up against Dan's chest while she looked up to see the sunlight peeking through the curtains. Feeling Dan's heart beat against her own chest, Blair watched Dan resting so peacefully for a few moments as if it was something she wanted to remember. Slowly rolling over on to her back, Blair slipped out of the bed before walking over to grab her robe to put around herself. Heading out of the bedroom, Blair walked in to the living room to grab her cell phone before she tip toed in to the office so that Dan couldn't hear. Dialing a familiar number, Blair quickly put her phone up to her ear.

"You're alive!" April answered excitedly

"Of course I'm alive" Blair replied "Where are you guys?" she asked

"Justine and I are down at the convention center, we didn't hear anything from you so we thought we'd take on the task of being your rescue team" April told her

"Well that's sweet of you but I may need you to be my rescue team in another way" Blair said

"We're a member down, Jenny's on a Chuck mission" April said

"Because of Marley, I'm well aware. But at this point, I just need some help" Blair sighed

"Sure, what do you need?" April asked

"Ivy knows. She knows everything" Blair sighed

"How?" April asked

"I don't know but she wants to have coffee and I'm sure she'll be making her demands soon since she hasn't made good on her threat" Blair said

"So figure out something on her?" Justine asked quickly coming on the phone

"Yes, if you guys have any hope of Sarah not finding out, then we desperately need to figure something out" Blair told them

"Will do, but how exactly do we prepare for the fact that you've acquired a damn company!?" Justine exclaimed

"Okay, that's something I can explain later. Get Jenny up to speed and just handle this for me" Blair quickly replied before ending the call

Meanwhile….

With the little time that had passed from last night, Jenny couldn't help but be worried for all of her friends. Going by the Waldorf penthouse to see her father, Jenny was relieved that the parental front was okay. Learning that made it all the more easy for her to go about the day as normal as possible. Taking a hot shower back at her place, Jenny took some time to put on some comfortable clothing before she made her way back over towards Chuck's place. Stepping off the elevator, Blair made her way towards the penthouse to see that the door was open. Entering the penthouse cautiously, Jenny immediately looked on to see the darkness that was in the penthouse.

"Chuck. Chuck. Chuck" Jenny called out as she walked further into the penthouse, feeling an eery feeling in the pit of her stomach the closer she got before she was caught off guard by the sudden appearance of Chuck "Holy shit!?" she said jumping back in fear while Chuck just looked at her strangely as to why she was so jumpy

"What?" Chuck asked

"What? You scared the living crap out of me" Jenny said hitting him in the arm

"Yeah well, I tend to have that effect on people" Chuck said as he sauntered down the hallway with a bottle of vodka in hand as he walked

"Glad to see you're doing well" Jenny replied sarcastically

"Don't start. I'm in no mood for your judgments" Chuck said walking over towards the bar to begin making himself another drink

"I'm not going to start, I'm going to finish" Jenny replied as she took the glass away from Chuck "Drinking, really?! It's not going to help" she told him

"It helps me quite much thank you" Chuck replied

"How so? It numbs the pain for what? All of one day?" Jenny questioned

"One day at time, that's the motto isn't it" Chuck replied as he walked over towards the kitchen to get to another glass while Jenny quickly raced over

"Chuck, you could still get Marley back" Jenny replied "You could still prove to the judge, to the courts that you're a suitable person for her to live with" she said trying to convince him

"Let's see, my so called best friend technically kidnapped her and had her stay on a property that was owned by my family, which makes it seem like I knew about this. Tell me how I'm supposed to have hope?!" Chuck questioned angrily as a silence came between them "Tell me how I'm supposed to have hope when everything I have ever cared about has left me!" he yelled "Where's the hope?!" he exclaimed

"It's there" Jenny replied

"Go" Chuck replied as he pointed over towards the door

"No" Jenny quickly replied "If you want to turn into a drunken mess, flashback to who you used to be, then you'll have to do it in front of me" she told him as he glared on at her.

[Flashback]

Making her way inside of the darkened house, Katie slowly closed the door so that the sound didn't wake anyone. Looking on at her hand to see that it was trembling, Katie did her best to keep her hand still as best as she could. Slowly turning to walk towards her room, Katie could hear the sounds of music coming from Georgina's room that let her know that her sister was still awake. Some how becoming nervous at the thought of Georgina coming out to see her, Katie quickly ran in to her room, closing the door so that it seemed like she had been home for some time. Putting her back pack on to her bed, Katie stared on at the bag for a few moments as she just stared on at the black straps that hung freely off the edge of the bed. Knowing that they held no weight, Katie felt stupid now to realize that she once thought they did; that they had enough weight to pull her away towards safety. Heading into the bathroom, Katie slowly turned the lights on as she looked on at herself in the mirror for what felt like the very first time. Clothes disheveled. Hair in a mess. Bruises on her arm. Katie once again began to tremble at the sight of herself

[End of Flashback]

Shaking her head, Katie once again came back to the reality of where she was. Massaging her head as her frustration began to come with the unwanted memories, Katie did her best to will herself out of those thoughts. Pulling up in front of the hospital, Katie paid the driver before she quickly got out of the car. Making her way into the hospital, Katie walked towards the receptionist desk and on the way she couldn't help but notice the girl that sat in the corner. Noticing the disheveled look that the girl had as she slinked down in her chair, which only exposed the bruises that was on her arm; Katie couldn't help but stare longer than intended. Meeting each other's stare, Katie looked back at the girl and for a split second she felt like she was seeing herself all over again.

"How may I help you?" The receptionist asked, tearing Katie out of her reverie as she looked towards the woman

"Uh….I'm looking for Georgina Sparks" Katie said

"And you are?" The receptionist asked as she froze for a moment

"….I'm family" Katie replied "….a cousin" she told the woman as she looked on to see the woman filling out her visitors pass

"Down the hall, to the right. Room 114" The woman told her as Katie took the pass and nodded. Putting her pass on, Katie couldn't but glance over towards the girl that sat in the corner to realize that she wasn't there. Forcing herself to move on, Katie walked down the hall towards Georgina's room. Pausing for a moment, Katie opened the door to see Georgina laying awake as she looked out the window.

"You shouldn't be here" Georgina stated after a moment of silence came between the two

"How hurt are you?" Katie asked as she walked further in to the room

"You shouldn't concern yourself with that" Georgina replied as she looked on at her sister, showing the anger that was in her face "Did you win? Did you finally stick it to me?" she asked as the silence lingered between them. Katie feeling as if Georgina knack for sensing a liar was proving to be true

"I came here to see how you were Georgy. I heard that you had to rush in to surgery. I wanted to know if you were okay…." Katie began to say as she began to tremble

"What did you do?!" Georgina said as she raised her voice "Did you sleep with him? Did you two sleep together? Because I know you've been in contact with him, I know that you haven't spared any chance to get to him. He hasn't come by and I know he's safe, I made sure that he was safe. I'm not an idiot to think that he's out there searching for me….so, it let's me jump to my number one suspicion. My suspicion that tells me that you will go to great lengths to destroy me, and now….I just need to know" she rambled on as Katie shook her head "Tell me!" she yelled

"I didn't come here to talk about that, I came here for you…" Katie cried

"That's bullshit. Don't think for one second that I believe it. I don't believe it, I don't believe you. That's bullshit" Georgina said as tears welled up in her eyes "You not answering, that lets me know what I need to know…" she said as she cried

"Just tell me how you are? Let's not pretend that we both haven't tried to one up each other. It meant nothing, it's over; we've proved our points, we're both strong willed…" Katie began to rationalize

"Oh, God!? You're delusional" George said in disbelief "You slept with the one guy I cared about as a means to come after me. You've targeted him a means to hurt me, not because of some fleeting attraction but to hurt me. That's not strong willed, that's deranged" she replied as Katie cried "You want to know how I'm doing?" she asked her sister

"Yes" Katie replied through the tears

"You want to know why I was rushed in to surgery?" Georgina egged her on to rely

"Yes" Katie replied once again

"I was in surgery because I lost the baby that I was carrying" Georgina revealed as Katie was stunned with what she heard "While I was on an operating table getting my baby suctioned out of me, you were screwing my boyfriend as a means to get back at me. So now, ask me how I'm doing? Ask me how I'm doing in this state of things?" she asked as they both were filled with emotions "….I feel angry. I feel rage. I feel guilt. I feel hate. That's how I feel" she told her

Meanwhile….

Climbing up the staircase, Tyler began to juggle his keys around as he tried to find the keys to his place. Pausing at the door, Tyler was able to find his keys with much ease now that he was in a stationary position. For a few moments, Tyler paused as he thought back to the events of the night from the shooting to his passionate encounter with Catalina, he couldn't help but feel a bit of disbelief to it all. Pulling his phone out, Tyler expected to see some form of communication with Georgina but was once again reminded of the fact that his phone was dead. Groaning in frustration, Tyler inserted his key and began to make his way inside to see that Sean was already sitting at the table. Looking on at each other, Tyler let the door close behind him as he waved awkwardly at his friend.

"I'm clearly not shot, and you're clearly not in Boston" Tyler stated "Am I dead and you happened to inherit my apartment?" he asked

"I wouldn't inherit your apartment. I'd pass on that even if you were dead" Sean replied as he got up from his seat "I against the wishes of many New Yorkers, decided to come back once I heard about the shooting. What happened?" he asked

"As implied, there was a shooting" Tyler stated "I hear swanky music, Trip takes the stage and then next thing I hear are gun shots. It was all like a scene out of a movie with out the over priced actors. I saw the shooter, he had the gun pointed right at me but I thankfully dodged that pending doom by a shove out of the way. Still not sure as to who saved me, but I owe them my life" he said

"That can go for the both of us" Sean sighed "How is Georgina recovering?" he asked

"I don't know. Everyone got separated. I stopped by my mom's house on the way over and she's good as well as Blair. I'm hoping that once I plug my phone up that I'll hear something about Georgina" Tyler sighed as he walked over to his wall charger

"So you haven't been by the hospital?" Sean questioned

"No, I'd have no reason to be. My family is fine and not in a hospital" Tyler replied as Sean looked at him strangely "What's with the look?" he asked noticing Sean's facial expression

"Where were you last night?" Sean asked "I mean this all went down last night" he said

"Yes, and I got separated from everyone…." Tyler began to say

"I get that, but you were at Georgina's place from what you told me on the phone. But yet, you don't know how she's doing. I mean were you waiting for her? Then I thought that she told you not to come?" Sean questioned

"I'm not exactly going to be told what to do, you should know that" Tyler laughed "I was at Georgina's" he said as Sean couldn't help but feel like Tyler was hiding something from him

"Were you waiting for her?" Sean asked

"….yes" Tyler replied as Sean gave him a skeptical look

"Okay, now would be the time you tell me everything because I know you well enough to know that your supposed story isn't adding up to what's going on. So I'll ask again, where were you?" Sean asked

