AN: Enjoy and PLEASE REVIEW!
Jack's thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door. He looked up and found that he had slumped against the wall and now was sitting on the floor.
He slowly got up and stretched before opening the door.
Optimus Prime stood on the other side.
"Optimus? What can I do for you?" Asked Jack.
Optimus looked behind Jack into the empty room.
"Are you alright Jack?" Asked Optimus.
Jack sighed. "Just still getting used to everything as a giant robot."
A ghost of a smile passed over Optimus's lips.
"Very well Jack. I was just concerned, I saw you enter this empty room quite distressed."
"I'll be fine Optimus." Said Jack with a smile.
"…Very Well. Arcee has been looking for you, you might want to find her."
Jack perked up slightly at the mention of her name. He remembered the passionate kiss that she gave him.
And of course what she did in the medical berth that night while she was 'asleep'.
Yes, Jack did perk up slightly.
Jack's faceplates heated up slightly. He made his way past Optimus. "I-I'll go find her now."
Jack walked quickly down the hall and out of Optimus's sight.
Optimus stared at the direction Jack walked.
…
"What's the matter Miko?" Asked Bulkhead as he drove to the base from school. Bumblebee and Raf following them.
"Nothing." She sighed as she stared out of the window.
"Nothing?" Asked Bulkhead. "You've been acting like this since Jack…..uhh….off lined-"
"-Died Bulkhead…. Died." Interrupted Miko as she looked down at Bulkhead's dashboard
"Yeah…that. But he's back. Everything's good right?" Asked Bulkhead.
"Sheesh Bulkhead, you make it sound so normal. Jack's an Autobot now. A giant Robot!"
"Yeah…so?"
"SO?!" Said Miko with a raised voice.
"Envious?" Asked Bulkhead.
"I'm kind of surprised that you know that word Bulk." Miko joked but then smirked.
"Of course I'm envious! That's so cool!" She said as she stretched into Bulkhead's seat.
She then looked a little sad. "He gets to be with the person he loves… forever. Or at least for a long time. But I…"
Miko gasped slightly, a small blush on her face.
"Miko?"Asked Bulkhead.
"It's nothing." Said Miko.
Bulkhead remained silent for a few seconds. The dry desert as their only scenery.
"Do you like Jack?" Asked Bulkhead.
Miko's head perked up slightly in surprise. She then shook her head with a smile.
"Only as a friend Bulkhead….. But I do like someone else."
"Who? Someone at school? Raf?"
"N-No. None of those answers." Replied Miko shyly as she circled her index finger slowly on Bulkhead's leather seat.
"Well? Who is it-"
"Can we just forget I even brought this up?" Asked Miko as she looked away from Bulkhead's Dashboard in embarrassment.
"….Uh…Sure." He said.
…
The two Autobots and their Human Companions came into the base. Raf and Miko stepped out of Bumblebee and Bulkhead who then proceeded to transform.
"What's going on?" Asked Raf as he saw Ratchet preparing some strange machine on the medical berth.
"I am preparing a memory transfer procedure to Airachnid." Said Ratchet Simply.
"When's it going to happen?" Asked Miko.
"Sometime this evening if everything goes to plan." Said Ratchet, still concentrated on his work.
"Oh…well." Said Raf. "I'm going to go the roof. I've got an Art project that I need to do. I'll take inspiration on the landscape from up there." Said Raf as he made his way into the elevator with his backpack.
Ratchet grunted in acknowledgement. As did Bumblebee. "Call if you need anything." Said Bumblebee.
Raf nodded and pressed the elevator button.
…
Airachnid sat at the cliff's edge. Staring at her servos. Flexing them.
'I wonder if I looked any different back then.' She thought. She then looked down at her chest, abs and the rest of her frame.
"I'll know soon enough." She said with a downcast expression. "Why am I dreading this?" She whispered, tears brimming her optics.
She then heard a small noise and quickly pointed her blaster at the source.
Raf was sitting on his back, glasses about to slip from his nose with an expression of shock as he stared down Airachnid's blaster.
"Oh…" Said Airachnid. "It's only you."
Raf just nodded, face still in the same expression as he slowly got up and picked up his backpack.
"I-I just came up here to do my homework." Said Raf. "Art project."
"I have a question to ask you." Said Arachnid.
Raf looked up at her and sat down. "Shoot."
Airachnid looked at Raf with an optic brow raised. "…at you?"
"W-...nonono." Said Raf in a kind of frantic tone. "It's just a way we say to 'go ahead'."
"Oh…shame." Said Airachnid.
Raf's face went back to shock.
Airachnid's faceplates formed a small grin. "Just joking."
"Oh….." Said Raf. "Kinda hard to tell." He said.
"I'll take that as a compliment." Said Airachnid as she continued to look at the sunset.
Raf nodded before taking his notebook and colored pencils out of his backpack. "So uhh…" He began to say.
Airachnid looked at him out of the corner of her optic.
"…how do you like it here?" He asked.
Airachnid looked ahead again and sighed. "Despite being pathetic Autobots." She had a ghost of a smile on her faceplates. "It's been good."
"What about Jack?" Asked Raf as he sketched the horizon.
Airachnid jumped slightly at the mention of Jack. A warm fuzzy sensation filling her. She quickly looked at Raf.
