Relatives
Marriage- you don't only marry the person you want to spend your toothless days with, but also marry their relatives too. A lesson I learnt the day my dearest was dozing off in white kimono and I was absorbing the invisible swords thrown at me.
Though I was born in one of the richest household of the country, my family has always been a nuclear one. We do have extended family scattered around the world, our bonds were never thick to begin with nor was my idiot father keen to keep them intact. After my over kindly mother left the world our ties with relatives became near extinct, limited to new year wishes and invitation card.
Yet I married into a household which considered 'family' the most important of all, love was thicker than blood for them. A family of scary men, adopted sons, god parents and no matriarch to control them for a long time. But now the female presence had blessed Monkey D Family with two kind women, yet the big brats were still idiots. Luffy's family tree was going stronger every day.
Yet I was looking at my little husband with big question mark hanging between us. The sky was pitch dark and hospital behind me silent while Sachi was dozing at the support of wall. It was not weekend, his exams were just over and there was a big grin plastered on Luffy's face. But the little-merry standing behind him was creeping me out, I should have never gifted him the car. After thirty hours of stand on duty my eyes could not absorb the shiny red and an odd pink inside the car. Something irritating was definitely on its way and heading towards me at the speed of light.
"Come on Traffy... get in the car" my husband pulled off my white apron and threw it towards Sachi reclining at the wall. "Where are we going?" I asked. "To a wedding" I did not receive any card in my name. "Who's wedding?" I tried to keep my eyes open and concentrate on the ball of energy walking ahead of me in pink and white strip summer coat. "Here he shoved a lavender coloured card on my face" Luffy gave a big smile. "It's not a April Fool joke right? This April was a terrible month Luffy" I mumbled as I read the card. "Are you fu... funnily kidding me?" I looked up to Luffy who was already walking back towards the car.
"Come on smarty pants get in the car" yes I hated this wedding already. "Why are you here too?" I tried to throw daggers at my father. "Well I am invited too. I am popular you see" my father smiled. "I don't want to go and Luffy—y.. Luffy" I mustered my courage. I mean look at me! I am afraid of a child no no no... A teenager ! "Why?" Luffy asked. "Our anniversary is nearing too" I spoke.
" Traffy, we will return home before our anniversary date." Luffy spoke. It was worth trying. "Okay" I began walking and asked for the keys. But I met with stern looks one from an extremely tall blonde and another from a shorty beside him. "You go sleep in the backseat" my father and Luffy spoke in unison. "Fine. I won't sleep" I entered the backseat with a huff. "Good luck son" my father smirked. As soon as the car began to move my body began to resist my attempt at staying awake and moments later my eyes betrayed me and I fell asleep.
"Good morning sunshine" the blonde shook me up from my deep sleep my father handed me a cup of warm water and toothbrush. "Get lost father-ya" I snatched the mug and toothbrush. "Aww... Luffy... your husband is mean to me" melodramatic fool would be compliment for my father as he tumbled towards Luffy who was sitting on a rock. I think after my mom's death his creepiness has increased by hundred folds. Were we three out camping? Was my first thought only to realise we were going to a wedding before I fell asleep. But once your sleep is poked no matter what one cannot get back to the senseless slumber one was in. I hate my father. I simply did, for poking my sleep. So yeah I was pissed. Badly, madly and sadly I dragged myself off and the sight knocked off my last traces of sleep as I brushed my mouth looking at the view in front of my eyes.
"Where on earth are we?" I yelled once my mouth was clean. "Oh we are going to the mountains Traffy" Luffy walked towards me. "I can only see wilderness love... And we are ON TOP OF A MOUNTAIN" yes I was freaking out. "Shishishi... this is just a hill. We are three hours away from the mountains" I had a thought I was not going to attend wedding but join some secret Ninja Village hidden in the mountains. "Relax, it's not a Ninja Village, its little different but a secret place too" wow really we had telepathic connection and what on earth did he mean by little different on top of that a secret place! "Luffy... love... what do you mean my different? And why did we stop on this empty mountain" I rushed after him. "Shishishishi you will see" he smiled. "Fufufufu.. you have more in-laws to make and we stopped here because Luffy was tired driving" my father spoke.
