Thanks for the reviews, guys. I was sick today, so I decided to write. Enjoy.
Disclaimer: I own Makkenna
Makkenna's POV
All I could see when I woke up was light. My vision seemed to soon get clearer, much like a camera until I saw that I was looking straight at a light on the ceiling.
I could feel that I was laying in a bed.
A hospital? Hopefully they didn't try to get blood. That would be shocking when it came out a light blue.
I sat up slowly, feeling soon coming into my body when I did. I looked down, not surprised to see that I was correct, that wasn't a dream, the proof staring at me in the form of a Cybertronian arm.
It was very cool, I had to say. I was like terminator or something. Maybe like Will Smith's character in, i, Robot.
Sure, I was afraid. Afraid that I wouldn't have acceptance. Acceptance from my father (if he had made it), Bee, Sam, my Aunt and Uncle, especially since I had just gained it back.
I was more worried about Bee and Optimus, if he had been revived. I mean, I was like them, in a way. They could still call me a freak of their nature. Their nature being Cybertronian. I doubt that, though. Both of them went for a human. I was being paranoid.
I couldn't think about it more, for a man walked in. He was in his late thirties. He was wearing a doctor's uniform and he had sandy brown hair. His eyes were a bright blue. "Ratchet." I said. He looked at me.
"Yes. I see your finally awake. You've been out for two weeks. I decided your body would be taking a break to adjust to your new Cybertronian anatomy."
He knew. "I can-"
"Explain? Oh, please do." He requested, sitting down in a chair near the bed.
I explain to him about my vision, about who I met and what they said. My mom's story about Optimus being my father and Primus explaining my body.
He nodded. "Fascinating. I've never heard of a human and a Cybertronian until you and Bee. Optimus never mentioned it. But, why would he? I had no idea a human and one of our kind could even conceive. I wish I knew the science behind it."
"Where am I? What happened in Egypt?"
He sighed. "You were shot. A Decepticon shot you in the back as you were trying to get away from the explosions. You were thrown fifty feet. Your arm and leg we're broken, you were covered in gashes, one of your ribs were broken. It punctured you and you were blessing internally. You had no heartbeat, pulse and you were not breathing. I pronounced you dead on the spot. Bumblebee then found you and he was a wreck. He wouldn't believe you were dead. He kept telling you to wake up, he finally told you he loved you. You...you began to breath again, slightly, once he said this. Optimus was revived, he defeated the Fallen and the Decepticons dissapeared. We are in a tymporary base in Washington. Your in the med-bay."
I nodded. "That's good, you guys winning and all. What did Optimus and Bee say when they saw," I picked up my cyber arm and the pointed to my optics and chest. "this."
He licked his lips. "They haven't. Only I have, and Jolt. He is my medic assistant after all. He has been checking on you when I was stalling Bumblebee. You see, a day after you were here, your body began to rapidly heal itself. So much that I was bewildered. In one day, all of your injuries were as if they had not happened. I couldn't let Bee worry about that so I haven't let him come in here since. Soon after the healing, your heart rate began to be way to fast for a human, you see, a spark rate is ten times the rate of a human heart. I began to worry. I came in one morning and saw your arm like that. I opened your eye to see that it, well, wasn't an eye anymore. By yesterday, my scans proved what I had thought. You were turning into a Cybertronian. Your body had fully changed by yesterday afternoon. Your story just gave me a reason behind why it was happening."
"So, Bee doesn't know?"
"Nor do any of the others. Human or Autobot. I assumed you would have some sort of explanation, so I decided to it let them see until you woke up."
"Should I hide it?"
"Hide what?" He seemed confused.
"My body, it is built in with technology much like a Holoform. I can use synthetic skin and holograms to make my Cybertronian part human. You can still see the glow of my spark through my skin but, if Tony Stark can live with a circle of light in his chest, then so can I."
He smiled. "Can I see?"
I slowly let the disguise come over me. It really did seem natural, as if I'd done it all my life.
"You're eyes are a little brighter but other than that you look like you always have. Incredible." Ratchet admired. "You might as well go and get all of this over with. Go talk to Optimus."