"I was at Georgina's place…..with another girl" Tyler reluctantly admitted as Sean looked surprised

"Wow" Sean said in disbelief "I mean that's….that's got to be, I mean did you…."he began to process

"Yes" Tyler said as Sean shook his head in disbelief "Before you get upset, I didn't plan any of it. It just happened. I didn't do anything wrong…."he began to say

"No, the fact that you have to say you didn't do anything wrong let's me know that you know you did something wrong because otherwise, why say it" Sean quickly replied

"Don't judge" Tyler replied

"I'm not going to because I think, no I know, I know that you'll do that over your own actions. I just want to draw you back to information that you apparently haven't caught on to" Sean told him as Tyler folded his arms "Now mind you, I have been on an airplane and have managed to get this information quicker than you…."he began to say

"What information?" Tyler asked as Sean just looked on at his friend "Would this information help in the form of my story that I need to get to due to recent events that have completely changed things?" he asked

"You know what? Let's have you get to that conclusion on your own, let's sit here together and watch some good old fashioned news and get to this conclusion together" Sean said

"Don't you have a Serena issue you can hash out with her or something?" Tyler questioned

"I'm staying" Sean quickly replied as a Serena issue was the last thing he wanted to talk about

"You've lost your mind" Tyler replied as he walked towards his bedroom "As I'm watching this television supposedly, I'm going to take a shower" he said

"To get the sex off of you, good idea. That way, when you see Georgina, you would have some bit of decency to not smell of another woman" Sean said as Tyler closed the door to his bedroom. Resting up against the door, Tyler listened intently as he could hear Sean turn on the over at the window, Tyler quickly look out to see that the ladder was well within reach for him to use as a method of escape.

Applying her lipstick to her lips, Blair quickly finished up with the little make up that she put on. Quickly stowing her make up away in her kit, Blair made her way out of the restroom and immediately walked over towards her closet to pull her jacket out as she headed out of the bedroom. Heading down the hallway, Blair looked on towards the kitchen to see Dan was dressed in his sweatpants, eating a bowl of cereal while he was on the phone. Coming to the understanding that it wasn't Carter that he was talking to but was talking his own business endeavors with Lyle. Moving about the living room, Blair gathered her purse while Dan finished up his phone call.

"Where are you off to?" Dan asked

"I am going in to the office for a bit" Blair replied "Business for you, you should probably go take care of that as well" she said quickly

"It was just Lyle sending out the schedule for production" Dan told her "I've actually been very productive while you were asleep" he said leaning in to give her a quick kiss

"How so?" Blair asked

"I called your publicity department to set up a press conference for the launch of Waldorf, something small and intimate, I was thinking it could be held at the Waldorf penthouse because it would be suitable. Then I have enlisted Dorota's command over the kitchen to whip up a gathering at the penthouse for the media to get their possible questions out…." Dan began to say

"And when exactly do you expect me to do all of this? I mean I think I can take my time with all of this, the company isn't going anywhere" Blair laughed nervously as the talks of companies were making her nervous with Dan

"I know but I would think this is something that you want out. The media won't do it justice with speculation and all. At least with this you can control what is said, I think it'd be a perfect set up" Dan smiled

"Can I think about it? This is something that I haven't put too much thought to with recent events" Blair said

"Well you should probably make up your mind quick" Dan told her

"Why?" Blair asked

"Because I may have got a head start on the guest list" Dan said just as a knock came to the door

"Humphrey, who is that?" Blair quickly asked in response as Dan slithered away from her grasp to go answer the door

"We shall see" Dan laughed as Blair groaned in frustration before he opened up the door to reveal Harold and Roman on the otherside

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me" Blair muttered to herself

"Care Blaire" Harold said as he immediately entered to hug his daughter while Dan closed the door behind Roman once he came in

"Hi, dad" Blair said as she forced a smile while Dan looked on at the two embracing

Feeling the tension in the room, the nurse continued to check Georgina's vitals while Katie stood off in the corner. Looking on intently at Georgina, Katie ran through her mind things that she could say and found that nothing was coming up as she wanted it to be. Her fears of whomever would walk through the door may recognize her, Katie knew that her biggest risk was staying too long but at this point she couldn't find any part of her that was so willingly able to leave her little sister. Finishing up her vitals, the nurse attempted to help Georgina get back in the bed but was met with clear protest from Georgina. Given her fair warnings to take it easy, Georgina showed her annoyance as the picking and prodding of the nurse was getting to her in everyway. Once the nurse left the room, Georgina slowly tried to move so that she could sit on the side of the bed. Seeing how gingerly her sister was moving, Katie walked over quickly to be some kind of aide to her sister.

"Don't…do not touch me!?" Georgina replied sternly as she pushed Katie's hand away before she sat up on the bed

"I'm trying to help Georgy" Katie told her

"You've helped enough" Georgina replied "Just go. I don't know why you're even here still" she muttered

"….you know why?" Katie replied as a silence came between them "How far along?" she asked

"We're not talking about this" Georgina replied quickly

"Why not?" Katie asked

"Because I just lost my child!?" Georgina yelled "I just lost, I have lost. So please, give me the decency to mourn or do whatever the hell you feel is necessary to not ask the one question I can't answer. How far along? Would it matter if it was a day or two week or two months? Nothing matters but that my baby is gone" she stated

"You can't blame this on me Georgie. You can't hold this against me because I didn't know….if I would've known, I would've…." Katie began to reason as she was trying her hardest to relieve herself of the guilt she felt

"You would've done what? Not sleep with my boyfriend? Jerked him off instead because that makes all the difference in relieving yourself of guilt" Georgina replied angrily "What would you have done differently?" she asked

"I would've….I would've protected you" Katie replied as Georgina just laughed to herself

"Protected me? You can't protect air around me, why would I entrust myself in your hands?" Georgina replied "You're as about as wreckless as they come" she said

"My loyalty isn't to other people. My family, you, you I would die for" Katie stated

"No, you left me remember. You died for me but ever since then it's me protecting you and your kamikaze of a mission. It's me, your family that you declared war on when I did all that I could to convince you to leave Tyler out of this" Georgina said "…but you couldn't help yourself, you went after him anyways to spite me, to get back at me…."she began to say

"Like you didn't challenge me. Georgy it's what we do, we challenge each other, we fight, we get upset but we always remain family above all else. To know that I would've been an aunt…." Katie began to say

"Stop right there" Georgina quickly replied "You don't get to play the sympathy card as if you're some good person caught up in a misunderstanding. You created this mess, that shooting was your fault. All of this, is your fault" she exclaimed

"Do you have any clue as to who was behind the shootings?" Katie questioned in disbelief

"Yes, I know. I know because once again it was me trying to clean your mess up" Georgina stated "He knew because once again you got reckless by coming to New York of all places" she replied

"What was I supposed to do!?" Katie exclaimed

"You should've kept your vendetta's in Monaco, the place you've slinked off to spread this havoc" Georgina said

"No, this was something I couldn't control. I mean I had everything under control, I don't…I don't know where it went wrong…." Katie began to say as she try to replay everything as she once thought was planned

"It went wrong when our grandfather puts a hit on Tyler, that's where it goes wrong" Georgina replied as Katie looked on in shock "You see, that look you have, it lets me know that you knew nothing, therefore, made a wreckless decision once again" she stated

"How?" Katie asked in confusion "Why would he go after Tyler?" she questioned

"I'm sure that's a question you can answer on your own because I'm done" Georgina said as her sister's words made her a bit skeptical of her truths

"You can't be done. I'm your family. I'm you're sister" Katie replied

"You're none of those things to me" Georgina replied as she got up from the bed to stand on her feet.

"Georgy…." Katie began to say as tears welled up in her eyes

"Just go" Georgina replied while she couldn't help but let the tear fall from her eyes

"I'm sorry. Georgy you have to believe that" Katie said as she wiped away tears "It just….I couldn't tell you because you wouldn't have understood. You have to trust me that this was all something I had to do…."she began to reason before Georgina reached to grab her cell phone out of her pants pocket that was in her belongings bag as she began to dial the familiar number "Georgy, what are you doing?" she asked as Georgina got the answering machine

"Hi, Tyler. It's me, Georgina. I'm perfectly fine. I'm off to Miami for some sun, so it's been nice knowing you. You can leave me alone and render yourself single again or whatever thought you have of yourself. Gotta go, I see a cabana boy that I need to do" Georgina said before she ended the call. Looking on at her phone, Katie looked at her in disbelief

"This wasn't his fault, I….I did this as you say" Katie said

"Good, then you have successfully schemed him to be yours. Congrats, you've won. You get a cheating bastard as your prize" Georgina said as pushed past her sister and headed in to the bathroom

Forking over the food that was on her plate, Blair did her best to stay in the moment with her father. It was clear to see that from his arrival, Harold was overcome with worry about his daughter as any parent would be, which made Blair a little more susceptible to letting her father do so. Feeling the vibrations against her leg from the texts she was so sure were coming from Justine and April, Blair tried to play them off as something she didn't hear. Coming out of the kitchen with another round of food, Blair glared on at Dan as it was clear he was being won over with the likes of food. Taking his seat at the table, Dan did his best to avoid Blair's glare while he couldn't help but laugh to himself.

"So dad, while you see that I'm okay, surely there are other things you can do in the city to preoccupy your time that wait on me" Blair suggested

"What's with the sudden push for us to leave?" Harold asked

"There's no sudden push, it's a gentle push for you to get lost in wims of a play on broadway" Blair said

"Broadway?" Harold questioned

"I don't need you worrying about me" Blair assured him

"That's a new page turner. You telling someone else not to worry" Dan laughed as he continued to eat his waffles "Sir, your waffles are amazing" he then stated

"I don't feel right with you worrying so much while we're clearly okay" Blair said

"Well if you must know, we're not here on the case of you being alive and okay. We're here because Dan has informed us that good news has been reached" Harold said

"Something in regards of the family company coming back into the hands of its rightful place" Roman said happily

"That could be likely" Blair said

"It's very much likely" Dan smiled "She's got acquisitions" he teased

"Does your mother know?" Harold asked

"I'm sure by now" Blair replied shrugged as Harold smiled on at his daughter

"I knew you could do it. I always knew you could do it Care Blair" Harold smiled as Blair couldn't help but crack a smile at her father's doting upon her

"….it was something that is minor compared to what I've done" Blair shrugged "Not like I did anything heroic" she said

"You've done something heroic, you've done something that I know for a fact that you're mother will be proud of you" Harold told her

"Which is all the more reason why we should put this accomplishment on full display. Give the Waldorf family the attention it deserves for this occasion" Roman said

"You guys really want this badly, don't you?" Blair asked

"You should as well. This, this is big in the realm of corporate, right? So why not show that off" Dan said "We could throw the biggest party of them all, donate the proceeds to those affected by the shootings. It could be good and charitable at the same time" he said as Blair thought to herself for a moment

"Fine, let's make the announcement. A new world order as they say" Blair said as she knew it was best to join them to go against them. Celebrating over the news, they were all interrupted by the sounds of a knock at the door. Getting up to answer the door, Harold smiled from ear to ear with every step that he took to go answer the door. Opening the door, Blair rose to her feet to see her mother making her way inside and on her face she could see how proud her mother was in that moment.