"I swear I will skin you alive one day Flamingo, how could you let him drive on hilly roads" I hissed. "Do not worry, I won't be handing the family pink coat to you Law" my father smiled, where was the question of heritage coming from here I wondered. "Good, Perona deserves to be family head" I nodded. "Oh no, Perona is not going to be family head. It's Luffy" my father gave a huge smile. Life is a bag of surprises sometimes small sometimes big, I happen to purchase a sack for myself. For once in my life I ask gods for something normal. Since the beginning of this year I have been getting blows and blows good and bad. But none was allowing me to stand on my feet. Today I simply quit to fate.
"I had decided it with Vergo, today I shall figure it out with Dragon, moreover you never showed any interest in family history and nor did I. Your Mom was the women of preservation. Sadly Perona did not inherit that trait either. Another reason to marry you to this adorable boy was because he cared. So it's obvious Luffy is heir to me and my estate" I decided to unheard every word and pull Luffy towards the car we better be done with this wedding soon.
Under the wooden temple a young priest sat in front of fire and chanted the words from the old pages of holy book to conduct the marriage I was bought to attend.
People marry primarily for security in life, some marry for money, some marry for fame, some marry to gain social status and some marry for love. While others to stamp their love and some hope to find love after they marry. But here our groom who stood in black tuxedo was marrying his bride to keep her out of prison.
Monkey D Garp was holding the hands of this huge woman whom I had mistaken for a man few hours before the ceremony began. Even for her age her dress was unusual. She was wearing a white shirt, cream coloured trousers and dark boots, her orange hair made into a bun with some wild flowers tucked in it. From far it would look like wedding of two ancient gay men. But it was not.
I was gaining a grandmother-in-law! I never had the pleasure to see any of my own grandparents. But now I was sure I was going to get threatened by another person, this person happened to raise Luffy for seven years was my new granny. My grandfather-in-law chose my little husband as his best man who was grinning at me happily.
And me! Right now I was sitting between two people who had potential to be psycho killers.
As the young priest read the scriptures my voice was somersaulting in the throat. "So Law, does this wedding remind you of your grand vow?" Ace spoke. "Of course he does Ace. He loves Luffy" Sabo spoke in a voice that was too sweet. "I do" I nodded my eyes fixed on Luffy. "On Lu's sixteenth birthday we saw him kiss you" Sabo patted my knee. "But we expect it to be limited to that one kiss okay Law" Ace placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Not possible" no point lying and I was not scared of them, I am rather irritated, frustrated and pissed with them. "What did you do?" Ace asked, his eyes fixed on Vivi the bridesmaid. "We are in God's house. I can't lie here. Luffy and I we may have done couple of things" I smirked. In God's house one cannot fight either. "What things?" Sabo asked. "Something between here and there" I mused. "And where shall that there be?" Ace spoke. "Three small pecks on lips, one long smooch " I turned my face around Ace and Sabo's nail dug in my knee. I refused to hiss in pain and kept my smile intact. "You..." Ace was fuming under the big smile he was flaunting to Garp who was looking at three of us. His eyes warned us, one small violent act and his fist of love would kill us. This was after all old dude's second marriage and his bride was no less scary to me either.
Something about this woman was kicking my brain. I had seen her, somewhere in the past she was connected to an important memory and I was unable to relate. But these mountains are very familiar to me. That orange haired ogress and I we have met somewhere. "Hey Sabo, have I met Granny before?" I asked Sabo ignoring his dragon claws on my knee. "Not that I remember, she refused to come to Luffy's wedding. She was against it" Sabo smirked. Another reason I should be careful of her. She was against our wedding! "Was there any person who was supportive of our wedding?" I mumbled and dropped my head.
"Luffy" Ace and Sabo lowered their head too.
"Meat.. Meat.. Koala..." Luffy was hanging on my shoulder and shouting over my neck. Meat was still my rival in the process to gain top position in Luffy's heart. "In a minute Lu" Koala was serving and Ace was helping her with plates. We were in Mountain Bandits Den. The place where my lovely little idiot husband was raised for seven years.
The whole gang of bandit were in blue turbans and white kaftans going 'Kampi-Kampi' every five seconds. Shanks was between them and leading the frog chorus. Lady Makino was sitting with my father-in-law and my blonde dad deep in some serious discussion evident from their brows. Vergo and Kalifa had joined the wedding celebration in the evening and were sitting at other end of table. Poor Kalifa was still disturbed about her unwanted betrayal. Vivi and Sabo sat beside us and few other people I was not aware of were enjoying the party in the open land on the mountain.
