Through the night I kept tossing and turning. I could not get comfortable and this nagging feeling out of my stomach. I can't be pregnant, I'm dhampir, and I haven't had any symptoms. I just don't know what to think; maybe it's Lissa that's pregnant.

I looked at the clock and it read 7 am. I looked over to my side and Dimitri was sound asleep. His face calm and perfect. Deciding I should get up I tried to sneak over him, but he is a light sleeper. Dimitri grabbed a hold of my hips.

"Where do you think you're going?" He said looking at me with a smile.

"I'm going to get into the shower, wanna join?" I gave him a sly smile.

"If only, Roza. Why are you getting up so early?"

"I can't sleep, and I don't know what time Yeva wants to leave." I hadn't moved from on top of him, but Dimitri maneuvered into a sitting position with me still on his lap.

"Okay Roza, are you really okay? You kept moving around last night. You know Yeva likes to have fun when she does those readings." Concern was written all over his face.

"I dunno, Dimitri." I said getting off of him. "She's always been right with me, and I don't see why she would say what she did if she wasn't telling the truth."

"What did she say Roza?" He said standing up and cradling my face with his hands.

"I-I don't want to say." I said kind of worried.

"Roza, it's not going to make it not come true if you tell me."

Just then the door opened.

"Roza, get ready we are leaving soon." Yeva said without knocking.

"Okay." With that I walked out to shower.

30 minutes later and Yeva and I were in a bigger town than Baia. Yeva and I didn't talk much in the car, I was too worried and nervous. Maybe she knew I had an idea of her reading. She would tell me where to turn and we got to the building she wanted to get to.

"What kind of building is this?" I said closing the door.

"Vracha."

"That sure helps a lot." I said walking. Yeva took my hand in hers and leading me inside.

It looked like a doctor's office, "Why are we in a doctor's office?" I said as she dragged me to the front desk. Her and the receptionist were talking with each other, when I nurse called me back. I was walking towards them when I noticed Yeva was coming with me. "You're coming in?"

"Yes. Now hurry." She said scooting me.

"Sleduyte za mnoy, pozhaluysta." The nurse told me.

"Uhh, Yeva?" I said looking for translation.

"Follow her." Yeva said to me. " She doesn't speak Russian." Yeva said loud enough for the nurse to hear.

"Oh, sorry. Sit on the patient table and I will take your vitals." The nurse said with a thick accent.

My vitals were fine and she handed me a cup, "Pee in this, write your name on the side and leave it on the counter with the other cups."

I hopped off the table and headed to the bathroom. At least the signs were the same in Russia for ladies room. I got into the bathroom, and locked the door behind me. I think I'm too nervous to pee. Sitting on the toilet I don't feel the need to pee. After 5 minutes I got some pee out. I hope it was enough. I walked back to my room and sat on the table.

I looked at Yeva and said "I know why you have me here."

"You do?"

"Yes, but it's not possible."

"Yes it could be. You have both been healed and brought back."

"I don't know…" I said biting my lip. "Why have you been so nice since we've been here?" I was curious.

"Because you are family, and you have proven yourself to me. You are worthy of my grandson's love. And I see how much you both love each other."

That made me feel tingly inside. "Thank you, Yeva. I-" That's when the doctor came in.

"Hello, Rosemarie, I'm Dr. Kozlova." She said shaking my hand and giving me a warm smile.

"Hi, nice to meet you." I said returning the smile.

"So I understand you are here today for a pregnancy test." She was looking at her patient board.

"Uhm, I-" I said looking at Yeva, I was, but I was embarrassed to admit it.

"Yes she is." Yeva said smugly.

"Okay, so we are waiting for the test to develop. But I have a few questions for you."

"Okay, shoot."

"When was your last period?"

And that's when a whole string of personal questions were asked and made me feel uncomfortable.

There was a knock on the door and a nurse came in with the pregnancy stick in a bag. The doctor looked at the stick with a straight face. She wasn't smiling so that had to mean I wasn't. "Ms. Hathaway, it looks like you are expecting." She finally got a smile on her face and Yeva all but popped out of her seat. I was frozen. WHAT?! How?! Well, I know how, but WHAT?!

"Are you okay Ms. Hathaway?" Dr. Kozlova said with concern.

"I-uh..Yeah, I don't see how that's possible though."

"Why do you say that?"

"Because the only person I've been with is dhampir." I said meeting her eyes, and she looked at me like I was lying.

Yeva interjected right away, "Roza is Shadow-Kissed and my grandson was brought back from being a strigoi."

Dr. Kozlova looked like the wheels were turning in her head. "I will need blood samples and a DNA sample. Maybe being Shadow-Kissed has altered her DNA.

They drew like 8 vials of blood; I swear I'm going to be bled out. Then they led Yeva and I to a room with a computer screen.

"Ms. Hathaway I will need to undress your lower area and put this sheet over."

"Why?"

"Because you aren't far along enough in pregnancy to do a regular ultrasound. So we will put this up there." She said pointing to my nether region. Yikes.

It wasn't so bad; she used a lot of lube. I could feel her moving it around looking for the baby.

"There we go. Do you hear that whooshing sound?"

"Yeah, what is that?"

"That's the heartbeat." She said with a smile. Yeva grabbed my hand and smiled at me. There is a baby in there?! I felt a smile plastered on my face. That is mine and Dimitri's baby inside of me!

"See that little bean right here?" She pointed to the screen. "That's the baby. You're not very far along. Maybe 8 weeks."

"7 weeks?" We haven't been together that long!

"The computer looks at the size of the fetus and calculates it. Generally we count conception as 4 weeks. So technically you're only 3 weeks pregnant."

She finished up the ultrasound and handed me a lot of pictures of the baby. I was already dying to see more of the baby inside. She said she would call me with the results of all the tests within this week.

Now to figure out how to break this amazing news to Dimitri.

A/N: I know it was probably a slow chapter, but in every Rose baby story it always bugged me that it was never accurate about the whole ultrasound thing. Getting that probe inside is awkward, and then when you have to have a full bladder for one is even worse! Haha. I hope I did okay. Thanks everyone!