"Here she is, our baby girl" Harold said as Eleanor walked forward

"Is it true?" Eleanor asked as Blair walked towards her parents

"Yes, it's true" Blair nodded "I got it back. You…you have it back" she said as Eleanor quickly leaned in to hug her daughter. Embracing Blair as tight as she could, Blair could feel how happy her mother was. "It's back where it belongs" she whispered to her mother as Harold and Dan looked on with much pride in the two women.

Watching the two women embrace, Dan couldn't help but feel like everything had come full circle in this moment for the family. It somehow mattered more to him than he ever thought that this accomplishment be recognized, which was surprising to him. Of all things Blair knew about it, it was that he was far from corporate, but in this moment he felt like this was his victory along with Blair. Like he knew that she had to struggle to get to this point, a struggle that he could only admire a woman like her would get through to make up who she was today. It strange, but he somehow felt like this moment was more personal that he could ever imagine.

[Flashback]

Seeing the girl before him, more devastated than ever. Dan wasn't quite sure what to make of this as he had never seen Blair like this before. So used to see the supremely confident side of her, the side of her that didn't budge under pressure, the side that always found a way out; that side was gone. All that stood before him was a girl struggling to find a way, but realizing that at each turn there was a dead end that didn't get her to an easy street of redemption as she had hoped.

"No one can take away what your mother means to you" Dan told her as the distance between them was slowly disappearing "That's something that can't be taken" he said

"They have. They've made a mockery of this whole family" Blair cried as it became gut wrenching to hear her cries to Dan "No one truly remembers the fallen in this world. People don't say 'Once upon a time she was great'. No, they use it as an anecdote on what not to do, the cautionary tale for future businesswomen" she said

"Sometimes it amazes me how wrong you can be….because it's not always about the materialistic or visible things a person has or had, remembering a person is all about the spirit of them or the lessons they taught. Materials don't last. The visible things lose worth, but the meanings the spirit of where they originated….that live and stay here" Dan told her as he pointed to his heart as she sobbed

"This is all my fault, I did this. I did this to her" Blair sobbed as she fell to her knees just as Dan took her side to pull her close "I did this. I did this, I admit to that…just please don't leave me, don't leave me" she sobbed uncontrollably….

[End of Flashback]

Shaking his head, Dan began to look around the living room setting as if he was still stuck in that moment. Feeling the darkness lifted from that moment, Dan realized that he must've dreamt up that scenario as it clearly didn't apply to the happiness of the moment they were having now. Looking up at Eleanor, Dan could see a look of concern on her face as she walked towards him. Just eying the woman, Dan felt his heart racing at a thousand miles per minute before he quickly leaned in to hug her to the surprise of Blair and Harold. Laughing at Dan's embrace, Eleanor rubbed his back as this seemed to be the most affection he had shown her in a while.

Resting her head against the back of the headrest, Katie listened on to the honking and curses that were typical of a traffic jammed New York City day. With Georgie's accident still weighing on her, Katie couldn't help but feel lifeless to it all as Georgina's revelation was as left field as it came. Pulling up front of the townhouse that Christian and his family had rented for their stay, Katie took a few moments to get herself together as she knew she'd have to channel her persona even more now to get to the bottom of George's part in the shooting while Mac was on the trail to figuring out things himself. Making her way through security, Katie entered into the living room area to see that George was sitting there as if he was expecting her. Freezing for a moment, Katie looked around at her surroundings, feeling as if she could potentially be set up.

"Where is everyone?" Katie asked trying to sound chipper

"Everyone is off to do deal with the media" George said "It appears the tragedy the other night has put a cast on things, and now the renewed focus is on rebuilding" he said

"A whole convention center lost. Body count up to twenty four. I would think rebuilding is the perfect solution" Katie sighed "Makes me wonder why you've stayed behind, shouldn't you be encouraging the church as a safe haven to those that are scared?" she asked

"The church will be holding a prayer at services tonight" George said

"Good to know. I think it will go a long way to show your activity in the community" Katie said as a silence came between them as they looked on at each other with their own skepticism "It's strange, the guy they caught as the shooter, it appears he's coming up with certain tales of how it all went down" she said

"As they all do" George said

"Yeah, that's true. He just states that a higher ranking official had enlisted his services in the job. Says it was to get rid of a bug that was being quite the pain in his side" Katie said

"You have quite the knowledge on this, getting this from a inside source?" George asked

"Something like that" Katie smiled

"You should be careful with inside sources Catalina, they tend to use any weakness as a chance to gain control" George said "….and with that being said, I think it would be best if we rethink your position of help to my case" he said

"Really? Why is that?" Katie asked

"I don't want to have a conflict of interest within the family" George said as Katie froze for a moment

"I respect your decision then" Katie told him as a silence came between them "I also want to give you my condolences for your loved one" she said

"What do you mean?" George asked

"It appears that your granddaughter, she was one of the causalities in the shooting" Katie said as George's expression nearly dropped to pure shock "….you'll have to forgive the misunderstanding. She was injured but survived. I heard it earlier this morning on the news" she told him as he quickly rose from her seat

"Well then, if you excuse me, I have family business to tend to" George said

"Completely understand" Katie told him "My best regards go to you and your family" she said as George nodded "I'll be sure to tell the family of our amicable split as client and attorney. Christian will be pressed to find you new representation" she said as he made his way out of the townhouse. Watching her grandfather leave, Katie quickly pulled her cell phone out.

"Look who decides to call…" Mac began to say

"I don't have time for the sarcasm. I need you to tell me what you know? He's gone after Tyler and I need to know why" Katie stated

"….well for the simple fact that the file used when uploading the files at the news station was linked to said Tyler Adams" Mac told her

"How do you miss that!?" Katie asked angrily

"Look, don't bitch me out. I feel bad enough that the guy was a target but it's not like we're doing simple things. You're going about the craziest task, in the craziest of manners. You're going after a public figure that is beloved in his home state" Mac replied

"I don't need you to remind me of what we're doing. What I need is to be able to trust that you can handle your end of the deal without having to worry that you're messing something up!?" Katie replied

"Easy for you to say. I'm doing the manual labor in all of this. You forget I'm cleaning your mess up in all of this" Mac replied "And if you think you're so perfect, then you handle this…"he began to say

"Mac. Mac…." Katie began to say

"No, screw this. I didn't sign up to be your whipping boy" Mac replied before he ended the call. Groaning in frustration, Katie was eager to throw the phone but got the better of her emotions to prevent herself from doing so. Feeling the vibration of her cell phone, Katie hoped that it was Mac calling her back as she eagerly answered

"I got the point, now will you help?" Katie asked quickly

"I could but I would first need to know where you are. Kind of left me high and dry here" Tyler said as Katie felt even more guilt to hear his voice

"Sorry, I had to take care of something" Katie said

"Something that involves George?" Tyler asked "I'm under high alert right now by my friend, but I think I have something that could…."he began to say

"I don't want your help. Just stay away from me and….just screw off" Katie replied

"Okay, what have I done now? What's with the change of attitude?" Tyler questioned

"Change of attitude is that you've become a liability to me, one that I can't afford to have with me anymore. Do yourself a favor Tyler and make things right with your girlfriend" Katie said as she made her way out of the house

"What does Georgina have to do with this? Granted what happened last night would put her in the middle, but….it's not like we planned it" Tyler said

"Which is code for you not getting the bigger picture. Tyler, your girlfriend, she's lying to you. I'll let you marinate on that but know that a girl cares about everything and in this case, she'll care about what we did. She lied to you and now you need to find her, make things right and stay away from me" Katie said as she quickly ended the call before she hailed a taxi

Grabbing the cup of coffee, April smiled on at the burista before making her way over towards the condiment area. Putting in her crème and sugar to her liking, April reached her satisfaction level as she grew content with her condiment level. Throwing the wrappers in the trash, April proceeded out towards the sitting area of the coffee shop to see Justine engrossed in what she was viewing on the computer. Taking her seat across from Justine, April leaned forward to see what Justine was looking at. Leaning back in her chair, Justine nearly waved the white flag while April took over computer duties.

"What if we find out she's some murderer?" Justine asked

"She's not a murderer" April replied

"What if she's an ax murderer?" Justine then questioned

"If she's not a murderer in general, then how is she now an ax murderer?" April questioned

"You know, I'm starting to miss Jenny in this whole research mission. She at least acknowledges my crazed theory from time to time" Justine told her

"I acknowledge them, I just can't in this moment because it's highly impossible for her to be an ax murderer" April said

"Girls can be anything they want to be" Justine told her "If she wants to be an ax murderer, she can" she said

"Okay, now isn't the time to evoke girl power. Not with this situation of all things" April replied "Do you remember what college she went to?" she asked

"I try to forget facts about her, so calling upon that memory may be a while…." Justine began to say before the phone began to ring "Finally you call" she stated as she put Jenny on speakerphone

"Sorry, I've been a little busy with Chuck" Jenny whispered

"Oh God, you two slept together?!" April replied

"No, he's just in a dark place right now with the whole Marley thing" Jenny said "I got a text from Blair about Ivy, what's going on?" she asked

"To make matters short, Ivy knows everything and now we need to know everything about her" Justine replied

"Uh, well….I know that she used to date the popular guys. She has a rocky relationship with her parents. She….went to California for college…" Jenny began to say

"USC?" April suggested

"Could be" Jenny stated

"Since we're not hacker worthy, I suggest we find someone that is and crack the Ivy code" April stated

Meanwhile….

As the night waned on and the planning of the big Waldorf press conference was becoming all the buzz, Blair found that any moment to think on her own was hard to do. With her mother's clear excitement, it was no surprise that the next day came so easily for her as it all just felt like a whirlwind of events happening. The planning of the event had mostly been left up to the event staff that her mother had for years, while publicity was something that Darren had to handle in regards to the line of questioning; all angles being covered with some sort of professionalism at the helm. Being mindful of the fact that her meeting with Ivy could go either way, Blair had to feel some bit of relief that Ivy hadn't decided to blast her to Dan while her secret was still very much new to Ivy. Meeting up with Ivy at a café, Blair quickly spotted the blond in her best attire as she waited. Walking over to join Ivy, Blair took her seat, fully prepared to cut to the chase than with niceties.