I looked down at my now, two humans hands. "How? What do I say? What if he hates me."
"He used to beg for a child. A girl. He has that now. If he loved your mother, then he won't resent you. Just tell him the truth. Show him, even."
"Just come out with it?" I asked, reaffirming.
"Yes." He stared at me a moment and smiled. "Now that I look at you, and think about your traits, you remind me of him. And I don't me just by the looks of his Holoform."
"Thanks, I guess."
"Talk to Optimus, first, then Bee. Bee will probably need more time with the news."

I took Ratchet's suggestion and I snuck my way through the corridors to Optimus' temporary quarters. Luckily this base was huge and not many people were here to make sneaking any harder.
I would have hater to be caught by Bee or Jazz. Of course, I doubt Bee would be roaming the halls that much if he is as torn up at Ratchet explained when he gave me the locations to his and Optimus' rooms.
I made it to the room number Ratchet had given me. It must be right, the familiar Peterbilt was sitting outside the door. I finally got my wits and knocked, hoping his Holoform was in there, and I didn't interrupt.
The door opened. His Holoform greeting me with a smile. "Hello, Makkenna. How are you. You look much better. We were very worried."
I returned the smile the best I could, my legs were wobbly so I couldn't put much effort into it. "Thank you." My voice was also shaking, I noticed. "Can I come in?"
He stepped out if the way and held his hand out. "Anytime you need to talk. You should know that."
I walked in. This room was obviously this room he was given had been the office/quarters of a head in the military. Nice leather couches and chairs a nice desk was set up in the room. A door that led to a small bedroom was on one side and a bathroom was on the other side.
He sat down at the desk. "What did you want to talk about?"
I sat down in a chair in front of the desk. I opened my mouth multiple times to speak, to start the tale but as I stared at his expecting face, I couldn't. I wanted to cry. Out of nerves and out of happiness.
I finally had a dad. My real dad. The dad I thought died overseas in the military. He was here and now that I had the chance to have this, I was wussing out.
"Are you okay?" He finally asked, breaking the silence.
I sighed. "Do you remember Laura Valentine?"
His eyes grew huge, he even physically jolted back. "How do you know her?"
I swallowed. "She was my mother...and you you're my father."
"That's not possible. I'm not human, she wasn't Cybertronian. She was never pregnant."
"She was going to tell you but when she found out, you had to go back to Cybertron. She didn't want you feelings guilty about leaving."
He faint smile appeared on his face. "I felt guilty anyway. You look...just like her. This isn't the first time I noticed this, but your last name..."
"I was given her sister's last name. I guess to protect me." It all made sense. "I mean the 'Cons found her..."
"They are the reason why she..." He trailed off.
"Yeah."
I then began the story I told Ratchet, about my mom and Primus, leaving out only the part about my Cybertronian side. I planned on showing him.
He listened intently, nodding. I knew, though that he was the leader of the Autobots and he was too smart for me. "What about you? Were you not effected by my genetics?"
I nodded. I pulled my t-shirt down to reveal the circle of light. I then let my disguise disappear. "Primus had been keeping this side of myself from me and those around me until she had a good time to explain, which she did when I was asleep."
"I guess that proves it." He got up and walked around his desk to me. To say I was caught off guard when he wrapped his arms around me in a hug was would be an understatement. I hugged him back, though. I felt suddenly a jerk, in my chest, in my spark.
He must have noticed my body move because he pulled back. "I felt it too."
"What is it?"
"A bond. Not only spark mates have bonds. Bonds are between siblings and parents. Our bond was just formed."
I nodded. "I'm new to all this."
"You will learn. I make a promise to you. I haven't been here for you, as a father. I will be now, though. I feel bad enough, already and if you will allow it, I would love to make it up to you. I have never been a parent before but I am willing to try, no matter how late I am. You can even call me Dad." He added the last part with a small laugh, something I had never heard or seen him do.
"I would very much enjoy that, Dad." I answered, a smile coming to both of our faces.
We stood in comfortable silence for a moment until he spoke again. "Have you told Bumblebee?"
