Chapter 25

"Are you sure this is the place?" Pāpuru asked, looking around them from the bed of the truck. "Positive, even though all these buildings are destroyed they are mainly abandoned, and Onmyō prefers it that way." The cat responded. "Are we talking about the same Onmyō here?" Pāpuru asked, looking at the cat. "In a way… yes, the very same Onmyō, just a different side of him…" The cat replied. "And how do you know all this? Hell, I've seen you around back when Onmyō used to be called Gin, in his house!" Pāpuru stated.

"That was me, but you should know that me and Onmyō are not exactly Otherselves, nor human…" The cat said. "Care to elaborate?" Pāpuru asked. "Maybe I can give you a demonstration… do you have any blankets though, I'm cold." The cat asked. "Uh… ok…" Pāpuru said before opening the slide window in the bed of the truck.

"Excuse us Saya, we just need to borrow this…" Pāpuru said as he reached inside the window and grabbed a large blanket on the seat behind Saya. "Here." Pāpuru said, closing the window and handing the blanket over to the cat, and got engulfed in it and couldn't be seen.

A bulge formed under the blanket and it grew before a human head popped out. The person grew into a full adult, a woman with long blonde hair, the blanket covered body.

"This is my human form…" The woman said. "Uh…" Pāpuru said. "What?" She asked. "I wasn't expecting that a cat could transform into such a busty girl…" Pāpuru said getting a look at the woman in front of her. "Hey, I didn't change just to you could get off on this dumbass! If I hear you make another comment about my body (depending on what you say about it), I may (or may not) hit you right in the groin." She said, holding up a fist. "Ok, I'll make sure that I don't do that again!" Pāpuru said.

"Besides, you're married, so you can't go making a move on someone like me." She said. "Eh, I can run up to the end of my chain and bark, so what is your name by the way?" Pāpuru asked. "You men… my name is, Wasure Rarete Ita." The woman said. "Well, I just want to say how beautiful you look, you actually look like you might be in your early 20's." Pāpuru said, getting a closer look at her.

She had long straight blonde hair that went down past her shoulders, hazel eyes, and she looked like she actually might have been in her early 20's.

"I'm actually older than your ancestor's oldest and first ancestor, but thank you." Wasure said. "Wow that must be pretty old…" Pāpuru said right before Wasure quickly turned to Pāpuru, giving him a death stare. "I-I mean that must be pretty old since… uh…" Pāpuru said, trying to figure something out. "Watch what you say next time…" Wasure said, showing a bit of aggression in her voice. "Yes mam!" Pāpuru said all tensed up. "No matter how old she is, I'd still think she might be the hottest woman I have ever met… Wonder if she's single…" He thought with a slight unnoticeable grin on his face.

The truck stopped in a slightly open area with a man in a cloak sitting in a stone chair. He looked up for a moment and changed his position so he was leaning forward with his arms resting on his legs. Everyone got out of the truck and Wasure tightened her makeshift robe and made her way to the man in the cloak.

"Who's she?" Saya asked Pāpuru as he leaned against the car. "That's Onmyō's cat, her name is Wasure Rarete Ita." Pāpuru answered. "THAT woman is Onmyō's cat?" Saya repeated. "Yep." Pāpuru calmly said. "Huh, not a surprise after learning that she could talk…" Saya said, watching Wasure walk up to the man in the cloak.

"Wasure… long time and no see…" The man in the cloak said before he was slapped by Wasure. "YOU DUMBASS!" She shouted. "I beg your pardon?" He asked, resetting back to his pose before he was slapped. "What do you mean, "I beg your pardon?" You are sitting here on this stone chair mopping around! We've got a job to do, people to kill!" Wasure said. "I'm done Wasure, I'm sick and tired of being… me. I just want to sit and do nothing; I'm tired of killing people." He said. "W-what?!" Wasure shouted. "You are Pyuayunibāsaru Chūsei! You are the most sadistic fucker I have ever met!" She shouted. "So…?" The man said.

"I didn't want to say this…" Wasure said with a sigh. "Say what?" The man asked. "She's dead, I know that you are Onmyō's other half, but you should get over it. Alright, you fucked up, you can't change a damn thing about it, but you have moved passed that shit before, now get your ass up!" Wasure shouted.

The man leaned back in his chair and thought for a moment. After a while, he gripped the end of his armrest and they cracked and broke off from under pressure.

"Look, if you just listen to us, we can end Katna and her reign today!" Saw said. "What makes you think I'll just… hand over my troops and let you in command?" The leader of the rebellion asked. "Because we know how to beat Katna, but we need you to cooperate with us!" Mato's mother said. "Look, this is a man's job; you go back and do your part with other women." The leader said waving them off as he looked at a giant map in the middle of the dimly lit room.

"That is sexist!" Mato's mother implied. "Yeah, but if I let you even so listen to you, you won't have any god damn idea what will happen if we follow you." The leader said. "Then maybe you should listen to another man." A voice said, coming down a flight of stairs to room everyone was in.

The cloaked man walked down and into the light where everybody could see him, behind him was Wasure in her human form, wearing military battle gear, and Saya.

"Who the hell are you?" The leader asked. "Listen to what those girls have to say, or I'll break your jaw like a fucking twig… mortal…" The cloaked man said. "What makes you think you have the power to threaten me? Arrest this man!" The leader commanded his troops, but they didn't move from there spot. "I said, arrest this man!" He commanded. "They won't listen to you, I already spread word around the camp about our idea, and they heard it through the radio while you were yelling your ass off. Sir, you have just been removed from power…" The man said before the soldiers shoved the previous leader down onto the ground. "I also think a jaw breaking is in order…" The cloaked man said before kicking the old leader in the jaw.