"Ivy" Blair said as she put her purse down to the side

"Blair" Ivy smiled "I almost thought with all the latest Waldorf craze that you might skip out on joining me" she said

"You made it abundantly clear that you wanted to talk with me, we're both aware of the subject so let's just start there" Blair said

"You're blunt and to the point" Ivy laughed

"No use in beating around the bush and it's not like I'm going to gravel at your feet for you to show mercy. Blunt and to the point was my only option" Blair said

"Isn't there the thrill inside of you wanting to know how I figured you out?" Ivy asked with a bit of a laugh "I mean I had to put in some work" she said

"I'm sure you did but no, there's no thrill" Blair replied "What do you want Ivy?" she asked

"For starters, I want….hell, I should blunt and to the point as well. I want Dan" Ivy said as Blair forced a smile

"Of course" Blair laughed

"It's no surprise that I still harbor feelings for him…."Ivy began to say

"Feelings, that's what you call rewriting a couple's history to suit your own?" Blair questioned "Or claiming to be the blond he wrote his first ever book about? Which harbored feelings are you resorting to that wasn't manufactured by lies" she questioned

"Do you really want to get in to the art of lying because I believe that you are miles ahead of me" Ivy stated as a silence came between them "Now while I don't agree with your premise, I do agree that I haven't exactly made my best impressions with Dan" she said

"Impression wouldn't be the word I'd use" Blair replied

"Which is why I won't tell Dan about your lies" Ivy said to Blair's surprise

"How….generous of you" Blair said skeptically

"Instead you will pay me a monthly salary for keeping your secret to help me stay near and dear with my friend" Ivy said

"Friend? You're insane if you think I will enlist you on my pay roll. I don't pay for silence" Blair said

"Okay well, we can just go see Dan down at the studio to tell him that you used him to get access to the company and the real kicker…..you're planning a secret wedding behind his back that features him" Ivy told her

"….I'm not going to let you blackmail. I'd get gleefully shop at Wal-mart before I let you black mail me" Blair replied

"I figured that you would take that route, which is why I wanted to put your attention on something that may be vital to you" Ivy said

"Nice, you've improved with your blackmailing. The anticipation is built quite nicely…" Blair began to say

"Through my own sources at Sarah Myers, I learned that the true mastermind behind the wedding plan was dear, sweet April Zellers. So it had me thinking, the only way you'd go along with this plan is if you knew that the others had something to lose in all of this. Jenny and Justine, they don't have much to lose because they're not truly apart of the Upper Eastside, but April…she is" Ivy said

"Now I get why you've been hanging around Jack Bass of all people" Blair laughed to herself "This is clearly Jack using you as his mouth piece to get whatever lame duck plan he has to destroy Waldorf" she said

"A lame duck plan that proves to mean something to you. So if you choose to be honest, that'll be great but it will come at the cost of April. Imagine what that'll do to her family legacy and her stature in the business community that she would lie to acquire an account" Ivy said as Blair thought to herself "You decide and let me know. I'll be sure to get that answer from you at the Waldorf press conference" she smiled as she got up to leave Blair deep in thought.

Opening the door to the house, Georgina breathed a sigh of relief to finally reach a stable point. Checking herself out early from the hospital, the last thing Georgina wanted to do was lay up in a bed and mourn the loss of something she had yet to wrap her own mind around. With rampant calls from her grandfather, the last thing she wanted to do was have an encounter with her grandfather to hear his lies as to what happened, when she knew the truth. Escaping to the old family house, where no one seemed to frequent due to the memories, Georgina knew she'd be safe in the comforts of home. Slowly making her way down the hall towards her bedroom, Georgina looked in each room as if that was a natural thing for her to do. Surprised to see Katie sitting on the bed in her room, Georgina stopped dead in her tracks as the sight of her sister only infuriated her.

"Oh, this is just rich" Georgina muttered to herself before she motioned to leave

"I hated living here" Katie quickly stated as she stared on at her room

"I'm sure you did. Now if you excuse me, I need to leave to be alone since that's a concept you don't seem to understand…" Georgina began to say

"You wouldn't understand. I knew you wouldn't, which is why I think we always missed each other in the key points where we could've made a difference in each other's lives" Katie said as got up to walk towards her mirror on the vanity "Every night, I used to sit here. Do you remember that?" she asked before looking over at Georgina

"Are you being serious? I'm not going to sit here and go down memory lane with you" Georgina replied angrily as a silence came between them as they looked on at each other. Georgina glared on at her sister to realize that she had a certain weakness in her that she had rarely seen but in the darkest of Katie's days.

"Georgy" Katie said with a pleading tone

"What do you want me to remember?" Georgina question "Remember how you use to sit in your perfect little vanity, staring at how perfection can be obtained with the good book? What do you want me to remember!? It's a little hard to remember with the present clouding anything I want to see in our past because even then, I loathed you" she stated before Katie turned back to the mirror

"Every night, by the time you were preparing to go to bed, I'd come in later. Tip toe because I somehow thought that would be better…" Katie said

"Tales of sneaking in, nothing new" Georgina replied

"I'd take my two hour showers. Scrubbing, nearly clawing away at my skin because I just felt so disgusted. It all felt so disgusting. Each time, I'd think that if I cleaned hard enough then I could clean it all away" Katie said as tears welled up in her eyes as she looked on at herself in the mirror, imaging that she was that girl again. Looking on at her sister, Georgina did her best to not get suckered in by her sister but with how lost Katie was getting in that moment, it was hard not to "Sitting here, it just felt like my punishment. I mean I used to literally sit here and think about how selfish I was, how crazy I was to believe that this wasn't my doing. I sat here, convincing myself that it was my fault and that….that it couldn't dare be the other way around" she said quickly backing away from the mirror as she began to yell at the reflection while Georgina continued to look on

"Okay, you're losing me here. What was your fault?" Georgina asked as she walked in, looking on at Katie through her reflection in the mirror

"That he was allowed to do what he did to me" Katie replied

"Who?" Georgina asked

"Our grandfather" Katie stated as tears streamed down her face while Georgina just looked on at her sister. Shaking her head, Georgina looked on to see the pain that was in Katie's face as felt like the truth she wanted to know about her sister was now coming to light in the worse possible way.

"No, it couldn't….he couldn't" Georgina said as she shook her head

"Bible studies every night. Hymn practice at his office at the church. What did you think that was?" Katie questioned

"I thought they were what they were" Georgina replied "Not…not that" she replied as she tried to process "I still can't, I won't. Not about our grandfather…."she said as she began to retreat down the hall while Katie quickly followed her sister, grabbing on to her arm to turn her around

"Look at me" Katie said as Georgina looked at her "I'm not lying. Not about this and not to you" she said wiping away tears "You have to believe me. Please, you have to. If there was ever a time I need you to trust me, it's now. Georgy, you have to believe me" she cried

[Flashback]

Sitting in the back of the church, Katie looked on at the front of the church for a while longer than normal. Torn between whether to pray or not, Katie felt herself truly conflicted to believe in her God that she was taught to believe in. With all that she knew and secretly carried, she questioned if her God even existed because if so, then why did he put her through this trial and tribulation that made her feel so cheapened. Over time, she had learned of the others, wishing that someone could speak up to what was going, give a voice to what she felt and was so torn about, that way she had some bit of a voice than what was taken from her. Hearing the rumblings of one that she had grown fond of, Katie had hopes that he would stand up to what was going on. Looking over to see Sage making his way down the aisle, Katie rose to her feet as he walked towards her.

"Did you tell?" Katie asked hesitantly after much checking to make sure that they were alone

"Not now" Sage replied as he quickly made his way out of the church while Katie couldn't help but see his robe tucked away in his bag

"Are you leaving?" Katie asked as she followed behind

"Yes" Sage replied

"Then what about…? What about the rest of us?" Katie questioned

"What about the rest of you?" Sage questioned in disbelief as they both looked on at each other with tears in their eyes "I can't think about the rest of you….I have to think about me….and I can't take this anymore. I have to go, I have to leave here as soon as possible" he said as Katie hung her head as all Sage could do was look on to see the girl break down in to tears "I'm sorry. You have to believe that, but….they'll never believe us. Not against him. They won't and us thinking they will only outcast us" he told

[End of Flashback]

Tears running down her face, Georgina ripped away from her sister's embrace as she began to pace the floor. Running her hand through her hair, Georgina thought back to their childhood together, recalling incidents where she just thought her sister was getting favoritism over her just because. Coming to a stop, Georgina found it hard to breath as the nightmare that was her family was slowly turning to monster in the form of one man. That one man that had been the helm of the family for so long, that one man that she had tried her hardest to appease and make proud of her since she could remember. Trying her hard to process this, Georgina just felt like all the wind had been knocked out of her; every bit of pain took on a new meaning.

"Let's say…let's say I believe you, what…why do what you've done?" Georgina questioned after a few moments

"I couldn't stay. Every day that I had to carry that around, it killed me. Knowing that I couldn't tell anyone, knowing that no one would believe me because he was some saint to everyone….I was already dead, I just figured I should make it official" Katie told her as her emotions we slowly coming together while she spoke through the tears "Mom and Dad, they knew…but they weren't sure enough to make that accusation. I thought, once they knew something would be done….but they continued the silence because they feared him. To think that our parent's, the people that are supposed to protect me, they couldn't even protect me….that was devastating. So I figured what good was living in the literal sense before contemplating the figurative. I couldn't be you Georgy, I couldn't go against the grain because he kept me in this box, he kept me how he liked me because he knew me well enough to know that no one suspect anything when it came to me" she explained

"Mom and Dad, they were devastated. Dad still is…." Georgina began to say

"I get that but it wasn't enough. When I needed them, they weren't there….and while I hate that I hurt them in all of this, I was dying. I was dying Georgy with little life in me. Every bit of strength I used to buck up and smile for those that expected of me. That night, my last night….that was the only time I felt alive. The day of my death, that was the day I lived for the first time in so many years" Katie said

"So this is whole vigilante mission, where does that come in to play?" Georgina asked after a few moments of silence

"Once we left Tijuana, I had taken time to get in treatment in some clinic off the coast. The doctors didn't ask many questions about me, I just presumed the identity of Catalina. It was there that I really had the time to access what happened to me, access how I felt about it…..it took me a long time, a lot of gut wrenching sessions to realize that what he did to me wasn't my fault. The more I stayed, the more my pain turned to anger, then from there it turned in to me demanding my voice. I wanted to hurt him, I wanted to take everything from him as he had done to me for so long. So I came up with this plan to find all of those that he had hurt, creating an army of voices, that way there was no way he could deny what he had done to all of us. I wanted to destroy him, and however ruthless I needed to be, I would do it" Katie told her "…so you see, I couldn't tell you because I knew you wouldn't understand then. But now that you see how he really is, the lengths he'll go to protect himself" she said