"I was planning on going their next."
"Good. He is not doing well."
"So, you approve? i mean, I am your daughter, he's a guy." I felt silly to ask this but the comedy of it was too much.
He laughed, really laughed this time. "Yes, of course. If I had to chose anyone, it would be him. If it were Sideswipe or someone, I'd have to think twice, but Bumblebee needs someone like you and you need someone like him. You both deserve what you have with each other. Thank you for asking my opinion."
I laughed. "Thank you and you're welcome. I'm gonna go talk to him." I let my disguise reappear before leaving to go to Bee's quarters.
I felt better about this situation after the talk with my dad but I still felt nervous telling Bee, probably more nervous than I felt talking to my dad.
I finally made it to the room number I was given. The Camaro sitting outside. The urge to run my hand across the hood was overpowering. I needed to see him, touch him. Even though I had been unconscious, I could still feel that we had been separated.
I knocked, immediately feeling weird. This was Bee, we normally just walk in. It felt strange to be so...formal. Was that the word?
I very muffled "come in." Was heard. It was Bee, but he sounded dead tired.
I slowly opened the door. He was looking down at a book. It looked like the Mortal Instruments. I had been told about this, apparently he had learned that he loved books and reading over my absence.
He dog eared a page, the cover showing me I was correct, and he threw the book aside. "What do you-" he looked up, his mouth falling open. He ran towards me, throwing his weight at me into a hug. My new strength as a Cybertronian keeping me balanced. I didn't even sway. I let myself wrap my arms around him. "Hey, Bee."
He let go. "Are you-"
"I'm fine, but we need to talk."
His face fell. "Alright." We went over to the bed he was sitting on when I walked in. I finally got a good look at him as we faced each other. He was tired, his hair was more unkept than usual, and his eyes were a grey/blue.
I don't know how you're gonna take this, but..." I looked down, deciding showing him would be better to lead with, then telling him. I let my disguises vanish again. It gave myself a moment of composure before I looked up for him to see my optics.
When we met eye to optic he was biting his bottom lip, his eyebrows were knitted together and his eyes were wide. "You're- how?"
I explained everything for the third time that day. Then I explained my conversation with Optimus. I finally ended.
It was quiet and I, to be honest, was afraid he wasn't going to ever speak. He finally did, however. "You're still my Makkenna. My Makkenna, just less fragile. If anything, I should be happy. We can...we can be together now. We'll never have to say goodbye because of age. We can bond one day, if you want to." His smile grew wider as he spoke.
"Thank you, but you're acceptance of me being Cybertronian wasn't my main concern. It was a concern, but..." It wasn't, really. It was a huge one and I was happy that he accepted me so quickly but, I don't look the same. I'm a freak. I never was pretty, but now I surely wasn't.
"What was your main concern then?"
I looked down. "Guys aren't necessarily lining up to date freaky half robot girls...if you didn't want to be with me because...I wouldn't blame you."
He grabbed my hand. my Cybertronian one, to be exact, then used his other hand to bring me face up to look at him. He smiled. "You're beautiful inside and out. All human or half human. Don't think that you're not for one second. Plus, girls don't line up to be with seventeen foot robots from other planets that turn into cars and can somehow be human. So, maybe something is wrong with both of us."
We laughed together. We got up from the bed, hand in hand. "I might as well go. They need to know about what I am now." I finally said.
He pulled me into another hug. "I'm coming. I just got you back. I'm not leaving your side."
He started to walk to the door but this time I pulled him back. I pulled his head down and connected his lips with mine. Once we parted I smiled at him and finally said what I wanted to be able to say for a while. "By the way, I love you, too."
Well, cheesy and all but you know. I am a hopeless romantic. Can't help it. I finished this yesterday, by the way. Fanfiction was having technical difficulties so I couldn't post this update. So annoying. Anyway, I've set up a new goal for this story. 300 reviews. I've never made it to 300 so maybe... Yeah. Review please?
Also, who would be interested in reading a dirty scene between Kenna and Bee? I have a friend helping me out and I was curious about who would want to read this. Tell me your opinion in your review!