Under the moonlight we all sat and our food lay on the wooden table. A huge white cake sat at the center and various types of meat circled it. At right sat our Bride and Groom both having a serious drinking competition. "Garp you... bastard I won't lose" my granny-in-law banged her seventh mug on the table. "Call me hubby! I am your husband now and I won't lose to you meek woman" Garp burped with his seventh mug.
"Shut up I ain't weak" Dadan the grand old woman laughed. "That you are not" Garp nodded and both slammed their eighth mug together on the table. In background Shanks had began his drinking ballad and Magara was playing a mandolin and Dogra a mouth organ, these two men were granny's right and left hand man. I had a feeling we were suddenly transported to a scene from older times looking at Shanks. Soon Shanks pulled Makino out of the conversation and began dancing with her. Sabo took Vivi to dance and Ace and Koala cheered up but not for long. Dragon took his daughter-in-law from Ace to dance and Magara asked Kalifa to dance.
Luffy still oblivious to his surrounding kept eating. My hand rested on his waist and other on my cup of drink, I looked at these people so happy at the wedding of geezers, but they were throwing daggers at ours. I couldn't help but compare this simple wedding to ours. "You should know Traffy, I was willing to marry you without any grand celebration, it's you I married, stop worrying about them" Luffy spoke eyes fixed on meat and hands invisible to me. "I know love, but maybe we should have married when you were an adult. I mean we would have met and dated and your family would have been friendlier towards me" I spoke drinking from my mug.
"Bwahhhh" Luffy made a disgusting face. "My brothers would never accept any friends of mine! Trust me! They will never love you!" Luffy laughed. "You are very smart you know love. The more I look at you I think all this innocent face does is hide an farsighted mind" I pinched his nose. He smiled. Yes my calculation and prediction were correct my husband Monkey D Luffy was not so oblivious to his surrounding like he projects himself to be. My life's biggest mystery- my little husband.
Next moment I was off the table and dancing with Luffy. Our hands connected and our legs randomly shaking. Shank's Ballad had somehow turned into something with faster beat and more funny lines. Magara and Kalifa came hoping to us and soon partners changed. Kalifa was holding my arms and dancing. "Law-kun, I am sorry" she spoke I could hear her sad voice despite the crowd going wild. "It's okay, you never wanted to hurt us. I trust you" I twirled her and she was snatched away by Dragon.
Vivi was now in my arms playing her legs out. We both laughed and kept following the pattern. After Vivi, a young mountain bandit was dancing with me, her blue turban now hanging loose. After Koala's turn, finally my Granny-in-law came in my arms. "Boy, I know you" Dadan mumbled. "Pleasure to meet you ma'am. I am Trafalgar Law your grandson-in-law" I spoke. "Your Luffy's wife?" Dadan hiccuped. She was drunk but not drunk enough to mistake my gender. "Yes" I nodded.
"Boy.. I wanted to kill you for marrying my lad. But I know you. You are a good girl" Dadan patted my back. "You know me?" I asked. "We met... we met... you were small, thirteen or twelve may be.." she ruffled my hair. "Time for wedding ceremony" my father yelled.
"I am too old and heavy for Garp's back, Don" Dadan grumbled. "Oye wifey, let me show you how my hips roll, lets break bed" Garp grin, this man was vulgar. "YEAHHHHH" the mountain bandits cheered him in unison. "I ain't wearing... SK-UUUU-RTTTT! Gethhh in my panties..." she was more vulgar than Garp.
In few moments Garp had picked up Dadan and was walking inside their bedroom. "I pray for the bed" I mumbled. "Party is over; let's head back to our nest" Magara spoke kicking passed out bandits. "Traffy... let's go" my husband jumped on my back. "Piggy ride your highness?" I asked. "Yosh" his legs coiled around my waist and hands hugged my body tight. And we were off to our room before brother duo recalled their youngest brother was married to a man.