"….while I hate what's happened to you, I still…I don't forgive you" Georgina replied as Katie looked at her in disbelief "I can't forgive you for what you've done to me. Then and now. You slept with my boyfriend out of spite, to hurt me. You let me take the rap for so long about your murder, tarnishing my name, subjecting me to such ridicule. You made me the villain in your story, when all I ever wanted was to just understand my big sister. You pushed me away, you used me when convenient to your purpose of revenge" she exclaimed "I'm sorry for what you had to deal with. I truly am. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but….I can't just let you back in my life so easily as you want" she said as Katie broke down in to tears

"Then what? What do you want from me Georgy?!" Katie asked "…I admit, I got reckless. I have been reckless but if you felt how I've felt for so long…."she began to say

"I will never feel what you have felt, and for that I'm sorry. But you have made it a mission to destroy anyone in your path for years. You've betrayed your friends for the sake of this revenge you have on him. If you want to beat him, then you're going about him the wrong way because as far as I can see….he's still got power over you" Georgina replied

"No, he doesn't control me!" Katie yelled "I'm in control. I control everything, not him" she replied angrily

"All for the sake of going after him" Georgina replied simply "Your life is dedicated, the life you wanted, is dedicated to getting him. You know the sad part, he's won….and you can't even see that" she said as tears streamed for her face while Georgina shared in the emotion. Walking towards her sister, Georgina slowly wrapped her arms around her as they both cried for a few moments at the situation they both themselves in "I was always on your team. You just never saw that" she whispered to her "But now I have to choose myself in this….I love you…."she began to say

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Georgy. You have to believe me" Katie sobbed

"I love you. I'll always in some weird way, love you. But I can't be around you" Georgina said before she slowly let go of her embrace of her sister. Looking on at each other, Katie tried to think of any way possible to convince her sister but could see the finality in her sisters eyes

Opening up the fridge, Jenny let out a sigh as she reached forward to grab a red powerade out. Closing the fridge door, Jenny turned to head back towards the sofa just as Chuck made his way out of his room. Taking her seat, Jenny looked on to see Chuck dressed as if he was preparing for work. Looking on at each other in a few moments of silence, Chuck went to fastening his cufflinks while Jenny opened up her drink to take a sip out of it. The silence remaining, Jenny put her drink down as she just looked on at Chuck trying to motion his way through his clear frustrations of the situation at hand.

"You should probably leave. I have plans to leave early in the morning" Chuck said

"For where? For what?" Jenny asked

"Business" Chuck told her

"So soon, Chuck you're in no position to start pushing paperwork" Jenny said

"I'm in the perfect position to do so. I'm not gaining anything by sitting around and feeling sorry for myself. I have a life and I need to get back to it" Chuck said as Jenny got up from her seat

"Is it really that easy for you? To just move on to the next acquisition?" Jenny questioned "Chuck, you cared about Marley. You gave her something that she never had. It's okay to be upset and to….and to be upset, but you still have a chance" she said

"In what Jen?! What chance do I have? I'm going up against her mother, a crappy one, but her mother" Chuck stated

"Anything can happen in court" Jenny reasoned

"Oh spare me" Chuck replied "My past alone will make them think I'm just some rich kids thinking he's entitled" he said before a knock came to the door. Walking over towards the door, Chuck opened it up to see Jack standing on the other side.

"This explains so much" Jenny muttered to herself as Jack made his way in "Jack the original Basstard" she greeted

"Am I witnessing a mini reunion?" Jack asked with a smug smile

"Jenny was just leaving" Chuck replied

"Don't think I was" Jenny quickly replied "What is this? I thought you weren't interacting with him?" she asked

"Him, wow. You have clear disregard for my feelings" Jack laughed

"You have no feelings" Jenny replied "Chuck, explain this…" she began to say

"This is business. Jack and I are working together to handle Bass Industries affairs" Chuck replied

"You mean the company you walked away from?" Jenny questioned

"And the company that is conveniently been handed over to your brother" Chuck said

"I admit, that was….it was something that I didn't see coming…." Jenny began to say

"Yeah well, under his leadership he's managed to cost Bass Industries it's biggest acquisition and we need to find a way to get them back" Chuck told her

"You can't be serious?" Jenny questioned "Jack, your nephew lost someone that he cared about. He's clearly channeling his frustrations in to work. Tell me you have some capacity to understand this?!" she exclaimed

"What I understand is something you don't. Regardless of what Chuck is going through, he knows that family is here for him, his real family. If Bart and I can come together to realize that Bass Industries has to be top priority, then surely we all can gather around the prospect" Jack said "It's actually quite interesting that you're here" he then said

"How so?" Jenny asked sarcastically

"With all that's going on with your friend Blair, I mean she's made quite the name for herself and her family in the span of one day. The big Waldorf press conference…." Jack began to say

"All of which I know about and am happy for her" Jenny said

"You should be, but for how long? You know what they say, what comes up usually does tend to come down" Jack said as he and Jenny looked on at each other

"We should get going" Chuck said as he went to go grab his coat out of the closet while Jenny quickly walked over towards him

"With Jack? Really?" Jenny questioned in his a whisper

"It's a part of the business…" Chuck began to say as he put his coat

"Chuck, listen to me. I know this sucks right now but it will get better, we will find a way through this. You can get her back" Jenny told him before Chuck and her looked on at each other with little distance between them

"….there is no we, remember. We got the divorce and everything to prove that" Chuck told her

"Divorce or not….I'm here Chuck. I've been here….I'll always be here. There's a lot of things I'll always when it comes to you" Jenny replied as she looked him dead in the eyes, the tension building between them

"Things happen for a reason….we, just like Marley are just one of those scenarios" Chuck replied as he began to back away, leaving Jenny as she stood before he opened the door to leave

"That was sweet of you. Appealing to his softer side" Jack said as whispered in Jenny's ear

"Get off of me" Jenny said pushing Jack away

"Feisty" Jack laughed as the tension between them became evident "You should use that with your business partner, she'll need it" he said

"What the hell are you talking about?" Jenny asked as she looked at Jack in confusion

"For me to know, and you to soon find out" Jack smiled as he made his way out of the

Sitting at their table, Serena and Trip enjoyed a nice dinner for the most part. Making small talk here and there, but the dominant conversation being about Nate. Sipping on her glass of wine, Serena made it clear that her passions were in finding any means of help for Nate. Jotting down names of rehab centers that she had talked to during the day, Serena made this as active of a dinner as Trip had ever seen. Laughing to himself as he looked on at the blond, Trip couldn't help but notice another blond that was trying to get his attention out of the corner of his eye. Noticing that Trip was having across the room flirting session, Serena just rolled her eyes as she reached to take a sip from her water.

"You know, if you wanted to talk to her, you can" Serena said

"And let it be known to the public that I'm stepping out on you, never. That's your thing, remember" Trip teased "Did you add anything else to the list?" he asked

"No, I think I've over talked with centers. I don't want to spread the word too much or it'll seem like I'm trying to put his business out there" Serena sighed

"Which is something we should keep in mind" Trip replied

"Hopefully in the end he'll see that this is all for the best" Serena said "Things are stable now, but I can only feel like something else is coming with him" she said

"He will, you just can't worry about what he thinks" Trip said

"If you have that motto, then why haven't you strong armed him in to going?" Serena questioned as Trip became nervous

"…..it's taken me some time to admit that my cousin needs help, but now I just want to do all I can to help him" Trip said as he smiled weakly hoping that was enough to suffice for Serena

"Sort of feels like my own personal truth that I had to make with my father" Serena said as she laughed to herself

"What do you mean?" Trip asked

"You want to think highly of this person. You want to believe that they can't do any wrong or have done wrong, so when they do, you just can't accept it. You deny all you can, but in the end you have to realize that. For your own sake you have to realize it" Serena smiled weakly

"…..have you ever thought anything different about him?" Trip asked

"Yeah. I like to think now that he's out there, debating on whether to get in touch with me or not. He's scared for some reason but deep down he can't wait to see me and Eric. He's dreamed about us" Serena laughed "I know it sounds silly but it's truth" she laughed

"No, it's not silly" Trip replied "It's something that I didn't know you still thought about. I thought you just excepted how things were, given up the hope of finding your dad" he said

"I did, I mean it's obvious that I have. I just think I stopped my search because I didn't want to discover anything that I wasn't prepared to handle. To think or know that something has or had happened to him, I have to factor in telling Eric then dealing with it myself….and that's something I wasn't prepared to do" Serena told him "It's all quite depressing really

Getting out of the car, Sean held the phone up firmly to his ear as he did his best to get in touch with Tyler. Escaping from his own apartment, Sean only found that out after his own intrusion into Tyler's bedroom. Hoping that if he could annoy Tyler enough that he would have to reveal where he was, until then he figured he could go out and get something to eat from the only discreet restaurant. With the team losing in his absence, Sean feared that he would once again be the brunt of New Yorker hate but on the first bit of his journey he was on. Making his way into the restaurant, Sean quickly put his order in with the hostess before he turned to see Serena and Trip. Making eye contact with each other, Trip just laughed to himself in disbelief as Serena quickly got up from her seat to walk over towards him while Trip just looked on at the girl walk away. Heading out of the restaurant, Sean began to walk down the alley way while he could hear Serena running behind him.

"Sean! Sean! Sean!" Serena called out "Hey, stop" she said grabbing his arm to turn him around so that he could face her

"Why?!" Sean exclaimed "Why should I stop?" he questioned

"Because one, I didn't even know you were back in town. Two, because…..because I thought I'd know when it comes to things that involve you" Serena said

"I could say the same" Sean replied

"What Trip? Oh come on, I'm just having dinner with him!?" Serena replied

"Tonight you're having dinner with him, it's always something that involves this family" Sean replied angrily

"Not by choice" Serena replied

"It's all been by choice. You've had nothing but a choice" Sean told her "And now I see that I have to make mine" he told her as the silence came between, Serena torn in trying to find any way to get through to him.

"I'm yours. That hasn't and won't change. Things are difficult, I admit that but you have to believe that I'm fighting like hell to make things better for us…." Serena said

"It's not hard. It's only been hard because we have so many people standing in between what's supposed to matter, and that's us" Sean quickly replied

"….Blair's family is having some press conference, I'm planning to attend…." Serena began to say

"With Trip in tow? Public appearance thing, for the sake of the campaign?" Sean questioned as Serena just nodded

"I'm getting a room at the Astoria. Room 812. I want you to be there…..I want you in my bed again" Serena said as they looked on at each other for a few moments before she turned to leave

With a new day upon them, Dan felt as if he had to help the event planner with the final details. Since the big press conference was only hours away, Dan was put to work since the moment he stepped foot in the Waldorf penthouse. Making his way down the staircase of the Waldorf penthouse, Dan began to massage his head as another bout of migraines began to set in for him. Feeling the effects of the shooting still, Dan did his best to cope with the migraines on his own without warning Blair of them. Heading into the kitchen to grab a glass of water to take a migraine pill, Dan wasted no time in gulping down his pill along with his water. Putting the glass in the sink, Dan was caught off guard to see Blair making her way in to the kitchen.

