Previously in "Angel of Destiny", Sabrina tells her dad and her brothers and sister about her baby. She and Kol agree to help each other.

Chapter Twenty-Five

A Few Weeks Later – Mikaelson Mansion

"Have you given any more thought to what we talked about?" Kol asked his youngest sister.

"Kol, I have thought about it, and I think it would be awesome if we worked together," Sabrina replied with a grin as the pair danced around the ballroom in a circle.

Kol smiled at her. "I'd like that as well. I think we'd be a great team."

Sabrina nodded. "I think so too."

They made one more circle around the dance floor before she was snagged away by a man she had never seen before, and her brother was snagged by his wife. As Sabrina danced with the mysterious man, she felt shivers dance down her spine when she felt his gaze remain on her face. "You are a beautiful woman, Sabrina," the man said softly as he then twirled her away from him.

Sabrina blushed slightly, obviously not expecting this mysterious man to take an interest in her, especially not long after she had broken off her engagement to Victor. Although a bit gun-shy, she was curious about him. "Who are you?"

The man smiled at her. "My name, sweet lady, is Wyatt Jackson. I was invited here by your family. Though, I didn't expect to have my breath stolen away by your unbelievable beauty."

The young woman flushed a deep red once again then gasped when he twirled her back into him, feeling the arousal from below.

Wyatt saw that Sabrina was blushing again. "Don't be so embarrassed. I meant what I said."

Sabrina shook her head. "It's not that. I appreciate your kind words, but I just got out of a bad relationship and I wasn't really looking to jump into a new one."

"That's not as bad as it seems. I just came out of a marriage and I long for a friend before I jump into a new relationship. Maybe we can try being friends then?" Wyatt suggested as he twirled her out away from him once more.

Sabrina thought about it for a moment and then when she was facing him again, she said, "I think being friends is good for now."

"Good. I hope to see you again soon, Miss Sabrina," Wyatt said, spinning her out one more time before she was back in her oldest brother's arms.

Finn smiled at his sister. "I see you met Wyatt."

Sabrina nodded. "I have. He's a nice man. He got out of a marriage and isn't looking a relationship just yet. I agreed that we could be friends for now."

"We all want you to be happy, Sabrina," Finn told her as they moved around the ballroom as she and Kol had done earlier before she danced with Wyatt. "But, at the same time, I worry that Wyatt will walk away when he hears about the baby."

Sabrina bit her lip. "He won't. He's a good man, the kind of man that I would want to help me with the baby. When the time comes, I'll tell him the truth."

"Just promise me you'll be careful?" Finn asked softly as his lips kissed her forehead in a soft, affectionate and brotherly manner. Sabrina nodded then hugged him, watching him go back to where Sage stood once their dance was over.

Sabrina went outside to get some air. She was thinking about what Finn told her. Although she only knew him a few minutes, she had a feeling that Wyatt was the kind of man she could depend on.

A Few Days Later

Sabrina went to her first college class, after being dropped off by her niece, who was also in college. As she walked into the classroom, she saw a familiar face. "Wyatt? What are you doing here?"

Wyatt smiled at her. "I told you I'd see you again."

Sabrina smiled back and adjusted the back pack she carried on one shoulder. "You certainly did. Are you the professor here?" she asked.

"I'm actually only filling in for the regular professor while he recovers from falling off a ladder," Wyatt replied.

Sabrina smiled. "Well, I definitely wish you a lot of luck. I hear this class is brutal."

Wyatt laughed. "I'm a lot tougher than I look, trust me."

She laughed along with him. "Well, that's good. I'll see you around, Wyatt," she said before going to sit down in her regular seat.

Wyatt saw the rest of the class walking in, even though his attention wasn't on them at the moment. He was more focused on Sabrina. He couldn't get their meeting out of his head. It was though he had become addicted to her after a few minutes in her presence.

Later That Day

Sabrina eased into a seat across from or next to her sisters-in-law, mom and sister at the Mystic Grill. Rebekah looked at Sabrina. "How was your first day of university?"

"It was great," she replied. "And the young man I met, Wyatt, is subbing until the regular professor gets better."

Rebekah smiled. "I think he's only there because of you. He fancies you; I saw it in his eyes at the party."

"We'll see how it goes. We both agreed that we want friendship first and foremost," Sabrina replied.

Rebekah nodded and before she could say anything, Eleanor said, "Take as much time as you need, sweetie. The two of you got of relationships and you need to get to know each other first. There's no rush."

"Thanks, Mummy," Sabrina said with a grin, gently plucking her youngest nephew out of her older sister's arms and began bouncing him on her lap.

Eleanor smiled. "You're welcome. We want you to be happy, but at the same token, we also want you to take your time."