"Oh no... you don't" Vivi pulled Ace from knocking the door. "But Vivi Lu..." Vivi glared and Ace bit his lips. "How old are you Ace? You are twelve years older than Luffy! I mean when we both were sixteen we were banging everywhere" Vivi hissed. "Ssshhh... Vivi, Luffy will hear it" Ace placed his palm on Vivi's lips. Vivi pulled Ace by the hem of his shirt inside their room. Once inside Vivi knocked Ace's thoughts off by slamming her lips on his.
"Here is a wife in her prime! You dare ruin my romantic mood! People fuck on wedding days! It's the day to be happy and make hot passionate love" Vivi slowly unbuttoned Ace's shirt whispering sweet nothings in his ears making Ace hard to think of Luffy. "Get over it Ace! Luffy is growing up! You saw your little brother kiss on his birthday! Stop it, you are scaring Law" Ace cupped Vivi's face.
"We will make hot passionate love, because Sabo is going to patrol in Luffy's room" Ace kissed Vivi bluntly and both fell on the bed. Vivi smirked. "What?" Ace asked. "Sorry... bro I am not patrolling let Luffy be" Sabo's voice came from other side of the wooden wall. "Stop talking... keep moving blondie" Koala hissed on other side as well.
"Now I have to hear them having sex?" Ace slammed his forehead on the pillow. "Or maybe we can make them hear our sweet moans" Vivi little pissed pulled Ace back to her lips from the pillow. "Bring it on" Sabo was laughing. "Game is on brother" Ace grinned.
I was pissed, pissed to death; I wanted to kill each one in this building except my husband. I could hear bed creaking loudly from north of this wooden house. That was where old geezers were. From south I could hear romantic songs, who would have known Shank's making love was a poetic journey. From west corner came noises like "Oh baby... Yes Ace.. keep going... No Sabo it's too slow Ride me..." those two idiots had made a championship out of sex. On east Kalifa was weeping in Vergo's arms as he rocked inside her body. Trust Vergo and he uses sympathy to earn his keep. And in center were we! Absorbing all the sounds without any partiality.
"Traffy, what are all these people doing?" Luffy curled up in my arms. "Having sex" I rubbed his back. "We won't have sex right?" Luffy looked at me. "Not yet" I nodded. "But I wanted to make those noises too and fight with them. It's like Ace and Sabo are competing. Vivi and Koala are shouting too" Luffy fumed his nose in anger. "Luffy sex is not a game!" I smacked his head. "But I promise one day we will make them suffer all these noises too" I smirked. "High five" Luffy raised his hand and I clapped him.
"Wanna go outside?" I asked Luffy. "Yes" Luffy jumped out of bed.
"What are you doing outside?" I asked two figures sitting in the dark and drinking beer. "Too much noise inside, your father and I, we thought to couple up and drink our woes out" Dragon and my father were sitting by the small bonfire on two wooden clamped chairs. "Yeah, we can't even compete! We are widowers!" my father was on the side of tipsy.
"Dad" Luffy broke from my embrace and walked towards Dragon. "Enjoyed the food?" Dragon smiled and took Luffy's palms in his. "Yosh, Fatheringo did you take your meds?" my husband glared at my father. "I did boy... I did" my father raised his beer bottle. "Oye answer him properly, what manners did you grow up with?" I scolded my drunk blonde father. "See I told you Dragon! He is sooooo grumpy! He gives the vibes of an eighty year old man" my father laughed.
Luffy sat on the ground beside Dragon's chair and I took my seat with him. "Hey Dad, do you miss mom?" Luffy asked. "Hell yeah, who won't miss that demoness!" Dragon laughed. "What was she like?" this was first time I saw Luffy openly talk about his mother.
"A typhoon of trouble! Just like you. Kind, trusting and carefree" Dragon ruffled Luffy's hair. "Shsishishi... sounds like my mom" Luffy laughed. "Your Mom was a great woman just like Baby. You could even mistake them for sisters. They each were one hell of lady we guys got lucky with" my father spoke. Only thing I loved about my father was his dedication to my dead mother. Though I called him stupid, foolish, irritating and what not he was good man. Even for his age he was damn good looking and fit to date women half his age. But he still loved my mom.
"Oye Birdy father-ya" I spoke with less spite. "It's no point lamenting. Go inside you will catch cold" I spoke. "You are hundred years too young to command me brat" yes clearly a drunk man. "Yeah yeah... you are complaining of back pain day and night! You go to spa and take pain killers to fix it. Staying out in cold is no good old boy" I spoke. "I should have made you study business! Not medicine! And its summer! It's not cold" drunk or not always argumentative. "We are on top of a mountain range" I spoke.