"You're here early" Blair said as she walked over to give Dan a quick kiss

"I was at work and thought I'd offer up my services since I sort of put this whole thing in motion, never did I dream I would have to do so much around here" Dan laughed as he rested his hand on Blair's waist "How was your day?" he asked

"Good somewhat" Blair replied "Had to shuffle the press around that wanted exclusives. I had half the mind to direct all the calls towards you" she laughed as she took a seat on the bar stool

"I'm sure" Dan laughed "Are you excited about the big day?" he asked

"Excited, uh….I'm eager to get on with it. Let's say that" Blair smiled "I'm surprised you're not worried that this will take me away with crazy work hours?" she asked

"The thought crossed my mind but I figured since you've managed it so well thus far, it's worth the try" Dan said

"That's a refreshing way to see it" Blair smiled

"Besides, I don't think I'm in the position to really request you to not go after this" Dan said as he took beside her

"What do you mean? I would greatly value your opinion" Blair questioned

"No, I get that. I get all of this somehow. I know that you're a great businesswoman…and I also know that…." Dan began to say before he looked on at Blair as some part of him had this instinct inside of him guiding him "…it hurt you. Losing the company. It hurt you badly" he said as he stared her deep in the eyes as they both looked on at each other

"You must've talked with my dad. He has a tendency tell the tale of me too often" Blair laughed nervously, breaking the silence between them

"I didn't get it from your dad" Dan replied as Blair cut her laughter short "…I know it" he told her as Blair just kept her focus on him and before she could manage to say anything they were soon interrupted

"Ms. Waldorf, your stylist is here for your final touches" One of the staff members said as Dan slowly rose from his seat

"Uh, okay" Blair said "I'll be there in a moment" she said as she rose from her seat, realizing that her thoughts had gone rampant with ideas that were just crazy

"I have to go home to grab my suit, but I'll be back early for the photos and all that other stuff" Dan told her

"You know the drill, that's so sweet of you" Blair smiled before Dan leaned in to give her a quick kiss.

I've never seen a diamond in the flesh
I cut my teeth on
wedding rings in the movies
And I'm not proud of my address,
In the torn-up town, no post code envy

Dressed and ready to attend the Waldorf Conference, Ivy looked like nothing short of royalty. Making her way down the staircase, Ivy couldn't help but sport a smile on her face. Though Jack was away, Ivy was left with plenty to play with as he had promised her. Walking over towards the bar, Ivy poured herself a glass of vodka as Jack had done numerous times before. Sipping on her glass of vodka, Ivy pulled her phone out of her purse before sending her message on. With her smile remaining, Ivy dropped her phone back in her purse then proceeded to walk out the penthouse.

But every song's like gold teeth, grey goose, trippin' in the bathroom
Blood stains, ball gowns, trashin' the hotel room,
We don't care, we're driving Cadillacs in our dreams.
But everybody's like Cristal, Maybach, diamonds on your time piece.
Jet planes, islands, tigers on a gold leash.
We don't care, we aren't caught up in your love affair.

Looking through the videos, Tyler let out a groan as it all became so tedious. Stopping and starting. Rewinding and fast-forwarding. Searching for that theory that had come to him so early on that he nearly spent the day searching for. Feeling the vibrations of his cell phone, Tyler looked over at his phone to see that it was his father trying to locate his son. Knowing that tonight was a big night for their family, Tyler knew there was no way that he could avoid it. Making a quick copy of the video for his own use, Tyler moved discreetly as he sneaked out of the psychiatrist office.

And we'll never be royals (royals).
It don't run in our blood,
That kind of luxe just ain't for us.
We crave a different kind of buzz.
Let me be your ruler (ruler),
You can call me queen Bee
And baby I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule.
Let me live that fantasy.

With media out in full swing, Blair and Eleanor took on their own private interviews. Watching the women work their magic, Harold just stood off in the back, making sure that he wouldn't get in the way. Posing with each other, Blair could tell that her mother truly enjoyed this moment. Eleanor hadn't been one to love the spotlight after her recent medical issues, but now it was like she was truly coming back to enjoy the attention that the family as a whole was getting. Letting her mother take the interview questions as she excused herself, Blair walked off to make a phone call to Dan to see where he was.

My friends and I – we've cracked the code.
We count our dollars

on the train to the party.
And everyone who knows us knows that we're fine with this,
We didn't come from money.

Rushing out of the bedroom, Dan struggled to fasten his cufflinks. Walking throughout the house in search of his jacket, Dan nearly drove himself insane. Seeing and realizing that he had left his jacket on the ironing board, Dan rushed over to grab it and quickly put it on. Hearing a beeping sound come from his cell phone, Dan walked over, knowing that Blair was probably trying to figure out where he was. Seeing that he had just missed the call, Dan began to go to his calling screen before he realized that he had a message.

With the media beginning to salivate at the big announcement that pretty much everyone knew, Blair became even more concerned with Dan's whereabouts. Though she was worried, Blair found other distractions that kept her pretty comfortable or uncomfortable when it came to Ivy's presence. Making sure to keep It-Girl's presence big in the media, Blair made sure to plant It-Girl tidbits for all to know. Noticing her brother all by his lonesome, Blair let out a sigh as she knew she had to figure out where his head was at in all that was going on. Motioning him to meet her upstairs in her bedroom, the two met up in her room as he closed the door behind.

"Congrats are in order" Tyler said as he munched on his carrot sticks

"Thank you" Blair replied as she took a seat on the edge of her bed "Have you talked with Georgina?" she asked

"She called and left me a spirited message. She's left and is probably screwing a cabana boy" Tyler left as Blair sat in confusion

"That doesn't make sense" Blair replied

"It kind of does. I mean I'm glad she's okay. The whole cabana boy thing is a phase and I know soon enough she'll come back to New York" Tyler sighed

"No, I mean it doesn't make sense because Georgina isn't exactly ready to just screw cabana boys" Blair said as she looked at her brother "Ty, she…she can't exactly do that because…she's lost a child" she said as Tyler looked at her strangely

"How did she lose a child?" Tyler questioned "Did she help a child? Did she lose a child as in didn't keep track of them…."he began to say as he had trouble understanding

"During the shooting, Georgina saw that the gunmen had the gun pointed at you. She pushed you out of the way and the column fell on her…." Blair began to say as Tyler shook his head

"She saved me…she's the one that saved me" Tyler said in disbelief

"In doing that, she lost the baby. The baby that she was carrying" Blair told him as the clear frustration began to show

"How is there a child involved!? How?!" Tyler questioned angrily

"She had known for some time…." Blair began to say

"So what, she just reveals this to you?" Tyler asked

"….I knew" Blair reluctantly replied

"You knew? You knew she was pregnant….with my, my child. Was she pregnant with my baby?" Tyler questioned as he looked at Blair in disbelief, tears welling up in Blair's eyes as she looked at her brother

"She didn't want me to tell you…" Blair began to say

"Oh my God!" Tyler exclaimed as he brought his hands up to the sides of his head

"I couldn't tell you, she didn't want me to because she was scared then she wanted to tell you. I couldn't tell you" Blair reasoned

"I apparently have a child, a baby and you see fit to honor her wishes but not respect me enough to tell me!? I'm you're brother!" Tyler yelled

"I'm sorry. I couldn't risk Georgina doing something stupid" Blair said "I was trying to protect the baby, protect Georgina in some sense because she was just all over the place. She wasn't sure you'd even want to be a father let alone commit to her" she said

"No, don't pin this back on you being the odd person in between. You had numerous times to tell me that I was a father, which I had a child but you kept that from me. You made a decision to keep this from me!" Tyler yelled before the door quickly opened to reveal a concerned look on Harold's face

"What the hell is going on in here?!" Harold asked in confusion

"Nothing, just me getting the hell out of here" Tyler said before he quickly pushed past his father

Meanwhile…

Stepping off the elevator with a bottle of champagne in hand, Sean looked on nervously at the group that gathered in the Waldorf penthouse. Not one to buy in to politics so easily, Sean figured it was one of the things he'd have to budge on for this instance since his best friend was in the technical sense "a part of this world". Handing the bottle over to Dorota, who was about the only person he could recognize so easily out of the bunch. Knowing that he would soon see Serena, Sean couldn't help but process how he may act upon seeing her since he was sure Trip would be in tow. While Sean continued to over think, Sean quickly spotted Tyler in a head of steam coming down the staircase towards the elevator.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Sean asked as he quickly rushed over towards Tyler before he boarded the elevator

"Sean, get away" Tyler replied as Sean prevented the elevator from closing on him

"No, what's wrong?" Sean asked before he boarded the elevator

"It's Georgina, she's not picking up her phone. I'm trying to reach her and she's not picking up" Tyler replied as he dialed his phone feverishly

"Did you two get in to a fight?" Sean questioned once the elevator doors closed

"She'd have to pick up for us to fight" Tyler replied

"She's just upset, I wouldn't panic. You two will work this out, she's just panicking over the baby and then this whole cheating thing…." Sean said

"Wait, what? You know about the baby?" Tyler questioned

"Yes" Sean replied "….I assume she told you, right?" he asked

"No, my sister just told me as in now" Tyler said before he laughed in disbelief "But apparently you knew prior to me…."he began to say

"Because I figured it out with Georgina's demeanor. She didn't tell me, I guessed and just told me I was right….and maybe gave her pregnancy tip advice…." Sean began to say

"Do you not see how wrong this is?! How do others know besides me!? I'm the father, not you! How am I the last to know?!" Tyler yelled

"Calm down!" Sean told him

"No, I'm not calming down!?" Tyler replied "You should've told me. You should've came to me with your suspicions…."he began to say

"How was I supposed to come to you when you've been so preoccupied with this story. Every ounce of your attention has gone towards this story that no one could reach you. All the signs were in front of your face, you just didn't choose to see them because it didn't involve your story or should I say you're latest screw" Sean replied

"That's bullshit and you know it!" Tyler replied "I'm sorry that I care about my job and can't focus on a girl like you…"he began to say

"And here we go with the Serena stuff" Sean laughed "You can say whatever you want about my relationship but you do so because you're not capable of committing yourself to anyone. It's been years since the accident but you act like moving on from that date is just unthinkable…" he began to say before Tyler pushed him back towards the wall of the elevator, beginning a scuffle between the two inside. Pinning Tyler up against the wall with his forarm to the throat, Sean kept his pressure on him

"You have no right!" Tyler muttered as he continued to fight against Sean but to no avail

"I'm sorry for keeping it from you, but its what Georgina wanted" Sean said before he let go of his pressure on Tyler before Tyler once again shoved him. Tension rising between the two with the elevator ride not crossing their mind.

