A/N: Thank you to those who reviewed last chapter I enjoyed reading what you had to say ;) I'll admit this is kind of a filler chapter, but I promise it will get better soon. Also the dates at the beginning of the chapter are important for the next couple of chapters.

Chapter 24
June 1914
"Hello, I'm looking for the Branwells," said a young man in the doorway.
Helen looked over and smiled before rushing over and giving him a hug. "Jules, I didn't know it was you."
"I wanted to keep it a secret," he replied with a grin.
"What's all the commotion," asked Charlotte as her and Henry came into the kitchen.
Julian got out of his sister's embrace and walked over to Charlotte. "I'm Julian Blackthorn, I was hired to work in the kitchen."
"Kitchen," said Cecily confused.
"Yes, Clary and Helen have been working overtime to keep up and with Lady Lily joining in September the Manor is going to be more than full," explained Henry.
Julian nodded. "I always helped Helen when I was younger, so when I saw the advertisement I applied."
"Clary and I are going to be staring luncheon soon. We can show you where everything is," said Helen and she drug Julian into the kitchen.
"William, do you mind if Julian sleeps in your room," asked Charlotte.
"No, but for a moment I thought he was a new chauffeur."
Charlotte put her hands on her tiny hips. "You know we're going to have to fill that role soon."
"I just don't want people to forget Jem."
"But it's not fair to you boys to shuffle the role around," pointed out Henry.
Will sighed and put his cigarette out. "I hate to tell you William, but we'll be getting a new chauffeur after Lord Alicante and Lady Lily get married," explained Charlotte.
She turned around and made her way to the office with Henry following close behind.
"If it makes you feel better I though he was a chauffeur too," added Sebastian.
Will leaned back in his chair. "Where's Jace?"
"Polishing the silver."
Will took a cigarette out and lit it. "Life was easier when James was still here."
Sebastian nodded. "But you can't reverse time."
Will put his cigarette out and stood up. "I need to go take care of Lord Ragnor's clothes. Tell me if Alec comes back."
"Will do."
Cecily leaned in closer to Sebastian. "My brother needs to be less gloomy."
He gave her a bewildered look. "What are you doing?"
"Trying to make some conversation. Isabelle's laying out Lady Catarina's outfit for dinner and Sophie and Aline are doing laundry. All I'm left with is this stubborn button I'm trying to sew back on and you for company."
"You Herondales jabber a lot."
"And you don't at all."
Sebastian pushed himself away from her. "I like to keep it that way. Why don't you go fawn over the new boy?"
Cecily tossed her hair. "Not my type."
Sebastian raised an eyebrow. "You have a type?"
She wrinkled her nose. "It isn't you, if you're wondering."
"Good, now move along."
Cecily tossed her raven locks and went back to the stubborn button on the sleeve of Tessa's blouse.

Alec sat down at the table, careful not to hit Clary as he sat down. "Who's the new kid?"
"I'm Julian, Helen's brother."
"He's pretty good in the kitchen too," added Clary.
Alec raised an eyebrow. "Kitchen."
Helen nodded and smiled. "Yes, he's helped so much. It's been a blessing."
"It's nice to know you've gotten along well, Julian," said Charlotte.
"It's been easy, you're all very accepting."
"We just want to make you apart of the family," said Cecily.
Will put an arm around his sister. "Just not enough to marry my sister."
Merry laughter rang around the table. "I heard that you're pregnant, Mrs. Branwell," said Julian.
"Please, you can call me Charlotte and yes I am."
Henry placed a hand on her belly. "And little Buford is going to be such a joy to raise."
"Darling, we don't know if it's a boy."
"Don't worry I have ideas if it's a girl."
"It would be so much fun to have a little girl in the household," said Isabelle.
"Not to mention that it might balance out all the men here," added Sophie.
Jace pouted. "Sophie, don't tell me you don't like us."
"I would never imply such a thing. It's just sometimes it would be nice to have more girls around."
"It will help when Lily moves in permanently. She'll be bringing a lady's maid," mentioned Cecily.
Will rolled his eyes. "Another wild lass to add to the bunch."
"I don't think these ladies can be wilder than you William," added Charlotte.
"I don't think they can either," he replied with a wink.
"It's nice to see you back, Will," whispered Alec.
He looked back over at Alec and smiled. "It's nice to be back."

Jace rolled over in his bed as he heard the door squeak open. Alec came in and he padded over to his bed. Jace sat up and looked at his best friend. "You used to be late coming in, sometimes I swear you didn't at all. Not that I'm complaining, that gave me some lovely opportunities, but what happened?"
Alec shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Jace smirked. "Is it girl troubles?"
"Stop it," said Alec harshly and he got in his bed and buried himself in his covers.
Jace blinked back the shock at Alec's outburst. "Sorry, didn't mean to hit a nerve there."
He rolled back over, wondering what had gotten Alec so upset.

A/N: And there's still trouble between Alec and Magnus. But I promise it won't stay this way!