"Someone just dozed off" Dragon spoke to me. Luffy's head was resting on my lap, his lips open and spot was growing large with his drool on my trousers. "It's in their wildness that makes us calm and their calmness makes us restless Law" Dragon spoke. "Dragon-san, have I met new granny Dadan before?" I asked. "Not that I have any record. None in our family met you before the wedding except my father" my father-in-law spoke. "I just have feeling I met her and she seem to recognise me somehow" I mused.
"Fate works in mysterious ways" my father-in-law stretched his arms. "That it does, but did you dislike me too like Ace and Sabo do?" I slowly ran my fingers in Luffy's hair. "I never disliked you Law. I just was worried, you reminded me of my youthful days" now I was wondering if I should brood on this statement as compliment or not.
"Past will only tie you down boy, that child on your lap has my blood but his mother's spirit. Both Luna and Luffy are good judges of character. I trusted Luffy because he chose you. Yes I did not want to marry him early, he is the last gift of Luna to me" Dragon stood up pulling my father up from his sleepy position. Relations are strange things.
On breakfast table, I could see more or less ten people avoiding eyes with Luffy, my father, my father-in-law and me. One glance at Vivi and Koala's face, one could see the after sex glow. Makino was being more kind than she was and Shanks being overtly touchy was too much to handle. Kalifa kept pushing her glasses up her nose and Vergo maintained a stoic face with shades on! Garp and Dadan were shamelessly groping each other while they walked to eat with us. Ace and Sabo still indecisive about the winning position, they totally forgot about me I was glad though.
"Luffy you should have told me you were marrying this item, I would have come to bless you on wedding" Dadan spoke to my husband happily munching his food. "Aai...tooooldddhhh...youuuuhhh" he spoke something. "Don't talk with full mouth" I smacked his head.
"I told you! I was going to marry him" Luffy spoke. "Yes you did, but you forgot to mention it was the young doctor!" Dadan hissed. "You should have asked gramps" Luffy hissed back banging the fist on table. "Your jerk of a grandpa invited me to the wedding sixteen hours before the ceremony!" Dadan yelled. I had no idea what was going on, but it was about me I was assured. "I sent the invitation nineteen hours before" Garp grinned. "It's same, you did not want me to break the wedding, but you should have told me who the wife for Luffy was" I could see Dadan calling me Luffy's wife for rest of my life.
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"You haven't told him?" Dadan asked Luffy. I saw my little husband biting his lips and shook his head. "What?" I turned my upper body towards Luffy. "Love what are you guys talking about?" I asked.
"Welllllll..." he was looking at me. "Well?" now every eye was on Luffy. "Six years ago you came as a helping doctor in a travelling medical camp. Just below this mountain range! I was the only kid who was not afraid of you! You had no goatee or sideburns then! You even gave me a box of chocolates after you vaccinated me! You met Dadan and me six years back" he spoke.
"I knew it you were that woman!" I looked at Dadan. "But, wait, the child you bought was a girl" I looked at Dadan, now she was averting eyes. "Her name... was Lu...Lucy" I recall that innocent child with long hair in pink frock. She was unusually kind and fearless like certain someone beside me. "New Granny... who was that child?" I asked. "We may have raised Luffy in disguise of a girl" Dadan smiled. "Simply great! We are going Luffy" I pulled Luffy by his hand and I saw everyone in table laughing.
"Where are we going?" Luffy looked up. "Home! You have been raised by all sort of wrong people! Makino-san, you are not part of them though! You both stop laughing" I looked at Ace and Sabo suppressing their laughter. "We are going home! From now on! I won't hear anything about the way I raise my little husband from any of you ever! He has been living too crazy life" I made my point clear to all. "And you my love, we have to talk" with that my husband and I we were running down the mountain next minute.
"Traffy" our little merry was standing at the bottom of the hill. I was pissed, yes I was. I have met Luffy before and I had kept that memory of his as a girl! We both were now seated in the backseat me reclining and fuming. "You never told me! I mean that little girl... no that little kid was you! Dressed as girl" I grumbled. "I did not know I was being raised like a girl" that made sense he was easy to fool. "So you knew who I was when we married?" I asked. "Yup, as soon as I saw your picture I knew I would marry you. It's called True Love!" Luffy spoke with pride.