"So when were you going to tell me about Georgina losing the baby?" Tyler questioned with tears welling up in his eyes

"What are you talking about?" Sean replied

"Georgina lost the baby…..so now I know, and now another person to add to my body count of people lost" Tyler replied as they looked on at each other "Thanks….you really helped me out" he said sarcastically before the doors opened up and Tyler stepped off, leaving Sean surprised

Where were you when I needed a friend?
Thought I could be strong
Never knew I'd be so wrong
A heart-breaker most of my life
Suddenly all changed
The moment you left me
And walked out my life

Surveying the crowd to see that Dan had yet to make it, Blair couldn't help but get a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. Forcing the smile for the sake of the camera's, Blair could only trust that Dorota's earlier confirmation that Dan had been spotted and located at the townhouse. Preparing to take the podium, Blair kept her focus while her mine seemed to go everywhere. The sounds of clapping erupted, which was Blair's signal to take the podium. Giving her parents a quick kiss on the cheek, Blair smiled on at the audience that contained family and friends amongst the sea of media. Looking in the crowd to see Serena sitting along with Jenny, April, and Justine; Blair could only hope they could sense how nervous she was while out of the corner of her eye she saw Ivy with a smug smile.

"As you all may have heard, I'm nothing short of a Eleanor Waldorf clone" Blair begun her speech as everyone laughed at her opening statement "Well, it feels good to say that your company is back where it belongs mom

I tried to play cool
But instead I was playing myself
What you gotta know about me
Is that I'm dying in this lonely hell

Looking outside the window of the airplane, Chuck found some bit of comfort to know that he was thousands of feet up in the air from his problems. Feeling like escaping the Upper Eastside for the time being was his only source of relief, Chuck couldn't help but think back to Marley. It had killed him so much in an unexplainable way the pain he felt, it was a pain that didn't go so easily as he had hoped for it to. In some ways, it hurt more than losing his marriage as this felt like losing a piece of hope. Tearing his attention away from the window, Chuck looked on to see Jack making his way back to his seat with a strong drink in hand. Letting out a sigh, Chuck had to grin and bare the fact that his business partner for the time being would have to be his uncle.

"Drink?" Jack asked

"No" Chuck replied as he let out a sigh "So you have yet to catch me up to speed with why you chose to give me another shot?" he asked

"Your family. Do I like what you do sometimes, no. But you're my nephew, I have to look out for you" Jack replied

"That almost sounds as if you truly care" Chuck replied

"I do….sometimes" Jack replied "I'm not your enemy Chuck. I'm just the one guy trying to keep your focus on what your friends are trying to tear away from you" he said

"How so?" Chuck asked

"The Waldorf's somehow manage to conveniently pick up The Thorpe account. Nate is a continual cluster fuck of a failure, who's gayness has truly hindered him. Serena's pawned off an orphan on you while she prances about with the senator. Dan is somehow weaseled his way in to Bass Industries by the sake of your father. It's safe to say nephew, the world has come to an end….and it's times like these where family has to bond together" Jack replied as Chuck looked on him

"Let's leave Marley out of this. It wasn't a mistake…..it wasn't exactly the fairy tale ending, but it wasn't a mistake" Chuck replied after a few moments

"Fairy tales don't exist, it's a spin on the reality so that it sucks less" Jack replied as he finished up his drink "Besides, Yolanda was looking for a reason to cash in on her suspicions of you and Serena" he muttered as Chuck looked on at Jack skeptically

And I don't wanna be without you
Cause I can hardly breathe without you
This is what it feels to be the one

How did I become the wrong side of the love song?

Leaning back in his chair, Dan looked on in disbelief as he can only scroll through the images he was seeing. Staring on at the pictures, Dan felt as if he was hoping that the images would show something other than what he was seeing. Confused. Hoping as if it was his imagination making this up, Dan just couldn't believe it. Getting up from his chair abruptly, Dan immediately made his way out of the office as if he hoped that walking away from the situation would make things better for him.

Baby, I'm a mess
Out of every piece and part of me
You were always the best
But instead I was leaving you here alone
But I didn't mean it,
No, I didn't mean it
Now I'm begging, baby, come home

Making her way into the hotel room, Katie slammed the door shut as she rested up against the door. Taking deep breaths, Katie felt her heart race building up as the silence overwhelmed her. Everything that she had planned for had changed from a game she thought she was in control of, to a game that was out of control. Feeling the tension build as her past came rushing back to her. Being that little girl again, feeling as if she stood alone in a house of invincibility, Katie knew she was beginning to crumble. Throwing anything and everything within reach of her, Katie screamed as she launched each item across the room. Falling to her knees, Katie just stared aimlessly ahead.

[Flashback]

Hearing the sound of his zipper going up, it had become the signal to her that it was all over. Staring on at the flowered patterns on the sofa within his office, Katie slowly opened her eyes. Terrified as ever, Katie couldn't help but feel the grime that was on her body as she had every time it was over. Not willing to turn to face him, Katie did her best to adjust her clothes without turning but her trembling nervously had made it hard for her to do anything. Slowly rising, Katie remained with her back to him while the silence became evident to her. Terrifying her as to what he may do next.

"I trust…." George began to say as he saw that she was trembling uncontrollably "You did your service" he said as her head hung in a bit of shame

"Just make it stop. I won't say anything, just stop" Katie cried as George walked towards her. Seeing her break down in to tears, George slowly touched her hair while she quickly jumped at his touch

"My dear….telling would go against your sacred relationship with the man above" George said as Katie slowly looked at him in horror. Seeming as if he was possessed, truly believed what he was thinking "…..I am your God" he muttered as the horror of the moment only built up for Katie, realizing she was stuck in hell.

[End of Flashback]

On her knees, feeling helpless as she did for so many years. Katie said as she slowly laid on the floor. Looking on aimlessly, Katie could only blink as the mess surrounded her. Opening the door, Mac looked on in shock to see Katie down on the floor as she was. Rushing to her aid, Mac saw something he had never seen before with her. A tear rolling down her eye.

"I want it to stop. I just wanted it to stop" Katie muttered through the tears

"It will, it all will. We're close" Mac told her

"No, not that" Katie replied

"Then what?" Mac asked

"Him. I wanted him to stop. I begged. I pleaded. I just wanted it to stop" Katie said as Mac looked at her in disbelief as what he had known about her prior to today all began to make sense to him. Looking on at Mac to see that he was connecting the dots, Katie cries tore him out of his thought as he laid in front of her to face her.

"You can't go back now, and as far as I'm concerned…." Mac said as he tucked the hair behind her ear "I'm interested to see a fitting finale" he told her "No justice, no peace" he told her as Katie just nodded through the tears

And you got me singing why,
Why you wanna make me cry?
I'll be thinking 'bout you
Got me dreaming 'bout you
Every single day and night

Making her way into the house, Serena let out a sigh as she walked inside. Immediately taking her heels of, Serena continued her walk in to the living room to see her mother sitting in the living room. It had always been a pattern of her mother to have the occasional wine in the middle of the night, but to see her sitting in the midst of thought let Serena know that trouble was ahead for her mother. Taking a seat across from her mother, Lilly looked over at Serena with tears stains on her face.

"Mom, what's going on?" Serena asked after a few moments of silence "Don't give me the standard of what you want me to, tell me what I need to know" she said as Lilly slowly smiled on at Serena. Raising her hand, Lilly caressed her daughter's face

"I wish that I could" Lilly said "But you should know…there is always evil, when you keep evil around you" she said as Serena looked confused

"What does that mean?" Serena asked "…did Richard do something?...are you two having problems? What's going on?" she asked before Lilly rose from her seat

"This is when I tell you what I want you to know…..what you need to know, you may not understand" Lilly replied

"Mom, I've lived your numerous divorces. Nothing about this would be different. Just tell me?" Serena said "It's okay, we'll figure this out. I'm here to help you, you're my mother. I know that you have my best interest at heart and you need you to trust that I know that, but trust me to tell me" she said as Lilly caressed her face

"Serena, I haven't always been the greatest example of a mother to you. But now….I have to be your mother and in that, I have to do things to protect my family" Lilly told her

And I don't wanna be without you
Cause I can hardly breathe without you
This is what it feels to be the one
Who's standin' left behind
How did I become the wrong side of the love song?

Trying his best to get in touch with Tyler, Sean felt his guilt pile up with each moment he was unable to get ahold of his friend. Calling him so much that he was sure that Tyler had put his phone to voicemail because of the calls, Sean had finally come to the conclusion that he wouldn't be able to make things right as he had hoped with his best friend. Finding himself at the Astoria for no apparent reason but the fact she was the only person he could think to talk to, Sean took a leap of faith that one night could suffice the days of annoyance at the situation they were in. Stepping off the elevator, Sean looked for the room number 812 as she had told him before he began to knock on the door. Waiting for a few moments, Sean saw the door open up and like slow motion, Sean looked up to see Trip standing on the other side in just his boxers. Looking on to see a look of guilt on Trip's face while the pitter patter of feet running in the back, Sean could only see the blond hair as his determinant.

"….It just…it just happened" Trip reasoned before Sean fought the urge to punch Trip

"….it never just happens. It happens because it's been happening" Sean replied as he shook his head "Congrats, you got what you wanted. I'm done" he said as he began to walk away before he eventually boarded the elevator. Waiting for a moment to see that he was clearly gone, a smile quickly came to Trip's face before he turned to head back inside. Closing the door behind him, Trip couldn't help but celebrate to himself while his blond from the restaurant came out.

"Who was that?" The girl asked "Serena?" she asked nervously

"No, no. God no" Trip assured her "It was just a problem that I had to take care of" he told her as he smiled on at her once again

How, baby?
Wanna know why?
Can you tell me, why?

Talking with the investors, Blair did her best to keep her attention on their enthusiasm for her. With Waldorf Inc coming back under the Waldorf name again, it had thrusted the Waldorf's back in to the forefront of the business sector once again and possibly catapulting the family to it's higher pedestal of the Maxwell winners. Tearing herself away from the group of investors that were clamoring to work with her, Blair couldn't help but put her attention over towards Ivy. Knowing that the girls were in high alert over her sudden move towards Ivy, Blair couldn't wait any longer, not with Dan's no show being a cause for concern already. Both girls walking out to the balcony, all tension building between both of the girls.