Sabrina nodded as she jiggled Vincent on her lap. "I'm excited that I'm starting my life over after what I went through, and I'm happy that I'm surrounded by such a loving, supporting family," she told all the women gathered around her.

Caroline smiled. "And you definitely need that, Sabrina. We're here for you all the way."

"Thanks, Care," she said with a grin.

Caroline smiled. "You're welcome. That's what family is about, after all."

"It truly is," Sabrina said. She sensed someone watching her and she turned around, smiling at Wyatt when she saw him outside the Grill.

Excusing herself from the other women, Sabrina walked over to Wyatt. "Hey, stranger; what brings you here?"

Wyatt returned her smile. "I heard that the food is good here, so I thought I'd check it out."

"You came to the right place," she said with a soft grin.

Wyatt smiled at her and then saw the other women at the table. "I wasn't interrupting anything, was I?"

Sabrina shook her head. "No, I was just having some dinner with my mother, sister, and sisters-in-law, as well as my nieces and nephews."

He nodded. "Do you think they'll mind if a gentleman joins them?"

"I don't think so," Sabrina said with another shake of her head. She bounced Vincent some more to keep his fussing down to a minimum.

Wyatt smiled at Vincent. "Hello there, little guy. Aren't you a handsome fellow?"

Sabrina blinked. "You like children?"

Wyatt nodded. "Oh, yes. As a matter of fact, I have two children of my own. A little girl named Alicia and a little boy named Eric. Alicia is five, and Eric is this little guy's age."

"Where is your wife or girlfriend, for that matter?" she asked.

"Sophia was killed just right after she gave birth to Eric," Wyatt replied with a sad smile.

Sabrina saw the sadness in his eyes. "I'm so sorry."

"Thank you, Sabrina," Wyatt said. "That means a lot."

"If you ever need any help with baby-sitters, let me know. My mum tells me I'm wonderful with children," Sabrina suggested.

Wyatt smiled at her suggestion. "I'd like that. I must warn you though; Alicia is a bit shy around new people, so you'll have to be patient with her."

"I'll work around that then. She'll be adjusting to me in no time," Sabrina said.

The Next Day

Little did Sabrina know that on her day off from classes what a bargain she would get when she first meets Alicia Jackson; it would be a treat for her. Eleanor noticed the smile on her daughter's face. "You're definitely happy today, love. Does it have anything to do with the young man from last night?"

"As a matter of fact, Mum, it has everything to do with him. I know we said that we'd only be friends, but he's the total opposite of Victor!" Sabrina said as the two of them sat beside each other at the nail salon.

"From the look on your face, he must be," Eleanor said. "Are you going to see him again?"

"He asked me to baby-sit for him," Sabrina said. "He has a little girl named Alicia, and a baby boy named Eric. He's been raising them on his own."

"I guess that should make things easier when you tell him about your baby."

"Do you really think he'll be okay with it after I tell him? I don't want to scare him away, Mum," Sabrina said softly.

Eleanor smiled at her. "Darling, he won't get scared away. He sounds like a good father, and that's the kind of man you want to raise your child."

"I'll talk to him later when I see him," Sabrina said as she resumed flipping through the People magazine in her lap.

Eleanor stole glances at her daughter, thinking about when she and Mikael met all those years ago. Sometimes Sabrina reminded her so much of a younger Mikael, when he wanted something so fiercely but then again she also saw some of herself in her only daughter.

Sabrina saw her mother looking at her and looked up from the magazine. "Yes, Mum? Is there something you needed?"

"No, I'm just admiring just how beautiful you've become," she replied. "It seems like only yesterday that I was holding you in my arms, and now, you're going to be a mother soon, and you're going to experience what I experienced."

"How excited were you when you found out about me and Olivier, Mum?" Sabrina asked with a soft smile.

"I was very excited," Eleanor said. "Finding out that I was having you and your brother was the best day of my life and your father's life. You were the products of the love we had for each other."

"I can't wait to tell my baby about what a blessing he or she is," Sabrina said.

Eleanor smiled at her. "You will, my love. One day, you'll be able to tell your child just how blessed you are to be his or her mother."

"I really hope so. Because I feel very blessed," Sabrina replied.

Eleanor gently hugged her. "Yes, just like I was blessed when I became your mother."

Meanwhile

"Father, can we go see Uncle Galen and Auntie Danni today?" Hannah asked her father. She had the day off from classes, since she had arranged her schedule to help with the twins when her dad and stepmother needed her.

"Of course, sweetheart," Kol said. "In fact, Galen and I were talking about that the other day. That man adores the hell out of you, Hannah. You're like another daughter to him."

"Well then, what are we waiting for?" Hannah said, tugging on his hand.

Kol laughed as she tugged on his hand. "All right, all right, darling, don't be so impatient. We're going." He grabbed the car keys with his free hand. "Can't very well get there unless I have keys, right?"