"God! Why on earth are you like this! What if I was not me? Some look like of the guy in the medical camp?" I asked.
"Well I knew you, you were going to be nice! I knew it was you" this guy and his instincts. He climbed on my lap and brushed our noses. Instantly I held his waist pulling him closer to my chest. "You know Traffy, I could never forget your eyes!" Luffy spoke his lips moments away from mine. "Really? Sadly I recall a tiny brat in pink frock" I smirked. "I did not know it was frock! I thought it was big t-shirt" Luffy grumbled. "Because you are an idiot" I pulled his cheek.
"I want to kiss Traffy" he looked at me straight. "Who is stopping you?" I asked, Luffy's eyes grew large. "None" he softly placed his lips on corner of mine and moved slowly to couple his with mine completely. I returned the kiss with gentle force and he brushed my lips with his tongue. A fast learner he always was. I opened my mouth to let him enter. Hesitant, confused he entered between my lips. I peeked at him his eyes shut close, cheeks on flame and the chest above mine beating fast. I moved my tongue and soon we were playing. Luffy tried to tease my tongue I let him and I could feel heat rising inside me.
I untangled Luffy, legs on my lap and we both fell on the seat. Luffy beneath me and I above him. I pulled away from the kiss on lips and kissed his exposed neck. His neck smooth and burning under my lips. "Traffy it tickles" Luffy laughed. I lazily kissed his neck, sucking lightly and nibbling the skin with my teeth. Luffy under me shivered. I returned to his lip's my hands firm on his waist and my passion making a puddle out of him. Once slow, next moment hard, we were drinking each other out of life force. I was ravaging his mouth. My locked up passions were strong, if I let loose now. Everything I have had done so far to keep Luffy innocent would go in vain.
I pulled back. Luffy beneath me panting, his pupils diluted, lips swollen- a wonderful masterpiece in making. But I would finish it later. "Not today" I pulled Luffy up.
"I want to do more! I want to make noise like Oh... Traffy... yes yes... aahhh.. ahhhh" Luff was shouting with eyes closed, where on earth did he pick up that from. "Stop it you idiot! Where did you learn this obscene thing?" I placed my hands on his mouth. "I figured now what Zoro and Robin did back home! And I heard Vivi and Koala making same noise last night" heavy eyelids fluttered.
"You are not a girl and enough, when time comes I will make you sing" I bonked his head. "Hehe and Traffy your goatee tickles" Luffy rubbed my chin. "By the way, on our wedding night, you asked me what I did for a living. Was that a lie?" I had to ask though Luffy was incapable of lying.
"No,,, I just assumed with all tattoos and your look, you were some samurai and gave up medical studies. You wore a Dragon motif kimono on wedding too! You looked like some gang leader" great I knew that day I looked scary. But gang leader was simply wow. "Why did you marry me? Please tell me" I asked. "You are kind, I love your eyes, but mostly you are like dad! You are cool like dad and you have tattoos too" that was a compliment to be compared to Dragon.
"But I wanted to cheer Traffy up, your eyes were so sad the first time I met. I wanted to make you happy always, like I made you smile in medical camp six years ago" my husband smiled. My eyes were dropping tears "I love you Luffy! You idiot kid you will be the death of me. I will always love you." I sobbed. Luffy slammed our lips together and I was sure I saw his camera phone click a snap of us.
And a week later on our anniversary night all my attempts to keep the pious pure were crashing down before my eyes. "Traffy... my family jewels are feeling hot" my husband sat on our bed, eyes wide staring at me for help, cheeks fired up, fingers clenching the sheets, legs apart and his boxers tracing out a noticeable bump between them. Luffy had his first turn on!

Did you like this chapter? Tell tell tell... Yup Garp and Dadan got married! Sorry I can't help but marry characters off! I mean how many weddings have I done in fanfiction, more than three I guess? My first long fiction here was thirty chapters long about a marriage! But when marriages happen in this reality beyond words and in flesh and blood, I fucking hate them.
Next chapter will be interesting, but it won't come before 12th June. My exam ends on that day after that I may take a short trip to hills. So I may be late. Still by 20th june I should give one.