"Who are you?" Mato's mother asked. "I am Everything and Nothing, I am Everyone and No one, I am Everywhere and Nowhere; I am Pyuayunibāsaru Chūsei, but I go by Onmyō." The cloaked man said. "You're the other half of Onmyō, his Otherself…" Saw said. "No, there was no Otherself, only the side that only showed my pain and the side that was somewhat myself. Now… I'm back to normal…" Onmyō said.

"So what do we do now?" Saya asked. "Now… now we make some calls around the globe. We don't have all day people, get to work!" Onmyō shouted, making everyone start running around, getting them to work. Wasure walked up to Onmyō with a smile and hugged the tall man. "Welcome back… Onmyō…" She said with a warm smile. "It'll feel good to use you once more… Wasure…" Onmyō said, a smile on his face, before he gave a slight frown. "Though… this is only a one-shot chance, we can't screw up." Onmyō thought, knowing what his role was, but not liking it.

Katna sat in a large chair in a large dining room, eating alone at the head of the table. "I sent the CTF to take care of that traitor, I have Mato to blame for, I… killed Gin and didn't get his soul…" Katna thought as she chewed on her stake. "What exactly happened in that moment when he took the second half? Was that his full potential, it was rather beast like and didn't say anything good." Katna thought as she pulled out a pocket watch and looked at the time. "It's strange… the taste of Black Rock Shooter's insane soul was similar to the feeling that Gin let off when he had the upper hand." Katna thought as she put the watch away and cut another piece of her stake.

Before she got the piece to her mouth, the double doors to the side of the room opened with Mazenta in a royal military outfit that was magenta colored. Behind her was someone in a cloak.

"Mazenta, you know I don't like to be disturbed when I'm eating." Katna said. "Sorry my lady, but this man says he needs to speak to you and also has something of yours." Mazenta said with a bow before stepping out of the way for the cloaked man. "Really, who are you stranger?" Katna asked in a kind voice. "I shall leave you two alone." Mazenta said closing the doors behind her. "You might not recognize me on the spot…" The cloaked man said walking towards Katna.

"You're right about that, your voice does sound familiar in a way." Katna said, putting the piece of stake in her mouth. "Well you'll soon recognize me, but I'll let you know that I am not the same person." They said as they made their way to the table. "If you're here to kill me, I would advise you to rethink that idea." Katna said after swallowing.

The cloaked man pulled something out and stabbed it into the table. Katna looked up from her meal to see that it was her katana that she left in Black Rock Shooter; it had purple blood stains on it.

"I believe that is yours." The cloaked man said. "Who exactly are you?" Katna asked, narrowing her eyes. "I am…" The cloaked man said before removing the cloak. "…Onmyō." He said, wearing a black suit and white tie. "I thought I killed you." Katna said, not too surprised at seeing Onmyō. "What you killed was just someone that looked like me; I am the real one, the other half you could say." Onmyō said. "So there were two of you?" Katna asked. "Yes, though because my human half was different than me, like most Otherselves are. But when my human half died, I was freed to do whatever I wanted." Onmyō explained.

"So then, why are you here in front of me?" Katna asked. "Otherselves usually do the opposite of what their human counterparts did. Rock was a silent and brutal at everything, while Mato was talkative and kind to everyone she met." Onmyō explained. "So what's your point?" Katna asked. "My point…" Onmyō said before pulling Katna out of her seat and held her closely with his arm wrapped around the back of her waist. "… Is that I wanted to say, I love you." Onmyō said before kissing Katna on the lips.

After a while, Katna managed to break away from Onmyō, panting, sweating, and blushing.

"Are you alright, you're blushing." Onmyō asked, looking at Katna. "I-I'm fine… just startled from that…" She said, calming down. "You've been telling me that you love me several times before, and now you are suddenly acting up! Are you sure that you are alright?" Onmyō asked. "Perfectly fine…" She said, turning away. "I can't believe it! Gin is actually confessing his love to me! Does that mean he has a soul too?" Katna asked in her thoughts, giving a slight chuckle. "When we kissed, I felt that soul of his again, he does have one!" Katna thought before grinning.

"Hey, are you sure you're feeling ok?" Onmyō asked. "I'm fine Gin; I just had butterflies is all." Katna said, turning back around. "Please, call me Onmyō; I abandoned my old name a long time ago." Onmyō replied. "Ok, Onmyō…" Katna said with a giggle. "Since I confessed my love to you so suddenly, I bet you don't have my guest room ready or anything." Onmyō said. "You can sleep in the master bedroom if you want my love." Katna said smiling. "Isn't that your bed room?" Onmyō asked. "It is…" Katna replied, not seeing what was wrong with that. "As much as I would love to share the same bed with you, I am worried that the staff here will worry considering that I am a total stranger to them." Onmyō said. "Oh, well you do have a point there…" Katna said. "Did you even bring luggage?" Katna asked. "My love, I carry my weapons in a pocket dimension, of course I brought luggage." Onmyō said softly smiling.

"I see, I shall tell the servants to prepare a room for you. While I am doing that, take a look around the castle so you can get a good idea of where everything is." Katna said before strutting her way out of the room.

As soon as Katna left the room and the doors shut, his smile vanished in a heartbeat and was replaced with a grim expression. "I'll make sure my visit is long." Onmyō said, his voice cold in every aspect.