"Can I drive?" his older daughter asked.

Kol nodded and handed her the keys. "Here you go. You've proven to be a responsible driver, so I'll let you drive."

"Thanks, Daddy!" she said with a grin, rushing out to the car he drove.

Kol laughed and followed Hannah out to the car.

Over at the Vaughn House

Galen walked into the nursery where his twin toddlers were bouncing in their beds and grinned at his daughter, picking her up first. "Your favorite god-cousin is coming today, Emma lass," he said as he held her close to him, smiling as she snuggled up to him.

The doorbell rang and Galen smiled. "That must be her now."

Emma giggled and held on tight while watching her dad help her twin brother out of his bed before holding Daniel's hand so he could come with them.

When they got to the door, Galen opened it and saw Hannah standing there. "Hannah, my sweet lass, it's been a while since I last saw you."

Hannah smiled. "That's why I wanted to come over." She looked at little Emma then down at Daniel. "I especially want to see my little god-cousins."

"They were sure excited to see you," Galen said. Turning to Kol, he grinned at his future partner. "And how are you, Kol?"

Kol smiled. "Great. Alexia told me to tell you hello and that she's been looking forward to going shopping with Danni."

"Danni has as well. She's been putting ideas into my head all week," Galen said as she stepped aside, keeping a loose but still firm hand on Daniel's shoulder. "Please, won't you come in?"

Kol nodded. "Sure."

Galen let them in and then closed the door behind them. "Dada; let me down!" Emma demanded, wiggling in his arms. He chuckled then set her down, watching as she ran up to Hannah, hugging her around her legs.

Hannah laughed as Emma hugged her legs and knelt down to hug her. "Hello, Emma. Are you being a good girl for Mummy and Dada?"

"Dada took me to the zoo the other day, Han!" Emma said excitedly.

Hannah smiled. "He did? Did you have fun?"

Emma nodded. "Yeah, I saw all kinds of animals. My favorite is the tiger, because they have pretty stripes on their fur."

"What kind of sound does the tiger make?"

"They go 'roar'!" Emma said with a grin.

Hannah smiled. "Very good, Emma, they roar. Tigers are my favorite animals, because they're very majestic creatures."

"What's ma-majestic mean, Han?" Emma asked with a confused look.

Hannah smiled at her attempt to say the word. "Majestic means they're very important."

"Oh. They are that, right Dada?" Emma asked, turning to look at Galen.

Galen nodded. "Aye, they are."

Meanwhile

Lexi and Danni shared a laugh as the two of them moved from shop to shop in the mall. Danni calmed down and placed a gentle hand on the blonde's shoulder. "Oh, Lexi, this is great. I don't remember the last time we had a girls' day out like this."

"Probably not since before we were pregnant with both sets of twins," Lexi said with a smile. "We should definitely do this more often, as well as have some couples' nights out, with you & Galen and myself & Kol."

Danni nodded. "We should definitely tell our husbands when we get home."

Later

Danni and Lexi walked into a too-quiet house that belonged to Galen & Danni and the brunette peeked around the corner, finding their husbands both fast asleep on the couch, with Emma on Galen's chest and Daniel on Kol's.

Hannah walked in at that moment and saw their smiles. "I know, it's cute, isn't it?"

"Very cute," Danni agreed. "How long have they been asleep?"

"Around…two hours," Hannah estimated, counting on her fingers.

Lexi smiled. "Awe, they look so peaceful. I hate to wake them up."

"Too late," her husband's voice, quiet and hoarse from sleep, said as Kol sat up slowly, easing Daniel into the crook of his arm. On the other end, Galen also sat up, cradling Emma in his arms and walking over while rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

Danni smiled at them. "Hello, loves. Did you have a nice nap?"

Galen returned her smile. "Aye, lass, we did. We were just dreaming about you and Alexia." He looked at Kol. "Isn't that right, Kol?"

Kol nodded. "Yes, we were, and it came true, because you're here."

Lexi smirked then walked over and took Daniel out of his arms, rocking him and smiling down at the year old boy. "You have gotten so big, Daniel. You're almost as handsome as your daddy," she said, sending Galen a teasing grin.

Galen smirked at her. "Why, thank you, lass. I knew that my little man was going to inherit my genes." He looked at Danni. "And some from his beautiful mother, of course."

Danni blushed then giggled when Galen began to tickle her after embracing her gently, her laughter getting louder as he continued his tickling.

Kol noticed this and went over to Lexi, tickling her. Hannah took Daniel from her mother's arms so that she didn't accidentally drop him.

Author's Note: And here is a good place to stop for now. I hope you all remember that you're all a blessing to me, to give me as many reviews as I've gotten on this fan fiction. The next chapter…I don't know what it will entail, but I hope you like it!
