Lucy waited anxiously for her dad to arrive at the park. Her and Dean were both waiting on him so that they could all talk to each other. Lucy could tell that Dean didn't want to be there because his jaw was tight and he was looking off in the distance with a serious expression on his face. He hadn't said much the entire day either so that was also a sign.

"Dean, I know you don't want to be here…"

"You think?"

"But we have to talk to my dad."

"You know, I love you. And I love our child, too. If he has a problem with our relationship, then that's on him. I work my ass off to provide for you and Jason. Our bills are always paid, there's always food on our table, clothes on our backs, we have electricity, water, all of the damn essentials! I just bought our son some Jordan's yesterday! But apparently, according to your father, I ain't shit!"

"Calm down, Dean. Me, my mom, and my cousins are well aware that you take good care of me and Jason. Like you said, it's my dad who has the problem. You're not the problem."

"I know I'm not. He needs to hurry and get here so we can go home."

It was as if Mr. Smith heard what Dean had said because he pulled into the parking lot and got out of his car. He made his way towards them and hugged Lucy then gave Jason a kiss on his forehead. Jason had been asleep in his stroller the entire time. Mr. Smith sat down on the opposite side of the picnic table and nodded his head towards Dean.

"How are you, Dean?"

"I want to know why you put that random number in my phone and put it under a random name, called it, then got me in hot water with Lucy! She could've divorced me! But you don't care, huh? You don't give a damn about your daughter being happy. You've been giving us grief ever since we got together and I am sick and tired of it!"

"Dean!"

"No, he's right. And I am sorry."

"Why did you put the number into my phone? Why are you doing devious crap in general!?"

"I was acting like a kid. And for that, I'm sorry. And the reason why I've been acting out like this is because…well…I'm afraid of losing Lucy. I just want to remain close with my daughter. I already lost my other daughter."

"I assure you, Mr. Smith, Lucy is in good hands. I promised Thea I'd take care of Lucy before she passed away. I love Lucy with all of my heart and you know that. And I love our little Jason, too."

"I know you do. I'm sorry for putting you guys through hell. Can you two forgive me?"

Lucy looked at Dean who nodded his head.

"Yes."

Lucy looked back at her dad and smiled.

"Yes."

Mr. Smith smiled at the both of them.

"Thank you."

Dean got up and went to give Mr. Smith a hug. Lucy was happy that her husband and Mr. Smith finally made up after all of this time. Now, both Lucy and Dean could finally move forward with their lives. Lucy hugged her father and gave him a kiss then left the park with Dean and Jason.

Dean was in the kitchen making dinner when Lucy came in to join him. She took out some cake mix and begin to make some cupcakes for dessert.

"You know, I've been thinking," Dean said.

"About what?"

"Taking a break from boxing tournaments. Just sticking to running my gym and teaching classes there."

"Why do you want to take a break from going to boxing tournaments?"

"Just…don't want to do it anymore. I should just quit. I want to box in these tournaments but what if you don't want to go? What if you don't want to box in tournaments anymore yourself? Plus, let's say you stop boxing…I don't want to leave you and Jason here alone for too long. Or what if we both go off to a tournament and have to leave Jason behind because we may not be able to watch him? Some of these tournaments are a week long."

"I understand that. But Dean, you have to remember that I do have family here that can take care of Jason if we do leave. Boxing is your passion, you know that. Judging by the tone of your voice, you don't want to quit boxing but you are willing to give it up for your family. Well, I don't want you to give it up. And if Jason was a little bit older, I am sure he would tell you not to give it up either."

Dean placed a top on the pot on the stove and turned down the heat.

"I'm sure he would." Dean wrapped his arms around Lucy's waist and watched as she made the cupcakes. "You know, you actually have made running the gym even more fun each day. I'm glad you decided to walk into my gym. You could've walked into anyone else's gym."

"The name of the gym captured my attention the most. "Unstable Workouts". And boy is the owner unstable in his own right."

Dean playfully tickled Lucy's ribs and ran his hands down her curvy hips.

"I sure am. In the ring…" Dean kissed Lucy's shoulders then placed his hands on them. "And in bed, too." He ran his hands down Lucy's shoulders and smirked when she got a little tensed up.

"Dean, I can feel your dick getting hard on my ass. Wait until after dinner."

"And what if I can't wait for that long?"

"Jason needs to be asleep first."

"I'll wait. Lemme help you with these cupcakes. Rainbow cupcakes, huh?"

"Yup."

Dean scooped up some of the batter and put some of it in the muffin pan. He then put the pain in the oven and closed the door.

"The soup will be done soon," Dean said.

Lucy leaned against the counter and watched as Dean scratched his head then looked up at her.

"What?"

"Nothing. Just admiring how adorable you are."

"Why thank you."

"You're welcome. But on a serious note, I think you should attend another tournament."

"Really?"

"Yes really. There's one here in town so it's local. You don't have to go far."

"When did you find this out?"

"About an hour ago. Plus, that's how you make your extra money of course. And I'm sure you'd love to put some of that money in your savings and put some of that towards your gym."

"True. I'll look into more later on tonight. Tomorrow, I'm going to be teaching a class."

"Joanna and Cici are coming, too."

"You serious!?"

"Yes!"

"Only you would invite them." Dean laughed. "Nah, I'm kidding, I love Joanna and Cici."

"And you should love the fact that you should teach them boxing again! You did it before but it only lasted two minutes because you guys ended up play fighting with each other."

"True. Maybe it'll happen again."

"If it does and you guys hurt each other, that's on y'all."

"Jason might join in on the fun, too."

"Dean, no."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"Dammit, Dean!"

"Dammit, Lucille!"

Dean kissed Lucille's nose and gave her a chimpmunk smile.

"Imma get you," Lucy said.

"When it's time for bed, of course," Dean said, winking at Lucy.

Dean looked through his savings box to count how much money he had in it. He soon realized he was $400 short and begin to suspect Ray had something to do with it. Him and Ray had patched things up but Ray still had his moments. Dean was supposed to have $1,000 in his box but now he only had $600 now and begin to get agitated but quickly calmed down, locked the box, put it away, then left the office. After his class sessions today, he would definitely contact Ray about the situation immediately with hesitation.