"Okay, you've clearly come to destroy the moment. What are you up to?" Blair asked as she cut straight to the point

"What are you talking about?" Ivy asked with a bit of a smile

"Don't….don't play with me" Blair replied quickly as she stared Ivy down "What have you done?" she asked

"I did what should've been done" Ivy replied "While you're here soaking in the moment, Dan is taking in who you really are" she said as Blair's eyes began to well up

"What does that mean?!" Blair asked trying to keep her emotions in check

"It means that I win, you lose…." Ivy said

"Do you not understand that this doesn't make things better for him?" Blair questioned as tears welled up in her eyes

"You know why I kept this for as long as I did? Why I choose now to do this?" Ivy questioned

"Do I really have a choice in hearing this? I mean I'm sure you're going to spill this diabolical plan" Blair replied as she tried to keep her emotions together

"Because at the end of the day you suffer. From this moment on you suffer, from this moment on you realize that you will never have the life you once had…." Ivy began to say

"You know nothing about my life. You click on a webpage and think you do, but you don't" Blair replied

"You think because you have money that your better than me, well I have news for you, you're not. You may have more money, but you're not better and in this way, this form of torture is worth every second to come" Ivy said "You love him so much, which is sickening…but you'll never get the life you had back with him. The life of marriage and kids, the things that once made you nervous, now you'll never have it. I mean that's what the goal was, the purpose of fighting for him and getting him back; the hope that if you loved him enough, fought to show him that you're that girl for him, that it'd all just fall back in to place but it hasn't. It's months along and he still can't place you as the girl he wanted to marry. Dan, this Dan, is nowhere near marriage, let alone kids" she laughed to herself "…did you really think you could speed that up, speed up the maturity of a boy learning to be the man that he was?" she questioned as Blair glared on at her, trying not to give Ivy the satisfaction of seeing her break down "I gave you an ultimatum, a choice between friendship or love, and now….now you're on the clock. Now, I want to see how you weasel your way out of this. In the back of your mind, you'll always worry about his evolution in to this new man and if he'll still love you. That fear will never go away, and maybe that's why you went along with this plan of marriage. Maybe you thought by doing this some hope could come back as you being where you were supposed to be. I'm never going away. I'm his past. I'm going to remain in his present, and in due time….I'll be his future" she said before Blair quickly turned to leave, dashing through the crowd with little to no regard to the girl's attempt to catch up with her

Said that you'll be there for me
Said you'll care for me
So now you're gonna say goodbye

Sitting on the sofa, Tyler played with his hands nervously as he waited for her. Hoping that with each moment that passed that she would walk through the doors, Tyler slowly began to accept that she wasn't. Getting up from his seat, Tyler ran his hand through his hair as he let out a groan of frustration. So many questions circled around his head with no answers coming soon, Tyler could only feel as if this was his payback for the pain that he had caused her. Walking in to the bedroom, Tyler began to quickly strip the sheets off the bed as some form of vindication for his actions. Hoping that he could erase what he had done, Tyler threw the sheets to the floor before falling to the floor himself. Sitting with his knees brought up to his chest, Tyler let out a deep sigh before he couldn't help but notice the box that was poking out a bit from under the bed. Reaching under the bed, Tyler pulled the box out to open it up to see the print out of the ultrasound of the baby. Holding back the tears that wanted to come, Tyler sifted through the box to see a onesie that was folded up tightly with the price tag still attached. In just these items, Tyler could tell that in her own way if she felt the need to hide this, then he hadn't been paying attention enough to notice what she was keeping from him. Prepared to put the items back, Tyler looked on to see a picture of Georgina with another girl with a message saying 'My big sis and me' with the date stamp leading back to five years ago, which only drew skepticism from Tyler.

"…five years? Your sister died seven years prior…" Tyler said as he trailed off in thought before realizing "….you never killed her. Katie's alive" he concluded

And I don't wanna be without you
Cause I can hardly breathe without you
This is what it feels to be the one
Who's standin' left behind
How did I become the wrong side of the love song?

Making his way inside the house, George stood in the doorway for a few moments. Taking in the memories, George couldn't help but hate what the emotions were doing to him. Finding it strange that Georgina would choose to escape to the old house, George slowly began to understand that with the media, this house would be the only safe haven. Noticing that Georgina was sitting at the family dinner table, George walked over to join her at the table. Smiling on at her grandfather, Georgina portrayed the dutiful granddaughter as she had time before.

"I thought you would choose to remain in the hospital?" George asked

"My injuries were minor. I'm not one for hospitals, you should know that" Georgina replied

"Injuries such as? The hospital felt the need to conceal that information" George asked

"I asked them to. Placed a gag order on them. For the sake of privacy from the media. I figured if word gets out, I could at least make money off of it" Georgina replied "Have to admit that I expected to see you in my short stint" she said

"I would've come sooner if I had known fully. Names weren't released until later. Catalina had the decency to ask how you were and that's how I discovered" George said as Georgina laughed to herself

"That was sweet of her" Georgina sighed before George's phone began to vibrate

"And that would be Sophia" George sighed "I hate to run so early, but I…." he began to say

"I know. The royal family departure is upon you" Georgina said "I thank you for coming. I much rather prefer to be alone right now anyways" she smiled as she remained seated

"We'll be in touch" George said as he walked over to kiss her on the cheek

"We will" George replied before he left Georgina to her lonesome. Cringing at the thought of his touch, Georgina took a deep breath before her phone began to vibrate. Looking on to see that it was a call she was expecting, Georgina gingerly got up from her seat at the table before answering

"Hello" Yusef said on the other line

"So you're the infamous shooter. Have to say you left quite the handiwork" Georgina replied sarcastically

"Who is this?" Yusef asked

"The person that's going to fork over a lot of cash to bail you out" Georgina replied as she walked into the bedroom to grab the orange envelope that was in her personal belongings bag

"What do you want?" Yusef asked

"I bail you out in the morning. I'll send a car for you but you will be let out a mile away from a cabin that you will stay at. From that location, you will begin to leak stories to the press as to how George Sparks hired you kill whomever you were aiming for. You will then have a set of prints sent to you, you will place these prints in the destinations provided. Don't worry about money, I will give you want you need to survive" Georgina said

"And why would I do this?" Yusef asked

"Because I assure you, you're better off defending your life on the ground than in a prison cell, where I'm certain George will come after you. I'm protecting you" Georgina replied "So do you accept life or death?" she asked as a silence came on the other end

"I'll take it" Yusef replied

"Good, I knew you'd come around" Georgina replied before she quickly ended the call before she looked on at the very prints she had of her sister

Why, why?
Why!? Why?! Why?! Oh oh oh need you oh
I really, really need you now, I really really need you now
I really, really need you now, I really really need you now, boy
Oh, baby, oh, baby, please

Opening up the door to the townhouse, Blair was immediately met with the dimly lit room as she entered. Closing the door softly behind her, Blair looked over in to the living room to see Dan sitting on the sofa. Stopped securely in where she stood, Blair contemplated in her head as to what she could say first or what she could do to make things easier, but found there was no easy way in all of this. Getting up from his seat, Dan gave her all his attention as the two just looked on at each other, both accepting the tension between them. Taking a deep breath, Blair proceeded to walk forward as the distance shortened between them to where they could truly talk to each other.

"I know that tonight you didn't become of something that you received. I'm not going to waste time trying to defend what you may or may not believe to be the truth but just explain to you what's been going on with me." Blair said taking the lead on breaking the silence that was between them "I did what I did because I was getting my mother's company back. I did things to the means for my family, to send some proverbial message I guess. Georgina, Rayna, everyone; all were a part to getting my mother's company back. Each parts to getting the power back to Waldorf for the sake of the family. It was taken from me in the same fashion, so I took back what was rightfully mine. All of this is for my mother because she's my mom….I know that I can't let a company define her, but I love my mother. She's the woman that idolize and I owed this to her, I owed this to the legacy she wanted to leave me because now I get it. Now I understand that it's not about a company but what you want to leave your family to say this is what we did to leave our mark on this earth, on this planet and I'll be damn if I let Jack Bass of all people deter my mother's legacy from being anything other than great. This company, Waldorf, it means something to me, it's my family legacy. It's been a humbling experience to learn the art of business and to admit that I lost; I've worked my ass off since then, using that as motivation to know that when I was capable, I would go after Jack with everything in me to get back my mother's company. So I'm sorry for not telling you, but I'm not sorry for everything overall" she told him as Dan took a seat "I hope you can accept that" she said as the silence lingered for a few moments

"I get the family aspect, I really do. I'm just blown away at the lengths you've gone to, the lengths. If you go to this length, then I guess this isn't too far off from the realm of possibility" Dan replied as he grabbed a paper to show the receipt of a wedding dress purchased by Blair "A dress. Not just any dress, a wedding dress" he said as Blair grabbed the paper to look at

"….this I can't explain" Blair said as she let out a sigh

"Really? You can't explain why you're buying wedding dresses? Doing photo spreads with us as the featured couple? Us getting married? I mean I missed a huge step in all of this. What do you stand to gain in this?" Dan asked as he looked Blair dead in the eyes "What part of the business do I come in as?" he questioned as Blair stood speechless. Unsure of what do, unsure of how to respond as every emotion went racing through her mind.

[Flashback]

Staring on at Ivy, Blair wanted nothing more to strangle her. In this moment, in this present time, Blair stood powerless against Ivy. It was like she was enemy that had got power and was only growing stronger and stronger with all the information she had. Both girls, fighting for the prize that was Dan but with each their own motives. Trying to stay strong, Blair couldn't help but feel like Ivy was tearing away at a place in her heart that still felt so raw, so broken and mended together that bits of security she had done to keep it together but in this moment Ivy awoke the pain she kept so buried deep inside.

[End of flashback]

"…that's the part that I have to confess that….." Blair said as she trailed off in thought. Thinking about the newly awakened pain in her, Dan's reaction to it, and the ramification this could have on the girls. In that single moment, Blair knew what she had to do, she knew what she had to protect. "….you were a part of my plan. I set this whole thing up so I wouldn't be an embarrassment. Everything, I set up to trick you in to marrying me. I used you" she lied as tears welled up in her eyes, knowing the damage she had done to her relationship, but to her world.

Author's Note: To explain what happened in this chapter, Blair was blackmailed by Ivy with the truth. Ivy was going to expose the whole secret wedding plan to expose April because she'd have the most to lose as far as credibility in the business world, and remember she's trying to step out of her father's shadow, so that wouldn't bode well for her or her career. Blair stepped up to protect the girls as some other feelings are starting to resurface for Blair, realizing she's not happy at all when it comes to planning for this wedding. It goes beyond the lies, but what Blair's had to deal with in all of this craziness of dealing with Dan's amnesia and what they were supposed to be comes in to play.