"W-What? W-What about him?" Said Airachnid with a small frown. Unlike her blush. Which was huge.
"You like him don't you?" Said Raf as he continued to work.
Airachnid gritted her denta and shut her optics. "No. I do not 'like' him." She said.
Raf chuckled. "OH! Hey Jack!" Called out Raf.
Airachnids's optics shot open as she jumped slightly with a small yelp.
Raf was already on his back laughing.
Airachnid's optics darkened slightly. Her faceplates had a small angry pout. She knew she fell for that trick all on her own.
Raf wiped away a small tear from his eye. "Yeah….yeah you do." He then looked over at Airachnid. His smile fell.
Airachnid had tears falling from her optics. She mumbled something.
"…..What?" Asked Raf.
"I love him." Said Airachnid. "I don't like him. I love him." She whispered.
Raf was frozen.
"But he and Arcee…they already have each other."
Silence occurred.
Airachnid sighed. "I don't even know why I'm telling you this."
"I-it's okay." Said Raf. "I won't tell anyone."
Airachnid remained silent.
…
Arcee walked around the base, trying to find Jack. She wanted to apologize on her 'forward' behavior.
"Hey Ratchet." She said as she approached him.
Ratchet turned his helm at Arcee. "What is it?" He asked.
Arcee fidgeted slightly before asking. "Have you seen Jack?"
Ratchet noticed this and smiled inwardly. "He's probably talking with Optimus, I saw him going towards the back of the base. If you'll excuse me I have to finish the preparations for the memory synch of Airachnid."
Arcee's faceplates showed confusion. "Memory synch? She's going to do it?"
"Indeed. Now please, I need to work." Said Ratchet.
Arcee began to walk towards where Ratchet said that Jack would be.
"Oh and by the way." Said Ratchet. "Tell Jack that after the procedure with Airachnid, I'll help paint his frame."
Arcee nodded before continuing walking.
Ratchet sighed and went back to work before pausing and looking back at the direction in which Arcee left.
"Tailgate?" Asked Ratchet. "Arcee's old partner?"
"Yeah. Tell me about it." Said Jack in a somber tone. "Hopelessly ironic if you ask me."
"What happened?" Asked Ratchet.
"Between them?" Asked Jack.
Silence occurred before Jack scoffed in fake cheerfulness.
"They were Sparkmates."
Ratchet blinked before realizing that he had stopped working and was staring straight ahead.
He groaned and went back to work. He was almost done at that point and just preparing the final touches.
…
Airachnid continued chatting slightly with Raf. He was surprisingly smart for a person of his stature.
She asked a question about Earth, the humans, the Autobots. Jack. And Raf would try to answer in the best of his abilities. Which again surprisingly were quite high according to Airachnid.
A small beeping noise was heard. Airachnid opened her info screen on her arm.
"It's time." She said.
Airachnid got up and walked away without another word, leaving Raf staring after her.
…
Jack walked out of his quarters and began walking towards the command center, he then saw Arcee coming the other way. She quickly averted her gaze and slowly walked towards him.
"Uhh... Jack?" She asked.
"Yeah?" He said with a small smile.
Arcee fidgeted under his gaze. It felt good.
"I-I'm sorry about earlier. T-The kiss. I didn't want you to feel uncomfortab-mmmph"
Jack had placed his digit under her chin and turned her helm so he could kiss her.
He pulled away. "Arcee… Don't worry so much." Said Jack with a deep intoxicating voice. Surprising Arcee and even Jack.
Arcee suppressed a small shiver as her frame felt ultra sensitive.
Jack began to walk away. "Airachnid."
Arcee froze at the mention of her.
"She's going to do the Memory synch right now. I'm going to see if I can help in any way."
Jack looked back at Arcee. "I'd appreciate if you'd help as well, you never know."
Jack turned back around and kept on walking. "With her there might be more than meets the eye."
Jack stepped around the corner, leaving Arcee standing in the middle of the corridor. Her digits slightly touching her lips. Shuttered breath. Burning sensitive frame.
It felt good.
…
Jack, after stepping around the corner quickly felt really embarrassed.
Did he just hit on her?
He shook his helm and stretched his knee joints that now felt like rubber.
He took a deep breath and continued to walk towards the command center.
…
Optimus, also receiving the news walked towards the command center. He was curious to see what would happen. But also was there to see if something 'happens'.
He saw Airachnid laying on the medical berth, a large cable connected to her neck.
Optimus came over and looked down at her. "How are you doing?" He asked.
"Been better." Said Airachnid in a somber tone of voice.
"Airachnid. No matter what you did. You will not be cast away from here. You have become a member of the family." Optimus smiled.
Airachnid smiled slightly. "Thank you."
Jack walked up to her, Arcee tensed slightly at that.
"I hope you learn something about yourself Airachnid. I hope you become a better person because of it." Said Jack with a small smile.
Airachnid's spark began beating faster. "Thank you but…..I doubt it."
Jack squeezed Airachnid's shoulder slightly, avoiding as much of the mirrored surfaces as he could.
"You never know." He whispered.
Airachnid's shoulder felt warm after Jack's servo left it.
She smiled at Jack. Optics glittering slightly. "Thank you."
"Everybody." Said Ratchet. "It's time."
And with that, Airachnid was put into temporary stasis.
